  1. IC: Threiaa - Enroute to Unpleasantness "Aww karz," She muttered. She was too close, and going too fast, to turn away from the maw. She could activate her teleportation disk in time to get to safety, but there was no way she would abandon Pakari's Maiden. In her hand she felt the Impact Crystal Launcher. In a moment of instinct and adrenaline, her hand shot up and fired off three crystals into the beast's mouth. If the crystal's grew fast enough, she could save her ship. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside "Whatever I can get," I growled at him, "You know'n where their ship's at?" IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara "Alright then," I spoke, looking at her handiwork. Whatever money I had on hand, I pulled out. It wasn't too much, thanks to low sales today, but it was just a cart. "This is all I've got on hand," I said, "Got more at the ship though. Materials for barterin' too, if that's your preference."
  2. IC: Threiaa - Pakari's Maiden "Somthuh yuh pay fuh," Threiaa mocked Ailun to herself, "See how much pay you get after this." Pakari's Maiden turned 'round, circling until Threiaa could stare at the beast dead on. "Greasy tight-wad," She muttered, as she threw her ship's booster into full gear, ramming straight at the center of the monster's face.
  3. Alright, you do make some fair points. This is a rough draft, after all. As far as fightbot goes, I'm not sure what you mean? And how can I fix this? The bullet spit wasn't meant to be lethal, just more... long range, and with a bit more force. I say bullets just as an example, but I can see how that comes across as sounding like actual, flesh/armor puncturing projectiles. That wasn't my intention, sorry. The grenades were, I'll admit, pretty last minute additions. I can easily take that out. As far as the backstory goes, I can elaborate and add in more. It was pretty sparse.
  4. Name: Cou & Tuup Species: Zesk Gender: Male & Female, respectively Powers: Enhanced Sight and Smell(no more beyond the common zesk), Implants that greatly increase the distance of their spit, and improve the impact slightly as well(like being hit with a small rock) Gear: They both have light armoring underneath their showrunning clothes, well suited to ventilate air while underneath otherwise suffocating clothing. Each Zesk has a personal weapon: The Elongating Apparatus: Cou possesses a metallic cane, painted black. The cane is capable of extending to at least one glatorian length, even to two in a pinch, though that has been seen to strain its stability. It’s extension is keyed to one of the many circlets around his wrist. Only he and Tuup know which one. Four concealed throwing knives, two in each sleeve. The Duplicitive Sunshade: Tuup bears an energy crossbow disguised as a parasol. While dormant the fan covers the bulk of the mechanisms, but when activated it splits to form a basis for the form of the bow. It can, of course, function as an average parasol. Allegiance/Role: None; Wandering Merchants Appearance: Both Zesk are done up in outrageously outlandish and bizarre clothes that they refer to as: “Pants”. They wear adorned and decorative robes upon their chests, but the trim has been shortened and tucked into these odd clothes. Suspenders also strap their pants up. They are slightly taller than the average Zesk. Personality: While in the midst of selling wares and attracting customers, the duo seem to act in perfect unison, mimicking one another’s isms and demeanors, mostly consisting of overly cheery and pushy. They are especially shrewd business-zesk. While alone, the two become much more subdued in their actions, but even more so entwined. Years of living together has brought them incomparably close to each other, being honest and earnest while in only the other’s presence. Mostly. Tuup is something of a prankster, though she is susceptible to her ticklish nature. She is fond of the stars and sky, and enjoys taking the In a Dream, sans camper, for a spin. Cou adores making his closest friends(mostly just Tuup) laugh, and learning the history of the Matoran Universe. Neither one has much penchant for violence, not after having lived through the core wars and living by their wits for so long, but in difficult situations they will resort to it. While they are very close, and effective sales men, they are not skilled at cooperating in combat. Bio: Cou and Tuup have been confidants and allies since the beginning of the Core War, growing up amongst destruction and violence. Naturally, the two came to know the follies and pains of war as intimately as they came to know each other. Which is to say, very intimately. They learned what the could in the ways of battle, Cou favoring melee combat and Tuup favoring Weaponry. Neither are experts, but with their individual weapons they are adept enough to defend themselves against thugs and thieves.. With the splitting of the planet, both Zesk were lucky enough to find themselves on the lush landscape of Bota Magna, where they were slowly able to build lives for themselves as traders. Growing into adults in this landscape, they quickly realized they had a talent for the slight of hand and tongue, and began to work as con men, or con zesk. Through this means they were able to garner a workable income, and