  1. IC: Morphos

"You and I both know that heroes don't do that, and what would I care about the amusement park.  I need to get in."

GM IC LARE (TALKING TO MORPHOS)

"If you have a valid reason, take it to the government. I'm sure they will inform me to let you in."

  2. GM IC LARE (TALKING TO MORPHOS)

"Because there are a bunch of Heroes in there killing people," snapped Lare. "And a broken amusement park ride that is unsafe. No one is going in or out of here without the government's explicit authorization until this is over."

The government said to keep people out...

  3. OOC: Wait, shoot. None of them are headed in that passageway, are they? I assumed the room they were in wasn't the one the portal was in, and they'd be headed deeper into the complex for it. Did I get that wrong? I mean, I can make that work anyway, and as a bonus Thumper's job got a lot easier.

OOC: The portal machinery is in the room where Thumper is. The key component to make it work is the way Quark is headed; one of the Phanlax (the original boss boy, not a copy) is hurrying to go put it in a vault. Her going down there is a good idea.

  4.

And now, Storyline & Theories will prosper under our benevolent, iron-fisted, no-humour-allowed rule.

    Changes to canon:

    • Everything never mentioned in the G1/G2 stories is discredited - let's streamline the canon
    • Teridax's name is now just Makuta
    • Brutaka is now not half-antidermis
    • The Red Star does not resurrect anyone
    • Skull Scorpio's existence has been removed
    • All prior changes to canon are now invalid

I never should have put Pulse in charge.

Sigh. The RNG has let me down...

  5. GM IC PHANLAX

The copy that was tripped by Cobra Shard fell on his face. It then got up and continued heading toward the object.

The rest ignored Bliss' attempts to negotiate. He had not given them a command.

    They also ignored Quark.

  6. OOC: One can only hope.  :begging:

OOC: :lookaround: And the scene will be posted in the morning...*rubs forehead*

I constructed the strategy that will get this game unstuck awhile ago, I just didn't use it for some reason. It is time...

But first, a GM post IC. :P

OOC: Ah, well, forget the morning. There shall be a GM post...NOOOOWWWW!

OOC: I think there was a post a while ago about the wall, actually. There are guards, and I think the wall is electrified?

OOC: Thanks.  I'm assuming Fishers controls them?

    IC: Morphos

    Morphos reaches the gate.

GM IC LARE (LOOKING AT MORPHOS)

    "You shall not pass."

    GM IC GREF

Gref opened the gate for the Deconstructor and his drones, letting them through, but kept his weapon trained on Morphos and any other villains that wished to follow them inside.

IC: Riot - The Astral (Hallways)

"Oh, really? Well if that's the case, I guess I better just stay on the ship and find a nice dark room to lock myself in."

Fighting the urge to facepalm, Riot merely shook his head.

"Seriously though, I've survived having Epix for a teammate, so I'm actually not stuck on a planet full of Villains," he said simply. "They're all stuck on a planet with me."

    GM NPC SURGE

"Uh, okay. I guess that's...terrific," Surge said. "Got any ideas to make their lives miserable?"

    IC: Shade - Astral

Shade exited the charging station fully charged, and made his way to the Mission Control deck to see if there was anything new afoot. As he walked in, he saw Zib and asked the poor overworked bot if there was anything Shade could help out with.

OOC: I'd have Zib respond myself if I knew what Hero Factory would officially tell an assassin to do on a job like this.

OOC: I don't know if this was missed or not. Either way, it was back on page 155 so I thought I'd better repost it just to be safe.  :)

    GM NPC ZIB

"Hmm, tricky," Zib said. "I'm not sure what you can do here just yet."

    Villain/neutral-ish Profile:

    Name: Opiphex

    Powers, Abilities, & Weapons:

Opiphex has four additional retractable arms with various tools fitted to them. These tools include a laser cutter, omni-driver(Which is a screwdriver partially made of nanobots. It does bolts, screws, and can even extract stripped screws. It can open simple mechanical locks), a small welder/solder torch, and a general purpose sharp grabber thing with a magnifying camera on the end that can view in normal, thermal, or x-ray views. He also has an [insert HF version of usb] interface that slides out of one of the arms.

