Hey, folks. It been quite awhile since I wrote an entry here, hasn't it? XD

Sorry about that, although you really hadn't missed much lately… I just been doing my normal routine mostly, which is going to work and then watching some media (TV Shows & YouTube mostly) when I get home from work.

Still I guess it hasn’t all been that for past few months (Although it certain been that way majority of the time since I don’t have much of a life. XD). I mean there were a couple of things here and there that I broke routine, so I guess I’ll share the highlights or cliff notes on those things.

So first off, near the end of July, I helped out in BIONILUG Mosaic project (For those wondering, I did about half of the Pohatu Mata side for this mosaic, which is fitting since Pohatu Mata was my first Bionicle set). It was an interesting experience since I have never really done a collaborated building project like that before. Well, nothing like that in person… I mean I did do some mosaic panels for xccj in the past, but I just ship those out and of course, they were much smaller too.

So yeah, it was interesting. I was quite a noob though compared to other people there (I am a pretty slow builder.) and I imagine I was pretty awkward to be around since no one there knew me very well. On the positive side of things though, I didn’t vomit, so that’s something to be thankful for.

Moving on from that, I ended up checking out BrickFair VA for a Saturday Public Day in August (A friend drove me down since I am not ready to do the drive myself.), which was fun and it was pretty cool seeing the finished product of the BIONILUG project that I help with.

Oh, and I was actually going to write recap entry for that back in August with my pictures, but my laziness got the better of me. XD

But anyway, it feels like it is too late for a recap now, so I’ll keep this short (Although I can still share the pictures if you folks want though). Hm… I think my only regret from that day was I forgot to say hi to TTV group, while I was there. Otherwise, it was pretty good day. I didn’t even vomit (Although that’s probably more of because I unintentionally fast the day before.)!

As for possibility of going next year (Whether for a day or more), it looking pretty unlikely at this point, especially since highway driving stresses me out (After last weekend, I honest don’t want to drive on the highway ever again. New Jersey is scary…). I guess we’ll see, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Alright, I think I am going to summarize the rest in list format since I don’t want to keep you folks too long. So here’s the list:

    - Work has (thankfully) picked up last month that I have been able to get some overtime weekly again. Here’s hoping it is a good sign for 2017 since this year (until now) was incredible slow.

    - Pokemon Red Progress > I got all eight Kanto Badges and I hadn’t challenged the Elite Four though since I waiting till I have 149 Pokemon in my Pokedex. Currently I have 118 Pokemon (Note I need to train 5 more Pokemon to evolve too.) and I’ll be trying to get 26 Pokemon exclusive to Blue Version by the end of the month hopefully (I already have my old Gen 1 3DS set up with a copy to play.).

Man, I can’t believe I am this close to a 100% Pokedex (Excluding Mew because there is no legit way to get it.). It definitely wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. As for my other self-imposed challenges, all Pokemon have been nicknamed and caught in Pokeball (No Great Ball, Ultra Ball, or Master Ball used), so I am doing well with those challenges so far.

    - I went to Zelda Symphony at Mann Center again. Not much to say beside that it was fun evening like always and I would definitely check it out again.

That’s about it really. I guess I’ll share what I been watching lately since maybe you folks might be interested in that, so here’s the list:

    Currently watching:
    - Buffy the Vampire Slayer (On Netflix; First time watching; currently on Season 2)
    - Star Wars: Rebels, Season 3 (Live; First time watching)
    - Supernatural, Season 12 (Live; First time watching)
    - Steven Universe, Season 4 (Post-Live on Amazon Video; First time watching)

    Previous watched:
    - Luke Cage, Season 1 (On Netflix; First time watching; I rank it as my second favorite Marvel Netflix series after Jessica Jones)
    - Agents of SHIELD, Season 3 (On Netflix; First time watching)
    - Supernatural, Seasons 1-11 (On Netflix; Re-watch to catch up for Season 12)
    - Star Wars: Rebels, Seasons 1-2 (On Amazon Video; Re-watch to catch up for Season 3)
    - Better Call Saul, Seasons 1-2 (Season 1 on Netflix, Season 2 on Amazon Video; First time watching)
    - Breaking Bad, Seasons 1-5 (On Netflix; First time watching)
    - Avatar: The Last Airbender, Books 1-3 (DVDs; Yearly Re-watch)

    To watch list:
    - Bionicle – Netflix Series (On Netflix; First time watching)
    - Korra, Books 1-4 (DVDs; Yearly Re-watch)

Okay, I think that about sums it up on that topic. XD If you have any media (TV Shows, Movies, etc) that you think I should check out, please do let me know.

With that said, I think that’s enough from me for today. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for taking the time to read this.

P.S. – If anyone needs the Pokemon Volcanion, let me know since I have a few (6) extra code cards up for grabs.

You have till 11:30 PM EST today to grab one of these shirts...

The Shirt Giveaway is officially over! Thanks to all that took part in it.

    Hey, folks.

As mention in my last few entries, I have a bunch of BZPower shirts that I brought from Brappy Hour's leftover shirts lot awhile back (Like two or so years ago, to be exact. XD). And well, I figure its about time that I put them up for grabs for you folks that miss out on them or just couldn't afford them at the time, etc.

So yeah, here's the list of shirts up for grabs:

    - 6 5 4 Small 2012 BZP Shirts - Claimed by Black Six (1), Naina (1) > 4 Left

    - 1 Large 2013 BZP Shirt - Claimed by Makuta Luroka > All Gone!

    - 7 6 5 4 Small 2014 BZP Shirts - Claimed by Nescent (1), Lucina (1), Unit (1) > 4 Left

The shirts are free and there is no charge for shipping (I will also ship overseas if needed.).

Also I did not create these shirts (Brappy Hour did and is currently creating a Piraka theme shirt for this year's BrickFair VA) and I cannot recreate them, so what you see above is all I have.

So if you are interest in one of these shirts, please leave a comment to let me know which one and what size.

That's about it. Oh, wait, I almost forgot to mention this... If I still I have shirts leftover by July 4th 11th, I will closed this blog entry and drop off whatever leftover to a nearby Purple Heart station, so you have till July 4th 11th to claim one of these shirts.

Okay, that's all I got to say for this entry. Once again, if you want one of the shirts, please leave a comment letting me know which one and what size. Oh, and thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

P.S. - I just finished Season 1 of Netflix's Daredevil series. I got say it is interesting and I'll definitely be checking out Season 2 after I check out Jessica Jones since I been I told I should watch that first. Which I guess I probably watch first episode of that before I go to bed today. *yawn*

Hey, folks. It’s time for yearly tradition of telling you folks how my birthday went today.

Like last year’s entry, there is really not a lot to share since this is a week day, so it was basically just a normal work day.

Well, I guess I should say it is a boring work day since we are so slow now that I am just creating a list of critical parts and helping a coworker review old hard copies of drawings. So yeah, things hadn’t been great at work this month and last month, to be honest.

Additionally, my job hunt hasn’t been going well and honestly I am pretty doubtful of my chances of finding a job in my field after my failed interview (Its first interview that I had in 6 years.) in February.

So yesterday wasn’t the greatest 6th year anniversary of working for this company. Here’s hoping that things will improve as the year goes on.

But anyway, since there isn’t a lot to share about today, I guess I’ll make this a more general life entry. To start off, last week I end up watching most of Marvel Cinematic Universe films for first time (I seen Iron Man 1, Ant-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy previously.).

That was pretty fun and I definitely can understand the appeal of these films. I also enjoy them more than DC multi-verse films (Man of Steel & Batman v Superman) that I saw recently, which is saying something since I know more about DC’s heroes than Marvel’s heroes.

Hm... I guess I’ll rank the films from favorite to least since I feel like sharing that information. Here’s the list:

    1) Guardians of the Galaxy
    2) Captain America: The Winter Solider
    3) Captain America: The First Avenger
    4) The Avengers
    5) Ant-Man
    6) Avengers: Age of Ultron
    7) Iron Man 3
    8) Iron Man
    9) Thor: The Dark World
    10) Thor
    11) Iron Man 2
    12) The Incredible Hulk

And well, I like the films so much that I decided to give the TV shows a look as well. I am currently watching season 1 of Agents of SHIELD, which I got say it is interesting so far (Especially now that we caught up with the Winter Solider in the timeline.). I actually might finish season 1 today since I only got like three episodes left to watch. XD

So yeah, that’s what I been up to with my free time lately; Binge-watching media as usual. XD I wish I could say I play some video games recently, but I hadn’t really play any since Stardew Valley (I was nearing the end of summer for Year 1) over two weeks ago.