obtain a few interesting curios. Among these curios were the Elongating Apparatus and Duplicitive Sunshade, old but reliable pieces of technology. They even raised a few of their own children, all of which at this point have flown the coop. Upon reformation of the planet, Cou and Tuup quickly vacated the jungles in search of new “customers”. Using whatever money they had, they purchased an Axalara, and began to sell curios from it’s chassis. Exploring the wreckage surrounding the GSR, they were able to find a mostly intact Vahki Transport, containing a number of inert archives pieces. Fixing the transport as best they could, they converted it into a makeshift “air camper”, able to follow along behind In a Dream without too much difficulty, though they have to be careful not to stress the connection too much. Now, they wander from settlement to settlement, vending their wares and suckering any poor soul into spending exorbitant amounts on trinkets that have no value. Name: In A Dream Model: Axalara Camper Class Weaponry: Bota Magnan Lizard Head A head reclaimed from a Bota Magnan lizard, found dead in the now wasteland of Bota Magna, capable of firing an explosive energy blast from one eye. The head, though removed from the original body, has, in its connection to the ship’s energy conduits, somehow been brought back online. This does not make it easy to aim. However, the firing mechanism has been blocked and rerouted to the console of In a Dream, preventing the lizard from exacting justice upon its captor. When not in use, Cou and Tuup put an eyepatch over the mechanical eye so as not to unnerve his customers. He affectionately refers to it as “Leopold”. Customization: In a Dream’s basic chassis has been so fundamentally modified from the original, T-9 Battle class, that it is more appropriately referred to as a “Camper Class” vehicle. The rear of the vehicle has a durable mount for the modified vahki transport with levitation disks implemented into the design. Said transport significantly slows down the ship, but still renders it much faster than an airship. If In a Dream is in the air, the legs will continue to skitter and crawl in the open air, as the pilots have no idea how to turn them off. The transport contains all of their wares and goods, as well as a few assorted “attractions”. Said attractions include the alleged “Veil of Tren Krom”, said to have the eldtrichian face imprinted onto the cloth, “Dume’s Corpse”, the supposed body of the legendary leader of Metru Nui(who is probably not actually dead), and a container holding an actual krana. Duplicate merchandise and souvenirs of all these are sold in here, including Leopold bobbleheads(he’s something of a mascot). In lieu of side mounted weapons, the side compartments are now more suited for showing merchandise and displaying curios. Once open, a curtain-draped frame extends from the hole and splays out across the area immediately above the ship, turning it into a canopied vendor. Appearance: In a Dream is painted in vibrant pinks and blues, meant to contrast the surrounding desert landscape and pop out. The camper is also painted to look like it has a pair of insect wings across the bulk of the upper hull. Trinkets dangle from the sides and arms.
  5. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone - Cliffside "Merchants," I scoffed, "What kinda wares-totin', geared-up, silver-crested folks like that are merchants? They gots a dollar to spare for the likes 'a us, I know'd it." IC: Bai Bai - Babylon My arms were clutched around a book, my breathing erratic, as I laid on the ground by the helm. Hopefully this would all be over soon. IC: Maxilos 042 - Dragging in the dust like a piece of trash I continued to announce the warnings of the situation at hand, all while dragging through the dirt as I made my best efforts to remove myself from said situation. It was more than possible that the sight of a legless guard dragging in the dirt by a cord might lessen the urgency of onlookers. Humor has a peculiar way of affecting organics.
  6. IC: Threiaa - The Moa --> Pakari's Maiden Threiaa grumbled under her breath. So far, Ailun had proved much less useful in a fight and Threiaa would have hoped. Not that she had really thought about that before, but regardless. "Fine then. Why don't I use something other than your precious hunk of metallic garbage?" She muttered. Getting to her feet, Threiaa looked out the hole in the hull. Screams still echoed up from below. From the broken wall, especially, she could hear them. Suddenly this became much more real. She picked up an ICL, and marched, once more, to the cargo bay. This would be the last bout of walking she did for a while, she thought. The doors opened once again as Threiaa threw the levers down, letting wind and dust fly through the opening. She mounted Pakari's Maiden, and with hardly a warmup the vehicle skittered along the bay floor and out into the sky.
  7. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside 'Mute then. Interesting.' "What d'y'all know then? Why're they pokin' around the likes 'a Capstone?"
  8. IC: Clos'utu - Interrogatin' some We were far enough into the crowd, away from the group now. I twisted the matoran to face me. "How long y'been followin' them folk?" I whispered harshly.
