  1. Thaaaaaaaaaaat's debatable... Yeah, with the amount of second- and third-guessing going on in S&T. The other examples are still true, though I never cared what Greg said. So you didn't like/care for the story? Because he was one of the head writers, and wrote almost all the books (except for the first few, which were by Cathy Hapka).
  2. Speaking of Kopaka, I just now noticed that he put his skis together like a snowboard in the picture! Neato!
  3. Favorite, 2015 because Bionicle came back with a bang Least favorite, 2010 because Bionicle did not go out with a bang.
  4. Pick up all the Toa at least. I think they are the best Toa-level sets I've ever built. Though I do agree that they are a bit pricey... Maybe wait for a sale? -NotS While they may seem pricy, the overall price of 2015's sets is relatively small, compared to previous years. Look at 2008, with all those vehicles... Yeah, frankly, I think that the $270 for 2015 Bionicle is pretty fortunate.
  5. Even after everything that people have said that support not going for canisters? Other options are far more eco-friendly, and are also more economically efficient.
  6. Old pieces, old ways of making pieces. Also, plastics tend to be more brittle the older they are.
  7. Trust me, CCBS does not break. That's exactly one of the reasons why some people, including me, like it more than the original Bionicle pieces. So don't worry about those snapping apart or whatever. LEGO knows what they're doing now. Don't really know what happened 2008-2010, but they fixed it.
  8. He is the scariest of the bunch though. But still, his stats are worse overall compared to Tahu's, even worse than Pohatu. Wonder why he got the short end of the stormrang. Well, that's suggesting that "Fear Factor" means that he is the scariest. I don't think so. Personally, I think it makes more sense that the higher the fear factor, the less likely their are to be fazed by things, y'know?
  9. Yeah, but what's with Lewa's intelligence? 5? Is he supposed to be brain-dead? Guess he spent too much time wind-flying and not enough time studying. Maybe? I guess it just means that he doesn't have a knack for strategies and tactics... In any case, I'm kind of upset that he didn't have more impressive stats.
  10. I don't think any sensible Toa is out to kill, no matter how lethal their weapon seems. Also, everything is lethal if you're determined and creative enough.
  11. Yeah, but what's with Lewa's intelligence? 5? Is he supposed to be brain-dead?
  12. My gen1 stuff is pretty much in boxes with the majority of my sets. As for gen2, they're on the shelves I've dedicated to Gen2
  13. No, it means that he did slip, but was lucky enough that the Protector of Ice believed that he didn't slip.
  14. I love the versatility. No matter if you're using pieces from Hero Factory, Bionicle, Super Heroes, Chima, or Star Wars, the pieces are compatible and look great together. Old gen1 Bionicle pieces were so specialized that they didn't really fit into any other lines.
  15. The LEGO Club magazine for May-June has been released, and there's an interesting two pages (12-13) that go over some stats for each Toa. I thought I'd do everyone a favor and post them here. Tahu: Power - 9 Agility - 8 Special Abilities - 6 Intelligence - 7 Weaponry - 6 Fear Factor - 5 Luck - 10 Pohatu: Power - 9 Agility - 7 Special Abilities - 7 Intelligence - 7 Weaponry - 6 Fear Factor - 4 Luck - 6 Onua: Power - 9 Agility - 6 Special Abilities - 8 Intelligence - 9 Weaponry - 6 Fear Factor -3 Luck - 6 Gali: Power - 7 Agility - 7 Special Abilities - 5 Intelligence - 9 Weaponry - 6 Fear Factor - 3 Luck -7 Kopaka: Power - 8 Agility - 7 Special Abilities - 7 Intelligence - 8 Weaponry - 6 Fear Factor - 4 Luck - 7 Lewa: Power - 8 Agility - 8 Special Abilities - 4 Intelligence - 5 Weaponry - 7 Fear Factor - 6 Luck - 5 It looks to me like Lewa got the short end of the stick, here. Also, does anyone have an idea as to what "Fear Factor" means? Go on, discuss these stats below! I'm thinking of adding a poll, but I'm not sure. If anyone feels like it would work, go on and tell me. Thanks.
