  1. Hey again Boxor! Great to see you get this going, I was just doing up a very similar list in excel. Mine didn't have pictures though . Just wanted to point out Bionicle Master Builder set 10023 (year 2002) has 15 more "alternate models" to add to your list. Instructions should be a breeze to find
  2. I'm gonna say Bricklink is right on this one, they are distinctly different shades. I wonder if TLH knows anything about this, he's a pretty hardcore collector . If you want I can snap comparison photos of the PLG/Flat Silver Rode and Avohkii once I have access to my collection again (in a week or two).
  3. Nice to see so much thought went into these . Your logic on the black and tan kanoka and prototypes is sound. And my mistake, the 2nd Kraahkan looked like gunmetal, but 4 hole vs 6 hole makes more sense. I agree with leaving out the one-of-a-kind protos, and I absolutely agree that the brown komau/ white & metru red hunas/ metro blue matatu seemed to straddle the line. They are definitely not one-of-a-kind, but pretty close to it. @Dorek: Good point! If you look closely at the checklist, both gold variations of the Kraahkan are included One more question: the last Avohkii on the line next to the corrupt/dark avohkii... is that meant to be the 2010 slightly-different shade of the silver avohkii? Because if you consider those to be different masks, there are alternate pearl-light-grey / flat silver versions of a number of different masks. For example, I have 2 Kanohi Rode with exactly the same difference in shade. Splitting hairs...
  4. I agree, a separate checklist for combiners/alt models would be sa-weet! But probably would be a lot of work too... Just wanted to note, you're missing the tan kanoka, plain glow-in-the-dark kanoka and plain black kanoka on the kanoka checklist. And it looks like you have the Gunmetal Gray Kraahkan on there, but I'm just curious: where do you draw the line on rare prototypes/one-of-a-kind masks on your lists? If you have GG Kraahkan, why not the alternate gold colored Avohkii prototype, pink Strakk helmet, marbled blue/white miru etc. etc? Anyway, these are all much more comprehensive and a HUGE improvement on the multitude of mediocre checklists we had back around 2004.
  5. ... Nope, not me . Was watching that Takutanuva, but dang son, like 50 bucks shipping to Canada and I'm out eh
  6. Whew, I'm sweating in here. Someone cranked the "friendly competition" to 11.
  7. @Dorek: Woah, thanks. I totally didn't realize a black hydraxon mask was out there, as I only collect bionicle, not HF. There's also a blue version of the cendox/kaxium glatorian mask found in the HF "Drop Ship" set. @Electric Turahk: Sweet lists!! I personally count all of the glatorian helmets, Hordika masks and Hydraxon and Maxilos faceplates on my scribbled-up mask checklists, as well as the HF recolors of them. They just really seem to be in keeping with the style, if not the canon, of the normal Kanohi. This is really just personal preference though. On the other hand, my canon-OCD alter-ego has me scrounging for parts to make up a Karzahni head to go on my mask display... Mutated yes, but still technically the Kanohi Olisi... Edit: "Additional solid gold mask"???!!! Prithee, do tell
  8. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. Thanks Boxor. Also missing from that brickshelf gallery are the two terrible Korean Piraka combiners. One is essentially Irnakk sans gold spine and gold tubing, the other is unique but pretty ugly. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=93812
  9. Wow, nice find Cheesy!! I thought I knew about every "official" combiner out there, guess I was wrong. I really like the wing design. Almost angelic, but with very tech undertones.... Definitely a product of Japan. This reminds me, does anyone know if there's a good, comprehensive database of official combiner instructions anywhere on the internet? (Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, if it's off-topic I'll drop it)
  10. Thanks for this thread Letagi! Loving it! There is in fact at least one Sand Tarakava confirmed in existence, owned by PurpleDave of "the website that shan't be mentioned". Came with the prototype yellow ruru. Easy enough to google for pics, but I dunno if we're allowed to link to the MoD site here. Not sure if the set has changed hands since though... And I read somewhere that there were originally 5 Sand Tarakavas made, this is probably unconfirmed hearsay though. If we're getting into polybag promos, I would like to know about the "Kraatu" set from 2003/2004(?). Can anyone confirm that this thing actually existed bagged with instructions? Easy enough to part out/build the set, but a new sealed set has been eluding me.
  11. Just got back home from Christmas and opened my package. Everything's there, in great condition, packaged with ample padding. Near complete collection of kraata, wmkk and several kanohi and krana. MC gets a huge thumbs up from me! Pleasure doing business with you.
  12. I do have sets of great and noble kanohi, -2 masks each. Not keen to let them go though. I don't have any of the great kanoka, sorry. I'd just give you cash if it weren't for Christmas shopping + tuition
  13. What sorts of things would you consider trading for? I have a chrome Hau, orange vahi, Toa Iruini (MISB), Gresh Stars (MISB), McDonalds Huki (MISB), and a handful of kraata/krana/kanohi/kanoka...
  14. Umm... $20 USD (SHIPPED) essentially for Ultimate Dume minus 4 or 5 pieces + protodermic kakama nuva? Looks like a good deal to me..... How is that not a good deal? Proto masks alone go for more than that :S
  15. Sure, I can help out if it does come out in January here in Canada
  16. Also, if shipping prices from Canada to US are at all similar to those from US to Canada, you'd be better off shipping from Europe :S
  17. I'm interested in the vmkk Bo, but I promised my wife I wouldn't buy any more Bionicles until the new year If you still have it around January, I might have to pm you or something.
  18. I use bricklink all the time, and their prices can be comparatively very good if you're buying mint-in-sealed-box stuff. For example, Tuma MISB for about $40, where he usually goes for $100 to $150+ MISB on eBay or Amazon. For used stuff tough, I agree with everyone here, you can really find some crazy deals if you spend a bit of time lurking on eBay. I just bought ultimate dume for $15.
  19. Minus the white matatu, hopefully I still have dibs
  20. Hmm k, so krana_enthusiast and myself have definitely both asked for the red Ruru and white matatu and are both willing to pay $15 for each. You probably wouldn't happen to have 2 of either, would you?
  21. Yeah, I had a pile of kanohi and krana I was after, but you mentioned you didn't want to break up your full sets. Of particular interest to me is the Corrupt Hau Nuva #4-01 and misprint Red Ruru and White Matatu. If you were interested in selling any individual kanohi/krana, I could dig up my list again, there are about 40. Also a long shot, but if you ever were to go as low as $100 on a wmkk I would take one of those as well. That doesn't seem likely though
  22. Yeah, I'm still on for the set of kraata for $470. So you'll need cash by December 10th, but you're still under your $4000 quota... How does this work?