As for weapons, Opiphex carries an experimental blaster that has been "borrowed" from one of Hero Factory's subcontractors and upgraded by Opiphex. It projects a vacuum bubble about a meter in diameter. The bubble expels atmospheric oxygen, causing the target's components to fuse together.

Appearance: Opiphex is rather spindly, and reminds one of a spider.

Bio: Opiphex is pretty much harmless, though his blaster might suggest otherwise. He's pretty much a footnote under "common criminals" in the Hero database. He dislikes lethality, which is the reason for his blaster. He runs a little shop in the Grunge District that sells, buys, and upgrades interesting little gadgets and antique technology.

    Location: Grunge District

OOC: Also, can I get a recap on what happened since the Beast thing?

Not approved, because of what Nato said about welding. Otherwise, it would be fine.

    GM IC ??? (W/ QUARK'S GROUP & SARACEN)

Unfortunately, a voice came over the loudspeaker in the room with the Phanlax. "Ignore all commands from the Heroes. Take the portal down. Finish the job."

    GM IC PHANLAX

The Phanlax resumed their work, trying to swat the heroic technology examiners away. One of them tried to leave to go get the pieces of the portal that Cobra Shard and some one else had thrown out the window.

  7. Night Six:

3:07 PM...Topic 1: Captain Obvious Returns From The Dead, posted by Secret Role:

    7. Since Bionicle obviously doesn't obey the laws of Physics, am I right in assuming that the Morbuzakh doesn't follow the rules of Botany?
The Morbuzakh obeys the rules of things like Day of the Triffids and old Doctor Who episodes.

    2)Do you watch Doctor Who?

    2) Yes

    3. Just curious, who's your favorite Doctor from Doctor Who? Mine's the Ninth.

    3) Ninth is good, but I have a soft spot for the fourth, since he is the first one I ever watched.

    6. On Doctor Who, how many Masters have you seen? I've only seen the new one, I liked the job he did on it.

6a. Which has been your favorite?

    6) There have been a total of five actors playing the Master counting the new one. My favorite was the first, a man named Roger Delgado (I think) who was on a lot during the time of the third Doctor. The second and third were on during the era of the fourth and fifth Doctors, and then the fourth was in the movie from a few years back.

    13. You said you're a Doctor Who fan. What did you think of Series 3?

    a. Specifically, what did you think of the episode with the Angels in it?

    b. What did you think of the last episode?

    13) I was sorry that Martha left, she was cute.

13a) Well, I am going to buy the angel action figures, if that tells you anything

13b) I had mixed feelings about it. I thought the new Master was too much like The Joker. I was more a fan of the original Master from the days of the third Doctor.

And with that, the Morbuzakh awoke from the dead and dragged ToaTimeLord to his demise.

ToaTimeLord, Chaos Complainer, killed by Secret Role.

3:20 PM...Response, posted by Supreme Complainer Overlord: I will be seeing no more of this, Nato. While you are not really a threat to us, you cause trouble and could end us all. Thus, you will have to go, for the good of the forum.

3:27 PM...Response, posted by Nato: I fail to see any logic in your reasoning-

But that was when the Supreme Complainer Overlord smashed Nato's head into his apartment window and tossed him to his death.

Nato, SECRET ROLE (Greg Quote Master), killed by Mafia.

Pulse, from his vantage point high above, slunk away back to the forum to re-assume his duties. After all, there were pyros to ban and canonizations to destroy. And obviously, when things were better, he would appoint his friend Lynn, his ally, to an Assistant position to make sure that no one ever thought of trying to canonize trivial details again.

    THE PROBLEMATIC COMPLAINERS ARE VICTORIOUS.

    GAME OVER.