  16. Okoto Online Game? What's that? Mask of Creation? Because that's already got a name.
  17. If you're half-blind and brain-dead? Sure, it might look something like that to you. But most reasonable people will recognize that a breastplate like that isn't gendered or atypical for armor. Dang, calm down. No need to call someone brain-dead over a chest plate! XD Maybe Lyichir was a bit harsh, but you have to admit that Decepticonwarrior is being very obtuse, and acting like a little child. "It looks like a bra!" *insert explanations as to how it looks far more like a breastplate, and how it isn't a bra at all (two such examples from actual girls)* ... "It still looks like a bra."
  18. Favorite Bionicle game is hard to say. I love the MNOG series, but Bionicle Heroes holds a special place in my heart. As for games that made me want to cry, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
  19. looks at kopaka chest plate i happen to own* this is seriously a stretch as far as criticisms go. :t Yeah... those gray things look less like nipples and more like vents, or as some people like to think of them, speakers. Y'know, like the ones on his thighs? Also, that upper-chest armor is a breastplate. It's designed to look A) Unisex, and B) Muscular. That's why it works for Gali and her brothers.
  20. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pohatu. ... aaaaannndd TAKUA!!!
  21. Decepticonwarrior, do you ever actually listen to things people tell you when they are defending CCBS and Gen2? I feel like if you did,you would understand the points we make: that CCBS, or "Skeleball", as you insist on calling it, is, in many ways, better than the classic system. The pieces are no longer brittle and breakable. They are far more resistant to dust-collection. The pieces aren't "simple", but rather unspecialized, so multiple lines (Hero Factory, Chima, Bionicle, Star Wars, and even Super Heroes for a time) can use it. As for the story, it's geared towards children! 6 to 14. The story needs to appeal to children in that range, which it does! My little cousin is 6, and he loves Bionicle. The sets are great, story is great, to him. If LEGO produced a story that was more complicated, more complex, children would not enjoy it as much, and there would suddenly be less demand for the sets. Also, there seems to be one thing that you refuse to accept. The animations are just 15 minutes, and made to draw people into the story. They aren't the ultimate, end-all medium that will convey every aspect of the story. That's what the books are for! One of them is coming in August, and thank God, because hopefully it will keep you quiet. That's where the more complex details of the story will come in. Y'know, maybe you didn't know this, but the first gen1 book came out in 2003! There were two years where comics, MNOG, and the Bohrok animations were the only story we got. Yeah, yeah, MNOG was all that. Yes, I get it. I love the game too, but it still wasn't everything. The books were what finally made the story more fleshed-out and interesting. So far, the story seems so, but I don't understand why everyone is so quick to judge. You're right. Let me reformulate my statement: The way the story is being presented to us is currently horrible. Like I just said above, wait for the books. Really, that's where everything is going to come into place, more so than the 15 minutes worth of video we have now.
  22. Are you kidding? BIONLCIE is the best toy brand ever!
  23. It seems to me that most of the opinions on G2 topics, or CCBS topics, fall into three categories: 1. People like the new. They see some flaws, but are overall pleased because Gen2 and CCBS have fixed many of Gen1's problems. 2. People are neutral. They don't think gen2 has been going on long enough to be making many judgements. 3. People hate Gen2 and CCBS. They seem to think that Gen1 was perfect and that it should have been either continued, or followed more closely in the reboot. In addition it seems that many of their opinions are not founded, and they don't admit their wrong when someone shows them how they're incorrect or too quick to judge.
  24. Nokama. "Either the universe has gone insane, or I have. I vote for the universe." -Vakama Bro... too soon.
  25. That's probably the best course of action. Also, I might get an Xbox One later on in the summer, planning on the Halo: MCC bundle for $349. There's also a bundle with Assassin's Creed Unity, but you can also get the system alone for $349 as well. Basically, if you have even the slightest desire to play either of those games, get the bundle. Just a bit of friendly advice. As for those summer sets, they all looks pretty cool, and personally, I think they'd look better all together as a team. That's just me and my $90 budget, though.