  9. IC: Threiaa - The Moa Threiaa was knocked akilter with the ship's tilt, throwing her free of the mounted thornaxx launcher and onto the ground. "What the greasy karz was that???" She shouted, more than a little upset. IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara I grunted in response to the mechanic, not particularly pleased with her way with words. "Yeah, we're good I think," I called to Mirror, a little warmer in tone, "Take care," IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside I pulled significantly harder, sliding my foot to push the back of his and pull him away from the group.
  10. IC: Slif - Hallways I took her teeny hand in mine. It felt like I was holding a baby gukko, it was so soft. "I'm Slif," I smiled back, "I been here for about a day now." IC: Fate - Hallways --> Dorm Exercise would have to wait for the meantime. A few final calibrations had to be made to my suit, and there was still the question of the heat-sink device obtained from the corpse. That needed to find a use in my arsenal. I snuck past the rahks in the hall, including Kororia, and quietly entered my dorm. The work must be uninterrupted.
  11. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside I smiled nonchalantly. If that's how they wanted things to go, then fine. "Alright, have it your way." I calmly turned and walked away, tugging at the matoran in my grasp. IC: Threiaa - The Moa Ailun was ever-so-cooperative and lined up The Moa with the beast, giving Threiaa a clear view of it. She looked down at her measly thornaxx. This might not do that much at all. With a sigh, her eyes shut tightly, blinking back open with her thermal vision in full effect. It didn't help that this thing had decided to attack at night, but Threiaa could make do with the heat centers on it's body. Of which... there did not appear to be many. So much of it was just dead corpses, barely radiating any heat from the insides. Around what was the face, though, a cluster of bright spots shone, moving to follow the circling ships. "'Eye' see you," She muttered, and pressed down on the thornaxx trigger, sending the fruit flying through the air. Without missing a beat she stuffed another in the slot and sent it down, followed by another. All three were aimed for the beast's eyes. IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara "It's just around the corner," I responded, "Only takes a few minutes to walk there."
  12. IC: Slif - Hallways "That'd be a no and a no. I got it from the armory in the school." I threw a thumb aimed at the path behind me.
  13. IC: Threiaa - The Moa "Just gonna use 'em for what they're worth!" She said, readjusting her hold on the weapons. Only standing still for a second, she bolted out of the bridge again. Her trajectory went for the nearest gap in the hull of the ship. "Alroight, I'll get some use outta this," Mounting the thornaxx launcher into the slot, Threiaa kept her eye on the beast outside. This wouldn't do much, but It would do something. Best to aim for the eyes... IC: 042 - Avoiding getting crushed Directing the last of the populace out of the projects nearest the walls, 042 turned at the creaking moan of the wall. The beast was making another push for the city, and this time, the wall would not hold. "Karz." 042 muttered, hobbling away from the wall as quickly as possile. The wall slammed into the ground, the force of the impact knocking the machine to the ground. With a moment of horror, 042 realized that it's remaining leg had shattered from the sudden force. The makeshift, too, had fallen apart. It lay on the ground, stewing over the fact that, out of all the Maxilos to be put in this position, it had to be the one. With a robotic sigh, the guard rose it's good arm into the air, aiming the grappling hook at a window sill nearby. 'How undignifying,' It thought, skidding across the ground along the grappling hook's cord. IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace "Yeah, I'll pay ya." I answered Tolo's first question. At Mirror's comment, a thought came about, "I got a ship too," I said as she worked, "Didn't take any damage, but haven't flown her in years. Decades, even. Y'can come by and look at that sometime." IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside "Yeh," I butted in over the fe-matoran's "no". "Services. If'n you'r'n need a some local talents. I know Capstone like it was kin."
  14. IC: Slif - Hallways "Eh, not really." I gave it a spin in my hand.
  15. IC: Threiaa - The Moa The scrap ship had more than a few goodies on it. Thornaxx launchers, Impact crystal launchers, some kind of laser device? The ICLs came off easily enough, but the laser was pretty well integrated to the ship. She'd have to come back for it another time. -------- "Back!" Threiaa announced, somewhat breathless from all the running back and forth. Two ICLs were loaded in her arms, along with one of the thornaxx launchers Ailun had mentioned. "Y'got a window I can open?" IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara "You can take a look at this thing, if you want," I said, tapping the cart with my foot. "Got pretty banged up in that fight." IC: 042 - Ground Zero, New Atero Was that the airship from before, up in the sky? Had they seriously come to the city anyway? 042's expression tightened slightly more than usual, as he continued directing civilians. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside "Business don't usually look like fightin'. Usually." I pulled Parii a little closer in to me. "You weren't givin' them any kinds a trouble now, were ya?" I looked right at his face, expression neutral.