Actually I guess Miitomo & KHUx count as games. I mean I use Miitomo daily for the coins and KHUx, I try to get on it at least once a week. Although my phone’s battery life is suffering because of these games that I am considering maybe getting a tablet next month, so I don’t kill my phone as much.

I am also having memory space issues since my SIM card is only 8 GB and I am not sure what I can delete to make space since not everything will transfer over to my micro-SD card. So yeah, I am probably going to be looking at tablets next month, so I can at least transfer KHUx over since that game is like 1 GB in size.

That’s my free time lately in a nutshell really. I guess while I have you here, I’ll make some BZPower related announcements.

First up, sometime next month I am going to set up a BZP shirt giveaway since I got a bunch of those in storage right now. So yeah, if you want one of Bionicle Raptor’s old BZP shirts, be on the lookout for that next month.

I also got some other goodies, but I am saving those for possible contest that I might do during my BZP anniversary in July. So yeah, it should be interesting, assuming I get all details for that in order by July.

Last bit of news is BrickFair VA related… I am probably not going to be there this year since realistically I am not ready to do such a long drive alone just yet. Its stinks, but maybe next year. *shrugs*

Hm... I guess before I go, I'll mention what I got for my birthday today, so here's short list of what I got:

    - Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (from my one real life friend)
    - Bravely Second: End Layer (from my one real life friend)
    - LEGO Marvel's Avengers (on Steam and from my one real life friend)
    - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (on Steam and from my one real life friend)
    - Cake and Grilled Cheese (from family)
    - Cards (from family)

Alright, that's enough from me for today. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Oh, and thanks to those people that wished me a happy birthday. I appreciated it.

Hey, folks. I thought I would pop in and give a quick life update.

First off, I got a car! (Its a 2013 Honda Civic, to be exact.) And obviously I am pretty excited about that as I feel that it is going to open up a lot of doors for me (Job opportunities, going to places by myself, ect) this year.

And well, I am now itching to like go places, which is odd since usually l just someone that goes to work and just go home and that's it. *shrugs* I don't know. I find it hard not to daydream about traveling places, even though I definitely need more experience on the road before I do anything big like travel out of state, ect.

Actually I guess its not too surprising, I mean I was daydreaming about the stuff like that before I even had a car too. XD Speaking of that entry, I am probably going hold off on gym idea until I get a better idea what my monthly budget will be like.

In other news, I got two of my wisdom teeth taken out last Friday. To say least, it wasn't a very fun experience (And well, I kind regret not going to sleep since my gag reflex acted up a lot... Mostly due my nerves to be honest. Only good thing that came out doing it this way is I saved $400; so yeah, my wallet is happy at least.).

That being say (outside of first day), I am not really in any pain after the operation, so that's good. Really the only annoying thing right now is having to take penicillin since I can't swallow pills and penicillin tastes terrible. So yeah, that's not fun.

Beside that news, I guess I'll mention that I got couple of LEGO sets. I got say the Ninjago one is really cool. I don't know the story for that year (Since I am couple years or so behind in story), but it looks really cool and that dragon was fun to build (Officially it also second Ninjago set that I own. XD Also I really hope I can get this one before it disappears from LEGO Shop.).

As for BIONICLE one, I am continually impressed with the builds that we are getting with Generation 2 so far. I think my only complain about it is that torso gear function isn't as interesting as last year's swing arm gear function. *shrugs*

Alright, that's about it really. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

So as title say, I have a driving test (First that I ever taken in the five or so years that I had a driving permit...) tomorrow...

And well, I must admit I am feeling rather nervous about it, even though I do seen have been doing good the past few days during practice.

Oh, man, I really hope I don't screw up tomorrow...

In less stressing out news, I discovered that we apparently had some free movie ticket passes lying around and well, my sister wants to see Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (She hasn't seen it yet), so I'll be check it out again with her this weekend. It should be fun, especially since I still in such a Star Wars mood lately. *excited* (Reminder: You can suggest Star Wars media for me to check out here)

Alright, that's enough of this random life update. Hopefully things go well with that test tomorrow... If not, at least there's Star Wars. XD

But anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a great day today. I'll talk you later, BZPers.

Update 01/08/2016: Well, this year is starting off good. I passed the driver's test today!!!

I am just awe-struck now... I can't believe it that I really passed the test. But well, I guess its about time since I had a learner's permit for like five or so years now. XD

I guess the next step is to look into possible cars now, which is probably going to take awhile since I have no idea what car to even look into getting at this point (Well, I think of maybe looking at some used Ford Fiesta, so I guess that's a start).

This is certainly going be interesting year now that I can actually drive myself to places now (once I have a car and insurance). Who knows maybe if I do go to BrickFair VA again, I could try to drive myself down, assuming of course that I feel comfortable enough on the highway to do so (I'll admit I doubt that I will comfortable do that by this summer, but maybe in the distant future. *shrugs*).

But anyway, that's enough day-dreaming about future possibilities. Thanks for all the well wishes on the test today and for taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a great day today.

    Talk to you later, BZPers.

PS - I can't wait to watch Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens tomorrow. *excited*
  7. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folk. Yesterday was last day of my work break, so I thought I should continue the tradition of recapping my break for you folks here.

Although to be honest, it was really unproductive break from work (Like there was a lot of organizing and cleaning that I want to do, but I never got around to.). Still it nice though, especially looking after a rabbit for few days (I must admit that I liked having Coco around. It was nice having company.).

Beside watching the rabbit during my break, I also watched through the entirety of Star Wars: The Clone Wars for mostly the first time (I should note that Season 1-3, I have seen before. Season 4-6 though were completely new to me though). And I liked it so much that I end up checking out Star Wars: Rebels for first time afterwards (I just finished doing that yesterday actually and I must say I am quite enjoying it.) and man, I can't wait for rest of Season 2 of Rebels.

So yeah, to summarized, I been in quite a Star Wars mood for most of my break (Not surprising since I had seen the Force Awakens on 18th, which was the week just before my break started.). XD

Really I am still in a Star Wars mood, so I love to hear suggestions from you folks about other Star Wars media (Comics, Books, Games, ect) that I should check out. Its doesn't necessary have be from the new "canon" stuff. You can certainly suggest something from the Legends canon, if you want. So far, I been suggested the following things to check out:

    - Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir Comics (Which apparently is TCW story)
    - Kanan - The Last Padawan Comics (Which is backstory for Kanan from Star Wars: Rebels)
    - Lords of the Sith
    - Lost Stars

Uh, outside of that, I did some practice for my driving test during the break as well. I must admit part of me doesn't feel very confidence about taking it this Friday (8th). But well, I did do pretty good yesterday, so I don't know. Maybe there's hope that I will pass it. Although if I do passed, I have literally no idea on what car I should look into getting in the first place, so I probably be searching for months on that. XD *shrugs*

Alright, one last thing before I go, I just want to apologize for not getting at least one gift for most of people on my Steam friend list this year. Steam was having some issues on the day that I trying to buy some stuff during the sale, so I kind of mostly avoided sales after that as it scared me. XD So I am sorry if I didn't get you a holiday gift this year, but I hope you folks had a good holiday.

That's pretty much everything happened during my break. Like I say earlier, I wasn't very productive. I would ramble more about stuff, but I don't want take anymore of your time.

So thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a great day today. I'll talk you later, BZPers.

  8. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. It's that time of year again, when I am off from work for about a week.

Really there isn't much to report life wise since my last entry.

I guess I'll talk briefly about work, although there is not much to report as things are still kind of slow there (as mention in this entry). So yeah, it hasn't been a great year for my company.

I would say things seem to be improving though. I mean I had plenty of work to do this month (I currently have like three ongoing assembly projects going.), so I can't complain.

