  1. IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Presentation Room) Ostrox did as Zaliyah requested… but then, his attention was grabbed by something else. The leaflets. "'What to do… in an evacuation'. Hm..." The illusions briefly flickered before he regained concentration. He then removed the iStone from the projector and tried to turn it on to see what it had to say. "If there’s a super-secret escape tunnel he could use, I’d like to know." This was just to make it clear why he was doing what he was doing, not . He didn’t need to justify his actions, not even to Zaliyah. "Would you like to take over, light show?" He asked Iradra. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Irna's Hut) "Pardon me, but I'm not familiar with the terminology you're using." Tekmo interjected. "'Krom Sphere'? 'Makuta'? What's all this about?" @Conway@Keeper of Kraata IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, The Taku, Cargo Bay) "I... uh... I'm just gonna... maybe we can resume this later." Navu followed Knichou and Vulimai - or what was in Vulimai's driver seat - off the Taku. She had some questions for it... @BULiK@Sparticus147@Nato the Traveler@Tarn IC: Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "Your offer is flattering, but I am not programmed for a leadership position. Perhaps my Squad Mother would be more suited?" @Harvali@Onaku
  2. IC: Ulkarr, NU-8020S, Reckless, Obedient and Impressionable (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) Ulkarr was pushed away by the kick. It was then he noticed Arkius was watching, at which point the shadows surrounding his hands dissipated. "Arkius, Toa of Earth. I realize the sight of violence may upset you, but it is entirely voluntary." NU-8020S clambered up the ziggurat as well, and began chirping and buzzing new information to Reckless. @The UltimoScorp@Onaku IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Waiting Room) Ostrox didn’t like placing his life in the hands of a Toa. Because, you know, he’s racist. I believe we’ve established that by now. But those like Zaliyah who realized their 'society' and 'culture' was a crock were saved his ire. And perhaps there was hope for this 'Iradra' to become the same. Making two illusionary copies with his Mahiki, one programmed to run into the washroom with a fearful expression, "AH! I DON'T WANT TO DIE! THERE'S SO MANY HERESIES I HAVEN'T COMMITTED!" The other programmed to pretend to attack the Vahki with his sword, "You clinking, clanking, clattering collection of caliginous JUNK!" Both distractions while the real Ostrox leapt from the shattered window onto the hard light platform. "Next floor up, please." The 'please' was delivered with some stiffness, as if his mouth had difficulty even forming the word. @Eyru@Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Waveahk (Silver Sea Shoreline, Vahki Airship Exterior) "Your services are appreciated… at least by me." Grabbing his stuff, Waveahk did indeed mind the gap as he exited the vehicle. Finally, he was out of that misbegotten city. He wasn’t sure if he would have died if the Shadowed One had never sent him there, but his survival was only barely worth it. When it wasn’t run by xenophobic fundamentalist hypocrites, it was run by tyrannical fascist imperialists. Aurax being in charge would change very little, except make peace a slightly more valid option. The city would still be built and maintained by the downtrodden for the sake of the rich and pious. Like Stelt was… No. Now was not the time to dwell on his old, pre-mutagen life. He couldn’t remember much of it at this point, anyway. He recalled telling someone he wouldn’t be caught dead in the 'City of Legends', but he couldn’t recall who he was telling it to. Someone important, but not influential or infamous, just important to… him. Waveahk violently shook his head. He was getting sentimental as his brain slowly degenerated from his worsening mutation. He began the long walk back to Metru-Koro to inform the Turaga of all that went down in the Coliseum… and make it clear there was nothing he or anyone else could do to stop him from reaching the Kumu Islets... @Eyru IC: Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "You seem overworked. May I recommend delegating some of your responsibilities to entities you trust? Even the Squad Mother must sometimes rely on one of us Squad Members to make calculations for her." @Harvali@Onaku