    --------------------------------------

Topic 2: Gamemaster's notes, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: Thank goodness I'm not banned! But here is the roles:

    Problematic Complainers (Alliance: Mafia)

You are the Problematic Complainers, and your opinion on Bionicle story is simply this – it isn’t really that great. However, the Canonization proponents are proposing to make it even worse, and the Forum Leader appears to agree. It is time to strike hard and without mercy.

If the Forum Leader is killed, you will hold an election as to which one of you will assume his position. If you cannot decide, an RNG will be used. As such, it is in your interest to kill him or her as soon as possible. It will also serve your interests to kill the Canonization Proponents.

An alliance with the Secret Role could be considered. However, you must eliminate him or her in order to be victorious in the end.

Win condition: Death of the the Forum Leader, the Secret Role, and the Canonization Proponents.

    Powers:

Mafia – This group will select a player to kill each night, and who to send to kill them. You will have 12 hours to do so from the time on the top of this post, ideally. A RNG will be used at the 24 hour mark if you cannot decide.

Forum Leader Usurpation – Should the Forum Leader be killed, this group will select a successor who will earn the powers of the Problematic Complainer Forum Leader. Said forum leader will remain a member of this group and retain all powers herein.

Here's that role, which I actually used:

Problematic Complainer Forum Leader (Alliance: Mafia)

Fortunately for you, the old crusty relic of a FL has finally bitten the dust. Time for a more progressive attitude around here.

Powers (1 can be used per round):

Mafia Medic: You may protect a member of the Mafia from being lynched. The true target of the lynching will be whoever you decide! (This power cannot be used if the target of the lynching is not a member of the Mafia.)

YOU MUST ASSIGN THIS ROLE TO SOMEONE. IF THE PERSON DOES NOT RESPOND IN THE 24 HOUR VOTING BLOCK, THE POWER WILL NOT APPLY. IF THE PERSON IS KILLED, THE POWER WILL BE LOST.

Even if this role weren't in place, the village is even with the Mafia now, (I think) so it would be hard to lynch one of them.

But alas, the reveal you were all waiting for:

Secret Role: The Greg Quote Master (Alliance: Neutral)

You are the Greg Quote Master, the holder of Greg’s words of wisdom from previous times. For some odd reason you cannot figure out, the Forum Leader has supported you, even though your activities have resulted in several humiliating embarrassments. Secretly, though, you have always been in opposition to the Forum Leader and you want him GONE.

You also find the Problematic Complainers and the Canonization Proponents to also be detrimental to your interests. The Problematic Complainers have always wanted to discredit GregF and claim that he was an unreliable source, and the Canonization Proponents want to introduce more misinformation for you to have to correct.

You know the true identity of the Forum Leader. However, you cannot slay him directly without discrediting yourself and your role.

    Forum Leader: xccj

    Powers:

Talking in the Day – You may kill one member of any faction each day. You may not kill the Forum Leader using this power.

The Tyranny of GregF – If both the Forum Leader and all of the Problematic Complainers are eliminated you will assume the powers of the Forum Leader. This is your win condition.

If the Forum Leader is killed and you remain alive, you cannot be lynched by the village until all the members of the Mafia are dead.

You will have 24 hours to respond each night.

Of course, he did an excellent job of bandwagoning xccj by killing Ghidora, the only other person who could have been the forum leader. But for some reason, the mandate to kill the Mafia never seemed to sink in. I should know better than to delegate Barshai to someone else. But speaking of the Forum Leader:

    Forum Leader (Alliance: Village)

You are the Forum Leader, and your interest is preserving order in your forum. Your priority is protecting Members from the other rabble-rousing factions. In order for you to win, you must see to it that the Problematic Complainers and the Secret Role are killed. An alliance with the Canonization Proponents, should you have opportunity, could prove mutually beneficial.

If the Secret Role is killed, the Canonization Proponents are dead, and the Mafians are still alive, you cannot be lynched until all of the Mafians are dead.

Powers (1 can be used per round):

Village Medic – You may protect a player each night. If you inadvertently attempt to protect a Mafioso, they will be revealed to you.