That and well, I hadn't had much luck in job hunting front. Actually I guess that's not entirely true as I did have a company that was interest in possibly interviewing me. I have to turn it down though since it was a bit too far out for me (About an hour or so drive) and well, I don't have driver license.

Even if I did have license, I don't think I am ready to move out on my own like that at this point. As well, I find the thought of being on my own like that kind of terrifying, to be honest...

So yeah, that's how work related stuff been lately. I guess since I mention driving, I might as well mention that I have scheduled a driving test for January 8th. I must admit I am rather nervous about that...

Hm... I guess I'll share my brief thoughts on Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens next since I saw it last Friday. Obviously I won't be sharing any spoiler related stuff since I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But basically I love it and I can't wait for Episode VIII. Honestly I wish I could go and see it again. XD

Uh, beside that stuff, apparently I have to watch a rabbit for my brother until 28th since he got one for his girlfriend (She had a rabbit before), so that's going to be adventure. I also relate to her (the rabbit) on spiritual level about being nervous about new environments (She was pretty nervous on Tuesday. She getting used things though.). I was clearly a rabbit in a previous life. =P

Oh, her name is Coco. Also I must admit I like having her company, so I'll probably be sad to see her go on 28th.

That's about it really. I am not sure what I'll be doing with my free time this holiday break. I guess watching the rabbit, practicing driving mostly, and maybe playing a video game or two.

Speaking of video games, I actually just finished a game called Aviary Attorney recently. I quite enjoyed it. It is pretty similar to Ace Attorney series, but a bit more involved in terms of investigation (Like you can actually miss stuff, especially in Case 3). I would say more, but I am reserving my full thoughts until they release third alternate ending (Act 4C). Please let me know if you guys want me to share my full thoughts on it here when that happens.

Another video game worth mention is LEGO Dimensions. I got that last weekend (I hadn't had the chance to play with it yet.) among a few of the packs since it was on sale (That and the Best Buy Gamers Club 20% off thing apparently apply to it and figures, even though it was on sale already.). So I should probably check that out during my break.

And well, obviously I am going to be playing Xenoblade Chronicles X during my break since I been itching to do that.

Alright, well, that's all I really have to say here. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a great day today. I'll talk you later, BZPers.

Oh, and Happy Holidays to those that are celebrating a holiday this week.

    - JMJ 2015
  9. Jedi Master J.
Hey, BZPers. This is a bit late, but yesterday was my tenth year anniversary of being BZPower and well, since it is milestone, I thought I would do something special for the day.

Now originally I was planning on maybe doing a contest for this milestone. But since I am going to BrickFair VA this year, I thought it would be a better idea to play things a bit more safe. So what did I do instead then?

Well, I purchased this a bit earlier in the month and I thought I should share this piece of history with everyone. I should note the VHS tape have nothing of value as it was nothing but static and weird noises (If it did have anything of value, I was planning on giving the footage to BZP.).

So yeah, here's the scanned copy of the two books: BIONICLE - Style Guide (Note: You will have download this one as its too big to show up on Google Docs) & BIONICLE - Synopsis.

There was also two CDs in the Style Guide binder, although as far as I can tell there is nothing in them that binder doesn't already shown. The CDs are basically just a digital version of the Style Guide (But well, it is not in format that I think I can share with others easily unfortunately.).

The CDs do give me access to images reference in the Style Guide's Gallery, so if you want me to upload those somewhere for you folks, just let me know.

Oh, and the Market Material section in Style Guide was empty and I guessing it was taken out by LEGO maybe. Most of Style Guide has the stuff that we already knew about 2001 thru 2003. There are some errors here and there such as some Kanohi Nuva Mask descriptions being next to wrong images and it uses what I assume was prototype name for Mask of Light at the time.

As for BIONICLE - Synopsis, one interesting thing about that document is that it shows Greg's version of Shadow Toa defeat (I am not sure if he wrote that document though.), which I think is sort of new as that version of defeat was only mention in a guide book before as Cathy Hapka did not use that idea and chose the "switching opponent" method instead.

That's all I think that's worth mentioning. I hope you folks like it. And thank you BZPower for ten years of great memories. Here's to ten more years. XD

Alright, that's enough from me for today. Talk to you later, BZPers.

  10. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. It’s been awhile since my last blog entry here, so I thought pop in and give a little recap on last month or so. Really there’s not a lot to talk about since for most part, last month was rather uneventful.

I mean I did go to Zelda Symphony last month and had a great time. But I don’t really have much to share about the event though, outside of a couple minor things (I didn’t throw up like at Pokemon Symphony 2014 or BrickFair VA 2015, so that’s good. And I burnt my tongue on some fries that day, so that wasn’t great as my tongue felt all weird for entire of symphony and I didn’t realize why till later. XD)

Outside of that though, I just have been back on the normal work routine, which thankfully has start to pick up last month. I don’t know if I mention this here, but work has been dreadfully slow during July & August after we made the change to the new work schedule (Due our chief customer [boeing] not giving us as much production orders, we had overtime hours cut, so our employer wouldn’t have to laid anyone off.).

So it feels like a good sign that things did start to pick up last month. Mind you, we are still on the “No Overtime” schedule and honestly I doubt that’s going to change anytime soon. Additionally I will admit I have been sending my resume out to places since I don’t want to be caught off guard, if they do have laid people off.

So yeah, that’s my work situation at the moment. I could probably ramble more about work here (Such as one of my co-workers being like the Saint of Food Giving… Honestly that co-worker might just be most generous person I have ever met.), but I doubt my ramblings about work will interest you folks.

Let’s move on to something else. Hm… What else did I do last month? Well, I played the awesome indie game, Undertale (So far I only got one of the neutral endings since I hadn’t done a second run yet.). Honestly I could gush over how much I like this game, but I am sure you folks have all heard that already from others here and elsewhere on the internet, so I’ll spare you.

I will say this though that I highly recommend checking it out (If you on the fence about it, you should give the demo a look.) and well, if anyone on my Steam’s friends list wants the game, be sure to let me know and I might just sent you a copy of the game.

Besides playing Undertale, I also started playing Mass Effect 1 (for first time) since by some stroke of luck; my computer “magically” is able to run after I had finished my first playthrough of Undertale.

Just to clarified, my previous attempts to play Mass Effect 1 always result in the game minimizing itself, so I don’t think my computer really couldn’t run it per say. But I certainly don’t know why it did that before or why it works now. (I have a similar issue with Knights of the Old Republic game, which kind of why I still hadn't beat that game. That and well, I am not a fan of the combat in that game. *shrugs*) It’s a mystery.

But anyway, my Mass Effect character is named Jamie Shepard (I named her after my Undertale character).

She’s an Engineer class soldier and her backstory is spacer and war hero. Although in hindsight, I think I should made her a “Lone Survivor” since I am pretty terrible at the controls in this game (I wish this game had controller support. XD), so occasionally my squad member dies and I have to reload my last save (This game definitely has got me in the habit of saving often like I do in Pokemon games. XD).

Garrus and Wrex are so far my favorite squad members (I have brought Wrex with me on almost 100% of side missions that I have done so far).

I am currently at the point where you are give free roam of galaxy for first time. So yeah, I am not too far really.

I mostly just been doing side quests since well, I want to explore the galaxy before I continue the main story stuff. And man, there are a lot of side quests and so many stories to collect about planets and stuff (I really love world building in this game.).

Oh, and here are my Shepard’s current stats and stuff.

XD Yeah, I know I am probably investing my points in all the wrong things. Like I probably should put more points into First Aid and Pistols (Especially since that’s only gun that I am trained in since I am an Engineer class.).

Alright, I rambled enough about last month. I am sure there are things that I forgot to mention in this entry, but I feel like I have kept you folks here long enough.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

PS - Just remember I forgot to mention something here... I started watching Gravity Falls & Steven Universe last month as well. I must say I see why people like these shows as I am now pretty hooked on seeing what happens next in both of them. XD

  13. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. I am back one more time to share some stuff from the vacation last week. I promise I won't talk about it anymore after this entry. So yeah, this is my last entry on the subject (until next year, if I go again). If you hadn't read my day recap, here are some links: Days 1, 2+3, 4, 5

But anyway, enough talk, here's some links to my BrickFair VA pictures:

    - BIONICLE
    - Mixed
    - Mosaic
    - Towns

Apologizes for quality of pictures, these were taken from my TracFone phone and my hands also kind shake a lot when people are nearby, so that doesn't help things either. Oh, and I don't think I got everything (I do think that I got most of BIONICLE Table though), so if you want better coverage of it, you should just wait for BZPower's. I mean they are going to better photos anyway (And it will probably be better organized as I threw a lot into a Mixed folder.).

