  1. These are amazing; I love them! You’ve done an amazing job! Thanks for providing the patterns; it’s really cool to see how to make something like this and it might be fun to try to make one myself!
  2. What a strange place to find both a BIONICLE and a Hero Factory reference. I wonder how they chose Tuma and Surge 2.0 of all characters lol
  3. This is awesome! I love how you used different textures for the different Wahi (like the slopes and curved bricks for Le-Wahi vs. the bare studs for Po-Wahi). Congrats on 1 yeah here at BZP!
  4. Great review! This is certainly an interesting set, but I can’t help but think that the original set from 2008 is better in some ways. Especially the Indiana Jones minifigure; the original one is such a classic and the new one looks off to me. Imo, the face simply doesn’t look like Indiana Jones.
  5. Wow! This is so cool! Even though the mask design did change, it’s actually pretty close to the final design. I wonder if some of the design differences were because this design had to be printed. Regardless, this is an insanely cool find! Congrats on obtaining such a neat part of BIONICLE history!
  6. Happy Birthday, BZPower! I have tons of cherished memories from this place (from both before and after I made an account), and I’ll always be grateful for the community and staff that have lived here for so many years. Every so often, I go back and reread some of the old news articles in the archive for nostalgia’s sake (and I sometimes find things I skipped over before, which is always fun). Looking forward to seeing some of the fine people from here at Brickfair in two weeks!
  7. This is such a cool tribute to the staff that have made this site possible!
  8. This is pretty cool. I like the overall vibe of it. Nice usage of the minifigure ski for the head!
  9. I just found this topic and wow, this is some incredible artwork! Keep up the good work!
  10. I’m a bit of both, I guess. I’ve been slowly trying to add old sets to my collection. I’m not going for a complete set of Kanohi, Krana, etc.; I’m just interested in the sets lol. As for MOCing, I do enjoy tinkering with various parts and taking MOCs to BFVA. I haven’t built many BIONICLE specific MOCs in a while, though. Maybe I should get back into it lol
  11. I voted yes as I can read/write in Matoran pretty well. I used to leave Matoran messages around my college for people to find lol. Some people in my dorm building learned it because of my messages too
  12. That’s a good point about the axle. I wonder how that would’ve worked in his other hand as it needs to hold both the claw and the squid launcher on the same axis
  13. Where did you find this image? I’m pretty sure I remember that the 2007 character bio animations featured an Ehlek that looked something like this, but that’s pretty much the only time I’ve seen this guy. It really looks like the only things that changed were the head mould and the squid launcher design. I wonder if this squid launcher design would work better… It could be neat to try to design it and 3D print it tbh
  14. These are really cool! I think my personal favorite is probably the Akaku
  15. Oh man, I loved VNOG so much. I got into BIONICLE in 2005, so I didn’t play MNOG or MNOG 2 until later on, but I played VNOG as it was coming out. I didn’t ever complete the game (maybe that’s a goal for next year?), but I remember playing it for hours and hours. So many happy evenings exploring the island and completing (tons and tons of) fetch-quests (and other quests too lol). The art style for the game was so unique for BIONICLE, and I loved it.
  16. I didn’t see this artwork until now, but it’s absolutely brilliant. Great work
  17. Wow, these are amazing! I can’t believe how accurate all of the models (let alone the prints) are. The Mask of Light and Shadow is particularly fascinating to me. It looks fantastic. Keep up the great work!
  18. This is amazing! I especially love the use of the tooth pieces for the waves - it’s ingenious! Also, I didn’t realize that you work at LEGO now. Congrats! That’s incredible! What sort of stuff do you work on?
  19. These are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. I remember seeing the your Vezon costume at BFVA 2019 - I was super impressed. Really cool to see you’ve made some other masks too.
  20. Haha happy to help! Thanks for posting your thoughts! I have always puzzled about these as well. I could never figure out Ta-Metru, but I had a few thoughts about some of the others. I was thinking that Ga-Metru might be the walkway to the Great Temple and that Onu-Metru’s was a hallway full of exhibits in the Archives. Your interpretations make a lot of sense too, so I’m glad you made this topic.
  21. I think Po-Metru’s symbol is a bunch of Mata-head sculptures around the center point to represent the carvings and sculptures made in Po-Metru.
  22. I’m looking forward to fan projects, Brickfair Virginia (fingers crossed), and some more BIONICLE references on stickers scattered across various 2022 LEGO sets. Tangentially related to BIONICLE, I’m looking forward to the new SCCBS system that’s being introduced in the new Ninjago sets. Happy New Year, everyone!
