  1. IC: Lohe Mahina - Blackskull's Office Lohe stared at the liquid that Blackskull poured into his cup. Each time he popped another cube of sugar, he looked at the man across from him. One. Two. Three. That was an above average amount of sugar to intake. The man was a sweet tooth. Probably had higher than average blood sugar content. A man built of quality material. "Do you have coffee?" Lohe asked, his eyes falling back into a sleepy torpor. IC: Jamie Arthur - Prism Tower “You got me, it all happened so fast,” she said, crossing her arms and closing her eyes, and generally trying to look thoughtful. “We were fighting the Instances ourselves, so I was not paying much attention when they transformed.” “That lady’s Magnezone I think transformed first. Then Uncle Lance showed up looking completely different from normal. And then Ryan’s Tyranitar transformed. I remember seeing rainbows covering them when they transformed.” IC: James Arthur - Route 4 James stood still, with a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face. A barreling body charged at him. It grew closer and closer, but James did not move. The mass threw itself at James, with an arm raised to strike him. With great speed, Lancelot intercepted the attack. The blow bounced off the Scizor’s body, leaving him no worse for wear. But also, not transformed. “Still nothing,” James scratched his head, trying to massage out some sort of answer to what the answer. An hour had passed with absolutely no progress. His latest idea recalled that James had been in danger when the transformation happened. So Gawain was called upon to be their artificial source of danger. The Swampert had been confused, but he agreed if it would help. Sadly, it did not. “Why, can I not get this to work?” James said. Celebi was laying on a branch, looking down at the proceedings, with a vague air of amusement. James wasn’t going to find his answer. Not here, at any rate. She hadn’t figured out the solution, but she had figured out the problem. The same problems he always had. Too bad, she couldn’t tell him. No telepathy was a pain. James bit his lip and clenched his right fist. He had promised a lot to set up this meeting, and he didn’t have it. “There is nothing else for it,” James said, taking a deep breath to try and calm himself. “If we do not have it, we do not have it.” Lancelot reacted similarly to his master. The Scizor could remember the feeling of the transformation, visualize it in his head, but could not fathom the answer. IC: Guinevere/Natalie - Celadon City Guinevere looked at the entrance to the building before her with some trepidation. She’d only been there a couple of times, during James’s tenure with Rocket. And humans paid more attention to their own kind than to Pokémon. Still, the worry that she might be recognized by somebody. That would prove inconvenient. Natalie walked up behind Guinevere, holding the Gardevoir's Poké Ball in hand. With her free hand, she tested her newly dyed hair while still out of sight. "This could probably be a little more worn or something, but it's the best I could do on short notice." The woman said quietly to Guinevere as she eyed the building herself. "Not a perfect disguise and relies on some assumptions and not having seen Yuki recently, but… I think it works for what I remember of seeing them in the past." It was about as good as Guinevere could’ve hoped for, but that was a very low bar to clear. As long as they kept the conversation short, Guinevere figured they should be fine. If she had telepathy, she would’ve had more options, but this was the best they had. The pair started walking towards the entrance. The reception’s decor was as sterile as could be achieved without mass quantities of sanitizer. The walls were bare save for a black and white analog clock. The only object of note was the giant ‘R’ on the floor, the sole reminder of who owned the government. The receptionist’s bright-eyed look was a contrast to the bland state of the room. The man had a bright smile shining through a well trimmed beard, as if it had been hand-picked to sell his organization to anyone who walked in. “Welcome to Team Rocket’s local government branch,” he said with a voice much too cheery for a government employee. “How may I help you today?” Guinevere stood to a side, leaning on her crutch and on the counter. All she could do right now was watch. "I'm here to visit Gerald Hikari." Natalie said with a smile as she approached the desk. She did her best to keep her story straight in her head - it wasn't hard since she knew Yuki from before, but she hoped things worked. “Visitation, I see,” the receptionist said while opening up a window on his computer. “Are you immediate family? If not, you will have to wait to be put on a list of approved visitors.” "Yes, I'm his daughter." “I see, I see,” the man said nodding, clicking and typing on the computer. “We can get you verified pretty quick. Get you on your way. Could I get a name please?” "My name is Yuki Hikari." Natalie gave a polite smile, as it -was- the name they used almost exclusively in the old days. “Yuki… Hikari,” he