  1. VOTES: Lucina - 4 xccj - 1 Luroka - 1 ------------------------------ Luroka, this is probably not the game where you can pull a fishers and win. People need to get their brains out and actually vote for the Mafia. Not that I actually care about whether the Mafia wins or not: I am the host, after all - but still, it's disheartening to put hints in every scene that are so obvious and then they get ignored.
  2. The Secret Role doesn't want to listen to Ghidora at all. (Trust me, it took a lot to omit Ghidora's yakking, but my gut said that it didn't fit.) Plus the Forum leader revoked his posting privileges. And the mafia's choice of individual...is someone who doesn't post much. Votes?
  3. Night Four: 7:00 PM...Topic 1: For Shame, posted by Theorist: Unfortunate. You all failed my test, and now, trust on both sides has been shattered. Should I inform you of whom I investigated this round, or would doing so be their death sentence? For they were truly an ordinary villager once more. I admit that I should have chosen someone else, but to afford your closest allies the proper trust, you must know their motivations. I investigated my closest ally this round, and my closest ally is the rightful king. If you know your history, you know who they are. I can trust them... but can you? I think you could, if you were willing. But we both know that you are not. All hail the rightful king. * * * 8:00 PM...Topic 2: Tonight's Murder, posted by Supreme Complainer Overlord: Tonight I think we should kill xccj. 8:05 PM...Response, posted by Theorist: No, tonight I have a clue. You should kill Shadowhawk instead. 8:06 PM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: This is definitely a good idea. I enjoy the smell of roast hawk. But it was not the hand of the Chaos Complainer who went to work, but rather the hands of a trained assassin that exited a train, carrying a knife. Slinking past the clicking of keyboards in the night, the assassin slit the old bird's throat as he slept, and then, without making another sound, disappeared into the night. Shadowhawk, Canonization Proponent, killed by Mafia. 8:20 PM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Thank You for saving my life. You will be missed. * * * Meanwhile, the Secret Role bashed into Ghidora's house and angrily blasted his head off with a shotgun. He had caught the Theorist rifling through his things earlier and was not happy about the current state of affairs. Unfortunately for him, Ghidora was yet another ordinary villager. Ghidora, Member/Villager, killed by Secret Role. The Forum Leader emerged from his corner - he had been trying to stop Ghidora from spreading more insanity in the forum when the Secret Role arrived. The Secret Role screamed at him for being an idiot - he would have to get it right this time or he would be dead - very dead - soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ALL CANONIZATION PROPONENTS ARE DEAD. Canonization Proponents Role Reveal Canonization Proponents (Alliance: Village) You are the Canonization proponents, the frightening and dangerous rogue group that wants to change the Bionicle story to suit your own ends. Unfortunately, the Problematic Complainers have proved to be significant opposition to your interests, so you must eliminate them. The Forum Leader so far has proved to be neutral to your cause, but you must preserve his life, otherwise the Problematic Complainers will ascend to power. If even one of you is alive and the above conditions are met, you will all be victorious. You MUST hunt down the Secret Role and kill them in order to achieve your objectives. The sooner you do so, the more advantages you will have. After the Mafia has decided on their kill, you will be informed of their decision. You then will have 12 hours to decide whether to use your first power to stop them or not. If you do not respond in that time, the night round will proceed unchanged. You do not have to use your powers every round, you can simply pass if you like. You have the following powers at your disposal (only one of which can be used per round): Complainer Appeasement – You may choose to have one of your group die instead of the Mafia’s intended target for the night. To use this power, simply tell me that you are using it and who among you will die. If you cannot decide, I will use an RNG. Lynch Change – If the group suspects that the results of a lynching are not going accurately, they may redirect the results of the lynching in their favor. To use this power, simply tell me who you would like to be lynched instead. YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO VOTE. GOOD LUCK, SHEEPLE.