Complainer Logic Assault – You may choose to block the powers of a Problematic Complainer for the round. This may be useful if you have clues as to the identity of a Problematic Complainer, but not their intended target. If you accidentally use this power on a villager, their identity will be revealed to you.

You will have 24 hours to respond each night round.

For some reason, this person kept trying to block the killing powers of villagers. He did an excellent job of that, I must say.

And we all know what a despicable character the Theorist turned out to be. Mental Note: never make Voltex the detective. That does not end well.

He did save the Forum Leader's life at one point, although if he left Shadowhawk alive, Shadowhawk could have saved him anyway.

Not a single vote was cast for a single Mafia member until Day 5. And the lynching where the Detective and the Medic nearly got double-hanged saddens me.

As for rest of it, all of you should stick to G&T. It's not safer here, but it's the land you know.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

What, you thought I would write a Mafia game about Storyline and Theories without including myself? :P That's why I said I had permission to poke fun at the person - making fun of myself is kind of fair game. And yes, this is actually a mirror of what happened back then in S&T, sadly. The string of canonizations have stopped. Real life...is less violent than this useful fiction.

    Cheers and stuff. :)

  9. I gotta ask for your honest opinion. When have you ever seen me actually vote based on the clues and not just blindly follow the bandwagon?

I honestly don't remember one way or the other.

Says the staff member who wanted me lynched :(

    Wasn't your first time, villain.

You should play more mafia games.

    AND NOW...

    Night Five:

3:00 PM...Topic 1: So here we are at the end, posted by Theorist: On this night...

The night is dark and full of terrors.

I have identified one for you all, and the rest I leave up to you, though you all may find yourselves less alone than expected after my demise.

A mission of chaos is never finished.

I will stir it up even from beyond the grave.

But for now, I'd like to share a poem with you all.

--in the words of Henry Scott-Holland...

    Death is nothing at all.

    It does not count.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

    Nothing has happened.

Everything remains exactly as it was.

I am I, and you are you,

and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.

Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by the old familiar name.

Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.

Put no difference into your tone.

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.

Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it ever was.

There is absolute and unbroken continuity.

What is this death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you, for an interval,

    somewhere very near,

    just round the corner.

    All is well.

Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.

One brief moment and all will be as it was before.

How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

    Theorist (Alliance: Village)

You are the theorist. Your interest is in making accurate predictions to aid the village. Should all of the threats to the village be eliminated, you will be victorious along with them.

Powers (Both of which can be used per round):

Detective – You may investigate one player per night.

Theorizing – You may choose to give me a message to be announced to the entire topic with the following day scene. This message may contain the results of your investigations, information that you have gained through other means, actual real theories, or any other message you may wish to convey.

You will have 24 hours to respond each night.

See, it says I am village aligned. The only problem is yours for listening to me. I must say, fooling you was most glorious.

3:12 PM...Response, posted by Supreme Complainer Overlord: KILL HIM!!

Thus said, the Plain Complainer shot the Theorist in the back, right in front of the Secret Role.

    Lucina, Theorist, killed by Mafia.

The Secret Role, however, turned and shot past the Supreme Complainer Overlord to a hidden female assassin standing behind him. The Overlord recieved no injury save for a torn assassin's cloak, but he howled in fury.

Taka Nuvia, Problematic Complainer (Mafian) killed by Secret Role.

3:20 PM...Response, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: After all, who writes "all hail the rightful king" except for Lucina anyway? Who lies except for Lucina? Who causes chaos and uses wily tricks except for Lucina? :)

  10. Also fishers, at that point myself, Nato, Luroka, and ToaD had all voted for Xccj.

And that was when the Evil Mafia Overlord's hammer smashed into the Forum Leader's poor skull. It was then that his anger finally evaporated. The Forum Leader was a fine and upstanding individual, and it was sad to see him go. Only fools would kill him.

People need to get their brains out and actually vote for the Mafia.