Beside those pictures, I have some from Air & Space Museum, if you are interested. Here's a link to Airplane stuff and Space stuff.

I think that's all I needed to share really. I mean I don't want to ramble too much as I am sure you guys are sick of me by now. I am sorry for that. Oh, here's my painting from Nuyaka. And here's what my Brick Badge looked like, if you hadn't seen it yet.

Okay, one last thing to share and I'll be gone, its a bit random, but I had this again with me at BrickFair VA. I had it with me mostly because I was considering the idea of giving people a TNG Miru, if they wanted it (I mean I did buy these Miru to give people, after all. Not to hoard in a canister for myself.). That and well, maybe have people sign the comic. I never follow through with that idea. Maybe I'll try again next year. *shrugs*

Alright, that's enough rambling about stuff. I'll go back to feeling alone and stuff (And well, watching Original Star Trek since I started that today.). Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all are having a good weekend. Talk to you later, BZPers.

P.S. - I'll be checking out Zelda Symphony again in September. I can't wait. It should be a fun Friday evening.
  14. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. I am back home now, so I thought I would pop back in and give one last little recap of BrickFair VA here.

So as you all probably know already, yesterday was last day of BrickFair VA. So what I do that day? Well, like I said in previous entry, I went in a bit later (Around 1:20 PM) for public hours as well, I didn't feel like standing near my MOCs for another six hours as honestly that can get a bit tiring on the legs after awhile. Also as mentioned earlier, my friend didn't come over that day as he was pretty sore from the laser tag thing, so I guess you could say yesterday was kind what it would been like if I took the trip alone (Although I would argued that I likely shut myself in the hotel room a lot during the first couple of days.).

But anyway, when I arrived there, I saw that Makuta Luroka and his friend were already there and they had chairs, so I guess they did the smart thing and figure out where to get chairs at (I didn't do that since I had no idea who to ask and I didn't want to take chairs from more popular area.). Since it looked like they got things mostly covered, I just chilled there and sat on the floor occasionally.

Eventually I kind of decided to just play Animal Crossing: New Leaf since I was barely getting any Miis in my plaza. I spent a bit of time removing weeds from the town, removing the bugs from my house, and clearing out streetpass home thing.

At some point while I was doing this, I was graced by the presence of BZPower resident dinosaur expert, Jess. That was pretty cool. Although I guess I might have intimidate or shock her a little when I say goodbye to her at the end of convention. I am sorry if I did, I just thought I should say good bye to you is all.

Sometime after meeting Jess, Makuta Luroka had to go, so I say my goodbyes to the awesome dude. And well, I decided I might as well use the chair since he wasn't coming back and all. And little bit after that, Team Farm Animals crew came over to do their hatpile thing in the corner. They needed a chair, so I thought I might as well give to them as I was pretty used to standing by now, so I gave it to them.

And just before they decided to do this, Makuta Luroka MOC (Like I mention last time, that MOC is really top heavy.) fell over again. I was just leave it be since I don't really have permission to touch it. But while Team Farm Animals were doing their thing, someone from public told me to fix it, so I gently put it back up.

So while Team Farm Animals did their thing, I just continue watching over the MOCs basically. XD They ended up doing two versions since apparently they missed some hats. After they were done with that, they head back to area. Although AT and Lady K apparently held back as Lady K apparently noticed that MOCs I was standing near were in fact mines (Lady K knows my real name since I am one of her patrons, which I originally kept that a secret from her and everyone since I didn't want attention for that really. But I kind of let the cat of the bag about that a couple of months ago. XD), so she decided to look at them.

Apparently she liked the design of Matoro One and AT like my Kolhii Team names, so that was nice. Thanks for that. At the some point after that, Lady K ask if she could do a selfie with me for some reason (I guess for memory's sake, although why I am worth remembering is beyond me.). Now personally I am not a fan of people taking pictures of me (Much like I am not fan of people entering my personal space to do something like a hug. *shrugs*), but I decided to let her since I didn't see any harm in it really.

After that, I was left on my own and just did what I did during Saturday Public Hours mostly, which is be kind and friendly to the public people. At some point, a mother and daughter attendee shown up to sit near their MOCs (Apparently their MOCs were right next to mines and all.) and I decide to give my seat to the mother as I am used standing by now,

And well, I end up having a bit a conversation with her and her daughter. It was interesting. Uh, usually I am terrible at small talk, but I did well there for what its worth. (If only I was good at that when I talk to with BZPers here.) I guess offering someone a chair is good way to start a conversation. XD

So I did for that awhile and eventually when there wasn't anymore conversations going on, I decide to head over to where Aanchir was sitting as I thought I was on a roll with be sociable and I didn't really get talk much to him throughout this trip (Which I thought was kind of surprising as I like Chir Bros and all), so I decided to do that. It was interesting conversation. I asked if he was having good BrickFair VA, which he say yes to. Although naturally he was sad as it is last day and he won't see a lot of people again until next year (I can't blame him for feeling that way really.).

Oh, I like his metaphor of me being like Kellam from Fire Emblem: Awakening as it is very true that I was forgotten a lot. XD Although I can't blame people as I wasn't there a lot during Wednesday through Fridays. That and let's be honest I am pretty dull person in general as I did spent good part of BrickFair VA pacing around when I was there. XD

After that, I kind let him go back to rest and head back to my section. I talked a bit more with mother and daughter pair. Eventually the public ended and the mother and daughter pair decided to start packing up their MOCs as they were planning on leaving to get a meal and come back for Closing Ceremonies. Before they left, I realized I never did tell them my name (Its not JMJ obviously.), so I did that.

And well, I was alone again, so I packed up my MOCs for Black Six and gave them to him (Please tell me you took that box, Black Six. I am kind of scared that you left it.). I attended the closing ceremonies. Not much say about that since I wasn't lucky. XD

After that ended, I was kind like "I guess I should leave." I mean I want to say good bye to Chir Brothers, but I wasn't sure where to find them. I ended up saying good bye to Sumiki and Pablo though. Also oddly I have no problem with Pablo hugging me good bye (I am not sure why exactly. I must of been in a real good mood that day.). Then again, I was going to hug Sumiki, if he wasn't holding a box. XD

The last person at the convention that I said good bye to was Jess. I apologize again, I just thought I should say good bye to you is all.

After that, I kind headed back to hotel and I thought that was going be it for the day. But I kind offer online that if anyone want to say good bye to me. I could meet them in the lobby at the some point. And Black Six let me know that they meeting there anyway before they headed off to their fancy dinner. I wasn't going to go to dinner though as I didn't pack anything for that and I am a really pick eater (Trust me, my friend can confirmed this.).

Still I went down to say good bye to people, if they want say bye to me and stuff. And well, I met ChocolateFrogs and Not Makaru in that lobby. That was interesting. Especially ChocolateFrogs, who for some reason was trying to hunt me down or something. He never explain the reasoning for that really.

But he kind of left before I can find out why, so I never did. And then more professionally dressed adults show up, Black Six shook my hand, and that was it. I say good bye. I went back to elevator to go to my room on third floor. I ate some pizza (My friend had brought Pizza, while I was away at the convention) and watch some Youtube stuff.

That was last day of BrickFair VA for me. Overall I thought it was pretty fun trip. I got to meet some cool people, check out the Air & Space Museum, see a cool movie (Ant-Man), had a conversation with some people, saw some cool creations, ect.

Would I go again? I am not sure at this point. It is certainly possible. Although it wasn't very cheap by any means (I mean hotel stay cost like $582.40! Oh, that's going to be fun paying off at the end of the month.). So if there was any reason not to go would be money related really. *shrugs*

And well, my friend did have a good time during the trip, so it is possible that we might do it again. Or I might do it on own. We'll see, I guess. Its still a year away, so it is hard to say either way at this point.