  4. C'mon guys. This is so easy to figure out, even a sheep could do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_S9VvJM1PI
  5. AND VOTING IS NOW CLOSED... ----------------------------------------------------------- Day Three: 4:50 PM...Topic 1: Why Do I Even Bother, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: Well, I guess it is time to vote, sheep. 4:51 PM...Response, posted by Totally Not a Bird: TMD, because the Theorist said he was evil. 4:52 PM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Are we sure the Theorist is telling the truth? 4:55 PM...Response, posted by Baa I'm a Sheep: The Theorist said that Blade was a villager and she was. I vote TMD. 4:56 PM...Response, posted by Supreme Complainer Overlord: I vote TMD. 4:58 PM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: Burn TMD with FIIIIIIREEEE! 5:00 PM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Theorist, I don't know who you are, but you are seriously awesome. Ta-Metru Defender, MEMBER/VILLAGER, lynched. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 5:06 PM...Response, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: Unfortunately, I am immune from lynching, dear TMD. But alas, I will be watching my back in the blogs from now on. Though it technically wasn't my fault...but alas, I cannot reveal who you REALLY should blame. Yet. You will soon find out. NIGHT ROLES PM, 12/24. MOVE.
  6. VOTES: Lucina - 2 Ta-Metru Defender - 5 But might the Theorist be on the side of the complainers? Or, perhaps, they may just want to watch the world burn? Who stands to gain from my killing? Not the common villagers, of course not. Think back (or just hit back a couple pages). Remember you being called 'sheeple' for agreeing with someone else? Remember Lucina and Ehks complaining about us not using our brains? Behold, I have challenged the establishment and they have struck back. I levied no charges against my fellow villages, merely asked that we look at the actions of the proverbial bourgeoisie and question whether they have our best interests at heart. Would a villager dismisses their countrymen's opinions out of hand? Dismiss them as being 'sheeple' following some 'bandwagon'? No, I am innocent, I do not wish for any of us to be better than the next. Thus I say, DEATH TO LUCINA, DEATH TO THE ARISTOCRACY! Should I count this as a vote for Lucina?
  7. Who said the secret role was village aligned? VOTES: Lucina - 2 Ta-Metru Defender - 2
  8. ENTRY DEADLINE: MAY 19, 2016 For shame, Lego. Seriously, you missed the opportunity for a good villain in Von Nebula, you forgot about what good comic art was when you hired Sayger, and darn it, that battle with Skull Basher was waaaay too short. Fortunately, you have your loyal fans to tell you all about it. And now they are going to fix it for you. That's right, for this contest you are going to take a moment where Lego had so much potential and threw it out the door, and instead use that potential for your own creations. You shall develop Von Nebula, redraw that ugly Sayger scene, and give Skull Basher the battle he deserves - or whatever else you saw a potential for greatness that was trashed in the name of the almighty dollar. The winner will receive ONE 2016 Winter Wave set of their choice. I will make every reasonable effort to ensure that you get your prize. (If you are in some country not named the United States, you are responsible for telling me about any problems I might have delivering your prize if you win that UPS won't tell me about. If you know that it will cost over $100 to ship your prize to your country, don't enter.) HOW TO ENTER: Post your entry in a topic on the BZPower forums, and link the topic to this blog entry by posting a comment on this blog entry below. RULES: READ THEM, ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY 1. MoCs, games, stories, artwork, comics, and basically anything you can post in the Creative Outlet will be accepted as an entry. However, your entry does not have to perfectly fit there - if you have some other lack of potential you would like to address, go for it. (Bionicle website redesign, anyone? ) 2. Entries MUST be posted in a topic on BZPower forums, which MUST be linked to this blog entries' comment section. The actual entry may be hosted offsite, but there must be a topic linking to it and drawing attention to it. This is required for this contest - I know, it's weird, just live with it. 3. Entries must have never been posted on BZPower before the contest began - March 3, 2016. Anything after that is fair game. Posting it anywhere else doesn't disqualify you, period. 