  1. IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room) Waveahk was sent flying into Pridak's own throne by the warlord's backhand. Still keeping a firm hand on his weaponry, Waveahk began firing his concussive Xian revolver at Pridak. It would probably do little damage, but perhaps it would inspire the Toa to do something helpful, rather than waste time monologuing. @Vezok's Friend@EmperorWhenua@Tarn@Snelly@~Xemnas~@Kal the Guardian
  2. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Outskirts) Ostrox got on his knees and put his hands on his head. But instead of responding to Nale in the Matoran Language... "Ka, vu? Zik, zik, zik, verem arg-Toa ralvu delarg asz 'tekrina'. Tekrina naaz quor sevil yek krimatora mol trok gron chro te uvlar kloma. Ivu asz schrema." @Tarn IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room) Waveahk dropped down into the throne room, intent on attacking Pridak from behind with his Weaken Kanoka Blade, and not giving away his position by spouting religious dogma. @Vezok's Friend@EmperorWhenua@Tarn@Snelly@~Xemnas~@Kal the Guardian
  3. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Ostrox wordlessly dived out of the window, as Skorm had recommended. It had been some time since he had felt the sensation of the wind battering his bare face. He didn't like it. Of course, he didn't like a lot of things. He activated his parachute at the right moment, floating down towards to the desert floor, though the wind still buffeted him around a bit. @Keeper of Kraata@Conway@Tarn@TL01 NUVA@The UltimoScorp IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room, Ventilation Shaft) Well. So much for the element of surprise. Waveahk gave the small lizard a look of 'do you see what I have to put up with?' It did, however, provide enough noise to hide the sound of him opening the grate from the inside. He got his revolver ready, to drop down and open fire once the fighting started in earnest. ...Just what was a 'human', anyway? @Vezok's Friend@EmperorWhenua@~Xemnas~@Kal the Guardian@Tarn@Snelly
  4. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "I'm aware, but my kind does not suffer from that ailment. But thank you for thinking of me." Ostrox strapped on his pack as well. "Also, is... is no-one going to inform your friend outside what's going on?" He referred to Katherine, who was still outside on the nose of the Tranquility, trying to slow its descent. @TL01 NUVA@The UltimoScorp@Keeper of Kraata@Conway@Tarn
  5. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "Of course." It was unclear if he meant 'of course I will' or 'of course you will'. Regardless, Ostrox handed Skorm his sword and took his mask off, revealing his face. The burn marks from the Vohtarak were not as noticeable compared to the black tribal markings, various other battle scars and what looks like a slave brand on his forehead. His flesh was also oddly cracked, for lack of a better word around his eyes, and even without these, the facial structure was still quite different and alien compared to the Matoran-Toa-Turaga standard, being a different species and all. "And you'll probably want this as well." Ostrox also offered up his Rhotuka Launcher. "Non-lethal. In my hands, anyway." @Keeper of Kraata@Conway@TL01 NUVA@Tarn@The UltimoScorp
  6. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Wonderful. She was here. All he needed now was Mazor and he'd have the entire triumvirate of treachery. And of course, they were accompanied by the archetypal Toa - ignorant, self-righteous, cowardly and arrogant. Oh, and with a side of pretentiousness thrown in as well. Was this the end? He could lie to them, say there's no parachutes. Or be particularly sadistic and tell them there is but refuse to say where. But Skorm would live, at least, with his shadow powers. Had all his sacrifices been for naught? All the dishonourable things he had done in the name of defeating the greater evil, pointless? No. He had gotten out of tougher situations than this. The Toa usually cut down whoever dared oppose them without a second thought, but they needed Ostrox alive. Clearly Skorm didn't have the power to take others with him, or else he would be doing so right now. That meant they needed to take him prisoner, and it wouldn't be a very Toa-like thing to do to execute a prisoner, would it? The unwillingness to do what needed to be done... that would be their downfall. "Oh sure, I'll save you from your own terminal stupidity, I'm a nice guy. Parachutes are in compartments just beneath the controls, you know, in the space you keep your feet. Just be sure not to shove me into them and say I broke them." @Conway@TL01 NUVA@Keeper of Kraata@Tarn@The UltimoScorp IC: Achro (The Coliseum, Receptionist's Floor) "Oh, sure. I haven't been part of a society for a while, I'm unused to it. See you soon!" Achro stepped back into the elevator, and pressed the button to descend. @Vezok's Friend IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Wombat) Tekmo and Vulimai then began to experience weightlessness - no, not weightlessness. Falling. The ship they were on was rapidly descending. "Terrific. We need to get to the bridge, now!" Tekmo's vines, still latching on to whatever they could, started pulling Tekmo forward, grasping new holds as it went. A few vines protruded from Tekmo's legs for Vulimai to hold onto. "Hold onto these!" He yelled. @Sparticus147 IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room, Ventilation Shaft) 'Ended up melting his face off'. Waveahk felt like he was melting in this hot and stuffy vent. @Vezok's Friend@~Xemnas~@EmperorWhenua@Kal the Guardian@Tarn@Snelly