Alright, that's enough rambling. I'll probably have my pictures and stuff up later in the week as I am too tired to deal with that now.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have great week. Talk to you later, BZPers.

  15. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. I thought I would give another BrickFair update before I start the last day of BrickFair.

Really there's not a whole lot to recap as outside of watching over some MOCs during the public hours and answer people's questions, if they had any. Well, I answered them to best of my abilities as I don't know everything (I am like John Snow... I know nothing. XD), especially about other people's MOCs, where I am like "Yeah, that's a snake." XD

One person even ask me if we were payed to be show our stuff here and when I actually explain that we payed to be here, let's just say they looked at me like I had two heads as if it was that abnormal for people to do that. *shrugs*

Still though, public hours weren't bad really. I enjoy seeing people's faces beam when they saw the MOCs on display. The Makuta Luroka MOC (It is very top heavy) was definitely the most popular at the table I watched (It is pretty awesome looking MOC. Much better than my stuff, that's for sure.).

Oh, and I got to meet the person, Makuta Luroka, as well. That was pretty cool. He also holds the record for longest period of talking to me. Congrats, you beat AT. XD

I also met someone from BZP that go by Unit, I think. I am not sure if that is right though as it was kind of hard to hear him. But he had asked me where to find Bionicle Raptor (Or Brappy Hour as he has been known as since last year, I think.), but I have no idea what he looked, so I wasn't much help really. Sorry.

There was some other BZPers around too, but I didn't really meet them, so I don't know who they are on BZP really.

Oh, I met DeeVee for second time (High five him even) and met Nuyaka for first time as they delivered the a painting commission thing that I brought from Nuyaka back in December (It was holiday charity BrickLink thing.), so that was cool. I'll upload a photo of it when I am home tomorrow (Although if you are impatience, just check my Twitter as I upload a photo of it there already.).

Its basically just a painting of Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening as a Minifigure. I think it looks fantastic and I look forward to bring it home. Thanks again, Nuyaka.

Outside of public hours, the only thing that I attended was Laser Tag party thing, which I must admit that I wasn't the most comfortable there really. My friend had good time at laser tag though, so that's good (Although unfortunately now it hurts all over when they move, so they might not be with me today due to that.).

I can't say I was very good at it though as I didn't have a clue what I was doing really. XD Overall, it wasn't a bad evening really and I enjoyed the slice of Pizza, I ate. Thanks for pizza & laser tag, BZPower. Sorry, I wasn't very talkative there. I just don't know what to say to people really.

But anyway, after laser tag thing, we head back to hotel room and honestly I was pretty tired from the day at that point, so I just went bed around 7 PM. So yesterday is most sleep that I got all week really. XD

That was Saturday basically. I can't think of anything else to mention really.

Before I go, I guess I'll mention my plan for today. At the moment, I am planning on heading over around 1:30 PM and well, I probably be there till closing ceremonies (Although I might step out for dinner, ect.). My friend might not be with me since he is pretty sore from yesterday.

Alright, that's enough rambling. I guess I'll see some of you folks later. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have great week.

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and let you know how day one of BrickFair went. Honestly I didn't do much really, outside of walk around the convention center a lot since I wasn't sure really what to do really after setting up my MOCs (Which I am not sure they are in the right place. I mean the map say its a BIONICLE table, but I have heard Pop Culture want the space, so I wouldn't be surprise if it got moved. *shrugs*). Oh, and fail a lot at Bingo.

It was nice though getting to see some BZPers in person. Mind you, it is not the first time for such people like Aanchir, Lyichir, Team Farm Animals, and Black Six. But well, I got meet people like Lady K, Vezok's Friend, TLH, Turakii, and TLH's & Turakii's kid (Adorable child, btw) for first time, which was cool. Although I was pretty deer in headlights around them. Sorry.

But overall, I would say it was good first day (It was pretty exhausting day too. XD). I mean I did vomit in a Burger King parking, but honestly that's par for the course considering it always happens when I do anything new really.

That's about it really. Uh, I guess I will see some of you folks again on Friday since I won't be in today as I am going to being checking out some sights and stuff today with my friend. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have great week.

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and give update since BrickFair VA tomorrow. Man, today was a whirlwind of day preparing for that (I am glad that I decided months ago to take off today from work. It was definitely was needed.). XD

But well, I managed to get all my luggage ready. I got some of our schedule a bit more nailed down (Admittedly I would like to have done that a bit sooner than today, but my friend was busy last weekend.), which I guess I will share here really quick:

    Wednesday
    - Leaving at 10 AM (Originally it was going to be 7 AM... But due to the check in time, we kind had to change that plan as we probably would gotten there at like 9:30 AM, which means we would have keep our luggage in hot car for quite a few hours as we can't check in till 3 PM. However according to phone conservation, the earliest check in without an additional charge is 1 PM.).
    - Arrival Time in Virginia be around 12:50 PM (Assuming there is not too much traffic and stuff)
    - Have a quick lunch, then head to hotel to check in (As mention before, it should be around 1 PM at that point)
    - After checking in and carrying our stuff to the room, we will probably take a rest in hotel room for a bit
    - Currently we shooting to head over to convention center around 3 PM and well, we should be there for most of day after that (We might step out for a quick dinner at some point)

    Thursday
    - The plan right now is to skip the convention day and check out some of local stuff like the Air & Space Museum, ect.

    Friday
    - I am not completely sure about, but I think we will be around later in the day for convention. *shrugs*

    Saturday
    - I should be around most of public hours (I might step out for like meal or something). I am not sure about after that as we were talking about idea of maybe checking out the laser tag event thing. Although my friend is not BZPower member, so I am not sure if he would be allow to come with (I mean we would both pay the fee to go and all.). *shrugs*

    Sunday
    - Again, I should be around for public hours and closing ceremonies stuff. That and I will be around to help with MOC tear down stuff obviously (Which I assume I give my MOCs off to Black Six after that as I am letting BZP take them to BrickFair NJ).

That's about it really. I look forward to meeting you awesome folks and getting to experience a little what like behind the table. Hopefully I won't be a total social failure there.

Uh, I guess I will see some of you folks later. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have great week.

  18. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. I thought pop back in today and let you all know how things are going this week. Mostly in terms of a BrickFair VA stuff as hey, the trip next week, so its time to run around like a headless chicken as I try make sure I have everything ready. XD

Before I start on that though, I thought I take a moment and wish BZPower a happy birthday since I hadn't done that yet.

    Happy Birthday, BZPower!

As I mention in my previous entry, thank you for so many years of great memories and here's to many more.

Alright, with that done, let's back on to the topic of BrickFair VA. First up, I decided on what MOCs that I will be bringing with me. Originally I was going to ship them, but I kind decided last week that I would just bring them with me since it will save money on shipping cost. That and I kind got sidetracked working on my tenth year anniversary gift to BZPower.

So yeah, I am bring my MOCs with me, which is probably for the best since it would be kind weird going to a LEGO convention without any LEGO on you (It also avoids me having awkwardly ask Black Six if I could help with my MOCs. XD). Really I only issue that I have with my MOCs (Beside, the fact that they are not that good.) at the moment is I am struggling to think of names for them.

It mostly an issue because I need to fill out the forms for both BZPower and BrickFair VA website (Yes, I am aware I won't get MOC Cards since I miss the deadline, but you can still registered there. However I do need to at least do BZPower convention form as I plan on letting BZPower take them to next convention.).

Beside that MOC stuff, I believe I am mostly ready for the trip (Although I must admit I am kind of nervous already.). I am going to head to the bank tomorrow to get some cash for the trip and pay my rent obviously (Next month's bills are going to be fun to pay... XD). I also got my BIONILUG brick ready, so it finally have a use next week.

Schedule wise, we will be coming down on Wednesday. I am not sure when we will get there exactly, but I am guessing we will be in Virgina by noon or a little earlier (It depends on traffic really.). Although we won't be at convention center till after 3 PM since we can't check into hotel until 3 PM, according to website. So we are probably going to kill some time by checking out the Air and Space Museum nearby.

