    There aren't entire books that are considered to be non-canon, however there are minor details that are sometimes omitted. All of them are amazing books and I would highly recommend them. Chronicles is the first book series, detailing the exploits of the Toa Mata and Toa Nuva. The writing isn't very good but they're still nice stories nonetheless. Adventures are flashback books about the Turaga's stories while they were the Toa Metru and Toa Hordika. Adventures is by far my favorite series. In my opinion, three of the best ones are The Darkness Below, Challenge of the Hordika, and Time Trap. Legends is the series that follows the final story arc before the scene is changed in 2009. It does a really good job of illustrating the high intensity of the final moments before the climax of the story.

    I'd like to say that I love the new animations. They almost look vaguely reminiscent of the '05 Hordika animations, which is a very nice touch.

    I was going to write a really long post to counter OP's arguments, but everything that can be said has been said.

    I wanted to show how cheap Okoto is and how amazing Mata nui was. That alone should explain how cheapened the new bionicle is. @masterchirox The matoran had DIFFERENT masks regardless, and were not all the same mask. And don't you tell me the protectors have "different masks" because, they don't. Every matoran in the old story had their own colors and masks and you could tell which character they were. They did not give any character to the protectors and heck, for a large part of last year we didn't even know the protectors had NAMES. So tell me, is it the same as old bionicle now? Yes, parts of the old story were cheap and gimmicky, but no where near as gimmicky as today's bionicle. And deep down you know it. There really is no defending the new bionicle. Would you be saying the same thing if Okoto came first?

    I believe squids are considered collectibles because they could also be purchased alone in supplementary packs. They would have needed more colors than aqua blue in those supplementary packs, while zamor conveniently existed in all three metallic colors (gold, gunmetal and silver)...squids only had a 30% chance of having a slight misprint/mismold dark shade of orange molded into the rubber. The blue squids arent included in any other sets, dont have a storyline significance or mentioned existing in the bionicle universe at all. Personally i wonder why the squids didnt have painted-in eyes of some sort, that yellow rubber made it difficult for me to spot the eyes on them. The thing is, squids are one piece. Unless they were going to have eye pieces that were separate from the body piece, they would have to be one color. This is because, aside from melded parts, they don't make multi-color pieces.

    the only one i found had thematic sense was Hewkii's Sanok, mask of accuracy. (he was a kohlii expert, so a mask like that was second nature, his already good shots were simply better, likewise, he had a chain attatched to his Axe, so he could toss it accurately and it would come back to him! tbh, Hewkii might just be my fvorite inika looking back...) It's a shame that we didn't get to see them in action more before they became Toa Mahri.

    Haven't been able to be online much recently, mostly because of school and stuff on other websites. However I'm free for the next podcast whenever it is.

    Very nice job! It's certainly one of the more unique torsos I've seen before. Maybe I'll try something like that for some of my future MOCs.
