  1. Hi all, I know I have not been here in a while, but I wanted to say that if we want to do another game night, I just ordered an HD PVR 2, and wouldn't mind recording it. Amazon says it should be here on Dec. 27th, but I am not sure. Either way a game night still sounds fun if anyone wants to do it sometime.

  2. It can be filled with game night invites, but to answer you question I looked it up and it does not appear to discount you if you happen to save and quit. Though I am not 100% sure as I have not attempted this myself and it is hear-say. Hope it helps, and is true.

  3. I have not tried that.

On an off note, as an American, I kind of wish that we would get more British roadsters or hot-hatchbacks. Now I know that some British roadsters are here but they are all for people who have a lot of money one them (as much as I would love a Jaguar F-Type, I don't have the roughly 80 Grand or so).

  4. I typically keep most cars of mine stock, with the exception of a R32 (at least I think it was an R32) GTR which I upgraded because I did not meet the requirements for a race I needed and upgrading was cheaper. Currently I am saving up for a Shelby 1000.

  5. Lamborghini seems to have an aircraft theme going on, the Reventon is based on an F22, but the Egoista is based on an Apache helicopter. Anyway, for minor things I got to see an SLS AMG on the road earlier today, very nice.

On the other side of things, is it just me or are Americans the only ones who are willing to tune their cars? It is almost a culture here (scratch that, it is), but I don't hear too much about European petrol heads modifying their cars. Granted I don't live in Europe and my perspective on how Europe sees them mostly comes from Top Gear.

  6. I have not (I don't live in Australia), but I do like some of the Aussie V8s that made it to America, such as the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO (which was actually a rebadged Holden Manaro). I do hear that in Australia the rivalry with Ford and GM in Australia is rather...heated to understate it (or at least what I hear of it).

Oh and for a fun fact, Ferrari's business decisions actually caused the creations of both the Ford GT40 and Lamborghini.

For the Ford GT40, Henry Ford planned on buying Ferrari, but Enzo Ferrari backed out at last minute, an angered Henry Ford told his engineers to make a car that would beat Ferrari at Le Mans. The result was the GT40 MkII and from 1966 to 1969 it proceeded to beat Ferrari...4 times.

As for Lamborghini, he was originally a tractor builder who bought a Ferrari and complained that the clutch was bad in an otherwise great car. Ferrari essentially told him to go screw himself, and as you would expect it angered Lamborghini...and inspired him to build the first Lamborghini sports car, from then on the rest is history.

  7. My favorite car? I have a lot but my favorite is probably the Shelby GT500, especially the new one. In general I love american muscle cars the best, they may be cheap but they are all about being apologetically loud, fast, and fun, and I absolutely love that.
