  1. I should get a Unit 08 alpha figure...
  2. IC(Expeditionary Fleet Alpha, System 13): The FCS Telakra and its escort had finally reached their destination. They were currently in orbit around the anomalous planet that the Alpha Vikren crew had discovered in the first expedition. The crews were searching for an ideal landing zone that would put them not too far from the assumed source of radiation. They were also double checking the environmental suits of the expeditionary team to ensure their safety. While the planet had an atmosphere, it wasn't all that much, let alone breathable.
  3. IC(Kalaras, system 7): It was a day of celebration. The construction of the world's first space elevator had just been completed. On top of that, the government announced the success of a manned expedition to the nearest star system and back. Also announced were plans to explore one of the planets of Terath, the nearby system. Prior to the completion of the space elevator, the Federation government launched a campaign to get businesses and corporations to invest in more space-based enterprises, particularly mining and tourism. There were plans to eventually put colonies on other planets in the Czion system, so transport firms were also enticed to invest in spacecraft. Out of this grew a civilian spacecraft industry, taking tips from some limited information released by the government on their own ships. Meanwhile, to enforce future order in the system, as well as conduct further exploration, the government ordered the construction of two more spacecraft based on the design of the Vikren cross-alpha. The new designs were for the most part identical, though with some changes to streamline and cheapen the production process. This new class of ship was designated Vikren ×1 (cross-one), and would serve as the basis for a planned fleet of ten or so ships. Not long after, one of the civilian starship manufacturers was contracted to build a colonisation vessel to establish a Kalarii foothold on the next planet out in the system. The target world was an airless one, but it was looked at as the easiest target for such action. After some weeks of R&R, the crew of the Alpha Vikren was ordered out again. They were going back to the abnormal world they had discovered in the Terath system, but this time they would be escorting a team of explorers and scientists aboard the FCS Telakra. A team of newly trained soldiers were assigned to each of the ships. These new soldiers were trained to fight aboard spaceships and in foreign environments. They were intended to be both the vanguard of exploration parties and at the same time the actual acting arm of the Federation's new space police. There was still work being done on organising a command structure, but plans were to integrate them into the new Federation Celestial Navy.
  4. IC(Vikren ×α, System 13): The Vikren scout craft had been in the system for a while now. The crew had mapped out most of the features in the system, and were now preparing to return to their homeworld. One particular feature that stood out among the rest was one of the inner planets. It was a large rocky planet, but that's not what was interesting about it; planet had abnormally high readings of background radiation. In response to the report that the crew had sent back to Kalaras, it was hinted that an exploration mission to that planet would be organised in short order. With their first mission complete, the crew of the Alpha Vikren were noticeably more relaxed than they had been when they first warped into the system. The starship began to accelerate out, in the direction of the Czion star system. Once the crew had completed the FTL safety checks, the warp tunnel drive was activated and the ship was off on its way.
  5. IC(Vikren ×α, System 13): Two days later, the Alpha Vikren found itself at the edge of its destination system. Two celestial bodies showed up immediately on the ship's sensors, one assumed to be a gas giant based on its size. The Vikren powered up its thrusters and began moving further into the system, the crew keeping and eye out for any other features. As information was gathered, it would be sent back to Kalaras via hyperwave.
  6. The songs you mean? Yeah, fripSide. They're great. I know some people were complaining quite a bit about how similar the setting and first episode of Valvrave was to that of Gundam SEED, but I don't really know what to think about it.
  7. System 7 IC: It was morning in Central Kalaras. Up on the northern steppes the Kalarii Federation's first true deep space exploration and patrol craft Vikren ×α was preparing to embark on its maiden voyage. The purpose of the ship's mission would be the first manned warp-tunnel jump to another star system. The destination system was the closest system (system 13) to the Kalarii home system of Czion. The Federation had worked to keep announcement of the launch to a minimum, strategically timing the announcement that the construction the first Kalarii space elevator would being promptly to coincide with the event, in order to keep unwanted attention to a minimum. Meanwhile, construction of the planned space elevator actually began on a plateau just south of the Kalarii capital. And the ship launched, streaking up into the atmosphere over the northern half of the planet. Within a few hours the ship had escaped the planet's gravity well and following the tenth safety check after takeoff, the crew activated the warp drive with bated breath. OOC: Construction on space elevator begun. To be completed 4/25.
  8. Yeah. I just really really wanted to see 10032.
  9. First episode of Railgun S was excellent, though I was a bit disappointed that they started with filler rather than jumping straight into the plot (or at least poking at it near the end).