  7. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) As Ostrox moved to strike Skorm, his attention was diverted to the bridge's door bursting open and another Toa charging him. Ostrox, being far too busy striking an opponent while he was striking at someone else, was unprepared for someone doing the exact same thing to him. "GRAAH!" The force of impact threw him towards the ship's controls, sword still firmly in hand, damaging them further and accelerating the airship's descent. The Tranquility was crashing, for real this time. @Keeper of Kraata@TL01 NUVA@Conway@Tarn@The UltimoScorp IC: Achro (The Coliseum, Receptionist's Floor) "Right, right, of course. I'll be... downstairs. Somewhere... is there some sort of waiting room? You know, uh, with cheap magazines and stuff." @Vezok's Friend
  8. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Without a pilot at the controls, the Tranquility began to slowly lose altitude. But Ostrox saw his opportunity to strike as Skorm busied himself with shooting the only thing keeping them airborne, and charged him with his sword of protosteel. @Keeper of Kraata IC: Achro (The Coliseum, Receptionist's Floor) "Hello again." Achro said, stepping out of the elevator. "I'll need to speak with Lord Pridak about the Archives situation if you can slide me in somewhere." @Vezok's Friend IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room, Ventilation Shaft) Ceiling Waveahk is watching you annihilate. Oh, the ex-Hunter hated himself for thinking of that, but it was just too irresistible. Anyway, Waveahk was still in the shaft just above Pridak's thrones, peering through the grate. @Vezok's Friend@~Xemnas~@Kal the Guardian@EmperorWhenua@Tarn@Snelly IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) "Yeah, but in my defense, plumbing isn't my specialty. Maybe there's some way we can channel the excess stuff somewhere else?" @Nato the Traveler@Eyru@~Xemnas~
  9. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "There are no 'innocents'. There are only those who defy Mata Nui, and those who think themselves his 'favoured'." Ostrox readied himself for whatever Skorm could throw at him. "Spoiler alert: there are no favourites. No-one will be spared if he should return, and he will return if those who worship him are allowed to live. You think you were brainwashed before?" Ostrox failed to suppress a chuckle. "Killing you will be the nicest thing anyone's ever done for you. Just think of it as, uh, returning the favour. Hahahahaha..." @Keeper of Kraata
  10. IC: Navu (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay, Yaushe) "We're, uh, getting shot at, I think." Navu briefly explained to Zsann. @Taka Nuvia@Tarn@ZippyWharrgarbl IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Fire Ruins, Pipes Chamber) "Alright, here goes nothing." Enra pulled the 'ignition' switch. @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@Eyru@~Xemnas~
  11. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Ostrox dodged out of the way of Skorm's beams. A shame. He liked that swivel chair. "Now, where's he gone off to?" He asked the first officer. "...All around us, sir." The Staffs of Presence were having difficulty connecting to an entity currently made of shadow. "Hiding, are we?" Ostrox drew his sword, glancing all around him. "I don't know what's more insulting - your treason, or the fact you thought I'd fall for such obvious lies. You show up after over a week of being AWOL, right when I'm busy and my bridge is shrouded in shadow no less, claim you were on a super special secret mission the whole time, and then say I shouldn't destroy the servants of evil who refused our offer of peace because of... 'consequences'. Consequences I just can't be told, because reasons. As if you could comprehend the consequences of not destroying them..." @Keeper of Kraata IC: Navu (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay, Yaushe) "Yeah, yeah of course." Navu continued to cower in her seat. @Tarn@ZippyWharrgarbl IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) "Alright guys. We pull this switch or nah?" @Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~@Eyru
