  1. My understanding is that Toa of Water can turn water vapour into water, because Toa can create, control, and absorb their elements. However, temperature appears to be under the control of the ice and fire elements.
  2. I like the "increase in entropy" theory. I think it is a valid explanation. However, would a 8 year old understand that? I didn't learn about entropy until I was in high school. Further, if you increase entropy, you do speed up time. It's my understanding that entropy is the reason time is linear in our universe (and in the Bionicle universe, barring a Mask of Time disaster). Time is a change between low entropy and higher entropy.
  3. Av-Matoran have this ability, though. I don't like that it takes away from them. I agree with this. It was refreshing to see that, in a world with strictly defined Matoran types and jobs, some oddballs who were different.
  4. But Brutaka had a bio on Bionicle.com that said he was evil. Personally I think Brutaka's morality is a thing of debate. He was a good guy gone bad who came back to the good side and then got mind-replaced in a plot twist by another dubious morality.
  5. OOC: Again, noted. This NPC/GM relationship is a problem that I'm working on a solution for.
  6. IC: Saracen Rune - Pessimistic. "Don't make promises you can't keep," he muttered quietly, thinking back to the dozens of corpses likely still buried beneath the ruins of the fallen Hero Factory. IC: The Deconstructor - Baffled. His limited logic circuits were unable to decide which was more confusing - that heroes were on Mechna, or that they were breaking fairground rides. "I... I'll..." he trailed, a thought occuring to him, "Do the heroes have access to information on my past?" His only past crime had been committed on Mechna itself, so he thought it unlikely that Hero Factory would know about it, but he wanted to be certain before he went anywhere near them. GM IC ??? (TALKING TO THE DECONSTRUCTOR) "Not to my knowledge," the bureaucrat said. An brief pause as he opened a file. "No, they do not. We do not report crimes to the Hero Factory unless it would be to our advantage to do so, and your infraction definitely would not have fallen into that category." "Of course, opposing and fighting the Heroes would qualify as a crime. They view it that way, in their own twisted moral system." GM NPC STRINGER Stringer shook his head. "You need a win, man."
  7. Approved. Approved. OOC: Yes. And noted. I was wondering why NPCs weren't being taken over by players, now I have an answer.
  8. The clone tool works for multiple pieces. You just have to select them with the multiple selection tool before choosing the clone tool, just as you would with copy and paste. Yep. The big difference with the clone tool is that you have to select everything just to make one copy, whereas with copy+paste you only have to select what you want to copy once to make multiple copies. So copy and paste can be more useful for models where you want to have large parts of the model repeated several times. Or you accidentally deselect the stuff you selected with the multiple selection tool when you switch to the clone tool, leaving you having to select everything again, like I usually do. Easier to hit Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V.
  9. Kongu shows up with his Gukko bird to teach Matau how to fly again. The Le-Matoran have been taken over by Krana and are playing poker with the Bahrag!
  10. If I ever become a touring songwriter, I will make a tour in Australia.

  11. I pre-booked a conference hall. Did Lucina block it all? Conference Hall w/flyers, pre-booking Conference Hall + flyers for the next round AGAIN, and if Lucina pranks me... I will give him candy.
  12. I hate chocolate pie, so I just sit there and eat the Oreos off the top. Oreos: 10/10. Rest of pie: 0/10. I then pull a cherry pie out of the oven and throw it at who I think is the pie thief.
  13. I'm not complaining. It gives me time to tie up some other loose ends.
  14. My mind-reading powers do in fact work on rare occasions.
  15. Yes. I can even start it sooner. I'm just waiting for the go-ahead.
  16. I use copy & paste to duplicate connected sections of big models. The Clone tool only works for one piece at a time.

    Windows 10?