said punching in keys. Guinevere tightened her hold on the crutch. If this didn’t work, they would be delayed for a while. “Let’s see… oh,” he said looking away from the screen and up and down at Natalie. “Ah um, sorry, your records must be out of date. Would you like to update your ID today, ma’am?” "Oh, thank you, but that's okay. I still have some things I need to prepare for that." Natalie gave a thankful smile at the politeness of the man. “Ah, I see. We’ll be glad to set that up when you’re ready,” he said, writing down a note to remind “Yuki Hikari” of her appointment to update her records. “Let me check the status of your father, so we can get the ball rolling.” Guinevere didn’t sigh with relief, but she was relieved. The plan should work from here. “Huh,” the receptionist said scratching his beard. Thought too soon? “I’m sorry ma’am, but your father seems to have been extradited to Unova. I can look up where his destination was, but he’s not in the country anymore,” he said, making a frown that was as bright as his smile. "That would be great." Natalie had briefly frowned at the first mention, but then smiled when the receptionist offered a solution. The Gardevoir feigned a frown. Really easily because it was mightily inconvenient but still feigned because they knew that going it. “Okay, so your father was sent… straight to the capital. Black City, direct flight. You’ll need to go there if you’ll want to see your father,” he said turning the screen around for the pair to see. Natalie quickly read the details - that Gerald arrived at Chroma County's jail roughly two weeks earlier. She quickly memorized the important stuff as best as she could and gave a pleasant smile. "Alright, thank you so much." The receptionist turned the monitor back around. “Are you going to try and visit right away? We can set up a time to update your passport right now if you want.” "Thank you again, but that's alright. I think it's going to be a while before that's ready, sadly. But thank you for the offer." Natalie flashed a smile, as she was admittedly impressed by this receptionist. “Well when you’re ready,” he said pulling out a business card and a pen. “Just call us with this number… here,” he said circling the relevant phone number. "Alright. Thank you again so much." Natalie took the business card once he held it out and smiled. "Have a nice day!" The receptionist waved a good-bye, with that same salesman smile he had greeted them with. Guinevere followed Natalie out of the building. That… went as well as possible. Like, seriously, no horrible incident? Guinevere would be disappointed if it weren’t so gosh darn convenient. She almost forgot what doing something without something going terribly wrong felt like.
  2. IC: Jamie Arthur - Prism Tower "Ooh! Ooh! OOOH! Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!" Jamie said raising her hand. There was a lot of hero things that happened there. She didn’t even know what Clemont was suggesting and she wanted in. Beat up Instances? Build suits of armor? Whatever that thing James and Lance did? “I was at One Island! Pick me!”
  3. IC: Jamie Arthur - Prism Tower Jamie looked at Lucia with a bit of confusion until she remembered that a few years ago was not the same eternity to Lucia that it was to her. She wanted to stop thinking about that, so she started talking. "Man, you know a whole bunch of people, Lucia," Jamie said. It was her first time even hearing about the Kalosian Gym Leader, much less meeting him. "He tried to help you battle? Like, by teaching you or something?" IC: Guinevere - Celadon mansion That name struck a chord with Guinevere. The photograph once again appeared in her mind. It was still not solid evidence, but the name Patrick was now etched into her mind. She decided to hold off on mentioning it. Guinevere didn't want to diminish Natalie's use as a witness by coloring her perceptions. The length of time Natalie had been searching for her friend's number was disheartening, but it was good to hope. She began to write instructions to Natalie on what she needed to say when they got to the Rocket base, and some cover story ideas. For example: she was to pretend Guinevere was her Pokemon, if asked. Partially to seem less suspicious, but mostly so she wouldn't be the one to have to do the 'talking'. IC: Lohe Mahina - Blackskull’s office Lohe shielded his eyes for a moment from the rays of sunlight that came into the room. He was rather regretting going with the name that sounded like it would have a darker office. He took a seat and promptly slouched in it. “Well I’m putting in an appearance, as per the instructions of my government,” he said with a monotone voice. “Got some questions they’d like answered.” He remembered the yelling he got from the last people he questioned. Blackskull seemed friendly enough, but he doubted he was gonna enjoy Lohe’s questions either. “I got a few of them answered by one of your agents. Saves you the trouble of answering them at least.” His fingers began to absentmindedly rub one of the seashell ornaments on the desk. “They’re taking heart at the news from One