  16. IC: Fate - Hallways "Xara. My name is Fate. For whatever worth you take it, good luck." I finished. Not bothering with any further pleasantries, I turned, and continued onward. I was actually feeling quite restless now. My body was informing me of the need for exercise, or physical activity. Perhaps a visit to the gym for some brief routines... IC: Slif - Dorms/Hallways Dang, she's a speedy little bug. "Honestly, I don't have any idea," I grinned, "Just barely picked it up today."
  17. IC: Fate - Hallways "Of course. I only wished to point merit to your intriguing suit, though my subject matter clearly strayed. Goodbye... ah, stranger, I suppose."
  18. IC: Fate - Hallways "Indeed... I can't know what you have experienced, or what I have yet to experience." I nodded, relaxing the tension in my hands some, "But you are right, in that regard."
  19. IC: Threiaa - The Moa "Yeah... it's pretty well stocked for weapons. I'm gonna run down and grab a few." She bolted for the halls again, this time hardly getting lost on her way to the Cargo hold. Immediately, she went for the weapons mounted on the ship. IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara I huffed. What a show for nothing. I turned around and went back to my cart, putting my shield back on my back.
  20. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside "Is that right? You wouldn't be rearin' to get into a fight, now wouldja?" I tightened my grip on the matoran's shoulder. IC: Threiaa - The Moa "Whatta we got by means of firepower?" She called back to Ailun, staring at the beast as its head reared back.
  21. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside My hand slipped out of my cloak, clasping down on the more nervous of the two matoran. "Is there a problem here, young'un?" My words came out something like a groan from an old pipe, but with enough force to still be persuasive. The words were directed at the Fe-Matoran, but still hinted at the Onu-Matoran being the "problem". IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara Alright, so this is happening. I sighed. A long, drawn out moan of a sigh, pulling my shield off my back. "Alright," I say, glancing at Mirror, "If this turns into a fight, I'll help you out. Think of it like a payment for earlier."
  22. IC: Fate - Hallways "You mean a school full of an entirely new sentient strain of a traditionally barbaric and volatile species made from the essence of shadow and despair?" I asked, more than rhetorically. "Students infighting and murdering one another, often outside of the public eye? That's no surprise to me, if that's what you are implying." IC: Slif - Hallways/Dorms What now? I stood up straight. That had caught me off guard, too busy stewing in my brain again. "What about the what?" I called back.
  23. iC: Fate - Hallways "As you were, I'm sure."
  24. IC: Fate - Hallways This student was insufferable. "I should hope so." I say. "That is why I chose to come here. Although it hardly seems amiable as a place of learning." I could go on about the question of destiny, but continuing would clearly be pointless in this situation.
  25. IC: 042 - Ground Zero, New Atero The guard disengaged with formalities the moment Armani lifted off the ground, hastily moving into action. Before even a moment's passing, 042 saw a grotesque, crimson skakdi, fleeing into a building. "Stop!" It shouted with an echoing voice. That only seemed to frighten the skakdi more, and into the building it went. The creature outside the walls clambered up the fortifications, raining debris down. The building was crushed in an instant, splintering wood flying across the street like shrapnel. 'I do hope that citizen was not important,' 042 thought. Hopping along as quickly as possible, the guard sought passage into the midst of the homes, seeing terrified people clambering from their doorways. This would be easier with a kane-ra-phone. "Citizens!!" The machine shouted as loudly as it could, "Evacuate the premises immediately!" It walked steadily, forward, holding an illuminated flaming hand into the air and gesturing towards the city's opposite walls. "Do not carry with you anything but the essentials! Obtain your vehicle from the parking district, and move to the other side of the city! Await further instruction there!" IC: Bai Bai - Babylon It was trying to climb over the walls. Nope nope nope nop no pe n o p e- IC: Tveke - Central Marketplace, Tesara I watched this glatorian, confused. What the karz was she going on about? "What the karz are you going on about?" I voiced my thoughts bluntly. IC: Threiaa - The Moa "Good man," She said, slapping his back with a grin. "For karz sake don't bring her in too close though. I'm not that hungry for action." Threiaa darted to the windows, waiting to see the beast come back into sight. IC: Clos'utu - Capstone, Cliffside Conflict. Here was a good opportunity. I slipped down to the streets, taking advantage of the alleyways to reach the ground in undetected silence. Not that anyone would notice me in a crowd such as this. The group was out of my line of sight, but I knew where they were. Pulling back at my cloak to expose my legs, I walked steadily into the crowd.