Based on my last conversation with my friend, we are probably skip out on Thursday to check out other things nearby and Friday, we will be around during the afternoon hours. As for Saturday and Sunday, we should be there for most of those days as far as I am aware.

That's the basic schedule for our trip. I am going to try nail it down some more this weekend with my friend, so if anything changes I let you folks know.

That's about it really. I can't think of anything else to mention, although I probably did forget something. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

P.S. - Check out my 10th anniversary gift, if you hadn't already.
  19. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. I thought I would take the opportunity today to share some of my thoughts on this year’s E3.

    Bethesda - Overview

So first up is Bethesda since they were the first conference, I saw this year.

Now I got to be honest I am not really that familiar with Bethesda. I mean I hadn’t play any of their games before (Although I do “own” Dishonored & Skyrim on Steam. I just hadn’t gotten around to playing either of those game.), so I am not sure really how to judge their conference as I had no expectations for it.

Therefore, I would probably take my thoughts here as a grain of salt really. Not that I really had a problem with conference. I actually thought they did pretty well in terms of coverage for the games.

Although personally I can’t say I care for some of their games (Such as Doom & The Elder Scrolls: Legends). Really the only games from the event that interested me were Dishonored 2 and Fallout 4.

I care about Dishonored 2 mostly because while I have not play the first game yet, I am familiar with the game since I did watch a Let’s Play of it (By Youtuber, Jesse Cox, for those wondering.), so I am glad to hear there will be another game in that universe. And well, the trailer was pretty awesome and shown off Emily as a playable character.

As for Fallout 4, I mostly care abut it due to high levels customization shown off in the trailer and because it looks like it could be fun. *shrugs* I admit I am not completely sold it since it does feel kind weird jumping into a series at fourth installment. Hopefully it will be easy to get into, if I do consider getting it in the future.

Alright, that's all I have say on Bethesda conference. Oh, and feel free to suggest some Bethesda PC games to me since like I say I hadn't play any games from them before, so I am interested to hear if there are any that I should check out. Thanks in advance.

    Microsoft - Overview

Next up is Microsoft conference and I'll admit I am not fan of Microsoft really. It mostly because they kind of "killed" Rare Studios. So with that biased in mind, I would say their conference was alright.

They actually showcase some interesting indie stuff. But outside of that, I was kind bored with their presentation, especially when they were talking about Halo or that car game. XD

Uh, the games that interested me (if I had an Xbox One) were the following:
    - ReCore
    - Beyond Eyes (Hoping for PC release)
    - Tacoma (Again, hoping for PC release)
    - Cuphead
    - Rare Replay
    - Sea of Thieves

Outside of that, the HoloLens presentation was kind cool. I am interested to see what might come from that technology.

Another cool thing that they announced the Xbox One will now be backward compatibility (It feel a bit late) with Xbox 360. I mean it doesn't interest me personally as I own neither system, but it was a nice thing for Microsoft to do.

Alright, that's all I have say about Microsoft.

Electronic Art & Ubisoft - Overview

I hadn't watched either of these two, so I can't really comment on how they did or if there was any games that I was interested in. Uh, I don't feel like watching either of them right now. XD

So I guess that sums up my thoughts on them pretty well. Uh, I might update this later with some thoughts. In the meantime, you are welcome to share what you thought was great about those conferences here.

    Sony - Overview

Okay, it is time for thoughts on Sony conference. Now unlike Microsoft, I like Sony. Mostly because they seem to have a lot more variety when it comes to games (That and well, the Kingdom Hearts series is primarily on their systems. XD).

Although I should note that I don't own a PS4 and I have no intention of getting one till at Kingdom Hearts III has been released, assuming it actually end up on PS4. =P

But anyway, enough about my bias, personally I thought Sony did the best out of these E3 conferences. Like I really felt like they hit it out of park with these cool titles: The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and No Man's Sky.

They also announce stuff like a remake for FFVII and a sequel to an old Sega game, Shenmue III. Personally I am not too excited about those as I am not too familiar with either series, but it was still a cool announcement and I am sure the fans of both series are happy.

They shown some footage from Batman: Arkham Knight, which reminds me that I should check that series out sometime. I mean it has my favorite Batman (Kevin Conroy) in it and looks interesting. So yeah, I might have check that out sometime.

I actually got Batman: Arkham City from a friend recently on Steam (Thanks again, Makuta Luroka.). Although I should probably play the series in order, so I'll have to see about getting Arkham Asylum.

One last thing of interest from Sony Conference was Uncharted 4. I am not really familiar with the series, but it looks might be kind interesting.

Hm...Speaking of Uncharted series, is the series worth checking out? I do have PS3, so if the previous games are on there, I guess I could play them sometime in the future, maybe.

That's all I have say about Sony Conference.

    Nintendo - Overview

    Its Nintendo time!

I don't think I need to explain my bias for Nintendo since I think it is pretty obvious that they are my favorite of three major console companies. And well, I have played Nintendo products for majority of my life. So yeah, I definitely I am bias about them.

That being said, I thought this year's E3 announcements were kind lackluster and to be honest, I was kind expecting that after they announced that Zelda U has been delayed and wouldn't be show off at E3 this year (I understood the reason for delay and all, but it would been nice to have seen more of development at least.).

I mean not that I am saying they needed a Zelda title to make this E3 awesome or something. I just mean that based on previous Directs from this year, it didn’t feel like they had a lot going on when it comes major titles, outside of Xenoblade Chronicles X and Star Fox (I didn’t include Yarn Yoshi in this list because I don’t think it will be system seller for Wii U.). *shrugs*

Still though, for what it is worth, they had one of most entertaining conferences since that Muppet opening was pretty great (I would love to see those Muppets again in the future.).

But anyway, since this is Nintendo, I am going share all my thoughts on what they announced today:

    - Earthbound Beginnings (Or as it is originally known, Mother 1): I’ll admit I probably would prefer to have gotten news that a remake was being made of Mother 1 rather than an updated port as Mother 1 is the most dated (Especially in terms of sprite graphics.) of the trilogy.

Of course, as soon as I heard the news, I instantly went to the eShop and brought it because I wanted to show my support for the Mother series. Furthermore, I am curious to see how it compares to its sequel, Earthbound.

That and well, I am hoping this might convince Nintendo down the line to release Mother 3 here too.

    - Super Mario Maker: While I hadn’t really seen any of Treehouse stuff for it yet, it looks like it will be pretty cool, based on what I seen from the Digital Event. I am looking forward to its release. I might even try to attempt the Best Buy thing this weekend for it. XD

    - Star Fox Zero: I must say this title looks like it should be fun. But man, I wish they could had this as a demo at Best Buy. XD

Also Wonderful 101 Director, Hideki Kamiya, loves you.

    - The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes: I am not sure what think of this game really. I am tempted by it due to multiplayer element, even though I doubt anyone would want to play online with me. XD

    - Hyrule Warriors Legends: I already own the Wii U version (And I am nowhere near done it), so I don't see much a reason to get it as it is pretty much the same game, but with some bonus Wind Waker characters. *shrugs*

    - Metroid Prime: Federation Force: Uh, I can't say I care for this one way or the other. Although I do think that it might been a better idea to make a new 2D Metroid game rather than a spinoff. But well, maybe it will surprise me.

    - Fire Emblem: Fates: I am pretty hype for this game, although I hope they don't make me have to buy the game three times to get the whole experience.

Additionally I also gotten word that marriage will be thing again, but it doesn't look like same-sex marriages were included, which is extremely disappointing... *sigh*

    - Genei Ibun Roku X FE: Honestly I don't know what to think of this game. I should probably watch some Treehouse stuff on it as this trailer really tells me nothing. XD

    - Xenoblade Chronicles X: THE HYPE IS ON FIRE!

Yeah, I am mega hype for this game. I am so glad we finally got a release date.

    - Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer: I am kind of interest in this. Mostly because I am curious about the gameplay element and how Amiibo cards work.

    - Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival: I'll be honest I am only interested in this for the Amiibo figures. XD The game itself, I don't think I would have anyone to play it with.

    - Yoshi’s Wolly World: I loved Yoshi's Island as a kid, so naturally I am pretty excited about this new Yoshi game and I look forward to play it.