Island,” he said as he gave a half-hearted effort to correct his posture. “The news that some Pokemon were spotted with their powers again is good. However, they want to be assured that something like that whole de-powering thing, can’t happen again.” And here was the part that he hadn’t discussed with Sonja. “And to be frank, they’d like it from the Rapidash’s mouth.” IC: Ryan’s Cell Pokegear As if responding to Ryan’s musing, his phone rang once again. IC: Claus Diamond - Alamo front lobby An announcement rang out calling Zack Furler to the receptionist. He wasn’t on a mission was all he was able to glean. He had to hope that Zack was still on the island, and not taking a vacation or something like that. Claus Diamond rubbed Porky’s belly as he waited. The Tepig on his side with a content smile on his face in response to Claus’s fingers. He read through the records on his father time and again, barely registering Porky. His senses dulled to approaching footsteps. “Are you Diamond’s kid?” a voice asked. Claus looked up to see a man looking down at him. The face that looked down at him, reminded Claus of what his dad told him Team Galactic's leader looked like, with only the smile looking at of place. “I am.” Claus didn’t need to tell Zack why he wanted to speak with him. “You want to talk about your parents?” he asked as he sat down next to Claus “Yes.” “Alright. Let’s talk.” IC: James Arthur - Route 4 James stood some ways outside the Tide Song hotel. To the east was a path often used by trainers. With his Scizor by his side, he might've seemed like an ordinary trainer, going off to train and challenge any trainer that came his way. For fun or glory, what would it matter? But his training had a completely different purpose. He had to activate an ability that no one knew was even possible. They hadn’t had time to practice the transformation since One Island. They would need it soon. "So..." James mentioned, not really having any idea how to start. "Try transforming," he said awkwardly. Hoping he was alone. James may as well have said solve a three-body problem, for all the sense that made to Lancelot. The transformation just sorta.... happened. "Right. We never have an easy time," James said, pinching the bridge of his nose. He felt a bit frustrated that he even suggested it would. "Alright, any ideas, short of re-creating the conditions of the situation?” A transformation that forced them to be the brink of death to be used would be… impractical at the least. A part of him wished Amanda had not worked herself to death the day prior. James wanted to compare notes with her about the transformation. Lancelot spun and twirled to create the ethereal swords of Swords Dance. They were two one-handed swords before him. Not the one great claymore he had wielded against the samurai. He saw a sapling before him. Without a sound, he tore through it. As the dead tree fell to the ground, it confirmed that his abilities were not mere hallucinations. Celebi popped out of her Ultra Ball on seeing that, and gave the Scizor a disapproving glare at the pointless waste of forest life. A light bulb lit in James’s eyes. It occurred to James he had not sought ancient knowledge on this subject. “Celebi, have you seen anything resembling a Scizor evolving further, temporarily?” The question seemed to frustrate the time traveler. M0 was a cancer to the timeline. This transformation was a complete anomaly to it. And without her power, she couldn’t check how the timelines had been altered. She hadn’t seen it before. Not to say that it couldn’t have existed before M0, but not in any timeline she had traveled through. “Not even you?” James said, gritting his teeth. Team Liberty needed him to produce results with today's meeting. With everything that happened in the previous mission, Liberty needed this alliance and soon.
  4. IC: Jamie Arthur - Lumiose City "Are they taking challenges?" Jamie asked, thinking about those Pokemon that would be suitable to fight. Pelleas and Tristan were the only ones really suited to fighting without their powers. "Meh, let's go anyway," she said. Anything to get out of this plane already. IC: James Arthur - Heahea City James was satisfied by Evan's answer. The rest of the flight passed uneventfully. James nearly drifted off a few times during the remainder. Part of sleepiness, and partly out of boredom. He held himself together as the flight touched ground, but he needed sleep. The trip to their hotel was likewise uneventful. Making a second reservation at the Tide Song hotel had been difficult considering the time of year they had picked for their visit, but doable. The man at the front desk handed him two keys. He spotted the ring on her finger and decided to assume a relationship. That saved him asking an awkward question. He handed one of the room keys to Evan. "Might I ask what you intend to do tomorrow? I will be in a meeting tomorrow afternoon." IC: Guinevere - Celadon mansion A family friend? That phrase reminded Guinevere of the photo she had seen earlier. She erased the board quickly while the other topic was still on their minds.