I can see the benefit from upgrading from Windows 8 to 10, but I'm not really motivated to upgrade my computer since my windows 7 is operating fine. It boots up slow, but I'm 90% certain my antivirus program is to blame for that.
  18. Just enter, and I'll figure out the shipping mess at the end.
  19. GM IC ??? (TALKING TO ARSENAL) "They have come here to investigate the portal we built to get us into this dimension. We plan to trap them here forever - this is an entire universe of villains just like us. It is a safe place for us to live...but they will be slaughtered. We will see to that." GM NPC SURGE Surge had got out of the medical bay after getting his arms fixed, and was heading for the bridge, only to run into a short-tempered Hero he thought he remembered from the battle...an "Agent Riot". Yeah. Something like that. He looked pretty oblivious and lost right now though. "Hey man. You okay? You look kinda...lost."
  20. GM IC ??? (TALKING TO ARSENAL) "Yes." GM IC FRAVI "Okay, so he's dead, but you don't know who killed him?" Fravi was scratching her head on whether to believe this guy or not.
  21. OOC: No, it was because the original profile, before I modified it, had him with a backstory involving Traferous' assembly tower. He literally wanted the character to spawn from it, and he wanted an answer to the question of whether or not it was okay. I told him no, since I deemed it too outlandish, and he built a better backstory for the character. I also told him to strip out some parts of the character that were confusing and possibly OP, and he did this. And your reaction to this is precisely why he went to me instead of you. I could go into great detail of probably why he was uncomfortable, and all of my experience relating to this subject (more than you would ever want to know) - but suffice to say this: Nato, the way you criticize people leaves them feeling threatened and uncomfortable. This doesn't mean that criticism is bad - obviously, in some cases, it's more than warranted. But the way your style is sometimes comes across as trying to control what the other person is doing (this person/player is not up to my RPG standards, therefore they are evil/wrong) as opposed to "this profile has errors". People are redeemable; OP characters are not. Now I will get off of my soapbox, and go back to my real job here, which is running a RPG. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GM NPC FURNO Furno turned his radio on to scan. A couple of metal bands came on, hard rock, some dubstep. Finally he got to a news station. "This is the Von Nebulars, your favorite news station for all the latest crimes and opportunities to commit them. Today is sunny in Makuhero City, as sunny as it ever gets with all the pollution going on. Tod?" "Thanks Clarrissa. Recently a large planet came through a giant portal on the other side of the galaxy. It sounds like a prime opportunity for looting and profits. Exotic items from other dimensions pack a premium on the black market, which is the only market that matters!" GM NPC BULK/STORMER/STRINGER/TOURISTS Bulk opened the door. "Hey buddies, sorry, this isn't a ride. We're here on business." "Hero Factory!" one of them gushed. "So cool." "We didn't call for help," one of them said. "Is it a false alarm?" "Did you see the giant portal in the sky awhile back?" Stormer said. "Is that a problem?" one of them said. Some of them screamed. "It's going to be okay," Stringer said. "We're going to deal with it, and everyone is going to go home safe. Okay?" Stormer looked back into the ship. "Come on, Heroes. Let's go save the day." GM IC ??? (TALKING TO THE DECONSTRUCTOR) "Perhaps knowing that the damage to the ride was caused by Heroes might make the job more worth your while," he sneered into the phone. GM IC ??? & ??? (THE SHADY BAR) + NPC BARTENDER PERSON "Get out of the way!" a civilian shouted, whacking patrons over the head with a semi-automatic weapon in order to make his way to the bar. His partner followed, screaming something about fried drinks and candy. "Ugh, not them again," the bartender grumbled, pulling out a machine gun of his own. "Two drinks," the civilian with the gun demanded, slapping money on the table. "Bannana-flavored brandy, wet." "Birds like us play khet!" the other said, grinning deviously. The bartender went to get the best approximation he could of the order, looking nervously at the insane rambling one. The other patrons at the bar had given those two as much of a berth as they could - their reputation had got around. "News?" the first inquired, still following the barman with his gun. "Rogue hero stopped by looking to raise the dead," the barman said. "Boring," said the insane one. "Better news bruise." "Some heroes went to the tourist district, after the big portal in the sky." "Leapfrog is too hard a game. No fun." The two nodded agreement and sipped their drinks.