Also I must have those special Yoshi amiibo! XD

    - Yo-Kai Watch: Eh... I don't really care either way about this. I got enough games to deal with as it is. XD

    - Fatal Frame: Madien of Black Water: I am bit disappointed that they kept this out of Digital Event, although I understand the reasoning. As for my thoughts on it, I am actually interested in it. I watched someone play one of older games in the series before, so I think I will give this game a try.

    - Chibi-Robo: Zip-Lash: Like Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, the Amiibo packed with this is mostly what I care about.

    - Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam: Okay, I am not familiar with Paper Mario series. But I do enjoy Mario & Luigi series, so I am interested what will come from this. I don't know if I will buy it at release though.

    - Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash: Eh... Yeah, I can't even pretend to care about this game.

And those were my thoughts on the Nintendo conference. Obviously I didn't hate it or something, but it definitely wasn't the ideal E3 event with announcements on big secret projects that making me go, "Take my money, Nintendo."

    Square Enix - Overview

Honestly there wasn't a whole lot of interesting things going on at Square's presentation. Really the only noteworthy things from it were Kingdom Hearts III trailer and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trailer, which generated major hype for me.

I was especially hyped by the Kingdom Hearts III trailer, even though the game won't be coming out until like 2017 or later. XD

    ***

And that's all my thoughts on this year's E3. Feel free to share your own here, if you want.

Alright, that's enough from me for today. I hope you are having a great week and thanks for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Hey, folks. Its been awhile since I have done one of these entries, so I thought I pop in and let you know how things are going. Really there is not a whole lot to say. Things mostly been same old same here (Wake up, go to work, go home, use free time in some way, go to bed...Repeat).

So nothing exciting really (I mean I would talk about work stuff, but I imagine that would bored most of you greatly.).

Uh... I got Splatoon recently, for those that might be wondering (Although my status message here probably gave it away quite clearly.). Personally I am enjoying it.

Although I will admit in its current state, it is overpriced, especially if you added the Amiibo for it into the equation. So yeah, I can't blame some people for waiting to get it as it does feel like it could used some more content. Another game mode or two for online would been nice to have. Bosses in single play mode (Excluding Final Boss, whom I am currently struggling to beat.) could use some more difficult as well (Like third boss, I beat super quick. There was little challenge to that one at all.).

So yeah, its far from perfect. But I am enjoying it and there is promise of future free updates (Which they have already introduced a new map and some weapons), so I feel at least somewhat justified in my purchase of it. That and well, I guess it is my "vote with my wallet" that Nintendo trying new things is a good thing. *shrugs*

But anyway, I wouldn't say I am saying I am that good at Splatoon. I mean I am kind of afraid to try Ranked Mode since I became level 10, not too long ago. XD

I don't really have a weapon that I am particularly good at really. Although I like using N-Zap '85 and Splattershot Jr, so I guess you could say those.

Oh, and I have yet to use the Amiibo, so I can't really comment on those features.

I don't really know how with friends thing for Splatoon works exactly. But if you want to play Splatoon with me, feel free (My Nintendo ID is BZPJMJ64.). I am sure you will crush me. XD

In other news, I been discussing with my friend about BrickFair VA trip lately and well, trying nail down a bit of schedule for us since its good to be prepare and stuff. And well, I thought maybe I should ask you folks for some advice since a lot of you are veterans of this kind of thing and I am kind of noob with this traveling stuff. So yeah, I appreciate any advice.

I guess write some general questions for you folks to answer, if you want.

    1) Is there any particular event at BrickFair VA that we should check out while we are there (Outside well, the MOCs and the people)?

    2) Is there anything outside of the con that we should check out (Museums, ect)?

Alright, that's enough from me for today. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in again and let you all know all how jury duty went since I mention it in the last entry.

I went in at 7:40 AM, which is early since its start at like 8:30 AM. And well, after finding my way around with signs, I went inside the right building and went thru the metal detector (First time I been through one of those. Put my book, keys, wallet, and phone in scan thingy.).

Once that was done, I follow signs again to Jury Assembly and I gave my notice paper to folks at the desk there. After that, I start to wait for other people to show up, so they could start (I was like second person to arrival there.). I am glad I brought a book as I would been bored. XD

Oh, and for those wondering what book I was reading, its "Sphere," by Michael Crichton. I actually had this book for awhile since I brought it after I enjoyed some of Michael Crichton's other literature works (Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and The Andromeda Strain).

But well, I never got around to read it until now. I mean it was either this book or Star Wars: Survivor's Quest; which I admit I am not that familiar with all Star Wars EU stuff (Not that it matters too much now due to these stories being non-canon by Disney.), so I thought that one might cause confusion for me.

But anyway, it was actually rather fitting that I start reading "Sphere" as apparently its about a three hundred year old alien spacecraft being discovered in Pacific Ocean. I say its fitting because I start about a month or so ago watching the X-Files, which has its share of extraterrestrial stories as well (By the way, I am currently on Season 6 of the X-Files. Although I still got to watch the movie that goes between it and season 5, so I am not exactly on season 6 just yet.).

Of course, I didn't get very far into that book before we start filling out some jury paperwork (Basically a questionnaire and donation form to donate your jury duty money to one of three special programs.). I think I was on like page 26 (Yeah, I know you and my sister would been like halfway through the book with time I had.). After we finished that, they gave us a bathroom break around 9:40 AM, I think.

And when we return (10:00 AM), they basically told us the case has been settle out of the court and sent us all home. So yeah, that was my first jury duty experience. I must admit I was kind of relief by that news. Not because I had a problem with performing my civic duty, but rather it was due my nerves finally calm down.

I don't know how describe it really, but new things like this always get me work up. I guess because I worried a lot about screwing up and well, interacting with new people in general. (Which is why I kind of glad I won't be going alone on that trip this summer. I am going to need a familiar face to at least try to help keep that in check.)

Oh, and they did count me being there as the jury duty being served, so I shouldn't be called until next year, I guess. Alright, that's about it really. I can't think of anything else talk about. I mean I hadn't really done any more work on spaceship MOCs (Did I mention those here or was that just on Twitter? I don't remember. XD), so nothing new to mention about them.

Hm...I guess I mention really quick that I ended up picking a "NEW" 3DS XL. I must admit I wasn't planning on getting one this soon, especially since I usually don't upgrade my systems (If you want proof of that, just ask me about my original DS. I kept that system until original 3DS came out.).

But well, since I would like play Xenoblade Chronicles 3D at some point in the future and Majora's Mask Edition of "New" 3DS XL came back in stock, I decided to get it early. I hadn't got around to using it yet, but it definitely seem like it faster than my old 3DS was. I am looking forward to trying it out with some games (Like Kid Icarus: Uprising as I am curious how it will play with second analog stick.).

Okay, I think that's enough from me for today. As always, I hope you have a good week and thank you for taking the time to read this. Oh, and thanks again to those that commented in the last entry, I appreciate it. Talk to you later, BZPers.

    - JMJ 2015
  22. Jedi Master J.
So this Wednesday is going be the first time that I been summoned to be a juror before. I must admit I am kind of nervous about the idea of sitting in on a court case (Well, assuming they pick me for the case.).

But well, I guess the Ace Attorney games have prepared me for it.

*One of the Pursuit themes from Ace Attorney series starts playing*

… Okay, speaking seriously again, I hope I do a decent job at it, assuming they pick me. I mean I don’t really know what involve with it, outside of a lot of waiting and working with the other jurors involved (Again, assuming they pick me for the jury.) and well, losing a day’s pay at work (Which means no overtime this week...) since the court only paying me $9/Day to be there.

Oh and you have to go through some sort of interview process for them to see if you are right juror for the case. *shrugs*

So yeah, I would appreciate any advice that you veteran jurors might have. Hm…I guess I should maybe bring a book or something with me, so I have something to do during the waiting parts.

I would bring my 3DS, but I imagine that would probably be frown upon in the courts. That and well, you do have to go through a metal detector to enter the place, so I think it would be best not to carry a ton of electronic stuff as it means more stuff to keep track of. *shrugs*

Again, I would appreciate hearing any advice you folks might have.

