It's easy to forget how story-light Bionicle was in 2001. I'm willing to give Lego the benefit of the doubt with the story since they're starting from scratch. Hopefully the lore will trickle down eventually.

I won't believe FExSMT is still in development until I see a trailer, at this point. They've shown literally nothing of it. Also, Metroid Prime Trilogy is $10 until next Thursday! Three of my favorite games of all time.

I wish for a glass of fresh water- that has not been poisoned, polluted, or otherwise tainted- to be placed on a table in front of me.

CPU architecture is identical, bro. Not sure where you're getting "the Wii U has a Wii in it" from either. I did a quick google search and didn't come up with anything supporting it.

Are we rewriting the story with the premise of selling toys, or just from a narrative standpoint? That would kind of influence how I approach this "What If?"

But this is Nintendo. They still aren't even offering eight of the consoles they offered on Wii VC, and in 18 months time have built up a library inferior to the first 6 months of Wii VC. I dunno what their problem is, since it could literally be a matter of CTRL+C and CTRL+V to get 95% of games working, but they are taking their sweet ### time getting games out on Wii U VC. Not that 3DS is any better right now. But imagine a perfect world in which you have all those consoles from Wii and 3DS VC, as well as Saturn, Dreamcast, and Gamecube VC on the Wii U. And cross-platform with 3DS on all handheld games and 8 and 16 bit consoles! But this is Nintendo. They don't want my money. Nintendo's business strategy with the Wii U VC is that if they hold back content and trickle it down, there'll be more interest in the stuff that does come out. It's... unsound, to say the least, but it does seem to have an effect when games that would be nowhere near the top 20 on any other online store regularly hit the top 5 most sold games on the system. But there are a number of features missing from the Wii U gamepad and pro controller (analog triggers being the most notable, Wave Race and F-Zero GX 100% do not function without them) that do make me honestly believe that Gamecube VC games are a lot more viable now than they were before. Heck, it's 100% possible that they could release a patch for the system that lets you play disk-based GC games-- the hardware's there (the Wii and the Wii U are built on the exact same system architecture as the Gamecube, which actually allows for flawless emulation) and the Wii U can read the disks. The only restriction is the firmware of the console.

Ah, thanks! I thought it seemed a bit odd that I couldn't find any solid sales figures but that seems like smart business practice. To get this back on topic: I'm inclined to believe this latest rumour as much as I believed the rumours in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. As much as I'd love to see Bionicle return, I'll wait for an official release from Lego before I believe it's coming back.

Are there any solid figures on how well Bionicle sold year-through-year? That's something I'd be interested in looking at, but I can't find any credible sources (and I don't really think it's a thing Lego does??)

Mediocre Bionicle is better than no Bionicle at all. Would you rather have boiling water poured on your hands for eight hours, or watch all the Twilight movies in a row?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I love this stupid game.

I can't think of The Force Unleashed without remembering that they cancelled KOTOR 3 to make that awful, buggy mess of a fanfic.

Gonna echo a few people and reiterate that the games we got were really, really bad. I wouldn't have minded another MNOLG or one of the surprisingly good GBA RPGs, but the rest felt like shallow, mindless cash-ins.
