The female minifigure set is great! The designs are well thought out and they would not only be cool to put into a town or city MOC, but also to just display on a shelf. Though, one thing that bothers me a bit about the project is that again, it's something that begins to state that girls need to only aspire to really high level professional jobs in traditionally male roles and nothing else. The Friends line is doing a better job giving examples of traditional and non-traditional gender roles that girls can aspire to for their future careers than this potential LEGO set is. What if a young girl (or boy) wants to become a stay at home parent, a teacher, a homemaker, a hairdresser, a childcare worker, a nurse, a secretary, a cook, a waiter, a receptionist, a salesperson, etc., all jobs that can be considered traditional female roles? It would nice to see some equality in these sets and understanding that if you want to become a stay at home parent or a nurse, that's great, but if you want to also become a paleontologist or astronomer, or even some kind of combination of traditional and non-traditional gender role careers, that is great too because there is nothing wrong with aspiring for those careers either! TL;DR: Let children aspire to be what they want to be. But also we want more female minifigs, please.