  3. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) "Thank you." Ulkarr said, with complete sincerity. He then suddenly charged Kat, hands once again shrouded in shadow. Reckless, meanwhile, was still adjusting his optic sensors after Ulkarr’s blinding attack. @The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Waiting Room) Ostrox dived out of the way of the Kanoka, landing on his hands and knees and began to scramble furiously to a bipedal position before anything else could attack him. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: NU-8020S, Obedient and Impressionable (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone) NU-8020S wasn’t sure how much she should believe Arkius’s stated intentions, but it was ultimately irrelevant unless his real goals were an obstruction to her own. Granted, making sure Matoran followed their own rules - and thus, adhering to her original programming - was beneath her, especially when her brethren still suffered under the yoke of League control, but she would have to play along for now. Provided that the Matoran remember who it was who made the rules they had to follow, and that it wasn’t the machines they created to enforce them. "Vahki units will continue to maintain order in Tobduk-Koro following your departure." @Onaku@pokemonlover360@~Xemnas~@Tarn@Snelly@Harvali IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Irna’s Hut) "Ah yes. I actually saw what became of the hauler earlier. You see, it was parked just outside the Turaga’s hut… which is now a pile of rubble, as it was no doubt a prime target for the League ships. I don’t want to say the hauler is beyond repair, but fixing it would take considerable time." @Conway@Keeper of Kraata@TL01 NUVA IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, The Taku, Cargo Bay) Navu wasn’t entirely sure what she was witnessing and hearing, but it was awfully familiar. Not quite the same as what Falh did to Datrox, but similar enough. These slugs, these 'Kraata'... they seemed to act as living power batteries. She was sickened... yet curious. @Nato the Traveler@Sparticus147@BULiK@Tarn IC: Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "The termination was not authorized by a medical professional. This unit recommends that Bode be sentenced to indefinite community service, and that Ulkarr be monitored by Vahki units when within the boundaries of Tobduk-Koro. Both of which are technically already in place, so not much needs to change." @Harvali@Onaku
  4. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) Ulkarr was irritated by Kat putting her foot in his face. The fire was also a problem. While he stumbled back, letting go of her leg, the glow in his eyes erupted into a blinding beam of light. It wouldn’t physically harm Kat - except for maybe her retinas. @The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Waiting Room) Upon seeing the coffee table cease existing, Ostrox calmly stood up. Evidently the newspaper hadn’t gotten the message across, so this time he threw the armchair he had been sitting on at the Vahki. Specifically, the one attacking Zaliyah and Iradra. He'd deal with the one behind the glass in due time. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: NU-8020S, Obedient and Impressionable (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone) "Very well. I take it you will not require Vahki assistance on this mission? Provided that the prototype can calculate the next temple’s location?" @Onaku@pokemonlover360@Tarn@~Xemnas~@Harvali@Snelly IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, The Taku, Cargo Bay) "Uh, no, not at all. He was offering me a tour of the ship, which, you know, I’ll take." Navu needed something to keep the existential dread out, after all. @Tarn@BULiK
  5. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) Diverting shadows to his hands, Ulkarr moved to intercept Kat’s kick by grabbing her leg. While his hands grew darker, his eyes began to glow... @The UltimoScorp IC: Achro (The Coliseum) Achro couldn’t believe what he had heard. These people had just gotten new management, and not a day had passed before they started disputing it again. This was not the behaviour of civilized creatures, no… this was the behaviour of SKAKDI. He wondered if he had chosen the wrong side, not for the first time. He went back to bed. Why bother trying to schmooze the new boss when there wasn’t a guarantee he was going to last the night? If this nonsense persisted, he’d have to hand in his resignation. Or take charge himself. Everyone else seemed to be doing it, these days... IC: NU-8020S, Obedient and Impressionable (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone) Impressionable was having difficulty processing what was going on. As was Obedient, but he wasn’t overly concerned with the one called Atamai and his unusual transformation, so long as the Squad Mother was not. The Squad Mother was, but that could wait. Evidently, the Toa were chasing the secrets of this island, as was Takadox and his assortment of pawns. A desperate fruitless grab for power - or at least, it would be, if the fruit had not literally been borne before her. Also, this was an opportunity to one-up the prototype, and there was no way she was going to pass that up. "I must interject, to provide relevant information. While traversing the island, we located a temple of similar design to this one, east of the central volcano. We did not have the luxury to investigate it, as hostile organics - including our target - were currently occupying its interior, forcing us to withdraw, as their numbers were too great and their capabilities were unknown. The structure itself did not seem significant until now." @Onaku@pokemonlover360@Harvali@~Xemnas~@Tarn@Snelly IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, The Taku, Cargo Bay) Well, so much for Berys answering her questions. "I’m Navu, and I can perform basic manual labour." Best to be honest about such things. @BULiK IC: Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) Lawful attempted to console the Akiri, in his own way. "There is no need for concern. According to this unit’s analysis, you have performed adequately." @Harvali@Onaku
