Shinen Ryu

Pic of the newer version are up, I appreciate the constructive criticism @Sumiki I altered the head to try and make the spikes stick out less, also the black angled piece in the middle acts like a sort of visor, that's why there aren't any visible eyes.The body was what took the longest to perfect, and unfortunately I'm not willing to mess with that part. I've always had an arm problem, that and the upper legs have always been a source of frustration for me.The lower legs though I understand, the original design had the armor further out and higher up, with a metru shin armor below it so there was no visible gap in the leg, but I personally like this way because it's a much more solid form vs the original where it wiggled around too much. I made up for it in v2 by making the upper leg armor extend below and cover the gap in the L pieces.@Ranubis I will try and fix the pin problem as best I can, but I'm low on black + rods and I don't have any black O+ type rods either so It's gonna be tough.

It's really well done, I like the masks/heads being used as armor. Only flaws I can see is that on the white side there's a pin sticking out on the lower leg, on what I believe is a piraka skull, and That it really doesn't seem to have a head. Otherwise this is cool, and a better executed split-side concept than that atrocity Split-face.

Updated with two more pictures, it's not nearly as impressive from straight on, which is why I almost always keep him posed.

It's been almost 2 years since I've been on this site, since Bionicle ended I have really lost interest in MoCing and LEGO in general. But, my friend came over this last weekend and out of nowhere pulled out the bins filled with parts that haven't been touched in at least a year and a half. He revived my love of building instantly, and reminded me of my project. I had always set out to create my perfect MoC, but never managed to make it, there was always something wrong with it, or I ended up using someone else's design. I wanted to create something all my own, something I would never take apart once I had made it. Now, after years of trial and error, frustration, and a lot of digging through bins, I have done it. Shin'en Ryu Without Sword Front Back V2 Back This is more than likely the last MoC I will ever make, if you have any suggestions for tweaks to make it better please share them. I will also provide instructions for any part if you wish to use any of the designs. EDIT: Added pictures of improvements made, will try and get rid of as many red + rods as possible as well.
