  1. Long Post Warning!!! So I decided to start a project that almost seems ready to implement. As the title says, I'm making a template for voice acting potential for the game. The first part for stuff like cut-scenes was actually easy. Providing an SWF file for proof of concept. (yea screwed up one of the lines, but it was shown differently on the de-compiler.) Second part is a little more tricky. i dug in the code in the dialogue box TexSub.swf there is something i found that might be something. else if(Segment < CurrentSegments) { if(OpenIsDone eq "1") { tellTarget("../../") { SpeakerText = " "; LetterCount = "1"; Segment += "1"; InputText = eval("Reply_" add Section add "_" add Segment); InputVoice = "Voice_" add Screen add "_" add Section add "_" add Segment add ".swf"; } gotoAndStop(1); } else { tellTarget("../../") { SpeakerText = " "; LetterCount = "1"; Segment += "1"; InputText = eval("OpenStatement" add Segment); InputVoice = "Voice_" add OpenScreen add "_OpenStatement_" add Segment add ".swf"; } gotoAndStop(1); } } else { tellTarget("../../") { SpeakerText = " "; InputText = AskMe; LetterCount = "1"; InputVoice = "Voice_" add Screen add "_AskMe.swf"; OpenQBox = "1"; Now Where the parts where it says "Voice_" I'm finding interesting. Now i know programming, but i don't know Actionscript. (Update: After messing with the code I'm starting to get the concepts.) If anyone can help me solve this thing that would be awsome. Files i'm using are TexSub.SWF, IV.2A.SWF (Jaller's dialogue file) and Text_IV.2A_eng.txt to get this running. Episode_4-2_VA.swf
  2. sorry for the ultra late reply, i considered this idea dead, but since i have one backup on this project and that is better than nothing. i already have the toa models but they are in the 32x32 resolution. ill pm you more info when i get the chance.
  3. Same exact thing here. although i plan to orginise it in quarter and galon zip bags. plus I have some lego parts mixed in. btw Turtleman, If you want to make orginising easier if you have thousands of bricks i got a three step process on how to do it, orginise the parts by part catagory, then orginise them by actual part, then organise them by color, it might take a long time but it should be worth it when you build that next model.
  4. My first ever set (if this even counts) was the McDonald's Motoro. I remeber building the guy and then I looked at the poster that came with and I was in awe seeing Kopaka right next to him(I think that's maby why he bacame my favorate Toa and ironicly i was never able to get the chance to buy him) I was like 8 or 9 at the time. If you want to count buyable sets, it was Gali from 2001, I ended up having all the mata sets besides Lewa and Kopaka. Folowed the story and bought some of the toys ever since
  5. K sorry about that. As you can tell. I'm a huge beginner when it comes to this forum.
  6. Just as the title says, this is a Bionicle modification i'm going to make, but here is my twist. This modification will literaly be like lego on building with the Bionicle parts and due to my Bionicle in Scale Thread, I'm going to make one that 'should' fit the scale of minecraft. (note:Until I can change the title i did figure out a name. 'Better than Bohrok', yes it's unoriganal but alot of names i thought of have been already taken.) what it is: Now before you yell it out yes this is going to be a project similar to Matrix's Biocraft, but no plagiarism is involved AT ALL!!! If Matrix or anybody wants to help me on making this modification, that's fine by me. Now on to the good stuff. This modification will be based around existing items and sets from 2001-2003(with exceptions) not only will this be 'to scale' but you will be able to play as all the characters/rahi. But I'll take it 1 step further, you will be able to make your own Toa without you having to use java coding. how will this be done? you ask, well you'll have to wait and see. Also all models will be close to the resemblance of the parts. There will be a normal model version(which will be based on the 16x16 textures) and high quality version(this will be based on the 32x32 texture making the models more detailed, It's hard to exsplain without showing you an image) there will be much, much more to this modification but for right now I want to keep it a surprise. Maybe down the line i can provide a document of every feature. Now to let you folks know, the models will come quickly since I've been doing cgi modeling for 6 years, but to warn you the coding may come slower. Also to note this will be a contributing project. So if anyone wants to help provide recomendations on how to do the models, providing images, etc. That's fine with me, also you will be credited for such help. So here's the details of how the progression of the modification will work. Size of the parts: By doing alot of research and math, the Technic part that will be the foundation of the parts will be half a standard peg. The peg will be 1x1x1 pixels. (I'm Doing this on a block of 16x16 pixels) Software: here is the list of software that I will use for the mododification: Your Favorite 3d modeling program (i.e. Blender, 3ds Max, AutoCAD) Ldraw (with the