Fantasy, primarily, though most kinds of fiction work for me. In my spare time I play videogames (mostly for the story element - really exited about Star Wars: The Old Republic for that reason) and read all the webcomics I possibly can. My favorites list is three times the length of my screen, and it's a pretty decent screen.

I also enjoy thinking up crazy things that someone with too much money and free time might actually do. My latest idea is to buy and renovate the Roman Colisseum and dedicate it to Smosh-style food battles, where people will compete with their favorite foods in various contests of my own twisted devising. You'd be amazed what can be done with a nacho hat...

  1. I'm gonna have to call it for the night. I hate timezones.
  2. IC: Blaze "Blaze," answered the rahkshi of adaptation. "And I think stabbity back there mentioned your name's Revenge, right?" She glanced at the camo-patterned rahkshi she'd been fighting. "Never caught his, though." ()H-D()
  3. IC: Blaze "I'll bounce back fast," Blaze replied, pushing herself to her feet and, when that nearly resulted in collapsing again, using her mace as a walking stick to keep herself steady. "I always do. Maybe with a bit of healing and a lot of bandages. And some rest." She shrugged. "But hey, at least I'm not bored anymore. That's the worst. I still can't believe I got passed up to go smash and grab in that matoran village." ()H-D()
  4. IC: Blaze Blaze grinned broadly at the admission of her victory. "Heh, yeah," she agreed, "it was pretty inten-" As she tried to get up, her side gave out on her again and she fell forward, right onto her face. "...Ow." Ironic. This other rahkshi had gone for several headshots and she'd blocked or dodged them all, but now she finally took a hit to the face and it was from collapsing to the floor. That was just embarrassing. "Can I get some of those bandages?" She asked through a faceful of floor. ()H-D()
  5. IC: Blaze Seemed he was as stubborn as her. Even coughing up blood, he wouldn't give up. She had to respect that. But her upper body was still fine, and she lifted her mace as she'd prepared to, blocking his blow and forcing him back. With the weight on her good leg and her bad one on its knee she could just about handle this. At the opening she took the haft of the mace in both hands and swung it at his legs, gambling that he wouldn't be in any state to dodge the attack this time. ()H-D()
  6. IC: Blaze Though not in the best state physically, Blaze was still aware enough to see that one coming a mile away. She stepped aside as he approached and was just about to go for her planned attack when the pain in her back flared up - she must have stressed it too much with that sidestep. Hissing angrily, she dropped to one knee as her leg finally collapsed under her. Her hands still gripped her mace, though, and she had it at the ready to defend. Surely, with all that charging and swinging, he must be feeling his own injuries too. ()H-D()
  7. Wait, how did Rider do that when he was explicitly out of reach even for his blade, let alone his arm?
  8. IC: Blaze After a blow like that to the back, Blaze was amazed her opponent could walk, let alone kick, but kick he did. It also proved a bad idea, since Blaze had more than enough room to sidestep the attack, and the followup jab was limited to arm's reach, which she was not. Though it had not been without cost, Blaze knew that she'd won this fight, so she hefted her mace in a ready stance and told her opponent as much. "You can barely walk," she said, pretending for the time being that her own leg wasn't shaking and her back still bleeding. It felt less hypocritical that way. "You've got one working arm and no hope of winning. Do you wanna add some broken limbs to the list or just admit you've lost this one?" And if he said no, she was ready to finish it decisively with a feint toward his arm that would angle sharply downward at his leg. ()H-D()
  9. IC: Blaze Blaze stepped back, cringing as the pain in her carapace flared up. She was now officially on her back leg, but she could keep the other rahkshi at bay by holding her mace ready. If he tried to come in for another attack she would be able to hit him before he got close enough; meanwhile, with her longer weapon, she could attack with relative impunity. And he wouldn't get past her again like he had before. She was ready for that trick this time. With this tactic in mind, she aimed another attack at his remaining arm. If he couldn't fight, she won. ()H-D()
  10. IC: Blaze That little chuckle set off alarm bells in Blaze's head, but it was too little, too late. The momentum of her swing forced her to turn when it failed to connect, leaving her back exposed to the sneaky little viper. Her carapace deflected the blade to the side and protected her from the worst of it - a rahkshi's back was hardly the most vulnerable part of her - but that didn't make the blow harmless. Far from it, as Blaze hissed loudly in pain as the weapon scored a nasty gash across her back and had her stumbling again. She managed to turn around before he got in another free hit, but his was no longer the only unsteady footing. Fluid was starting to flow down her hip, and her right leg was shaking a bit. The two of them were on a much more even level now, but she still had the advantage in reach, and that trick would never work a second time. Shifting her weight to her good leg, she took another heavy swing at his weapon arm from outside the reach of his blade. ()H-D()
  11. IC: Blaze By this point her opponent (whose name she still didn't know) was clearly desperate. He'd taken a light hit to the hip and a heavy one to the side, and from the way he was blinking he might have had blood in his eyes. And yet he was charging at her, a reckless move even for her. Being mostly uninjured, it wasn't hard for Blaze to step out of the way, and as she did so she swung her mace again, aiming to smack him in the gut when his charge brought him into its path. With his momentum and its weight, the result would not be pretty. ()H-D()
  12. IC: Blaze Grinning again at her impending victory, Blaze raised her mace high, aiming to bring it down on her opponent's shoulder, but in doing so she made the critical error of letting her guard down since her quarry was trapped. As a result she was completely unprepared when his foot crashed into her face, causing her to stumble back and let go of his arm. She hissed angrily, finding her balance again quickly and raising her weapon. It was just as well; the mace was pretty big, best wielded with two hands, and not really suited to being so close up. She took a step back, knowing its range was much better than that of her opponent's short blade, and took a proper swing at his right side from outside his reach. Focusing the energy on the head meant that this blow had a lot more weight, it wouldn't be as easy to parry as the last. ()H-D()
  13. IC: Blaze A stab was a risky move. When Blaze sidestepped the attack, rather than go directly for another blow with the mace, she reached out with one hand to grab her opponent's extended forearm. If she had that in her grip, she could hit him with impunity. ()H-D()
  14. IC: Blaze Blaze hadn't honestly expected that one to land. She was sure it would be deflected, and was ready to pull back in the moment that happened. When it didn't, she was so surprised she didn't react fast enough when her opponent took the blow and dished out his own. She recoiled just in time to keep it from being a serious blow, but the blade scratched painfully against her front, causing her to grit her teeth in pain. Now angry at an attack she knew she should've been able to handle, Blaze brought her mace around and aimed a less restrained, more forceful blow at the shoulder of his weapon arm. ()H-D()
  15. IC: Blaze With that awkward situation dealt with Blaze came in for another strike, this time aimed at the left hip. Her guard was still up, still probing his defenses to see how soon she could afford to get aggressive. ()H-D()
