Where to buy bionicle pieces in bulk?
Kopekemaster replied to Hellyam's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Bricklink is probably your best bet, eBay is also good in some circumstances.- 7 replies

How do you pronounce these BIONICLE names?
Kopekemaster replied to jed1ndy's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Loo-wah, Oh-noo-wuh, Dzah-luh. (Assuming the "Dz" is like the "J" sound in "Jug".) I don't take the "canonical" pronunciations too seriously, since I'm pretty sure I've heard Greg say them one way and say they should be said another. Also think I heard that the creative team pronounced names differently as well at some point. -
The number of themes without ANY story is low (though Lego's most successful theme, City, would mostly qualify, with hardly any named characters in sets, as would Speed Champions and last year's Pirates theme). That said, plenty of other themes have non-essential stories. Friends has story episodes and webisodes but they are closer to slice-of-life stories with no huge overarching continuity. And Mixels has a zany cartoon story that is driven mostly by creating goofy characters and coming up with ways for them to interact. Of course, I reckon we will probably never see another action figure theme with as minimalistic a story as Slizers/Throwbots. That's because action figures, more than many other types of toys, are largely sold on the strength of their characters, and while the Slizers/Throwbots characters had different and diverse designs, they lacked any sort of codified personalities (heck, even their names and the worldbuilding were wildly inconsistent between different regions). That's not to say Slizers COULDN'T come back, but if it were to happen it would necessitate a story that was at the very least consistent even if it lacked any overarching plot or continuity. That's why I said new themes. City has been around pretty much forever in one form or another, and LEGO has had many Pirates themes throughout their years, even though it hasn't been continual. (Funny, I hadn't actually heard of Speed Champions before now. Odd.) Anyway, yeah, I'd be fairly surprised if they brought back Slizers, I just think it would be awesome if they did.

I'd love a Slizers reboot. I dunno, the color schemes and the very unique set styles they had... it was fun. Of course, LEGO seems to want to include a story in basically every new theme, so idk if they'd do something as story-minimalistic as Slizers,

I am going to do the world a favor, and simply ask: why is that your avatar? It's my favorite silent film, liked the style of it a lot, and thought that one image from it would make a good avatar. (My signature picture is from the same film.)

Mine is a image from Un Chien Andalou of Simone Mareuil about to have her eye sliced open. I'd have used that image, but, well, I kinda doubt that'd jive with the rules.

What si your favourite year of bionicle?
Kopekemaster replied to LimeFlavouredLibertarian24's topic in Bionicle Discussion
2001/2002 (since they flow into each other pretty smoothly) or 2006. I liked the more "natural"-feeling settings in general I guess (jungles, mountains, etc.). -
What do Voya Nui and Mahri Nui represent?
Kopekemaster replied to Toa of Gallifrey's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
This is probably the most official scaled map we have of it. Looking at that, if Karda Nui is the heart, then it seems like Voya/Mahri Nui could very well be the sternum as Pohaturon said. -
I think Makuta in G2 is somewhere between the Judeo-Christian Satan and Sauron. It was partially jealousy (Satan), but also partially wanting to gain more power singly than had ever been considered before (Sauron).

Don't get me wrong; I think this could be really cool if it worked out. I dunno if any of you are into Metroid, but a small group just released AM2R which is an incredibly professional remake of Metroid II. They showed that they could pretty much handle Metroid better than Nintendo themselves could right now. But that was because they had a great (creative) leader. As others here have said, if too many people get in on this it'll probably get muddled, chaotic, and inefficient. So it'll need good leadership and good self-control and discipline for all members. So we'll see. If it works out, great. I'd love to see some of the stuff that would be made. But I think it would be pretty difficult for it to work out.

Beautiful. I'd buy this if it were a set. -
Didn't we have like, exactly the same topic around when G1 ended? I think BZP will last. It might lose some amount of users, but it will last.

I'd... actually almost agree with you, although it may just be I have fond memories of the time when I read PS. I think I may have enjoyed HS more just because of how absurd it got but PS was more enjoyable in a... Hitchhiker's Guide sort of way. Humorous, but with a surprisingly complex plot.

I can't remember if BZP actually inspired me to read Homestuck or not, but I do know for sure that I discovered BZPStuck before I discovered Homestuck.

Oh geez, I forgot to update it here. I finished So Long and Thanks for All the Fish and the short story Zaphod Plays it Safe. I've started Mostly Harmless. This series seriously just gets better and better the more of it I read. SLaTfAtF was a rather unusual book in the series, I must say, for reasons I'm sure anyone who has read it will know. I definitely enjoyed it, though, I thought Arthur's and Fenchurch's little love story was nice.

do you like or hate hero factory?
Kopekemaster replied to squidmaster's topic in Hero Factory Discussion
I didn't like it, I didn't hate it. I suppose you could say I "hated" it in the sense of it essentially replaced Bionicle and, at least in my eyes, didn't compare in the least, but I don't think that really counts as hating HF itself. I just didn't really care. It didn't affect me in any way, aside from introducing some new pieces, which were cool. -
Oh sick, thanks. As soon as I saw Makuta in the new episodes, I knew I had to build him.
-
lol already? I guess I expected a little longer before conspiracy theories started popping up. I'd be glad if it did make a return, sometime, but I think part of the reason G2 was cancelled was just that... it's not the right time for a new Bionicle.

Wait, the tracker? That's still a thing? (my way of saying I basically never check it) It might be nice if the tracker was placed in a more... obvious/noticeable place. It probably doesn't get the attention it deserves.

aw dip, a new comic Can't wait until my super-slow internet finally loads it.