4. Entries must USE Lego's untapped potential for something CREATIVE. Whining on the forums about Lego's lack of ambition is NOT an entry. 5. Unlimited Entries are allowed per person, but PLEASE do not post 10 MoC topics in one day and enter them all. Please be courteous to your fellow forum browsers. Otherwise, go to town. 6. All Lego themes, past and present, are fair game for entries. 7. Every BZPower member, from new members to staff members, are allowed to enter. Having a higher site rank or popularity will not increase your chances of winning - so yes, new member, you can win too. Except for me. fishers64, as this contest's host, may not enter. 8. Collaborative Entries ARE ALLOWED, with the following IMPORTANT WARNINGS: A. MAXIMUM of 3 PEOPLE. You are NOT allowed to recruit the entire site against one person; that's just wrong. B. You are responsible among yourselves for deciding who gets the prize of the Bionicle set. I will assume that the person who starts the topic for your project is the one who will get the prize, unless you specifically tell me otherwise. If you argue over who gets what in front of me, you both get nothing. If you are a lone contributor, you do not get the right to complain if a collaborative team wins. Someone convinced someone else to work for them for free, or they bribed them somehow. That's called life skills. Learn them. 9. For Fan Created Games, your epic plan to redesign a boring Lego game will be accepted as an entry. However, entries must reflect actual capability of developing the game described - you must have an actually feasible plan. Renders and screenshots of partially completed games do help. (An exception to rule #2 will be made in this case - you can post the full text in a comment here, since planning topics are not allowed in FCM. For collaborative teams, the name on the comment is getting the prize unless otherwise indicated.) 10. RPGs need to be approved and running by the end of the entry period to qualify as an entry, as per rule #2. Don't make an RPG for this contest that you have no intention of running; that's just cruel. I expect you to run your game; otherwise it will be DQed. If you're stuck in the middle of the process, you may ask me for an extension - I tried to make the entry period long enough for you to get through the approvals and into running the game. HOW WINNERS WILL BE DETERMINED: IF YOU CARE, READ ON The entries will be judged by me on the following criteria: 1. Validity of the potential squandering. Think less of "I want this from Lego and they didn't give it to me waaah" and more of "They could have done this, and it would've been more fantastic than what they did, but they didn't, so now I'm doing it." A less valid example than the ones in the top paragraph would be if you handed me the plans for a BIONICLE MMORPG. We don't have a good case that Lego has the potential to do that. Again, this is partly subjective - and it doesn't have to live up to chir-brother standards of potential, just that the lack of the potential's use resonates with some people. Generally, smaller remakes are better than large ones. Remaking Sayger's artwork is better than remaking the entirety of the Lego Group's corporate direction. (XD) 2. How well your work actually uses the potential Lego squandered. 3. Quality of the resulting work. (Epicly Awesome? YES GO FOR IT.) If I get a high number of high-quality entries that are high in all of the above attributes, a poll will be held. However, you will not be able to throw a low-quality entry in here and expect to capitalize on your popularity or rank. This is an open contest across all forums - I'm looking for a wide variety of entries. The more the merrier! ENTRY DEADLINE: MAY 19, 2016 - GO! ENTRY LIST: 1. Slizer Dome by Pahrak #0579 (Games and Trivia game) 2. Hero Factory: Contagion by Timeimageness (Epic) 3. Strakk's Best Friend by ZippyWharrgarbl. (One-shot comedy) 4. Toa 2015 - Worth the money? by Ghidora (MoCs) 5. RoboRiders Re:Start by Pahrak #0579 (Epic) 6. Spybotics Playsets by Disty Says Hi