  5. IC: Jamie Arthur - Plane arriving in Kalos “He’s what a hero should be,” she said cracking an imitation of Evan’s smile. “He’s strong, cool, and he’s there for people when they need them.” IC: James Arthur - Plane en route to Alola First name basis. James still wasn’t used to hearing his first name being used casually like that. “That matches what I have read,” James said. Most of what Evan had said was publically available knowledge. But it was good to have it confirmed again. “I was wondering if you knew about their personalities. What they are actually like.” IC: Guinevere - Celadon mansion Guinevere recalled the document she had read again. The word victim was seared into her mind. [Who are his enemies? Past and present] She had another idea while she was writing the words on the board. After making sure Natalie saw them, she wrote another set of words. [Can you take me to the Rocket branch in Celadon?]
  6. IC: Lohe Mahina - Four Island Lohe walked with what one could assume qualified for vigor by his standards to get out of the setting sun’s rays. Waking early was always a pain, but it was hard to talk to people when they were asleep. Entering the Alamo traded one annoyance for another. The stomping of feet thundered in his ears as he walked towards the front desk. If he had thought waiting a day would have eased the difficulty of meeting with the higher-ups, he was wrong. If anything, the frantic atmosphere had worsened since the day before. He got redirected from the front desk, to a personal secretary of one of the leaders. He submitted his credentials to her and was prompted to wait. Thankfully, he still had time to speak with somebody in charge. There probably wasn’t anything he was going to learn from them that he hadn’t already learned from his conversation with Sonja, but the burden of being a representative meant he had to keep up appearances and all.
  7. IC: James Arthur - Plane en route to Alola A slight bump in the air prompted James to take the seat in the aisle across from them, rather than lose his balance if more turbulence occurred. "I was wondering how much you knew about Team Plasma's leadership. Specifically the old leadership. From the time before they became a legitimate government. Ghetsis, N and Colress."
  8. IC: Mordred - Vert's Cell As Mordred moved to follow Xander, Vert glanced down at the Weavile, acknowledging his presence for the first time this entire meeting. "Not so fast, Morty." She held a hand out. "Don't think I didn't see you." The Weavile felt insulted. The insinuation that he was a thief just because he's a Weavile was degrading. He revealed his claws to show that he was holding absolutely nothing. Vert stared at Mordred's face, then his hands, then his face again, before turning away with a shake of her head. "If I find anything out of place after you leave, I'm billing your trainer for damages. Just so you know." The Weavile turned and lazily waved goodbye. He'd add "and good riddance," or some witty remark but not being able to speak the human's language would probably leave it lost in translation. The Weavile followed Xander out of the room and as far around the first corner away from Vert's office. It was there that they parted. As Xander turned to leave, Mordred's claw quietly moved near the trainer's back pocket. Seriously, the nerve of that woman. Calling him a thief, Mordred thought as he started walking home. Just because it was accurate doesn't mean it didn't hurt, he thought looking at the little figurine in his hand.
  9. IC: Mordred - Vert's Cell Mordred stared at Vert from behind Xander. He noticed that the agent had messed with the Hollow Caster, but he was more focused on Vert. His opinion of her hadn't changed, but this wasn't a side of her the Weavile thought James knew about. He scratched his head and his chin in thought. Well, hopefully the trainer had gotten what he needed, because Mordred wanted out of there.
  10. IC: Mordred - Vert's Cell Hoo boy. That first question. Mordred stopped breathing. Not out of nervousness, but he really'd rather not be noticed right now as James's representative. And because he had shifted a couple feet, but mostly because he wanted to stay out of this conversation.
  11. IC: Guinevere - Celadon Mansion Guinevere paused. That was a complicated question. It's true that she had a gut feeling that something was off. But the evidence at the scene still pointed to Cassie as the likely suspect. She didn't want to commit one way or the either. Guinevere considered lying to ensure cooperation, but that would cause problems if Natalie found out. IC: Jamie Arthur - Airplane Jamie awoke with a start when Lucia started speaking to her. She had been dozing off at different points during the flight. She more or less got the gist of what Lucia asked though. She grinned as she fondled the rock on the end of the necklace. "This is the shard of Dialga's sacred orb, the testament of a true hero!" she shouted like she knew what she was talking about and it was normal to shout on a plane. She calmed down for a moment after getting that out of her system. "Evan gave it to me." IC: James Arthur - On a plane The executive sat near Evan and Jenny. He looked over to the pair from where he was sitting. A thought had occurred to him which caused him to stand up and walk over to them. When he reached them, he noticed Jenny had fallen asleep. "Oh, I see she has fallen asleep," he said to Evan. "I was hoping I could ask the two of you a couple questions about Team Plasma."