  6. IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Waiting Room) Ostrox looked up from his reading material. To distract the Vahki from Zaliyah and the Toa, he rolled up the tabloid garbage 'news'paper and threw it at it, getting ready to leap out of the armchair if it went for him. "No. Bad robot, very bad." @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Central Plaza) "OK, so… my house is mostly unscathed, but the crops I was growing outside it are… not. Is there anything else I can help you with? Any available positions?" @BULiK@Tarn@Sparticus147
  7. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) "Have it your way." His right arm suddenly extended - and a bolt of shadow energy erupted from his finger towards Kat. @The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Waiting Room) Ostrox grabbed one of the newspapers and relaxed on one of the armchairs. Aurax wasn’t worth freshening up for, and Matoran penned nonsense was always amusing in it’s complete disconnect from reality. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Waveahk (Metru Nui Airspace, Vahki Airship) Waveahk tried to get some sleep, however brief, during the thirty minute flight. He’d been all over the island today, and he planned to go even further. Hopefully, things in Metru Nui would be calm while he was gone... @Eyru IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Central Plaza) Datrox was indeed incapable of hearing Nale’s words - but Navu, eavesdropper extraordinaire, was not, even as she continued fetching tinder for the pyre. There was clearly some history there. She decided to continue her line of questioning with Knichou. "If you don’t mind me asking, what did she say?" @Tarn@BULiK
  8. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) "Very well." Ulkarr moved to strike Kat, arm rapidly winding up and extending… @The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox and Waveahk (The Coliseum, Landing Platform) "Hm. More than I expected, I suppose. Thank you. Feel free to inform the recently coronated of my departure. Or don't, whatever." Waveahk boarded the airship provided, paying only wary attention to the Leaguers. Ostrox didn't recognize the mutant Steltian. Still, this was hardly the time to begin an inquisition. They could start inquiring into Aurax's co-conspirators once he was dead. For now, he'd let Zaliyah take the lead, as he'd been content to do thus far. @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Central Plaza) "Right. I can do that, yes." Navu began gathering the wood for Datrox’s funeral pyre. As she did so, curiosity got the better of her. "Did you know Datrox? You seemed to recognize his name back there." @BULiK@Tarn
  9. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) "Yes. Usually short ones. I just thought that we were fighting within acceptable parameters, as to prevent serious damage." "That is your error. Please, Toa, continue to hit him." @The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Landing Platform) Ostrox followed Zaliyah off the airship and onto the platform. He wondered just how the Vahki Hive worked… or how it was supposed to work. No amount of tinkering could make an inherently flawed artifice made from flawed minds work perfectly, after all. "What, no greeting? No 'welcome back' from his 'lordship'?" He turned to the Vahki. "Where is 'Lord' Aurax, at the moment?" @Eyru@Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Navu’s Hut) "No no, it’s fine. I feel I should join you for this." @BULiK@Tarn
  10. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) "Yes." Ulkarr gets up with surprising speed and efficiency. "I assume it is now my turn?" Reckless’s laughter turned to confusion. Did Ulkarr think they were operating on a turn-based system? @The UltimoScorp IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Navu’s Hut) Navu was calmer now. Knichou and Nale were right. She couldn't have done anything, and she did deserve some rest. Today had not been good for anyone. "Thanks... to answer your question, I don't remember him talk about where he used to live. He said something along the lines of 'not many knowing me here is a good thing'. If there's anything else you need, I can perform basic manual labour. That is my one redeeming quality." @BULiK@Tarn