You underestimate my ability to be stupid. I switch to xccj

I just confirmed in the scene that xccj isn't Mafia.

Seriously, anyone voting for him is either Mafia or insane. And given the intelligence of this village, I would go with insane. (Seriously, the lack of intelligence of the village should be a flashing neon sign to who the Mafia is at this point.)

Luroka, this is probably not the game where you can pull a fishers and win. People need to get their brains out and actually vote for the Mafia.

Not that I actually care about whether the Mafia wins or not: I am the host, after all - but still, it's disheartening to put hints in every scene that are so obvious and then they get ignored. :(

  13. I'm confused. Why has the format of the game suddenly changed from posts on a forum to sneaking into people's homes and murdering them?

The Secret Role doesn't want to listen to Ghidora at all. (Trust me, it took a lot to omit Ghidora's yakking, but my gut said that it didn't fit.) Plus the Forum leader revoked his posting privileges. :P

And the mafia's choice of individual...is someone who doesn't post much.

7:00 PM...Topic 1: For Shame, posted by Theorist: Unfortunate.

You all failed my test, and now, trust on both sides has been shattered. Should I inform you of whom I investigated this round, or would doing so be their death sentence? For they were truly an ordinary villager once more.

I admit that I should have chosen someone else, but to afford your closest allies the proper trust, you must know their motivations.

I investigated my closest ally this round, and my closest ally is the rightful king.

If you know your history, you know who they are. I can trust them... but can you?

I think you could, if you were willing.

But we both know that you are not.

    All hail the rightful king.

8:06 PM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: This is definitely a good idea. I enjoy the smell of roast hawk.

But it was not the hand of the Chaos Complainer who went to work, but rather the hands of a trained assassin that exited a train, carrying a knife. Slinking past the clicking of keyboards in the night, the assassin slit the old bird's throat as he slept, and then, without making another sound, disappeared into the night.

Shadowhawk, Canonization Proponent, killed by Mafia.

8:20 PM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Thank You for saving my life. You will be missed.

Meanwhile, the Secret Role bashed into Ghidora's house and angrily blasted his head off with a shotgun. He had caught the Theorist rifling through his things earlier and was not happy about the current state of affairs. Unfortunately for him, Ghidora was yet another ordinary villager.

Ghidora, Member/Villager, killed by Secret Role.

The Forum Leader emerged from his corner - he had been trying to stop Ghidora from spreading more insanity in the forum when the Secret Role arrived. The Secret Role screamed at him for being an idiot - he would have to get it right this time or he would be dead - very dead - soon.

    ALL CANONIZATION PROPONENTS ARE DEAD.

    Canonization Proponents Role Reveal

    Canonization Proponents (Alliance: Village)

You are the Canonization proponents, the frightening and dangerous rogue group that wants to change the Bionicle story to suit your own ends. Unfortunately, the Problematic Complainers have proved to be significant opposition to your interests, so you must eliminate them. The Forum Leader so far has proved to be neutral to your cause, but you must preserve his life, otherwise the Problematic Complainers will ascend to power. If even one of you is alive and the above conditions are met, you will all be victorious.

You MUST hunt down the Secret Role and kill them in order to achieve your objectives. The sooner you do so, the more advantages you will have.

After the Mafia has decided on their kill, you will be informed of their decision. You then will have 12 hours to decide whether to use your first power to stop them or not. If you do not respond in that time, the night round will proceed unchanged. You do not have to use your powers every round, you can simply pass if you like.

You have the following powers at your disposal (only one of which can be used per round):

Complainer Appeasement – You may choose to have one of your group die instead of the Mafia’s intended target for the night. To use this power, simply tell me that you are using it and who among you will die. If you cannot decide, I will use an RNG.

Lynch Change – If the group suspects that the results of a lynching are not going accurately, they may redirect the results of the lynching in their favor. To use this power, simply tell me who you would like to be lynched instead.

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO VOTE. GOOD LUCK, SHEEPLE.