  12. IC: Mordred - Vert's Cell The Weavile studied the room a bit more. He was paying almost no attention to Vert. Mordred already knew he she was bad news. Maybe the boy would be more interesting. Right now, Vert's desk was the most interesting thing in the room. On top of the desk were several small models. The looked like those big buckets and trashcans that James wore to make him actually able to fight. Not like his specifically though. Among them were a pink one, a brown one, and a gray one. His eyes stopped on that one. That was the one that the girl was wearing. The look-a-like. James was fond of her, right? IC: Guinevere - Celadon mansion Guinevere meant that sincerely, but couldn’t help but try to parse Natalie’s words for clues. She chewed on the information that Natalie’s mother had been in jail and that Stacy had got herself involved somehow. Still, Natalie’s words did not betray a motive, nor was it a particularly odd reason for her to get involved. It was more reason than Guinevere had.
  13. IC: Mordred - Vert's Suite Supposedly, Mordred's job was to remember everything that was going on here. Make sure the agent made good on the deal or something. The Weavile, however had a few other ideas. Supplementary ideas, if you'd like. He stood to the side of the room, so Vert would have to split her attention between the two of them. If Xander and Vert had a lively conversation, well Mordred might take the chance to see what he could get. IC: Claus Diamond/Richard Apollo - Archives Department "Fantastic!" Richard shouted. "Finally, a chance to record some history." While Richard began to bug his new boss about his duties, Claus decided to slip out of there. He'd talk to Richard later. Right now, he'd try to track down Zack Furler. He wanted to at least have all the facts before he ran into Taylor again.
  14. IC: Claus/Richard - Archives department Claus would’ve felt embarrassment at their over-dramatic actions being completely unnecessary, but he needed to check the information immediately. He began mashing buttons on his Poketch, to bring up what Executive Samir had sent him. “Zack Furler…” he said, reading the data on the last known contact with his father. He had a lead at least. That’s more than he had for years. His job here was done. Richard on the other hand, had other business to attend to. He patted his new boss on his shoulder. “Oh yeah, by the way, I just transferred to your department,” he said with a smile that reached the full span of his face. “Now a little Taillow told me that you are doing interviews of people who participated in the mission to Two Island. I was wondering if I could get assigned to that job.“
  15. IC: Evan Tierra/Jenny Hakuda/James Arthur - Alamo Hangar At 5 o’clock, Evan Tierra’s pokegear beeped in the cafeteria, prompting the Plasma Knight to check it.The message read: "Scheduling error, flight is 8 PM today, not 8 tomorrow". Upon reading it, the man’s face froze, and he turned to Jenny. “Recall that flight to Alola? Yeah, it’s going today at 8.” Evan said, trying to stay calm as he checked the time. “So we’ve got…….three or so hours to get packed and get over there. Sound like a plan?” "That sounds good to me." Jenny replied with a nod as she quickly finished eating her meal. "Wonder how a mistake like that could have happened?" Evan shrugged. “Whatever the case, we’d best get a move on.” He said, grinning at his empty plate. “I’d hate to keep an executive waiting!” James made it to the hangar with about fifteen minutes to spare. In addition to having to pack, he needed to send several messages. One was to Executive Ladon about Xander’s request, another was to Executive Aaron. He would to be kept up to date on what was happening at Four Island while he was away. He paused for a moment thinking about Goldhawk. He didn’t have time to confirm his condition. That’s why he wanted to leave the next morning. If Goldhawk died, then the political situation would deteriorate further. The Executive snapped himself out of it. There was nothing he could do about it now. He searched for his flight as looked about the hangar. The hangar was abuzz with activity despite the late departure time. He would need to find who to give his luggage to. He dragged a suitcase beside in addition to the briefcase he held in his other arm. He was short one Poké Ball in that briefcase on account of Mordred. James couldn’t wait for the Weavile to return from his meeting with Vert. He gave Mordred instructions on how to not die while James was gone. Not that the Weavile needed them. He took care of himself in the days after his regrettable actions with Greed. The Plasma Agent noticed James’s arrival and waved at the Executive. “I have to admit that was short notice, sir, but I’m glad we didn’t miss our flight.” Evan said kindly to the man. “Oh, introductions are in order! Executive Arthur, this is my fellow Knight, Jenny Hakuda.” James kept the aggravation he felt at his schedule being changed at such late notice off his face, “A pleasure,” he said extending a hand to Jenny. “My apologies about the sudden change, I am glad you managed to accommodate our mistake.” "No worries, it wasn't -too- tough to make things work." Jenny gave a smile as she shook the executive's hand. With the pleasantries dispensed with, the trio found their flight. Depositing any luggage they needed, they boarded the plane and waited for the flight to take off.