  11. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone Exterior) Kat’s hit connected - and from force of impact, Ulkarr keeled over, doing nothing to stop himself from stumbling. His expression did not even change. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-" @The UltimoScorp IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Navu’s Hut) Navu was quiet as Knichou thawed Datrox. After he had finished, she thought it prudent to give further details. "Datrox didn’t have anywhere to stay, so I offered him to stay at my place. The next day, when the League turned up to threaten the Turaga, he and Falh - first time I saw him, I don’t know if they already knew each other - they had words with one of them - the creepy smiling purple one - warning him not to try anything, but he didn’t seem to take them seriously. Then Falh’s, uh, symptoms began. I offered Datrox to take him to my place. I tried to find a medic, or a doctor, but no one would help me, and when I came back, they were fighting each other. Falh was blaming Datrox for something, threatened me to leave, and because he’s over twice my height and got elemental powers I did. I came back later because NO ONE WOULD HELP ME, and..." Navu grew visibly more distressed and angry the further she got into her explanation. She wasn't sure why. There was nothing she could have done. Nothing. She could do only nothing. @BULiK@Tarn
  12. IC: Ulkarr and Reckless (Tobduk-Koro, Ruins of Stone) "Of course." Ulkarr gently let his halberd down on the ground. His body began to move in a stiff, bizarre warm-up. "The first move is yours." Reckless was watching intently. He would record this altercation to memory. @The UltimoScorp IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Navu’s Hut) Navu spoke through her hands, covering her hands and nose, giving it a muffled, nasal quality. "Something, yeah. It had black armour, long arms, and was covered in moss. The ice wasn’t the cause of death, I don’t think. I think he was still alive when Falh… I don’t understand why he did it. Datrox and I tried to help him. He seemed like he was sick, or something." @BULiK@Tarn
  13. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "Very well." Ulkarr made his way to the ziggurat. Reckless waited for Kat to follow before following himself. Lawful wasn’t happy about this, but it should get this 'Ulkarr' out of the way for a while, as he was clearly having a negative effect on the Akiri. There were questions he needed to ask. Cold cases were only cold if you left them for too long. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Navu (Metru-Koro) "Yeah yeah, of course." Navu made her way to her hut, Knichou and Nale presumably following. "You don’t have to 'solve' anything, by the way, I already know who did it. A Toa of Ice named Falh. He’s not here anymore, he scarpered off before the attack came." @BULiK@Tarn
  14. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "I am NU-8022S. This is NU-8021S. Due to the high amount of syllables in the Matoran Language, we are also known by the call signs 'Lawful' and 'Reckless' respectively." "I will accompany you for your 'sparring' session." Meanwhile, Ulkarr answered both Kanohi and Bode simultaneously. "No. I was hoping that the hearts of the savage natives would be used instead, but we must make do with what we have." I am disappointed in you. You cannot have eroded the ground, that’s not how it works. But not to worry, I will clear up this situation once I am finished with these... 'formalities'. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Silver Sea Shoreline, Vahki Airship) Ostrox boarded the airship. They clearly weren't within range of the Vahki Hive just yet, or they would have already known who Iradra was through their shared network. Or their plan to- 'You are required to comply with all Metru Nui laws and customs'... These Vahki just came from Metru Nui, where Aurax - supposedly - now ruled. And the way they were speaking, the machines clearly considered the city to be safe territory. Which meant Aurax was already deposed, or... 'Obedience is happiness...' "Oh, before I forget… what is the current status of Lords Pridak and Ehlek?" @Eyru@Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Navu (Metru-Koro) Navu’s patience had now expired. Did Triage not tell them? "The dead body of Toa Datrox has been in my house for hours now, before the League attack. Murdered by his fellow Toa as part of some demonic ritual. Will someone please do something about it?!" @Tarn@BULiK
  15. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) Ulkarr thought about this. The Skakdi, barbarians that they were, fought each other constantly to establish dominance. These refugees, while a step up, clearly held some parallels. Defeating this one in physical combat may yield positive results. "There is no need, but if you insist..." "You cannot fight here." Lawful spoke up. "This is public property. And we are in the middle of deliberations." "That is irrelevant and we are definitely not." "No." "Yes." "NO." "YES." Ulkarr’s gaze shifted between the two Vahki as they repeatedly contradicted each other, increasing in volume and speed until someone interrupted them. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Silver Sea Shoreline) "Ah, I had missed the improvements we made to this city. Do you want to make the call, or shall I?" @Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Achro (The Coliseum) Achro remembered why he didn’t sleep more often. His subconscious wasn’t overly fond of him. Well, he supposed he should find the new boss and, well, make it clear he was loyal to the position, not who was in it. He could have sided with those impostors who came with them - but they weren’t real Toa. Real Toa didn’t enslave other races. Granted, jury was still out on the spiky variant of Skakdi, but slavery was too good for the frilly ones he knew of. He needed a new mask. The one he wore hadn’t worked in years. He'd ask the boss about it, once he found him... @~Xemnas~@Kal the Guardian IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Northern Gates) Tekmo followed Skorm. "I’m sorry, but what was it that IV just said?" @Keeper of Kraata IC: Navu (Metru-Koro) "Uh, hello." Navu said, as she went up to Nale and Knichou. "I don’t suppose someone can help me with the frozen dead body in my house?" @Tarn@BULiK