  10. THE KALARII FEDERATIONUsername: KothraSpecies Name: Kalarii - imageBiology: The Kalarii are a race of humanoid otter-people with long, flexible bodies. They stand at 2.1 metres on average, with tails about 1.4 metres in length. The purpose of a Kalarii's thick, muscular tail is to steer and and in some cases propel the Kalarii while swimming. Because of its strength and weight, the tail can be used as a blunt weapon in combat. They have retractile claws that serve little purpose aside from grooming their fur in their current evolutionary state, but have proven useful as last-ditch close-quarters weapons. The fur covering their bodies is short, fine, and dense. The colouring is usually a dark brown, but it is not hard to find other colours, from beige and tan to reddish brown. Their diet consists mostly of seafood, primarily crustaceans, but they also eat bread, rice, and fruits.Government: The political system of the Kalarii Federation could probably be best described as a hybrid direct-representative democracy. The citizens of the Federation vote for both representatives of their states to Federal Assembly and the members of the administrative Federal Council. In addition to this, referendums are held for most major legislation, giving the system its hybrid nature. The Federal Assembly is the governments single legislative body, with 600 seats. Its members are elected through a proportional representation system. The Federal Council is the governments executive body, made up of six councilors, each directly elected by the people of the Federation.Psychology: Among the Kalarii, balance and unity are highly valued, and maintaining such is important, even if violent means are required to do so. This is one of the key reasons why the Kalarii Federation was founded. This concept has also been adapted into interpersonal interactions over the centuries: if one Kalarii is wronged by another, it is commonplace for the wronged party to demand some sort of payment or a duel from the wrongdoer to keep a balance of one's honour. As such, insults are not taken lightly by the Kalarii. In recent times however, lethal dueling has been banned, and strict politeness is becoming less common in informal situations. The Kalarii Federation has set up a Judicial Board to enforce that reparations are paid and to keep situations from spiraling out of control. Young Kalarii are encouraged and in some cases forced to band together with others who hold similar interests. Acting separately from any group is widely frowned upon.History: The Kalarii were once split into numerous nations, often warring among one another. One particularly powerful nation, along with several allies came to the conclusion that a world government was a good idea and worked to control or conquer any nations that rejected their idea, and welcoming those who agreed. They eventually succeeded and modern Kalarii Federation was born. The idea of Kalarii space travel came about half a century later, and was originally engineered and pursued by private groups. Only after successful trips around the planet did the government realise the importance that this could have in the future. The consulate, with senate backing, declared space government territory, requiring all private groups register with the government. The government capitalised on things such as orbital weapons and surveillance as things to keep the territories in line, but this mentality wore off after about twenty years and space was opened to private enterprise once more. Plans to colonise other planets and bodies in the system eventually turned into plans to colonise other systems. Within the past two hundred years, the Federation successfully established two colonies in other star systems. Eventually a team of government and corporate scientists developed and perfected a jump drive system, bringing rise to the modern era. As it exists now, system jump technology is limited to government use.The Kalarii were once split into numerous nations, often warring among one another. 11. They may be imports, but they're actually affordable for once.
  12. The second opening of Eureka Seven was my least favourite, but the last two were the best.
  13. Figures? I have a GN-000 0 Gundam, a GN-004 Gundam Nadleh, some old Eva 00 Prototype figure, and a MISAKA 10032 figure. Of course the first three are basically model kits, but I'm still counting them because they aren't really that different. And now I see your signature and feel the need to mention that I'm only four episodes from finishing the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.
  14. I think there was supposed to be something along the lines of "without prior notice" tagged on there.
  15. Kothra

    Starscape

Take two. Coming soon to an OTC near you.
  16. First off, I salute your absolute top-tier taste. And now I'm going to recommend that you watch Eureka Seven, because it's one of the best.
  17. Make his grey darker. It seems too similar to the other grey.
  18. In my experience, people have almost always formed profiles before an RPG even got to the judging stages. As for RTSRPGs specifically, after the first one people have generally been claiming areas as soon as a map was available. So comparatively, not really premature.
  19. I wouldn't go posting your profile stuff in this topic. Just keep it to yourself for now. What exactly do you mean by premature though? What exactly are you referring to? Needs more context.
  20. Yeah, I really want Gosick as well. And if AoA did release a set like that Gurren Lagann one, I'd still buy it. But really they should stop focusing on these super premium releases and do more stuff like that Oreimo release they had last year or so.
  21. That's why you buy it from Right Stuf for $140. I still wouldn't buy it though. I'm not that much of a Gurren Lagann fan anyway.
  22. I guess I'll go with system #7. Colour is cerulean blue.
  23. If you people are claiming systems over skype while I'm not there and writing this blasted paper, I'm going to cry.
  24. Now that I go and look at the DVD set, it's not quite as bad as I expected based on your little rant thing there, but I personally wouldn't buy it. I would hope they release a basic set some time in the future, but we'll see.