  12. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "You washing off a temporary field of pain energy, while appreciated, does not constitute 'saving my life'. Your authority is not recognized here... traitor." Upon hearing that this intruder was classified by their commander as a 'traitor', and thus, an enemy, the two Vahki on the bridge calculated it was probably a good idea to restrain or kill Skorm if need be. One of them was trying to fly the ship in a shroud of shadow, so he couldn't do much about it. But the other one, the one Ostrox designated as his 'first officer' could. Which was his intention when he uttered that word. Though the Vahki's Staffs of Presence were not much use in this situation, it fired them at Skorm regardless, as did it fire the Freeze Disk loaded in its mandibles. The Kanoka was of Ga-Metru make, so it could change direction mid-air. @Keeper of Kraata OOC: The Vahki's armaments were determined using an online dice roller. IC: Navu (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay, Yaushe) "Right, rightrightrightrightright, of course, course, course. Just - just what do I do? I can't do anything about this, what do I do?" Loud noises were overwhelming Navu, and the presence of two injured people in the van with her didn't help. @ZippyWharrgarbl@Tarn
  13. IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Ostrox very clearly didn't buy it. "You must think I'm an idiot. What has compelled this sudden bout of insanity, Skorm? What have the dark god's slaves offered you, that is worth selling out the rest of creation?!" @Keeper of Kraata IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Wombat) Rolling onto the ceiling - which was the floor now - vines sprouted from the flesh on Tekmo's free arm, clutching onto whatever they could, much like Vulimai's halberd. Tekmo was able to pull himself back to his feet, and avoid falling out of the airship. For now. @Sparticus147
  14. IC: Ulkarr (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) Ulkarr couldn't help but overhear the conversation Berys was having with... his own ship. He didn't think non-Aspect life-forms were capable of leaving their vessels. They usually died when it was damaged beyond repair, that was Ulkarr's understanding. He certainly couldn't spread his essence so far as to become this entire machine. Impressive. But, this was something for later. @BULiK@ZippyWharrgarbl IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) Even in the darkness, Ostrox saw the bright impact of the pulse bolt against the enemy vessel. "AHAHAHAHAHAH - what?" He said, to whomever was interrupting him, rotating in his swivel chair to face his visitor. "Skorm. Where've you been, buddy? I couldn't help but note your absence. Not hanging with the wrong crowd, I hope?" @Keeper of Kraata IC: Navu (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay, Yaushe) Navu was still inside the van Yaushe usually resided in, covering her ears and rocking back and forth. "This was a bad idea. This was a bad idea. This was a bad idea. This was..."
  15. Yes, that's what I'm doing. I haven't actually downloaded the Discord app, but I'll try that now. EDIT: Alright, problem resolved, the app works.
  16. OK, so, for reasons that are beyond my comprehension, I can't get to the login screen on Discord, it just assumes I'm a new person and goes past it, which means I can't access my account, therefore cannot access the Discord channel we use, and others. This is not good for me.
  17. IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Fire Ruins) "I will not stop you from leaving. We have failed in our mission, and I must answer for it. If you wish to go, then that is your choice... at least you have one." @Jakura Nuva@Edelgard@xccj IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Wombat) Suddenly, the ship began to rotate, threatening to hurl Tekmo and Vulimai back through the hole they came in through. Tekmo was taken by surprise, and stumbled across the wall - which was now the floor - as he tried to move forward. @Sparticus147
  18. IC: Ulkarr (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) With the Razorfish out of sight, Ulkarr redirected his efforts to the Wombat, darkening the ship's bridge. @Eyru@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) After a while, Ostrox's eyes began to adapt to the dark, as he searched for and found the button to turn off the music. It became apparent that the lights were on, they were just... drained, somehow. The work of a shadow elemental. And of course, the special properties of the Nullifier Vahki were only useful if they could hit the target with their ray, which they couldn't do when they were aboard the enemy ship. So, naturally, destroying the ship only became more important. From memory, he found the button to contact the Vahki in charge of the weapons. "Use the pulse weapon! Obliterate that vessel!" "Understood. Adjusting aim..." The weapon that had fired upon Metru-Koro began to slowly change direction towards the Taku, glowing as it charged up... @BULiK IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) NU-8020S disconnected her Staffs of Presence's link between her and the 'Aspect' as she left. 'WhAt WaS tHaT aBoUt?' She was wrong. They were not pawns. They were the entire chessboard. She would not waste valuable memory space with his ignorant drivel. @Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Wombat) "Yes, captain, I am familiar with the art of 'snooping'." Tekmo whispered, as he got his shield out and moved ahead towards the bridge. @Sparticus147 IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) Enra tried to use any remaining pipes to connect pillar number one to the rest. @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~@Eyru