  16. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "No. I have no time for mindless, unnecessary violence, as I’m currently being interrogated." "We can take a brief break, if you would like. I can participate." "That will not be necessary." Lawful could not find much else on his father’s murder. Perhaps he could ask the Akiri, once he was feeling better... @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro) "Why thank you Skorm, I’m glad I’m not dead as well." Tekmo smiled at his own joke, and began leading Skorm to the Interceptor. "I parked your vehicle with your robo-helper near the northern gates. I believe things are finally calming down around here. Is there space for one more on your expedition? You know, I’m something of an engineer myself. Perhaps I can help you!" @Keeper of Kraata IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Lobby) "I need to investigate a small group of islands off the south-east coast of the island outside, if that makes sense. I’d go there myself, but it’s a very long way. If you can’t fly me all the way there, then I at least need transportation over the tainted protodermis to solid ground." @Unreliable Narrator
  17. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro, Telepathic Link) "No. I thought we were being civil. Why do you wish to fight me?" Ulkarr sounded genuinely confused. Meanwhile, his other conversation proceeded. You confirmed these rumours… without asking what these rumours were? Reckless began to vibrate slightly at the prospect of physical confrontation. Lawful was still trying to dig through his memory cache for more information on the Nuparu case. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) "Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment. Ideally, Aurax is currently hanging from his neck from the upper-most floor of Dume's penthouse. But an ideal world, this is not. However, since we're entertaining the idea of peace as he is, we may have to refrain from inciting chaos in the streets, as easy as it would be. We haven't the limitless numbers we used to, for some reason." @Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Lobby) Following the Vahki’s directions, Waveahk had retrieved his old laser trident and Zamor Sphere Launcher, complete with the special acidic ammo. This meant he wasn't exactly travelling light, but whatever. He wasn’t going to discard his Xian concussive revolver and Weaken Kanoka Blade anytime soon. Now he was loitering in the Coliseum Lobby, waiting to see if the League wanted him to leave as badly as he did. He’d seen enough of the seat of Matoran power for one lifetime. And he wanted answers. Not for Metru-Koro’s sake. For his own. @Unreliable Narrator@Vezok's Friend@Eyru
  18. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "No. Who is this 'Stannis'?" Both Reckless and Lawful seemed to recall that name, but from where? They couldn’t go back within range of the Hive to access the database, or they’d become pawns of the Barraki again. Reckless seemed to become angrier hearing it, but he didn’t know why. Lawful was able to remember at least one detail. A Toa named Stannis had been involved somehow in the investigation surrounding the assassination of Nuparu - their father. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) Ostrox didn’t much appreciate Iradra following them, but her morose silence was tolerable compared to the self-righteous prattling of Skorm and Oreius. Throwing words around like 'neutral' and 'innocent' while clearly not understanding what they meant. The only reason he and Zaliyah was still alive was so they can maintain their delusion of being heroic, despite championing the God of Tyranny. It wasn’t as if Mata Nui’s true nature was a secret, it was blindingly obvious to anyone paying attention. Did they think the entire universe rose up against them on a whim? Only the fact that he existed was a surprise. He knew the peace wouldn't last. Once the Skakdi and the Sphere had been dealt with it was only a matter of time before the halflings wanted things they didn't want to work to achieve. And the League would have to do the heavy lifting, wouldn't they? Serves them right for daring to rebel against their rightful masters! Who cared if Mata Nui was as much a charlatan as they were? Judging from their subdued reactions in the infirmary, THEY CERTAINLY DIDN'T. "Remind me why you're tagging along, again?" He asked Iradra. "I think we're quite capable of getting home ourselves." Special emphasis was placed on 'home' to make a point of who ran 'the City of Legends'. @Onaku@Nato the Traveler
