  1. I am not sure if my phone isn't loading the image, or if the joke is that Ant Man and Wasp are so tiny you can't see the photo of them.
  2. My mom has a Big Banana skateboard from when she was a kid, so I dug it out of the garage and made a LEGO version of it. I had to cover the entire top with a bunch of plate pieces, because it was so bendy, the wheels could barely hold it up and every time I picked it up to work on it, it fell apart. It is also kind of hard to tell here, but the underside has an angled taper to it in a similar fashion to the real skateboard. I will not try skate on this. Mainly because the wheels don't do anything and this would have to be massively glued to hold up anything heavier than my cat. The only person who gets to try to skateboard on this is Andy MacDonald because BIONICLE TOA TOUR AWESOME. This will be at BrickFair VA in a few weeks! (click for bigger pictures/flickr)

OH. I don't know what else to say but OH.
  4. Gamzee x Kopaka, Tunnel of Love ride.
  5. I bought 77 LEGO Friends minifigs off of ebay. They are all sealed factory rejects due to having paint errors, mismatched body parts, etc. They all also have very random head pieces, and going through all of them has been very fun. I am not entirely sure what I will do with all of them, but it should turn out pretty great. Here is a giant photo of all of them. It is kind of ridiculous. Highlights include: Bobbi Fett 2x. Hilary Clinton! Questioning??? Daughter of Rhymenocerus. PIE HEAD. Probably a Davesprite casual cosplayer? Culturally insensitive fig. Jaquelynn Sparrow. Conquistadora the Explorer. Miss Swamp Thang. ADORABLE HIPSTER FIG SHE IS SO CUTE. Ninjago cosplayer??? Cute hippies with and without headband. Garden Stage gal fig. The one of the left was fighting polar bears. Anyway, that's it. The end.
  6. How can he be in CanadaWHEN HE IS ALREADY THERE??? (Spoiler: Brian is Lord English)
  7. Brian: Cry maple syrup tears because of the countdown.
  8. It's been 30 minutes. Pat and I keep yelling at the phone, but he really can't hear us because he is talking to a customer. This is great. He is talking about Bigfoot with his customer and they are talking about whether there are any Bigfoot horror movies, and I found one and I texted the name to him. I think now his customer is talking about tornados. Update: He just texted me "??", about the movie title and I responded with "my spirit animal told me you were curious about thriller/horror movies with Bigfoot", and he responded with "that is really creepy, how did you know about that??"
  9. Holiday Inn is the one most people going to BrickFair stay in. It is right across the parking lot from the convention center. They have a room block available for 100/night, but there are only two rooms left open right now, but if you can find other members to stay with if it is just you, it is really easy to group up with 4+ other people and save a bit of cash.
  10. If we can reserve a private room at lazer tag, why not just have the concert in the room?
  11. Becca: Make LEGO sushi for fish. Becca: Name fish. Becca: Be the other guy. Becca: Style yo' gears, guuuurl!
  12. Are they going to be banned member neon pink. Is that the surprise. That we will put the shirts on and all of BrickFair will be blinded by our shirts.
  13. Let me message you my idea for the size.
  14. PUFFIN! PUFFIN! PUFFIN! CLICK FOR TOPIC!
  15. It's a puffin! It is a life size Atlantic puffin that will be at BrickFair VA. I did not know how small this kind of puffin was until I started working on it yesterday. Puffin! Puffin! Puffin! Puffin! Puffin! Puffin! Puffin! Puffin!

    Bricklink

When you're searching for a piece, you can sort from most to least pieces available in a store. I know I sometimes use that when I only need say, 20 of something, and I just scroll down until I find a store with close or exact to what I need, depending on if they have a minimum purchase requirement.
  17. Every Monday, play Monopoly against yourself until you win.
  18. The female minifigure set is great! The designs are well thought out and they would not only be cool to put into a town or city MOC, but also to just display on a shelf. Though, one thing that bothers me a bit about the project is that again, it's something that begins to state that girls need to only aspire to really high level professional jobs in traditionally male roles and nothing else. The Friends line is doing a better job giving examples of traditional and non-traditional gender roles that girls can aspire to for their future careers than this potential LEGO set is. What if a young girl (or boy) wants to become a stay at home parent, a teacher, a homemaker, a hairdresser, a childcare worker, a nurse, a secretary, a cook, a waiter, a receptionist, a salesperson, etc., all jobs that can be considered traditional female roles? It would nice to see some equality in these sets and understanding that if you want to become a stay at home parent or a nurse, that's great, but if you want to also become a paleontologist or astronomer, or even some kind of combination of traditional and non-traditional gender role careers, that is great too because there is nothing wrong with aspiring for those careers either! TL;DR: Let children aspire to be what they want to be. But also we want more female minifigs, please.

    Bricklink

Bricklink is pretty rad. Make sure when you do your searches for parts that they have the number of pieces you need though! I have had ones where I find someone who has the parts I need for super cheap, but then they only have 5 available when I need 50. Keep an eye out for ones that need a minimum purchase, as sometimes you can find sellers with everything you need, or you can find multiple with no minimum purchase. Also, if you only want to purchase from inside your home country, make sure you have your searches set for that, because sometimes if your order from a seller outside of your country it takes forever, so if you're in a time crunch, only order in your country. DeeVee has bought Bionicle parts from Germany and they show up weeks later and he'll be all "wait, I bought parts? Oh yeah, that was like, a month ago, I forgot".
  20. If you can somehow magically get a ladies small, I would be totes happy. Like DeeVee, I'm also curious as to the size of the design on the shirt, as that kind of makes it a deciding factor for me as well. Dark blue with yellow would be sweet, but that usually involves more ink, because to get yellow to show up on a darker shirt, you have to do a layer of white and then the layer of yellow, so dark blue with white ink would likely work best. I really want to find my brother's silk screening kit and make some posters with this design to put everywhere because Kevin's design is SO SWEET.
  21. Dale Chihuly's work is amazing! He also wears an eyepatch. I raced and won two soap box derby races on one of the overpasses that you drove under in Mt. Vernon!