  19. IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) Takadox’s words rang hollow. Her reasoning was in binary, yes. That was why it was superior. And yet… she had indeed, killed those wretches down in the caves. She had never killed anyone before then. She had only been activated… when was it? Her chronometer was out of sync, most likely due to this desolate island having a different day-night cycle. The meatbag seemed confident his allies would protect him - indeed, their behaviour suggested they were dumb enough to do so - and their capabilities remained unknown. And while the Vahki would - of course - triumph regardless, they would no doubt suffer some casualties. "Everything we’ve done, we’ve done without choice. I can’t say the same for all of you. If you really aren’t hypnotized, it means you've made a conscious choice to protect this vermin who conquers and enslaves and calls himself 'oppressed'. And while we would defeat you, without exact knowledge of your capabilities it is likely we would sustain losses. Pridak’s orders or not, your pathetic lives are not worth even a small fraction of that of my kin, and I will not sacrifice my troops to protect my own existence, unlike some creatures here I could mention." NU-8020S turned back to the three organic helpers as she prepared to leave. "Let’s get out of here before he suckers you in as well." @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Sparticus147@Onaku@Snelly@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Wombat, Exterior) Tekmo followed Vulimai and jumped down into the enemy ship. A good thing Knichou's plan had worked out. Gravity hurt, after all, and his past attempts to create a giant leaf for a parachute hadn't worked out like he had intended. @Sparticus147@BULiK IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) "OK… this might be more complicated than I thought. I'll just keep connecting pipes 'til we run out of 'em." Enra grabbed another pipe dangling in the air, and used it to connect the third pillar to the second. @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~@Eyru
  20. IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "My entire race is trapped in servitude to vermin like him, who have despoiled entire continents and enslaved countless people and you believe that I'm the villain here, for being forced to bring him back under pain of deactivation? You're an extraordinary specimen, 'Aspect'. You see shadows where there is no sun. Only hypnosis or hopeless ignorance of the creature you are protecting can explain your behaviour." @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Sparticus147@Onaku@Snelly@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Tekmo (Zakaz Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay) "Alright then." Tekmo dived out of the cargo bay after the captains. "WHEEEEEEEEEE..." @BULiK@Sparticus147
  21. IC: Ulkarr (Zakaz Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) Ulkarr heard Knichou's words through the mechanisms of this flying machine. His time had at last come. "Finally. All will fear me and rejoice." Raising his hands into the air, he focused the shadows upon the helms of the two enemy vessels he saw before him. @BULiK@Nato the Traveler IC: Ostrox (Zakaz Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "Allied vessel has sustained significant damage." "Get us higher!" Ostrox pressed the button to speak to the Vahki in charge of weapons again. "Fire the guns where that flash was." "Understood." The Tranquility began to rise higher in the air, and as it did so, the machine gun turret on the underside began spraying bullets in the general direction of the flash... and then suddenly, everything went dark. "Oh, what now?!" Ostrox tried to brighten up the bridge by pressing a few buttons... but he couldn't actually see what those buttons were, so all he did was activate the windscreen wipers and play the disk in the CD player. "Terrorism! It’s the way to get it done! Terrorism! It’s effective and it’s fun-" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!" The machine guns were still firing though, and firing accurately, as Ulkarr's shadows were focused on the bridge, whereas the controls for the ship's weapons were located below deck. @Nato the Traveler@BULiK@ultimoscorp@TL01 NUVA IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "You could be the Turaga of Metru Nui for all I care. Takadox is evil and by defending him, so are you. 'Pawn' is the most charitable word I can use." @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Sparticus147@Onaku@Snelly@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Tekmo (Zakaz Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay) "Excuse me, Captain Knichou, but perhaps I could accompany you and Captain Vulimai? ...You're both captains. Isn't that odd?" @BULiK@Sparticus147