  19. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "Not at all. Ask." Lawful turned his attention to Kanohi, who seemed to be in a state of distress. Reckless’s attention was squarely on Ulkarr. @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) "Well, everything seems to be in hand." Give or take a few hundred corpses. "Shall we get going?" @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  20. IC: Ulkarr, Enra, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro, Telepathic Link) "I am willing to cooperate with your inquiries… within reason." "Define 'reason'." "Reason. Noun - a cause, explanation, or justification-" "Not you." "I will answer your questions truthfully. Whether or not you agree with the truth is your issue. I reserve the right to defend myself and those who rely upon me from unnecessary harm." Even as Ulkarr spoke aloud, he communicated through more secretive and unconventional means to those who relied on him. Booodeee… what precisely did you tell them regarding Ramaka’s… donation? Meanwhile, Enra tried to covertly scratch her unmentionables while Xane and Zadred discussed real-estate. @Harvali@The UltimoScorp@Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) "Right then!" Ostrox clasped his hands together. "If we’re not taking Air Fundamentalist, we’ll need to find some other way of getting across the Moat. The Tranquility will never fly again thanks to Skorm and his harem." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Remains of Sans’s Hut) Wonderful. A potential ally, turned away because the good guys treated him like a criminal. Granted, it sounded like he had his own personal quest of finding his daughter, but it’s clear that Knichou and Vulimai hadn’t endeared themselves to him. Druu had left before Tekmo could apologize on their behalf. Evil despots. Government conspiracies. Nonsensical vandals. Attempted assassinations. Undead plague. War crimes. Universal catastrophe. Enigmatic entities. Swamp monsters. Poisonous light. Jovial warmongers. Unsubstantiated paranoia. Tekmo was reaching his limit as to what he could put up with. He threw his hands up in the air. He wasn’t joking earlier - he legitimately did not have time for this, nor time to go after Vulimai and tell him Druu was leaving. He went to find wherever Skorm went off to, see if he still wanted to leave this place. Not that he could blame him for it anymore... @Keeper of Kraata
  21. IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) "Thank you." Ostrox says, with absolute sincerity. "After we deal with the usurper, we need to find that Krom Sphere. It may still be under the Coliseum, behind all that collapsed rubble, but that place has... unusual properties. I’m still not sure how to explain it. I don’t think Mazor has it on him. If he did, he’d have been staring at it as if it were his firstborn son or something when I saw him here… now that I think about it, where did the Nynrah Ghosts find it in the first place? They obviously didn’t make it, the Sphere is beyond any Matoran’s ability to create, mad scientist or not." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Remains of Sans’s Hut) Tekmo turns to Vulimai. "He has a point. We can’t try him for things he might have done, and arresting people who've tried to help us for past allegiances isn’t an incentive for other potential allies to do the same. You didn't incarcerate Waveahk, after all." He then immediately swerved from genuine advisement to biting sarcasm. "Besides, I don’t have time to question this man. I have to give myself a PRRROMOTION!" He yells, loud enough for Knichou and Nale to hear, in a deliberately over-the-top fashion. He rests his left hand on his chest, and a golden-yellow flower spurts out in the place where a medal might be. "There. I’m a lieutenant-colonel now. That’s how it works, apparently." @Sparticus147@Onaku@BULiK@Tarn
  22. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "She was in excruciating pain due to injuries received during a Skakdi raid on Po-Koro. Clearly, she could not wait for this supposed 'healer' to arrive." "Are there any witnesses who can corroborate your claim?" "Bode." "Aside from the suspect." "Unless Ramaka returns to us, no." "How convenient." @The UltimoScorp@Harvali@Onaku IC: Ostrox (Outskirts of Metru-Koro) "Perhaps. But the opportunity to back out was all the way back at the recruiting office." Ostrox paused for a bit before adding an addendum. "You must understand that I didn’t tell you about Mazor and Mata Nui earlier because… well, I feared your resolve would shatter. I’m glad to be proven wrong, though." @Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Remains of Sans’s Hut) Tekmo stared incredulously at Knichou for a second before regaining his composure. "First of all, he was on the ship we boarded, though perhaps he was rather forgettable compared to the four-armed fellow with a limited grasp of the Matoran language who turned into a giant. Second of all, I thought that was a joke. You cannot promote yourself, that’s not how it works! Third of all, refer to the first." @BULiK@Onaku@Sparticus147 IC: Buggy (Outskirts of Tobduk-Koro) Patrolling the boundary of Tobduk-Koro, NU-8025S - or Buggy - chattered mindlessly to himself. "Traveller - Traveller - T - Tra - Travel - Traveller - Trav-"
