  1. I'd say, "What's up?" If they glare at me or shoot lasers out of their noses or something, I'll run! XD What would you do if you woke up to Vezon in your face?
  2. *notes how you put only Batman actors for Pohatu* Ooo, Jackie Chan as Lewa? Interesting, interesting. I really want to see this now. Jeremy Renner as Kopaka? Time for an Age of Ultron parody... Gali: This doesn't make any sense! Kopaka: The city's in ruins. We're fighting reanimated skeletons, and I have a shield that turns into skis. Nothing makes sense.
  3. Yes. That's a top-notch idea. Anyone think Robert Downey Jr. would make a good Matau? or maybe a Pohatu? or (based on his performance in Natural Born Killers), a maniac Vezon. Hmmm. I'm not sure which one would suit him best. If all else fails, Russell Brand could make a good Vezon. In my opinion, RDJ is best suited as Kopaka. After all, he played another calm, calculating genius... Iron Man. Oh, and Sherlock Holmes, too. As for Vezon, Mark Hamill. *drops mic*
  4. Strange, you'd expect Makuta to be the one with the limited imagination since he created the mask of ultimate power because everyone hated his plain masks, yet the villager & protector masks all fit Makuta's style of simple looking masks. They're probably his. Maybe while Ekimu was asleep, most folks lost their Ekimu-made masks and had to resort to wearing Makuta's more minimalist masks.
  5. Nel should have been a dragon. Ake is very cool though. I love the build.
  6. Indeed. My G2 Bionicle collection woudn't be growing exponentially if it wasn't for the sets being constantly on sale online and in brick and mortar stores, so I guess for the time being it's working out well for me. I even have a Makuta custom already on my villian shelf, ready to occupy the central spot for good if the line ends up being cut short without his royal shadowness ever getting a G2 set. Oh cool, I have one too! MIne's the Mask Maker version, seeing as I doubt that we'll get to see a set of Makuta in that form at this point. LEGO rarely cancels themes before their cut-off dates though, so expect Titan Makuta next year.
  7. My Walmart has outright not had a spot on the shelf marked out for Bionicle sets since it sold off the last of its 2015 stock. The only exception was when a few copies of Tahu Uniter and Ikir showed up briefly, the latter already on sale for 50 percent off. That strikes me as highly unusual for a line that is supposedly selling "well enough." Factor in that every singe set is on sale on Amazon and Walmart.com, and you have a situation that doesn't look promising. Hm, you pose an excellent, albeit saddening point. I think we should at least think of it from a glass-half-full perspective; we can acquire the sets for less. I've personally found SOME bonkles at my WalMart. Yours doesn't have any, that's weird... o_o
  8. Take it with a mountain of salt; Walmart and Target are very unreliable these days when it comes to Bionicle. :I
  9. Yes. Just yes. I agree with this. As for my Sandler idea, I was just joking.
  10. I'm shooting to get Umarak or Ekimu first, they're my favorites. I have yet to collect the entire winter wave, however.
  11. I'm really hoping that it isn't the Mask of Ultimate Power. That would be terribad. Maybe the hunter mask melted a little?
  12. Oh boy, this is great. I love the head design!
  13. Totally forgot about him! I'm fine with that. I like the idea of Hahli + Kongu as a potential Toa of Plant Life. Not sure about those Hagah combiners either. I think the popular opinion would be that they should all have unique masks like every other Toa team. Although I guess they could have just worn those shapes to honor the same Toa that Norik/Iruini did. I like the idea of the Tahu/PoF/Kulta combiner, too. In that case, I suppose the "counterpart" match-ups would be: Tahu vs Skull Grinder Pohatu vs Skull Scorpio Onua vs Skull Basher Lewa vs Skull Slicer Kopaka vs Skull Warrior Gali vs Lord of Skull Spiders Poor Gali has to face the baddie it took all six to defeat. About Gaardus, I think he looks a bit too weird. I like that he is a combiner of six Bionicle Stars, has four arms, four legs, many blades, and pointy wings, but how he is built is strange. I mean, how can he sit on a chair? He would break it if he tries! Anyway, I think that it's a good idea to have Tahu+Takanuva+Gresh=an Order of Mata Nui and Rahkshi+Skrall+Nektann=some Makuta minion. To be honest about the Hagah combiners, I am not sure about them either because of their masks. It could be possible that their masks may look like others to honor their Toa wearers, like how Norik's mask look like a Toa's Kiril mask to honor him. About the Skull Creatures, I get that Skull Grinder has the same red colors as Tahu's while Gali could "wash the spider out" (lol ), but Skull Grinder is so powerful that the power of the six Toa can defeat him. The same may go to the other Skull Creatures, like Skull Basher, even though that he is Ouna's counterpart. Kulta can also absorb the energy that the Creatures could steal from all six Toa's Golden Masks, so it wouldn't be fair for Tahu to take on Kulta like this. I believe there are some Skull Creatures that a Toa could take on alone, however. For example, Kopaka could take on a Skull Warrior when having his mask drained. Anyway, I thought of some new combiners. 1. Uniter Lewa+Akida+Umarak the Hunter+Quake Beast (green parts only)=Lewa's Beast counterpart. 2. Uniter Pohatu+Ketar+Umarak the Destroyer+Lava Beast=Pohatu's Beast counterpart. 3. (This is going to be crazy) Kane-Ra+Muaka+Tarakava+Nui-Rama+Nui-Juju=Rahi Nui. I know this is crazy, but that thing is like Frankenstein, being composed with parts of other Rahi animals, so it would be easier to work with. I think you mean Nui-Jaga. XD Joking aside, I love those ideas. I'll definitely try to make a Lewa enemy like you suggested, as well as a Pohatu enemy. Welp, there goes my wallet. I also really like the Rahi-Nui idea. That could have and should have been a thing.
