  1. I guess it just seemed expensive to me because A) I'm 15 and don't spend amounts of money that large very often, and B) in previous years, the Toa were always cheaper. I recently found an old LEGO catalogue in my bedroom. It's from spring 2008, and each of the Phantoka is listed as $10. Seems like a big difference, but when you account for all the vehicles and titans, it's pretty miraculous I have most of the 2008 sets I do have (all but Vultraz, Gavla, Chirox, Jetrax (yellow and blue), Icarax, Mutran, and Klakk).
  2. As of today, I own every Gen2 set, including the Hero Pack and Comic-Con mask. But that got me thinking... how much did that cost? So thats... $10 * 6 (protectors) $15 * 4 (Gali, Lewa, Pohatu, LoSS) $20 * 3 (Tahu, Kopaka, Onua) So, 60 times 3, with a total of $180. That's right. if you own every gen2 set, you spent $180 on them, plus extra if you were late to the bandwagon with getting the clear comic-con mask. Personally, I got mine off eBay for $30, so I spent $210, excluding total tax. Now, what about summer? Skull Warrior, Basher, Scorpio, and Slicer are all $15, so that's $60, and Skull Grinder + Ekimu is $30. Wave 2 totals in at $90. All in all, the total cost of Gen2 waves 1 and 2 is $270*. If you don't own any of the sets yet, and you want all of them, you'd better have some money saved. These are some expensive toys. Granted, they have the versatility of LEGO and the functionality of action figures, so I say it's worth it. What about you? Do you think that the 18 sets of 2015 are worth $270? Let me know; I'm interested to hear your opinion. *If you don't live in the US, I took the liberty of converting approximate currencies. European Union - 256 Euros UK - 182 Pounds Canada - 345 Dollars Mexico - 4,174 Pesos Sorry if your country isn't up there. I tried.
  3. Wait a second...! So, Kalija mentioned that Tahu's additional mask power could be invisibility, and... uh... Tahu has a clear mask. Not the Hero Pack trans-orange one, the Comic-con trans-white mask! That could very well be a mask of invisibility. Oh-ho, this speculation stuff is fun!
  4. Yeah, I agree with Hellyam. The Vezon set itself was kind of bare, so I suppose they thought a cape would make him look cooler. In their defense, it did, so yeah.
  5. Name: Cwog Gender: Male Element 1: Ice Element 2: Jungle Other: Easily stressed out, not good around people he is not familiar with. Is caring, and loves to be around close friends. Can get overconfident, but his mediocre fighting skills remind him that he isn't all that. Weapon of choice, a burst-fire battle rifle, shoots ice bullets in rounds of 3 Role: Hunter, but will take another role if there are too may submissions.
  6. Take all this into consideration, and then remember that all the Toa except Gali have a (semi)transparent mask. Tahu has the orange from the Hero Pack, Pohatu has yellow, Lewa's got green, Kopaka has light blue, and Onua has the purple one. These masks could have those additional powers that aren't necessarily elemental. What do you guys think?
  7. I agree with SPIRIT. In the new canon, it's illegal or forbidden to have masks with more than one element, right? Instead of adding more elemental power onto the existing characters (like some people are suggesting is going to happen this summer), get some new elements in there. Again, like I said before, I really want more villagers to diversify the mythos. Similar to the protectors, but not them. Maybe have differently blended "protector" masks, or the solid colors we see in the videos. The only problem I see with more villagers is the fact that from what we've seen in the videos, none of them have weapons and such; the protectors are the leaders and defenders of the tribes. Also, about the new elements, that might be kind of hard to do, seeing as there are only six regions of Okoto. If there were more, that'd be great. Ooo, what if the Toa discovered an ancient tribe living in the Protector Ruins? Like, the descendents of those who did not want to leave after the incident with the Mask of Ultimate Power? I don't know, but it might be cool.
  8. The Toa will probably be redesigned, possibly more in tune with their elements. As for the rest of the 2016 line, I want more villagers, this time with names. It's kind of annoying that the Protectors don't have names. I mean, the BZP review for the Protector of Earth named him Barney, and I'm sticking to that, but what else can we expect? Dunno, man.
  9. In 2004, I was 4, but I got Nokama Metru and built her with my brother. My brothers got a few 2001-2003 sets, but my first was Metru Nokama.
  10. I think the Toa should go in the front of the middle shelf, with the protectors either above them or behind them. The LoSS and Skull Villains of August on the 2nd shelf. I don't know where, but the spare masks should be together. So if you like to display the Toa with their colored masks, put all the Gold ones together with the other masks of fire.
  11. Wow... how much did it cost you? That seems like a whole lot of masks...