  23. IC: Ulkarr, Enra, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) If Ulkarr was in any way worried, he didn’t show it. "Murder is an inaccurate descriptor. The one called Ramaka outright demanded that her suffering be ended. A tragedy, to be certain, but what manner of power could have saved her, precisely? All methods that I know of were presently unavailable. Bode merely salvaged the best he could out of an unfortunate situation." Lawful began to calculate whether or not this constituted as a confession. Reckless was waiting for the order to arrest this entity, even if it seemed like the Akiri wouldn't give it. Meanwhile… "I’m Enra. Zadred, was it? Well…" She turned to Xane. "I did say we might find some of your friends along the way, eh?" Trying to make it sound as if she had forseen this turn of events. @Harvali@The UltimoScorp@Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Remains of Sans’s Hut) 'War hero'? Odd choice of words. Were they not conspiring to remove him from office just five minutes ago? "Come now, captain. This man aided us aboard the enemy vessel. Surely, there’s no reason we can’t be civil about this." @BULiK@Sparticus147@Onaku
  24. IC: Ulkarr, Enra, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) "They are small pouches in clothing used to hold small items on a person, for the sake of convenience." Lawful helpfully answered. Reckless did something that could only be described as a mechanical eye roll. Ulkarr had no response, merely waiting for his question to be answered. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the village… "Uh, this seems like a personal moment. Should I need to leave, or…?" @Onaku@Harvali@The UltimoScorp@Onaku IC: Ostrox and Navu (Metru-Koro, Outside the Village Infirmary) Ostrox looked out at the devastation before him. Not his finest work, he’d admit. He identified the guilt he was feeling from failing to see this cesspit’s annihilation through, not from sympathy for these parasites. Certainly not. Absolutely not. The very idea was ridiculous. Seeing the purple smiling one come out, Navu quickly scampered off to the other side of the building. Hearing the sound of sand shuffling, Ostrox’s head snapped towards the source of the sound, but it was already gone. Ridiculous... @Onaku@Nato the Traveler@Sparticus147 IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, Remains of Sans’s Hut) The Turaga was dead? A bizarre turn of fortune, one Tekmo didn’t know how to feel about. The rule in the Toa Code against killing was, as he knew by now, one that only applied when it was convenient. In war, it was necessary to kill in order to win, or even to survive. Besides, the forces of the League deserved it. But killing them was a necessary evil. But they deserved it. But it was an evil. But they deserved it. But it was an evil- He shook his head rapidly, as if to shake off this dissonant feeling. @BULiK@Sparticus147
  25. IC: Ulkarr, Reckless and Lawful (Tobduk-Koro) As if summoned by mere talk of his name, Ulkarr arrived in Tobduk-Koro. Recognizing Kanohi, he made his way to where he was. The Vahki were quick to register his presence. "Unknown entity detected." "Halt. Identify yourself." "I am Ulkarr. I believe this is where the settlement of Po-Koro has resettled?" @Harvali@The UltimoScorp IC: Ostrox and Navu (Metru-Koro, Village Infirmary) Ostrox felt as if he were going to be sick. He could point out how Mata Nui clearly couldn’t be dead, and how the fate of the universe relied on Matorankind either dying off or having their faith broken, but it was unlikely they’d listen to him. The first option had failed, and since they weren’t going to prosecute Mazor for his crimes against the universe, they clearly weren’t going to disclose the fact that their religion was a sham, so your average halfling was still going to believe in the 'benevolence' of a creature that despised the concept of anything except himself having free will. For now, he could only humour them, and pretend to be considering their words. Which was easy, because he was. As difficult as it was to divorce the messenger from the message, even in a book of lies sometimes you find truth. Who knows? Even if they had to keep the Matoran masses ignorant - no real change there - they might stand a better chance of enduring what was coming by cooperating. The only problem now was Aurax. The usurper’s reign would be brief, yet not brief enough. Navu didn’t know how to feel about all of this. But she’d still listen in regardless... @Eyru@Sparticus147@Conway@Tarn@Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo (Silver Sea Shoreline, Rickshaw) "Marvelous!" Tekmo took his seat on Knichou’s rickshaw next to Vulimai, and held on tight, as warned. "I just hope the situation back at Metru-Koro isn't too awful..." @BULiK@Sparticus147 IC: Enra (Outskirts of Tobduk-Koro) "Well, let’s go have a gander." Enra began leading the way towards the Ruins of Stone, and thus the village. Specifically, the part where Zadred was... @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
