  1. Thanks for all the feedback, guys!

The one thing I'd add would be trans-neon orange bone pieces in the shoulders, to distribute the fiery-ness further.

I would if I had them in that color. Good idea though, I'll think about it if I ever get a hold of those bones.

what's the deal with that Toa of Water in one of the shots?

    *Toa of Light

Protagonist of my planned story alongside Gellan, the antagonist, or at least one of them.

That mask is -awesome-. I gotta ask, where does it come from?

Polybag from February/March of last year. Came free with any purchase from a LEGO store or Shop at Home.

  2. I would love to see a comeback of Exo-Force. Maybe in addition to having some traditional Exo-Force-styled designs, we could also have some designs similar to those found in Gundam? Heck, maybe some Gurren Lagann-esque designs if they wanted to go for a Super Robot style instead of a Real Robot style.

  3. MNOG, Backlot, Supersonic RC, Junkbot, Rhotuka Spinner Challenge, and the Johnny Thunder games were some of my favorites. I always loved going to see Takua in the coffee shop in Backlot.

  4. I actually really like the change from dark blue to dark green; it makes him more accurate to his movie appearance.

The one problem I have is the little things (toes, I guess?) on the sides of his feet. Going off of the movie, they should be white, and there should only be one per foot. However, that doesn't detract much from the appearance of the MOC; I've always had a fondness for MOCs that attempt to recreate the movie appearances of characters.

  5.

The G1 parts on Mungus really kill him for me, to be honest. The detailed robotic parts with pistons just don't look good on what is meant to be an organic animal.

I can see your point, though I tried to make it feel like under the fur he has bones sticking out or just the fur  itself is stuck in patches, exposing the holes in him and such.

That still doesn't explain why there are very clearly visible pistons. :/

  6. Wow, what a cool build. I mean really, really nice. Although my only nitpick is that the innards of the machine and the cables are grey and not black as seen in the portal series.

But the model itself is spectacular. Two thumbs way up.

You're right, it should be black. Ah well. :P

  7.

Thisparticular MOC Definitly needs a bit of bulk added. If you havesome CCBS pieces and black shels, it would go a long way to making this MOC not look so gangly. Additionally, I think the proportions could use a bit of work. The forearms are incredibly long, and could be shortened up with some t bars taking the place of the system element hands.

I really like the cape, and with it on, the moc looks very cool.

I don't have any black CCBS and I don't know what a T bar is.

    Thanks.

    This is a T bar: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4697b

  8. My main question is this: Where on earth did you get that shiny gold Akaku? Is it a repaint? Or one of those chrome fan-made ones?

I actually made that a while back. I wasn't satisfied by the gold color of the official six gold masks, they looked too dark. So, we went to the store, got some shiny gold spray paint, I got out six spare masks, and we painted them.

    Here's a picture of all six: https://www.flickr.com/photos/therollins/14129944601/in/set-72157641729230474

The Kaukau is a little scratched up on the visor, so I hope to buy another Kaukau so I can paint it and maybe make it so that the visor remains unpainted and transparent. You know, so Gali can actually see out the mask. :P

  9. Thanks guys! Recently I have extended his legs and slightly thickened his mid-section, and he does look better.

Does the gear function actually work?

Unfortunately not, the gears were only there for looks. I tried to focus more on posability rather than playability.

  10. Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Very cool, good work! I don't know that I agree the body is too long but rather the legs are too short.

Bingo. After checking again, the torso is actually fine, it's the legs that's the problem.

maybe mounting them one or two studs higher so they're on the side of the hips as opposed to the bottom corners

Eh, not so sure about that. I tried to give him more proper proportions, while also keeping his set asthetic, so I don't know if I would want to change the waist. Thanks for the idea, though.

it might look better if you broadened the shoulders and made the chest/belly a little thicker

Yup. The torso is a little thin looking back on it. I'll see what I can do.

His torso alone is longer than his legs and feet combined.

While his legs are too short, they're not shorter than the torso. They are, however, shorter than the torso and head combined, which I need to fix.
