  1. Used to go by the name Sonnax but since I gave her such an overhaul, figured she might as well be given a new name. It's latin for speed without the s at the end. (not the most original I know, but has a nice ring to it).
Went with digitagrade legs to make it more suitable for running and added a tail to the spoilers/airbrakes on her back to add to her ability to manuver herself at high speeds.

how does the brother counter that?

Hmm, I'll be honest I haven't thought of that yet. He has a big war axe for a weapon but obviously that won't do much against a bird with a cannon on its back. Currently I'm contemplating if I should keep his hordika mutation aspect which would reform either of his arms into a whip-like appendage or gets an arm blade.

  3. I can appreciate the colors and the theme, but i'm not sure the large use of ccbs was the best idea here. While it fits well,a more technic or even (dare i say), a more brick based build for the decaying side. For a build with leftovers this is really well done!

Bricks for the decay side? What sort of pieces would you consider to fit that bill? Just curious, not planning on changing anything, I'm simply a bit puzzled at the idea.

*Matoro came from a far away island, according to him his village used to part take in the annual Hammer Flush tournaments back in the day, and after hearing the defeat of Makuta and his minions he was sent. His appearance at first sight caused unrest among people of Okoto. His skeletal arm and green glow unwantingly reminded us of Kulta and his fellow skeletal friends. Though he assured us he has never heard of Kulta, his story to explain the arm didn't make us feel any better. Matoro is something that on his island call a 'spirit touched' able to see both the world of the living and the dead. He can talk to those who has long passed away, even able to step out of his body to traverse the spirit realm but such ability comes at a price. The more he uses it the more his body decays and in the end forever will he be part of the world of the dead.*

Well, this one has been on hiatus for far too long, not to mention it was supposed to have ribs on the decaying side, but that didn't work out in the end, same with the chest, it was supposed to be with the hockey chest piece but that just didn't work out with the CCBS torso shell. All in all I'm very satisfied with the out come, the torso's build got pretty good in my opinion, so many small parts merged into one big component. This MOC is mostly made out of left overs from the Makuta combiner and the parts of the BZP raffle Jango Fett I won way back (along with another Hero Pack) among other things.

  5. They look nice. Skeez is my least favorite for his asymmetrical legs and meh arm designs. I do love how happy Burlzz looks though, he's kinda cute.

Skeez got the short end of the stick as I'm very low on Mixel related pieces, fella most likely will get some tweaks at some point.

To Mate.397: I don't think Lego was rooting for it to fail.  More like there was no pitchers left in the bullpen.  In Gen 1, Lego had 1 or 2 IP that had active storylines. (A story with characters, conflicts and resolution.)  This year, there are 10 (Star Wars, Ninjago, Nexo Knights, DC, Marvel, Elves, Friends, Mixels, Lego Dimensions and of course Bionicle)  All of those (save Dimensions) have produced at least 30 min of content for broadcast.  The result, it that someone was going to get a short piece.  Bionicle and Mixel got unlucky.

You do know SW and Friends sets did co-exist with G1 sets back in the day right? Even Marvel sets if you really think about it, with those movie studio sets and  G1 was still their flagship for some years, because they put effort into it. Whatever process was behind G2 clearly had something wrong, there were so many great stuff left on the floor cut out, and instead of backing Bionicle and treating it with the respect it should have gotten, since it pulled Lego out of the gutter back in 2001, they just tried to mimic 2001 watering it down heavily and not advertising it properly, to me that feels like they were not too eager to do this from the start. A reboot that could have been a glorious return of the phoenix that is Bionicle, rising from the ashes was nothing more than a cardboard cut out with some confetti in the end.

It's almost like Lego wanted Bionicle to fail this year...

Netflix series was below average and the line was pulled a year early, Nexo Knights is probably going to start season 3 soon, Elves on Netflix soon, Ninjago a movie and a season soon.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit salty.

Bionicle didn't need to fail for any of those things to happen. So I don't see why you'd think Lego would be any less disappointed with its failure than the fans are.

From the start Bionicle was given a shoe string budget (and most was probably blown on those gold masks) to work with and that showed from the quality of the web animations while Nexo Knights and Ninjago started off with their own TV series from the get go, and the Netflix "series", Journey to One, wasn't anything to write home about, it was heavily rushed riddled with errors. Not to mention the terrible business decision of not even trying to advertise it like the other lines but instead "leave it up to the older fans" as they put it to market it for kids.

  7. This makes me wish we would have gotten legitimate Makuta sets. Very nice MoC that adequately portrays Makuta. My only complaint is that the chest "printing" doesn't have nearly as much detail as it ought to. However, it serves its purpose.

I didn't make the print, so I can't really do much about it, but it's still better than nothing.
