  1. I may not have much BZP presence, but as a writer and supporter of peace and love I can not stand idly in the face of this injustice. You have my pen! Glory be to Smeag!
  2. Hi. Just saying thanks to the suggestion of The Empire scripts!

    1 post!

  3. Ooooh. Mark like. Those Tahu and Kopaka bookmarks in particular are pretty tempting. I might just have to grab those once I can scrounge up the money. Shouldn't be too hard to do so. But as an overall comment, these are pretty impressive. I've never seen too much of your work, just the few pieces I've stumbled upon now and again, but looking at these I'm kinda sad that I haven't seen more. In fact, I might have to go dig up some of your old topics now. The comment is long overdue, but I'll say it anyway: you are indeed a very talented artist. Hope I can find to money to get one or two these soon. -

    Death By Xbox

Oh you want to get slaughtered then let it be public knowledge that you played it and didn't like it. :annoyed2: Some people take video games waaay too seriously. People need to stop getting angry because others don't like a certain game or system. [/majorhypocrisy] Remember though, you're lucky. All we've gotten in terms of snow is a few flurries. Make sure to enjoy the snow while it lasts. That stupid global warming is trying to take it away from us. -
  5. Ah, cookies. What our lives would be without you. Video games provide hours of mindless entertainment, and music can make even the dullest moments enjoyable, but nothing brings about happiness like a batch of fresh baked cookies. Man, I want Snickerdoodles now. I'll have to make some tonight after dinner. Yay Snickerdoodles! -
  6. Yeah, that was one of my only complaints about the game: too easy. Even the three heart challenge was fairly easy. Now the Cave of Ordeals, that's a different story. That was the one point in the game where I felt like I had actually accomplished something significant. Especially can't wait to try it on my minimalist file. That ought to be challenging. Twilight Princess was amazing, but if had even been just a little tougher, it would probably be my favorite. Can't wait to see you try and come up with cons for Ocarina of Time! -
  7. Oh yeah, sorry about that. I always call MP3 players iPods, even if they're not. MP3 Player and iPod are like synonomous to me. I'll get the hang of it eventually. I'm so far behind in music players. -
  8. Nice! Not that I know anything about iPods, but it looks cool! -

    Stuffs

Well Christmas has come and past. A lot of great stuff has happened, and a lot of not so great stuff as well. Well a lot more bad stuff than good stuff. But I'll focus on the happy stuff. Video Games: Games, games, games. I love video games. And it's not even just playing them. Call me a nerd or a geek or whatever, but I've always been fascinated by how video games work. Unless I get a major swing in interests in the next 2 years, I'm even going to a apply for Champlain College for their video game programming course. But that's still a bit off, and while I'm having fun dabbling in RPGMaker, right now I just want to be able to enjoy playing my new games. Right now I'm working on 3 games. Dragon Quest VIII (PS2), Conker: Live and Reloaded (X-Box), and Metroid Prime (GC) are the three I'm playing right now. Also need to get Metroid Prime 2 once I've beaten the first one. Need to beat them both before Corruption comes out. I want to finish up the last of my games before the string of awesome Wii games coming out this year starts (so freaking stoked for the new Fire Emblem). Music: Got a bunch of new CDs recently. Namely Bon Jovi's "Keep the Faith", Motley Crue's "Red, White, and Crue", Journey's Greatest Hits, and Nintendo's Twilight Princess Soundtrack (what can I say, I'm a Zelda freak). I love my music. I listen to music near constantly. Even when I'm playing video games, I usually just mute the volume and put on a CD. Although it recently crossed my mind that for all my love of music, it seemed odd that I've never been to a concert. So I did a bit searching and found an awesome concert near where I live (sort of). Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, and Three Days Grace. I'm praying I'll be able to go. The only problem is that it's on a Wednesday at 7, and it's like two hours away from where I live, so that could definitely screw things up. Oh well. Here's hoping it works out in the end. Books: Finally gotten back into the habit of reading on a near daily basis. Just finished up the second and third book in the Demonata series (awesome series). And of course there was City of the Lost (if you haven't gotten it yet, you definitely should, it's such an awesome book). Also reading some short stories by Ambrose Bierce for an English project on writing styles. After I'm done with that though I'm planning on raiding my Dad's book shelf. Been meaning to read Sherlock Holmes and The Silmarillion for a while now. School: Just dealt with Mid-Terms. Actually kinda liked having Mid-Terms. There were all fairly easy (except for the social studies one :annoyed2:) and I got to go home at like 11:30 everyday so that was nice. And I'm now done with Gym class for the rest of my life. YES!!!! My legs are still a bit sore from the exam though (18 minutes of continuous running + pathetic physical condition = pain). Hope I did good on the exams. Dad's been motivating me with the promise of white chocolate Lindoor's, and a driver's license. Man I want that driver's license. And in a completely random bit of news my hair is finally long enough for a ponytail. Woot! Current Progress: Dungeon: Final Dungeon Event: Staring at the boss door. Death Count: 23 (give or take a death) -
  12. As I mentioned in my last blog entry I've begun to attempt something that will probably have me screaming in frustration for months. I'm going to beat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Under some special cirsumstances of course. I mentioned the idea in my last blog entry, but this deserves its own entry. The guidelines are as follows: No Master Sword (except in the parts where it's necessary)No Hylian Shield (fire will not be fun to deal with :annoyed2:)Basic carrying capacities (basic quiver, single, basic bomb bag, basic wallet)Not Magic ArmorNo restoritive items such as potions and fairies (I argued with myself alot about this one, but I finally decide to go with it)And most importantly: Only three heart containersThis is going to be one crazy game. I was thinking about going with no hidden skills either, but I finally decided for them on the grounds that they are all relient on your skill at using them. Also, I don't want to make this game too hard. I'll keep everyone updated on my progress in the game at the bottom of each post. If I can get ahold of a camera, I'll also provide screenshots and/or videos for proof of my awesome Zelda talent. Well, wish me luck! Current Progress: Dungeon: 2nd Dungeon Event: Room with the ton of archers (can't remember where that dang small key is :annoyed2:) Death Count: 0 -
  13. Heh, I'm gonna need all the luck I can get to pull this off. I'm probably going to start pretty soon, I'm just holding off cause I've only got one file left, and I'm seeing a few friends this weekend who want to take the game for a spin. I'll probably keep updates for my progress in it, along with a screenshot/video or two if I can find a camera. If I can actually manage to accomplish this, I'll definately get a video of the final boss fight. And thanks, I'm starting to feel a little better today (at least I've gone through less tissues today), so hopefully I should be better soon. And I actually managed to get a good night's sleep last night, so that's definately an improvement. -
  14. I hate colds. Colds are just horrible. But for me it's not having to constatly blow your nose, it's not the sore throat you get as a result, and it's not the constant sniffling and coughing. I can deal with all those. It's that the stupid thing refuses to let you to sleep! GRRRRR! Stupid cold woke me up two hours ago at about 3 in the morning and wouldn't let me get back to bed. I want to sleep dangit! And since I'm blogging anyways, I might as well let you all know of my insanely unrealistic goal. Seeing as I'm bored as heck, and have absolustely nothing better to do, I decided to take up the ultimate Legend of Zelda challenge. I'm going to play through the entirety of Twilight Princess with the Iron Sword, a Wooden Shield, a basic quiver and bomb bag, a basic wallet, no Magic Armor, and only three hearts. Bring it on! -

    The Game

I did? Yes, that stupid pointer annoyed me to. I wouldn't have minded it so much if there was actually a use for it in the game, outside of the menu screen. Hopefully they'll fix that up for the new Zelda for the Wii. -
