  1. finally picked up a ps4, after long last! picked up a bundle including TLOU, arkham knight, and destiny for $500. gotta say, really impressed with the console so far. i like the new dashboard, i love how many apps it includes and i love how it physically looks. minor gripes are the dash doesn't seem to remove the games if they aren't in the tray so i imagine they're going to pile up and the console is a bit louder than i'd like when it's in rest mode. that's all, though.
  2. like why didn't you just delete the post then - me
  3. more than you would think, considering the game is 11 years old and new games are still being made
  4. runescape. gotta be honest, it's all i really play anymore.
  5. i've probably got like 600-700 hours between all of bungie's halo games over the years they've been out. they are overrated
  6. xbox fans have always oversold how good halo actually is. if you step back and look at the series through unbiased eyes it's just a good game in a genre typically filled with bad games or games that are identical to each other.
  7. i don't like that the conversations in fallout 4 look like mass effect. i also don't like the idea of a voiced protag since the protag in the demo seemed to have a really obnoxious action hero personality that i'm afraid is going to be forced down my throat and ultimately kill my roleplay experience. also, the protag's backstory is stupid. it was bad enough that fo3's protag was a family man and that was the driving force in the plot, this time i'm a proud papa whether i want to be or not. i'm also not a fan of the voice actor and since fallout has as much dialogue as it does, i doubt there are going to be very many options as far as protag voices are concerned.
  8. i like that they were the first things in their respective lists lel what game is? (fallout new vegas)
  9. good to see the last guardian, but i think they could've chosen a more exciting gameplay segment to debut. god of war 3 had the best e3 debut back in the day, an action packed adrenaline riddled segment right from the middle of the game. i know last guardian will be good but they could've sold it better. the guerilla game i was really excited to see announced, since i was reading rumours about that and that the lead developer of new vegas was working with guerilla to make an RPG, but i don't know how i feel about it after seeing that trailer. gameplay looked really solid but the concept was silly and it looks like it's not an RPG at all, so i don't know if i'm really interested about it right now. final fantasy 7 remake i'm annoyed about, because remakes are the most shameless of money grubbing but i always buy them anyway. if ff7 is as good as everyone says it is i'll buy it too. the new call of duty looked like call of duty. also the guy that presented it was a weird mix of reggie and guy fieri, but he was still probably the best speaker they had during the whole conference. no man's sky looks like it could be a smash hit or it could be a dud. i'm holding out judgement. uncharted 4 actually looked really cool. that vehicle segment looked like something straight out of halo and halo's vehicles were super fun and i'm definitely more interested in uc4 than i was before. the shooting still looks sort of generic, though. i don't remember anything about battlefront because they presented that stupid looking disney miniclip whatever before it. all in all, sony showed a ton of stuff. why was it so boring? they need better speakers, i think. some bonafide salesmen. now that it's basically over, though, i gotta say e3 this year didn't do anything for me. even fallout 4 was a little disappointing. what's happening to me? am i growing up? :/
  10. nah, you were right. sorry for being snappy.
  11. we knew ryu was in the data months ago, dude. Well, the actual character wasn't; just the sound files, IIRC. The character I think was just added in yesterday's update. yeah, you're right. you're being anal because his sound files being in the game leads to the logical conclusion that he will be in the game and lo and behold that conclusion proved true so i'm not really sure what the point of your objection was at all but yeah, you're right. doom 4 looked okay. looks well made but sort of generic. might pick it up after awhile. fallout 4: presentation looked amazing. i can tell people will be really impressed with this game in spite of substance. forge mode looks stupid and i hate that i'm going to have to learn how to do that because it's not something i'm interested in. they did mention it was optional, but they also mentioned some substantial rewards come from it so that means to a completionist like me it won't be so optional. the customization was the highlight. fifty weapons you can rearrange in appx 700 different ways PLUS customizable armour and most importantly, armour that applies to each different area of your body. the first attempt at stopping the simplification i've ever seen. customizable armour also looks really cool since i really dig aesthetics in video games. only thing i'm worried about is they prioritized these actiony features and that that will leave the setting and RPG side of the RPG to the wayside a bit, like fo3 and skyrim did, and it'll just end up being really shallow again. that'll make it a fun game i can sink a lot of time into like fo3 and skyrim, but it probably won't be the same experience that as new vegas and that makes me a little sad.
  12. we knew ryu was in the data months ago, dude.
  13. the only other thing i'd be half interested in hearing about is some info on the last guardian finally. but it's approaching half life 3 in terms of hype which means it'll ultimately disappoint no matter what happens
  14. FALLOUT 4 A L L O U T 4 outside of that, i'm interested in FALLOUT 4
  15. mwuahaha you've fallen for my master ruse, i am the best troll this site has ever seen
  16. nintendos been rereleasing the same games for years whats the surprise
  17. i exclusively play new vegas on hardcore it's basically fallout 3 without it. use VATS to kill cazadors. but again, deathclaws are only dangerous because they just overwhelm you. i really like resistance but i think halo was better. i see the comparison you're making though
  18. deathclaws are easy to kill in fallout 3. different story in new vegas, but even then it's just compound as many healing items as you can. cazadors are also easy to kill, once you cripple a wing they move slower than you. i didn't play half life. in fallout 1 and 2 since its turn based it's also a totally different beast than dark souls which is why i don't think they're fair comparisons since dark souls makes you think on your feet and it's more reaction based. i also don't remember any reason why resistance would included in this conversation but maybe you could remind me. i'm just trying to figure out your point of view. like, say something compelling
  19. thats what im saying you dont have any evidence LOL
  20. i've played about half the games on that list and i don't think any of them really fit your description. stop trying so hard to win the conversation. if you don't like dark souls that's fine, but don't start making up stuff. i destroyed blighttown. didn't die once. maybe it was because i played on ps3. ornstein and smough, however? i was stuck on that for like ten years.
  21. [citation needed] it was just something different. it's not even difficult once you learn to properly abuse rolling and how to position yourself. why does combat need to be mindless button mashing? Exactly... It's more mindless than any other game I've ever played, save for the LEGO games and Mario. I don't find "roll combat" interesting. Also, yes, the game was designed to be difficult. Everyone and their mother praises it as well as most any other Souls game for it's "marked difficulty." If it's not designed to be hard, why does EVERY SINGLE SOULS GAME GET PRAISE FOR BEING HARD? i was thinking along the lines of games like skyrim where you just charge into every scenario the same way. in dark souls you have to consider layout and what enemies you're actually fighting. lego games are the same way as skyrim but frankly they have no place in this conversation. mario isn't even an action game so again i don't know where it's coming from.
  22. use different builds if it's getting stale. such a versatile game.
  23. nice strawman. the game just wants you to apply some strategy in your fights and rolling is a bigger part of that than people realize at first.