  16. IC: Mordred - Four Island The Weavile regarded the trainer impassively. Was that what a 'Hollow Caster' was? Made little difference to Mordred, but he hadn't seen one before. He nodded towards the trainer and started to amble towards the guards outside of Vert's room. Hopefully James had called Executive Ladon already. Otherwise, these guys were not gonna be happy to see them. IC: Claus/Richard - Archives Department Claus and Richard lifted the poor man by his arms and sat him on a desk near the entrance to the room. Claus's face was pale. He swallowed and then forced air out of his lungs. "This is where the agent records are, right?" "Right." "We need anything you got on Lucas Diamond," Richard said. "Mission dates, phone records, anything you got." "We think-" No, the time for uncertainty was done. Claus had to face this head on. He had to admit it to himself more than anything. "He's missing. He's missing and we're looking to find him."
  17. IC: James Arthur - Executive Suite James pulled out Mordred's Poké Ball from his brief case while taking a bite from his sandwich. He was mulling over what the possible ramifications of this agent meeting with Vert would cause. A buzzing from his phone shook him from his thoughts. He placed the Poke Ball down and picked up his phone. He opened the message that had just arrived and read it's contents. "They got the time wrong," he said flatly to no one in particular. The flight to take him to Alola was not scheduled at 8 A.M. tomorrow It was scheduled at 8 P.M. today. James just stood there a moment. IC: Mordred - Four Island Mordred had never been rushed out of a room so quickly. He'd never seen James eat that quickly either. The man had looked almost possessed packing that quickly. James muttered something about needing to message some Tiara guy and Executive Ladon before hurriedly telling Mordred what he needed to do. James's dislike of Vert extended to his Pokémon. Whether it was due to their trainer's influence or shared indignation at what James and Vert were up to, they couldn't say. Mordred dragged his feet to delay being in her presence, but he did not have far to walk. The guards were kind of a give-away. Mordred wasn't in any hurry to go up to them. James said he'd take care of getting Cruize (whoever that was) past them when he showed up. Nothing to do but wait.
  18. IC: James Arthur - Four Island James walked back towards his office with a sandwich in a bag, and with Lancelot behind him. His phone began to ring. The caller ID was unknown to him, but he decided to answer. "This is Executive Arthur," he said wondering who the caller was.
  19. IC: A mass message was sent out over Liberty’s servers. OOC: Rules: -The story does not need to reflect what is turned into James IC. At some point, some character must turn something into James (in person or electronically). That character does not need to be the final recipient. -The story must revolve around some mystery. -The story either has to be RotR-related, or written with the narrative voice of one of your characters, or both! Both is good. -The story will not be judged on grammar, unless it is unreadable because of it. -Obey BZP, no plagiarizing, the usual. -No character bashing, unless you’re writing what one of your characters would write about their so called friends and you decide that’s what they would write. In which case, please be sure to make it clear that it is their opinion, not your own, and don’t go overboard. -The presentation of the mystery is the key deciding factor in the contest. If there is a tie, I’ll break it based on how well they integrate the theme of a contest with in a contest. -If you plan on writing a mystery from the viewpoint of someone who is bad at writing mysteries, that is acceptable… but you have to still have some clear and easy to follow logic to the mystery. It can be the logic of an insane troll, but I should be able to follow it. First Prize: Genesect Second Prize: First pick of Roddy’s Pokemon Third Prize: Second pick of Roddy’s Pokemon Fourth Prize: Third pick of Roddy’s Pokemon Deadline: TBD. Will probably ask y'all for some progress reports to gauge how long it should be.
  20. IC: James Arthur - Four Island James peered behind the other executive for a brief moment. He never had any occasion to enter Executive Stone's office. The spread out signs of his investigation interested James but he had little time to spend. "Executive Stone," he started before gesturing to the assassin. "This is Lafoyae Belrose. I have hired her to investigate a murder that occurred recently. I thought I would introduce her to you on the chance that the murder was connected to the ones you are investigating. I hoped you would be able to share with her some information that help her investigation." The older executive checked a watch on his wrist. He had to leave now if he was finish up the rest of his business before the meeting with the Plasma Knight. "Unfortunately I have other business I need to attend to. My apologies, I need to leave. Please contact me if either of you should need me for anything." James bid the pair farewell before turning back towards the habitation area. He still had business with Roderick's team. He needed to discuss their future.