  9. Night Three: 1:00 AM...Topic 1: Concerning Recent Events, posted by Theorist: You all have disappointed me. Your mindless idiocy has seen another ordinary villager dead. You foolish, foolish fools! I said to watch Underscore, not to kill him! But then, some of your votes were surely meant not to kill Underscore, but to rather keep yourselves from suspicion. This way of thinking I can understand, for it was my reasoning as well. But listen closely, for on this day, you must be sheep indeed. For I have looked upon TA-METRU DEFENDER, and he is the ENEMY - a COMPLAINER. Execute him as soon as you can, else the Complainers might win. That cannot be allowed. I warn you also to keep watch on the following members: Lucina and Ehks, who both appear to be discordant; Ghidora, whose reasoning is flawed even for a sheep; Taka Nuvia, who sneaks around in the shadows - and has won as a mafia member using this tactic many times; and Nato, whose logic can be unpredictable at best, and might be turned on you. All hail the rightful king. 1:10 AM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Indeed, now I will ride into battle. Ta-metru defender will not be doing any killing this night. 1:12 AM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: But I will be. I declare that the evil SMOKE MONSTER must be eliminated. Thus said, the Chaos Complainer sucked the smoke monster into a vacuum cleaner, burned the entire thing with fire, and smashed it, thus exploding the poor machine with the monster inside it. 1:15 AM...Response, posted by John Locke: 1:20 AM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: YEEEESSSSS!!! I have FINALLY been able to kill him! Toa Smoke Monster, Member/Villager, killed by Mafia. 1:30 AM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Unfortunately, I knew all of this. And Theorist... * * * 1:30 AM...Topic 2: Nature of Destral, posted by Supreme Complainer Overlord: Shame on all of you! This is not how we do things! We drum people up on charges properly! The real reason to kill Smoke Monster was that he was trying to canonize Destral is an island haunted by an antidermis monster. I have proof of this! 1:35 AM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: Mwehehe. You cannot stop the spread of chaos! 1:40 AM...Response, posted by Ehks: Really, you guys are complaining about how other people are complaining??? Ugh, why do I even go on this forum anyway? 1:45 AM...Response, posted by Secret Role: It's somewhat possible that an antidermis monster could be running around. I mean, Makuta make Rahi after all. The problem is that antidermis is sentient, so it probably wouldn't become a monster, per se. It depends on how you define monster, but I usually think of them as dumb. On the other hand: After a few years on Destral alone, maybe one of the Makuta could have gone mad and acted in a insane-like way. We all know what a few years of solitary confinement turned Miserix into. So it's not even a very good charge. Ehks, Member/Villager, killed by Secret Role. Oops, wrong topic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AND YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO VOTE!
  10. Day Two: 12:00 PM...Topic 1: Hopefully you get it right THIS time, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: You did a great job finding those killers, Sheeple. Even my secret role is doing better than you. Now get to voting...and get it RIGHT. Or Else. 12:01 PM...Response, posted by I'm a better Sheep than You: Hey, dude, stop threatening us, ok? We're doing pretty good. We're only sheep. 12:03 PM...Response, posted by Baa I'm a Sheep: I believe the Evil Mafia Overlord's post underscores the reality of the situation. 12:05 PM...Response, posted by Doctor_Jack_Shepard: Let's vote for Underscore. He is my worst rival, after all. Thus said, the sheep stampeded to vote for Underscore in large numbers. 2:45 PM...Response, posted by John Locke: Oh Jack, I wish you had believed. 2:47 PM...Response, posted by Doctor_Jack_Shepard: Underscore has been misleading us this whole time. He deserves to die. Don't you agree? 2:50 PM...Response, posted by Totally Not A Bird: I think you should kill the Smoke Monster instead. Isn't that more of a threat? 4:00 PM...Response, posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: Not this time, TNAB. Underscore, Member/Villager, Lynched. NIGHT ROLES PM. 12/24 HOURS, GET ON IT.
  11. VOTES: Smoke Monster - 2 Underscore - 10 Rider/Phillips - 1 Luroka - 1 VOTING IS NOW CLOSED. SCENE WILL BE POSTED IN THE MORNING.
