  1. Hey! Has anyone ever wondered why the Inika had "organic" Kanohi? When I first found out they did, I was hoping there was some connection to the Krana, and we would find out the "big secret" about the bohrok through the Inika's masks. I can't say there is no connection, but it was never really answered why their Kanohi were organic. Are Iden, Suletu, and Calix Kanohi just organic by nature? I don't think so - Krakua had a Suletu, and his was just normal. Are there any other characters who have organic kanohi? Does the Red Star have some connection to the Bahrag and the Krana, or perhaps the Bohrok or Bohrok-Kal? I think there might be- see, the Bohrok are "undead"(?) matron, and the Red Star deals with the death/rebirth of Bionicle characters- maybe there is some connection- Did the lightning contain protodermic energies, or perhaps the same energies that turned Bohrok into Bohrok Kal? What else do you guys know about Organic masks, Inika, and the Red Star?
  2. I like some of the ideas here- like that the masks are placed on the deceased, and so when they are "zombified", they still wart those death masks. Personally, my first idea was that the skull masks are the reason they came back to life- like the skull masks are the reason they are reanimated, which means someone put them on them...
  3. I don't know about all the detail with the books and the animations, but somewhere down the line, it'd be cool to have a toa-sized Ekimu as a set- maybe the same year the assumed Titan Makuta will make his debut
  4. I'd keep the same characters and basic formula. Really, I think a re-reboot would be a great opportunity to start a cinematic world for Bionicle, maybe with 1 movie every two/three years or so, and maybe a tv show. It something I've always wanted to see, and now that Lego has a growing on-screen presence, I think it could be done, maybe in BG2, but definitely in BG3. It would just take a lot of forward thinking and planning ahead. Elements: Good V Bad, Good Wins; Friendship; Teamwork; Fighting for something bigger than yourself. All the good stuff. Unity, Duty, Destiny, and introducing the Fourth Virtue, Apathy.
  5. I think that the G2 world probably is connected in some way, but in a way that won't take away from it being it's own story- or be a continuation of G1
  6. A lot happens to the BIONICLE world when you take a break for a bit...the protectors have names, and now, for practically the first time ever, boys and girls are crossing tribal boundaries- apparently, Korgot the Earth Protector is a Woman! And Kivoda, the Water Protector, is a Man! The first time ever really that Bionicle has broken it's longstanding unwritten rule that blue people are girls, and no one else is, in a big way. Sure, there have been exceptions from time to time, but it's been the default for nearly all of Bionicle's original run. Honestly, given the simplified approach they seemed to be taking with B'15, this move surprised me. What do you think the implications are of this move? Do you think we will see more womanly characters in unseen roles, such as fire-element heroes, or will we see more of what was done in the Glatorian Era- namely, just making more characters male? What sort of characters would you hope to see now that the old rules are done away with?
  7. I don't come here often, so maybe I missed something: I checked out biosector01, and apparently the protectors got names! When did this happen? Who named them? Was it a fanonized thing?

  9. I would like to start listing some Bionicles on bst. how can I have the best experience with selling/trading? what experiences have you guys had, and what would you do to make them better/ most successful? if in the wrong place, feel free to move topic
  10. I have all 6 stars (used but in good condish). you can have 'em. pm me. never used bst b4, so walk me thru it, K?
  11. the masks were made on metru nui, and the toa metru brought them to mata nui. I don't think the turaga ever explain why they hid the masks, but I think it was more to hide them from the Makuta than from the toa.
  12. apparently, (according to the Wikipedia article) Bionicle was meant to run for 20 years continuously. I think I remember GregF mentioning something about that, that Lego was having a meeting back in 08 or 07 about the future story "up to 2020".
  13. funny how both he and ekimu have hammers as weapons- and similar masks. I don't know where the info comes from that he's green gray though- even before ekimu, I imagined him with mostly gold.
  14. I guess I should redefine my opinion of "full potential" to mean the exposure and reach of the Bionicle property- in my opinion, a really good TV show would be among the most effective ways to familiarize a large audience (particularly the target market) with the Bionicle characters and world, if not one of the more costly ways. after all, TV shows are what made Transformers such a big deal, and eventually became the primary vehicle of storytelling for the series, I believe. imagine: being able to watch a Season 4 of Bionicle on Netflix...
  15. thanks guys! this has given me a good place to start
  16. honestly, I think it would be rather lame to have all these references to time and have it NOT have a time travel element. it was bad enough that the vahi couldn't time travel (very disappointing)- it would be horrible if all this "time setup" was just a stasis removal or to speed up some planets - if done right, time travel would be a great twist to the new story, and really something that was never present in the old one. I'd like to see it done.
  17. in my definition, "full potential" would mean a TV show- I could see Bionicle G2 having a Ben 10-like cartoon, something action-y and fun. maybe next reboot. ?
  18. I prefer to think that they are connected. Somehow, some way...#matanuilives
  19. i don't know if this has been brought up, but do the toa have any elemental powers independent of their masks? If that's the case, of the toa switched masks, would they suddenly become the "master" of a different element? what would happen if the toa switched masks around?
  20. my '01 Kopaka is literally turning yellow! on the side of his mask and in some of the details of the body. it's like the plastic is losing its color. he's been sitting in his can in the garage for a while, so he's not roughed up. what's going on? and how can I save the toa of slipping from turning yellow?
  21. chronix- I have all 01 toa/ Turaga, some nuva, rahaga,Rahkshi, bohrok, kal, va, metru, various matoran, a mahri, 6 stars, and rare masks. pm me for more info. i may start a new topic in BST.
  22. Hi! I'm looking to sell my BIONICLE collection. Besides this site, what other places can I find buyers? Anything local too? And yes, I do have complete sets as far back as 2001 (in great condition) and would like to get a decent amount for them. Any leads?
  23. I have a different idea about the Skull villains: Makuta is presumably behind all the evil on the island, and uses his Mask of Control to do so. I believe he created the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders, to control an army of bugs that can control the minds of the ones whose faces they latch on to. - Somehow, the LoSS gets it, whether apart of Makuta's plan or not I'm not sure. The summer Skull villains I think are corpses who wear Masks that reanimate their bodies, but like the skull spiders, are subject to a higher mask that controls them. This would fit in with the "knock off the mask" feature they brought back. Knock the Skull villains masks off, and they go back to being dead, and Makuta loses control of them. However, I don't think Makuta will show up this year. My guess is that each special mask from "The Legend" will have it's own year. Next year, or the one after, we will most likely have a Makuta.
  24. On the topic of box art, what's with the Two moons? Will those come into play some time in the future story, or are they there just to look nice? I'm rather hoping that they have some sort of significance.
  25. It look like on the box art too that each villain brings the Toa closer to the Anvil Temple. Skull Warrior --> Skull Slicer --> Skull Scorpio --> Skull Basher, and then the final showdown between Ekimu and The Grinder.