Ldraw unofficial parts addon) LDVeiw Minecraft Forge Lego Digital Designer Minecraft Image Editor (i.e. GIMP/Photoshop) Techne So that's all the software, all of them (besides Photoshop, 3ds Max and AutoCAD) are free so you don't have to worried about paying for programs. Priority List: This is a list of what 'should' be finished first. These however do not need to be in that order. As of right now i want to focus on sets between 2001-2003 1st Group: Toa Mata/Nuva Matoran schematics of 2001 and 2003 Turaga 2nd Group Rahi Group 1 (The normal builds of 2001 rahi sets and the 2002 Master builder Rahi set will be used) Bohrok(this includes the original, Va and Kal) 3rd Group Teridax(2003 set) Bahrag 4th Group Kaita/Nui Fromations Rahi Group 2 (this is Rahi from Alternate Builds or Combiner Sets) Takutanuva So Again, Don't have to be in order. So that's the details, I leave you with a WIP ussal crab, by that i mean add transparent textures add some flat 1x1 pixel blocks then I'm done with the crab. Right now my focus are on the rahi since i need to research on how to model some of the parts the 2001 matoran and toa, like I said, Ldraw may have alot of parts, but not all. Until then, see you then Ok quick update, for right now I ususaly can work on the modeling on thusrsdays and saturdays since I work at a lego studio on those days because they have parts I need to do the reasearch on. But I can only work on them during my break and lunch break(each 1 hour) but the parts shouldn't take that long. It took me 1/2 an hour to make the ussal. Once the 2001 toa and matoran are done then the modification can go into full development. (Aka 1-5 hours each day due to my free time) update number 2: just finished the toa mata. note these are only the blender CGI models and have not been implemented into minecraft. If asked enough I'll see if i can post the link to the actual 3d files.(with the moderators' permission of course I'm still new to this forum) so here they are the one, the only,TOA MATA! tell me what you folks think and if asked nicely enough, i may build the toa kaita early. next up the 2001 matoran.
  7. ok, so just to clarify. i should finish a concept model (working on the ussal crab right now so hope that will work) and place it in Fan Created Media. and make sure to write modification then the abriviated term.(after my post i noticed that as well) so i'm going to copy my original post so i can keep the details. Can you get a moderator to lock this or even beter remove it so people don't get confused why there are 2 topics that are almost identical?
  8. Just as the title says, this is a Bionicle mob modification i'm going to make, but here is my twist. This modification will literaly be like lego on building with the Bionicle parts and due to my “Bionicle in Scale” Thread, I'm going to make one that 'should' fit the scale of minecraft. Also to note this will be a contributing project. So if anyone wants to help provide models, images, etc. That's fine with me, also you will be credited for such work. So here's the details of how the progression of the moderator will work. Size of the parts: By doing alot of research and math, the Technic part that will be the foundation of the parts will be half a standard peg. The peg will be 1x1x1 pixels. Now FYI Ldraw and the Ldraw addon don't have all the Lego parts, these will need to be figured out via the modeling programs/images So that's the details, I'll find and build a basic Technic based Rahi for an example. Until then, see you then
  9. OK MATH TIME! So after conversions the real Toa would be 219.456 cm. The toy thanks to Aanchir is 16.8 cm. After some research the peg hole is about .485 cm. By calculating a ratio which came out as 2286:175 (sadly this is as simplified as it gets for the ratio numbers.) So using this ratio the peg hole size in the bionicle world would be 6.335485714 cm (or 6.335 if you want to round it.) So there's the bionicle toy to universe scale. Well that took a while but it was worth it. Mind if this thread gets pinned somewhere so folks who were wondering the same thing as me can find this?
  10. Huh, well in that case, that may help me out... kindof, now it is a given for the charecters to be scaled down for play sets. At the end of the day, most franchises don't pay atttention/care about scale. The reason i asked the question is going toward a project i'm doing, but thats for another thread. so let's say the Bionicle universe IS in scale, my next question is, How tall is Tahu Mata virsion in his tallest stance without his mask?
  11. So I've been wanting to figure out what is the scale of the bionicle universe. To elaborate i'm wanting to know the size of a Technic pin if it were sized in the bionicle universe. So here is our first step. w know a Toa is 1.6 bio or 7'2.4". now this is where things get a bit frusterating, all of the Toa sets vary in size. the eirliest form this fact could come from is either during the Toa Mata/Nuva or the Toa Metru, in which the Toa Metru are a bit taller if i recall. So whats the orgin of the 1.6 bio fact? Once i have that i can start up the math.
  12. Welcome to the wonderful Bionicle site known as BZPower!