  12. VOTES: Smoke Monster - 2 Underscore - 8 Rider/Phillips - 1
  13. The Canonization Proponents, the Theorist, and the Forum Leader are all village aligned.
  14. Night Two: 10:00 PM...Topic 1: Of Birds and Shadows...posted by Theorist: For shame! You have all disappointed me so, for did I not claim that I saw BLADE, and that Blade was GOOD? Do not provoke the wrath of the madmen waiting in the shadows, for I have witnessed it, and it is both great and terrible. Ignite the complainers, and send them to their knees! On this night, I have looked upon SHADOWHAWK, and I warn you all that he is GOOD. He is an ordinary villager much like Blade, and was innocent of last night's crimes. I warn you against chaos, but do not confuse chaos for the evil you must destroy. But also do not confuse chaos for the good you must save. I warn you now against Pulse, whose motivations remain unclear to me. I warn you also against Voxumo, who proves sneaky, and Taka Nuvia, who often passes under the radar as well. Watch out for Underscore, who has recently changed their name, and might be overlooked because of it. Pay attention to Ehks and Nato, who have shown valuable uses of logic - but who might also use it for the wrong ends, for I have not as-yet determined where their loyalties lie. All hail the rightful king. 10:02 PM...Response, posted by the Plain Complainer: That is complete nonsense, Theorist, and you know it. Shadowhawk is a canonization proponent, those scum, and is plainly a threat to us all. 10:05 PM...Response, posted by Shadowhawk: No, Manducus is the real threat, you lying complainer scum. Go kill him instead. Thus said, the Plain Complainer plainly shot Manducus through the face. As the villagers watched him fall to the ground, they found on him a device to influence public opinion to avoid lynching. What fun. What dread. Manducus, Canonization Proponent, killed by Mafia. * * * 10:04 PM...Topic 2: Previously on LOST...posted by Forum Leader: I think Smoke Monster is a Complainer. What say you? 10:10 PM...Response, posted by Chaos Complainer: I have a bad feeling about him. 10:11 PM...Response, posted by Forum Leader: Interesting. * * * 11:34 PM...Topic 3: Concerning Dark Hunters, posted by Voxumo: Seriously, people need to stop canonizing random Dark Hunters with names in the Greg Topic. That's a bad practice. 11:45 PM...Response, posted by Secret Role: Actually, you won't be telling anyone I said this, but back in the day with all the Dark Hunter contests, the names were chosen by the contestants, not Greg. So nothing really has changed. Voxumo, First Complainer (Mafia), killed by Secret Role. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO VOTE.

"And now that I've told you how to lie and get away with it, I shall end this one on a comparable sour note. Check everything. And be careful." This is an O? O_O "Humble people can be the worst." In context, I just proved myself right, didn't I?
  16. Day One: 12:23 PM...Topic 1: Today's lynching...posted by Evil Mafia Overlord: It has come to my attention that dear Unit has been untimely slain. I propose that we begin the hunt for his killer at once. Who should be killed in response to this atrocity, so the Complainers may learn to be silent and not oppose us? 12:30 PM...Response, posted by Member Villager: I think Shadowhawk is the killer. The Secret Role post was talking about birds, and Shadowhawk is a bird. 12:31 PM...Response, posted by Baa I'm A Sheep: Nivawk = Shadowhawk. This a totally sound conclusion, since you said their were hints in the scenes, oh greaaat overlord. 12:36 PM...Response, posted by I'm a better Sheep than you: Yeeeesss, lynch Shadowhawk. He is the worst. I lost to him in a kohlii match that one time, and I want revenge. 12:40 PM...Response, posted by Shadowhawk: This doesn't make any sense. Shadowhawks and Nivawks are completely different species. I just got word back from Greg on this. 1:00 PM...Response, posted by Totally not a bird: Also, I don't trust the theorist. Let's lynch Blade instead, and see how much of a liar he is. And that was the end of poor Blade. Indeed, as they strung her up for no reason at all, they found the theorist wasn't lying. Not by a long shot. Blade, Member, lynched. NIGHT ROLES PM. YOU HAVE 24 HOURS.

  18. Amen. Especially with rock albums. You must play a Red album in order. Even some pop albums I've found lose something if they are played out of order. One particular pop artist wrote his album to be a unified expression about life that gets lost if you shuffle it. For shame, album shufflers.
  19. Votes: Shadowhawk - 5 Ghidora - 2 Blade - 2 Lucina - 3 Pulse - 1 VOTING IS NOW CLOSED. SCENE WILL BE POSTED IN THE MORNING. AND YES, THERE IS A REASON WHY, BEYOND HOST LAZINESS.
  20. Votes: Shadowhawk - 4 Ghidora - 2 Blade - 1 Lucina - 3 It was. Nobody said the Greg quotes had to make sense. Actually, this role isn't at Greg's expense...it's at the expense of somebody else...and I have their permission to make it. Saying anything more would reveal the role...although at this point it could be guessed. Who is missing from the role list, obviously?
