  1. "The Dark Side of the Moon" by Paul Lovatt-Cooper
  2. Matoro. He was the only character in all of G1 that I could connect with.
  3. If I had the extra time, I would love to do some fan compositions for BIONICLE! But if I had to choose, I would go with either Julie Giroux (check out "Before the Sun" and "Bookmarks from Japan"), John Mackey (see "Aurora Awakes" and "Harvest: Concerto for Trombone"), Frank Tichelli ("Angels in the Architecture"), Gavin Greenaway ("Reflections of Earth"), and the Bluecoats ("TILT" and "Brave New World").
  4. Am I the only one who wants instructions to build these, as well as the 3D file to print out the prototype heads? (Which shouldn't be too much of a hassle, seeing as the parts never made it past the prototype stage.) These are really cool. They are slightly creepy, which is to be expected with a name like "Voodoo Heads," but not overly creepy. I do understand that children might be uncomfortable with the faces. The functions are REALLY cool, especially that they seem to be mostly rubber band- or motor-driven, instead of the gears systems we've seen in G1 and G2. I love seeing where BIONICLE came from.
  5. I'll be getting Skull Warrior. It has a nice amount of the trans-light blue pieces, the new bone pieces, the new add-on pieces, the gear function, not one but TWO different weapons (a bow/stud lanucher and a blade), a cool new mask, and the gold/trans-light blue Mask of Ice. For only $14.99 USD.
  6. First, I am going to apologize if this in the wrong part of the forum. I'm still relatively new here. Second, I am also new to the CCBS system. I recently got Onua, but I don't know how to describe the parts, or what they're called. What is this kind of part called? And this? And lastly, this?
  7. At my local Target, I found Onua on sale for $9.98 USD (bought it since it was the last one, and my first G2 set!). The others were at their normal prices.
  8. My first G2 BIONICLE is Onua (got him for $9.98 USD!).
  9. My first G1 set was Takadox. I didn't know what exactly what he was, but he was cool-looking, he was blue (my favourite colour), and I remember I had to convince my dad to buy the set by showing him the LEGO logo on the canister (he probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for that). I have yet to get a first G2 set. Debating between Kopaka and Skull Warrior (mostly because of the price tags).
  10. The Masters are getting probably upgrades. Personally, I'd like to see the designs on the masters' chest to be printed on the shells and masks. They're neat designs and they add to a more tribal feel, which I like (can we get them on t-shirts?). New armor molds would be nice, and I'm glad we're getting a new one in the summer wave. Also, Lewa could have more neck articulation. New weapons would be nice; I'm just not sure how they should upgrade each master. More trans colours for bones and eyes. And a price drop. I get that plastic is not as cheap as it once was, but $20 for a single toa is definitely pushing it (which is also why I haven't bought any G2 sets yet). If they were all $15, that'd be more reasonable, considering they all have around 90 pieces (except Onua and Pohatu, the biggest and smallest). Or we could just get a big tub/box of parts and LEGO would let us upgrade the existing toa to our hearts' content.
  11. Personally, I think this reboot has a TON of potential. Unfortunately, I feel LEGO is not using it. As some of you mentioned, there is next to no background information, leaving us wondering details that probably should have been spelled out by now. This could very well change in the new novels that are being released this year, as well as with the upcoming summer storyline. Also, notice the Games tab on the official website and notice the word "Games". Is there more to come? And the Okoto section is essentially useless. But other than that, the sets look great, and I hope to get my first G2 set soon (AKA I'm cheap and have no money).
  12. Am I the only one who noticed the broken ball-and-socket joint below the Vahi?