  14. As already stated, it's highly doubtful that Lego would discontinue Bionicle so early. As for the quote above, that statement bothers me. G2 is not the Bionicle we all grew up with. It's a different entity entirely. So if children don't like this version of Bionicle, it doesn't mean they wouldn't have liked the original. No no this isn't what I meant by that statement, I have a sister who is in year 1, she loves looking at my Ninjago and Bionicle collections, and I always ask her "do your friends know what Bionicle is" and she always replies with the same thing "no they've never heard of it", now it was around her age I first heard of Bionicle and started collecting it, every single one of my friends knew what Bionicle was and all owned at least one set. Now let's face it, the highest selling age group is the younger age group that pesters their parents for the sets, and if my sisters friends (who many are boys) haven't even heard of Bionicle yet at the age of 8 well I don't know what Lego is doing wrong this time around, because back when I was in primary school every man and his dog had at least one Bionicle set.... Oh and your last statement "it doesn't mean they wouldn't have liked the original", there are at least 60 kids in my sisters year and not 1 of them have heard of Bionicle but know what Ninjago is, this in itself is troubling to me. Subpar marketing. That's the issue. :/ Plus, Ninjago is just too good to compete with.
  15. *sniff* That. Was. Beautiful. I find this poem very symbolic and philosophical, and I can tell that a lot of thought went in to it. Well done, Soran.
  16. What if he could get Jack Nicholson to voice Karzahni? But, other than that, I tremble when I think of Sandler at the helm. HEEEEEEERRRE'S KARZAHNI! XD Joking aside, Jack Nicholson would be flippin' awesome as Karzahni. Or perhaps Vezon...
  17. I think this pretty much means that BIONICLE is doing really well in Europe, but about average-to-meh in America. Even though it probably won't be available where I live, I'm super pumped for this magazine! I can't wait to see the mini-Skull Scorpio, it'll probably be adorable yet spooky. :3
  18. That's pretty cool! My favorite part is the head design.
  19. Kopaka's pretty chill too. Not in the nice-to-hang-with sense (as we all know, he dislikes working with others), but he's just so level-headed... until Tahu shows up, that is. Those two only really got along towards the end of Ignition. I kind of like the idea of the Toa being seen as gods, only for that to turn out as a complete misconception on the Matoran's part. Just imagine this: Hafu: What did I do, o great Pohatu? A rockslide has crushed my latest masterpiece! Am I displeasing you? Pohatu: Wasn't me! Keep doing your thing, buddy.
  20. Umarak The Hunter is probably my favorite of G2. As for G1... I dunno. When I was little, Mata Nui was a favorite of mine, and he still is. Yeah, I'm going with Mata Nui here.
  21. Given how his recent films have gone, I'd probably straight up cry upon seeing "Bionicle: The Movie - Starring Adam Sandler" on a poster. He might actually work as a comic relief character, such as Lewa or Kongu. If he were to play Kopaka, however, I'd facepalm hard enough to put a hand-shaped dent in my face. Considering his infamous recent movies, I honestly cannot tell if you're being serious, ironic or engaging in lighthearted trolling. Admittedly hotel transylvania was apparently okay (well according to some reviewers I've seen) but I don't think the sort of acting he does there could even properly fit in Bionicle. Not to mention the fact that his inclusion would paint a target on the movie for every movie reviewer and internet critic in the universe. I wouldn't even want him playing comic relief... he's just not funny anymore. Hey, I said might. Now, as for a better comedic actor: How 'bout David Tennant? He can be serious when needed, but very funny at times as well. He gave an excellent performance as the 10th Doctor, and I'm sure he could pull off most Bionicle protagonists, especially Lewa. No, wait-- What if he played NUPARU?
  22. Most of mine are on display, and the others are taken apart and/or in boxes. Hopefully I can put up shelves; otherwise, some of my sets will have to get the ax to make room for future acquisitions.
  23. Maybe it's ending, maybe it isn't. Who knows. The sad thing is, if it does end, it's probably going to be gone for good this time.