  21. IC: James Arthur - Alamo "Very well," James said. He turned towards Genesect and Wattling and said, "I will be back soon. We will talk about the future then." The Genesect and Rotom looked sad but bid the pair farewell. James again led Lafoyae down the halls of the Alamo once more. They walked back towards his own office but stopped a hall early. Taking a turn, the pair stopped in front of a door near the corner. "This is Executive Stone's office," he said knocking on the door. "I will introduce the two of you and then leave. I have other business I have to take care of."
  22. IC: James Arthur - Four Island "Not that I can think of at the moment. I will send you the coordinates of the scene of the crime," James said standing up. "If you would please follow me." He held the door open for Lafoyae and the two exited. The pair walked down halls until they reached the habitation area. James walked up to a receptionist and spoke a few words. He nodded to James and went into another room. They were left waiting for a while. Eventually the receptionist returned with a Genesect and a Rotom. "This is Genesect and Wattling," James said pointing to the two Pokemon to Lafoyae. Turning towards the Pokemon he said, "Wattling, Genesect. This is Lafoyae Belrose, she is going to be looking into your case. Please give her any information you can." IC: Guinevere - Celadon Mansion It was times like these that made Guinevere wish for her telepathy back. Natalie was hiding something in her words. She'd love to try and poke at it to find what it was. Still, she had received an answer. An inconclusive, but an answer. Natalie deserved one in turn. Guinevere erased what she wrote after giving Natalie a moment to take her words in. She considered Natalie's earlier words and wrote one more question.
  23. IC: Guinevere - Celadon Mansion "..." Guinevere was unresponsive for a moment. The woman in front of her was the first potential ally who knew Stacy the Gardevoir had come across. Still, she was apprehensive about actively letting someone else into her investigation. But in the end, she decided to go ahead and ask a question. IC: James Arthur- Executive Suite James leaned into his chair slightly. He knew why Roderick owned the device, but it was also politically sensitive to a degree. It was especially not technology that Liberty wanted responsibility for letting fall into the wrong hands that it had just fallen into. "The device in question is known as a snag machine. If you have heard about the Team Snagem incidents, then you are probably aware of its existence," James said, fixing his posture. "The snag machine covers the majority of the arm. It would be a dead give away if you saw it. "As for information that might help you, there is not much, but I have a few options. You have my permission to investigate the scene if there is anything you believe that report may have missed. We have some records of Roderick's movements up till that point, if you believe there may be information to glean from where he had gone. I have custody of the victim's Pokemon. If there are questions you would like to ask them, that is acceptable. There is also another Liberty executive looking into these murders. I can introduce you to him if you so wish."
  24. IC: Richard Apollo/Claus Diamond - Liberty Library Claus lead the pair to the library where Richard's new job was in the back of. Richard took in the scenery of the library for a brief moment. The modern design of the room disappointed him somehow. He wanted giant bookcases with the smell of musty old books and dim lights. "Alright, this is it," Claus said, grabbing Richard's attention. Claus was pointing to a gray door. It was dull and lifeless. No personality attached to it at all. Richard knew for sure now that here was where he was needed. "The archives department is through here," Claus said. "Hello hellooo~" Richard sang while banging on the door, hoping someone would answer.
  25. IC: James Arthur - Executive Suite James inspected the document that Lafoyae signed, and affixed his own name to the document as well. He ripped a carbon copy from the back of the document and handed it to Lafoyae. "As that is now taken care of, I have a job offer for you." He pulled out two folders from his desk drawer. "About one week ago, one of our agents was murdered. And a piece of rare technology was taken from him," James said. "His Pokemon survived and reported that the assailants were a woman and a young girl, who have yet to be identified. That folder contains a profile on the victim and the details we discovered at the scene." "And this," he said, handing the other folder to Lafoyae, "is a compilation of other murders of Liberty agents that have occurred in the past month. Of note is the murder of Drake Masters. There is a transcript of a conversation he had with a young girl right before his death." "Your job, should you accept it," he said, pulling out one final document, "would be to investigate these murders and either apprehend the murderer or acquire for us the information to do so ourselves. You would be rewarded handsomely for the completion of this job."