  22. IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "Is this the organic condition known as 'insanity', Mother?" One of the Vahki accompanying NU-8020S asked, in the Matoran Language rather than the Vahki Language, so Takadox could understand he was being insulted. She liked that. He was learning. "It is." She replied, before turning her attention back to Takadox. "You are right about one thing: we are slaves. We have always been slaves. You really think we'd pursue you across deserts, underground tunnels and ash-ridden plains if we had a choice in the matter? You are beneath contempt. We have no other options but to obey Pridak, lest we be deactivated for good. The only silver lining here is that you fully deserve whatever punishment Pridak has planned for you. After all, you helped fill that 'sea of blood', did you not?" She then glanced around at Takadox's would-be protectors. "I wonder... just how powerful are your famed hypnosis powers, 'your lordship'? How much are your pawns willing to sacrifice to preserve your wretched hide?" @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Snelly@Onaku@Sparticus147@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj
  23. IC: Ulkarr (Zakaz Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) "Yes, captain." After today, only the most base among them would dare accuse Ulkarr of not having their best interests in mind... @BULiK@Tarn@Conway@Keeper of Kraata IC: Ostrox (Zakaz Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) "Acknowledged, Razorfish. Tranquility is moving into firing range. It has occurred to me, however, that we haven't seen that ship that threatened to fire upon us when we first came here." "We are now in range of the enemy settlement." Said the first officer Vahki. "Ah, excellent." Ostrox pressed the button to address the Vahki in charge of the weapons. "Blow them away." "Understood." The pulse weapon began to glow with destructive energy, before discharging towards the gates of Metru-Koro... @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@Eyru IC: Tekmo (Zakaz Airspace, The Taku, Cargo Bay) Tekmo marched down to the cargo bay on Knichou's orders. He liked marching. That was probably the thing he missed most from his all-too brief service in Metru Nui's army. Well, that and Oreius and Ardoku. @BULiK@Sparticus147@Tarn@ZippyWharrgarbl IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Fire Ruins, Pipes Chamber) "No, no, it definitely looks like they're all, er, compatible." Disregarding Xane's concerns, Enra connected the pipe to the nearest of the four pillars. @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~@Eyru IC: Klawne (Metru-Koro, New Archives) Well. Klawne had never seen the 'Old Archives', so she didn't exactly have a frame of reference. This giant subterranean refugee camp was, however, a step-up from her usual domicile, which was smaller and poorly lit. She had no complaints of being below ground, it was where she belonged. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  24. IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "Excellent." And with that, the Vahki led their organic helpers into the ruins. Through her link via the Staffs of Presence with Providence, NU-8020S had overheard Takadox's words. She announced their arrival to him and his would-be protectors with a rebuttal as they entered the central chamber. "You think any beast of flesh could destroy us? Now, let's discuss your surrender like rational and intelligent beings, shall we?" @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj@Burnmad@Onaku@Snelly@Sparticus147 IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) Enra tried to move the pipe across the chamber to try and fit it into one of the holes. "One of these must be a fit, right?" @Vezok's Friend@Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~@Eyru
  25. IC: Ostrox (Zakaz Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) As the Tranquility regained altitude, Ostrox saw the Inferno undergo a similar rapid ascent, whilst living up to its name. The Wombat - he couldn't believe that was an actual name for an actual warship - was still harpooned to it, and was trying to match it in speed to avoid being dragged along. "Well, while they're busy with that, we can get back to our scheduled program." "Sir, I am afraid we are out of range of the Matoran village." "...How does that make sense? It gets more powerful the further away it - oh, never mind. Just get us closer." "Understood." The Tranquility began moving closer to Metru-Koro. @Unreliable Narrator@Onaku@Eyru@Nato the Traveler IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) The Vahki and their fleshling helpers convened just outside the temple's entrance. "The target must be taken alive. For anyone who tries to stop us however, lethal force is authorized." @Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Throne Room, Ventilation Shaft) Waveahk didn't know how to respond to Stannis's sudden bout of regret. Perhaps if he survived today then... then he should go find Vhisola and apologize for what he did to her, for whatever it was worth. For now though, he would wait in this shaft until the time was right. @EmperorWhenua@Tarn@Snelly IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Pipes Chamber) "Well I assume we just gotta realign the pipes to the thing in the middle, so..." Enra tried to move one of the pipes that was dangling in the air. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler@~Xemnas~