With that said, I think that’s it for this entry. I am sorry that it was kind dull read. Thanks for taking the time to read it and I hope you all have a great week. Talk to you later, BZPers.

  23. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. Its time for yearly tradition of telling you folks how my birthday went today.

Like last year, I don't have a lot to say. It mostly just a normal work day really, although I was very tired today (I probably should gone to bed earlier yesterday. XD). So it wasn't fun or exciting work day, especially considering I am doing quotes and that can very dull when you are doing them for like 8 hours straight (We also had an issue today as our supplier's website was having server issues.).

But anyway, that's probably boring stuff to mention to you folks. Hm... I guess I mention here what I got for my birthday as I got more gifts than I was expecting this year (I mean I was expecting nothing really. XD). So here's short list of what I got for my birthday:

    - The entire Professor Layton series + Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright*
    - Grim Fandango Remastered* (on Steam)
    - Knock-knock** (on Steam)
    - Cake and Grilled Cheese***
    - Cards***

*from a real life friend (Its same friend that helped me take those day visits to BrickFair VA. And as mention in previous entries, he also coming with me for this year's trip to BrickFair VA)

    **from Voltex (Lucina)

    ***from family

So yeah, it was a bit surprising that I got that much and part of me doesn't feel like I deserve it really. *shrugs* I especially feel indebted to my friend for getting entire Professor Layton series as last I checked, they were kind of expensive. I definitely going to need to come up a way to pay him back for that.

Outside of that stuff and work, I would say I had a good birthday today. I mean I got eat Grilled Cheese (Which is one of my favorites) and I don't feel nearly as tired as I was earlier. So yeah, I would say I am happy with this day for most part.

That's all I really have to say about my birthday. As a side note, yesterday was my 5th anniversary of being employed. I don't really anything say about that, beside obviously that I am rather graceful to still have this job.

Alright, that's enough from me for today. I apologize if this was kind of a boring read. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Hey, folks. I thought I should pop in today and give another little update here. Although I’ll admit not a whole lot has happen since my last entry really.

Just been doing the usual stuff during my free time, which for this month (March) seems be mostly watching stuff on Netflix and well, using Twitter to share random thoughts that I have. XD

So yeah, this is probably going to end up being a very TV show related entry as well, I would like to share some of my non-spoiler thoughts on the shows that I been watching.

I guess I’ll start off with Firefly since I mention I was watching it in the previous entry here. I believe finished that show about two weeks ago, so everything should be still fresh in my mind hopefully.

To start off, I enjoyed the show, although I am definitely disappointed that it was cancelled before anything could come of it. It look like it would been interesting, if it had been given the chance.

That being said, I wasn't a huge fan of follow up movie, Serenity. Not so much because some characters that I like died in it (Which I won't mention more than that for spoiler reasons) as I understood from story perspective why their deaths were necessary.

It was more because the plot felt extremely rushed to me and as well, I think my expectations were a bit too high for it (I blame the great movie finale that Farscape had for that.).

Of course, I am not saying I hate the movie (Serenity) as I like getting to see the crew again and getting some closure with mysteries surrounding River. And the "villain" of the film was also pretty awesome. So yeah, the film has a bit of mixed opinions for me.

Moving right along, since I finished Firefly, I kind out of the blue decide to check out the X-Files since I always rather curious about that show (By coincidence, it was on the day that Fox confirmed that they were bringing the X-Files back next year.).

And well, I like it. It kind like FRINGE, but with more of focus on extraterrestrials and government conspiracies. Not sure what else to say really since I don't want to bored you with personal theories about an old 90s show.

Oh, and I am currently on Season 2, Episode 14.

Alright, so the last topic for this entry is WIP MOCs since I got a couple or so in work since I decided build, while I watch the X-Files on Netflix. XD So yeah, here's some links to them:

    WIP Figure 1

    WIP Figure 2

    WIP Spaceship

I am not sure at this point if I will be shipping all of these MOCs (when they are finished) on the convention circuit. I am thinking about it though, especially "new" spaceship one (Which I might sent along with its "sibling" from last year's circuit as I think they both look rather good together.) *shrugs*

Oh, and I am thinking of maybe trying buy some LEGO light bricks as I think it might be neat to have parts of the spaceship light up. I am not sure how well that will go (Especially considering last time I ordered something LEGO related, I never got it. *sigh*), but I am going to see about giving it a shot at least.

What are you folks' thoughts on them so far? Just curious is all. I know they are nowhere near as good as any of ones that are posted in BBC forum, so I am not expecting praise or anything on them. XD

Well, I think that’s enough rambling for this entry. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

  25. Jedi Master J.
Hey, folks. It been awhile since I did a little ramble here, so I thought I pop in and do one today.

I guess I’ll start off by confirming (as I have done in the topic here) that I will be going to BrickFair VA this year.

Hm…I guess I kind did confirm this in last entry by mentioning what my Brick Badge would look like. Although at that point, I was still working out transportation details. Now those issues have mostly been resolved as the friend, I took the Day Trips with previously, has expressed interest in coming along with me. And well, I have now registered him for the event and placed a reservation for one of BrickFair VA reserved rooms at the Holiday Inn. So I feel pretty safe now saying that me being there will be a thing.

Hopefully my friend won’t feel too out of place there. Not that I am saying I am going to fit right in or anything. I mean I am not that good of MOCer (Just look at what I sent on convention circuit last year.) and well, I am a loser with terrible social skills. *shrugs* So I may try to see about checking out some other stuff, outside the convention, like museums, while we are down there.

Oh, and we will be there from Wednesday (July 29th) till Monday (August 3rd). Alright, that’s enough on BrickFair VA. I am sure I’ll have more thoughts and stuff on it as we get closer to the date. I imagine my nerves will be completely shot the day before we head down. XD

In other news, I guess I mention here really quickly that I finished TV series, Farscape, recently. I must say I enjoyed it a lot. I’m actually still thinking about it, even though I am happy with its conclusion. Well, the conclusion that isn’t the Season 4 finale. That one was literally the worst ending ever (I would describe it, but I rather not spoil things.). I am glad the fans of show were able to push the studio to at least produce a better ending by means of the TV movie, the Peacekeeper Wars. The Peacekeeper Wars was a great ending to the show, although I imagine it could have been even better if a season 5 had been a thing as it was originally planned.

But anyway, thanks again to Black Six for suggesting Farscape to me.

Oh, since I finished Farscape, I have start watching Firefly for first time since I didn’t feel like jumping back into Star Trek right away. I am currently about halfway through it and to put it simply, I am quite enjoying it. Although I am rather sad that such a unique show (It’s a Space Western!) only had 14 episodes to play with. It feels like it deserve more than that. Maybe that’s just me though.

Speaking of Star Trek, I plan on getting back to watching that after I finish with Firefly. Although I decide to change my viewing schedule of it. Originally I was going to watch TNG movies before watching the Enterprise series, but it looks like unfortunately Netflix doesn’t have all of them available for streaming. So new schedule will be as follows: Enterprise > TOS (+ Cartoon) > TOS & TNG films

I am probably going to see if my uncle has a copy of any TOS or TNG films that I can borrow since I know he is a big movie and TV buff. That and I am pretty sure he is a fan of Star Trek (I recall him having like models of the Enterprise and stuff.).

Alright, moving on from that topic, I guess I can ramble about video games next. Although to be honest, I hadn’t play much video games this month, outside the Beta for A Hat in Time.

I guess I’ll talk briefly about A Hat in Time. It looks like it is shaping up to be pretty good from what I play of it (I managed to get 11 of 14 available Time pieces. I have no idea where the first two are, but the third one is on a brutal 3D platforming map called, “Beta Hero Challenge”.).

Its menu interfaces are a lot better than they were in Alpha. The camera feature is pretty cool addition (It may of been inspired by Link Selfies feature in the Wind Waker HD.).

Oh, and umbrella hookshot is really fun to play with. I admit when I first used it, I thought it made you swing too fast (It doesn’t really work like Wind Waker’s hookshot does as in Wind Waker, you have more control over your swing.). But once I got used to it, it is really ideal way of getting around Mafia Town quickly as you can kind of like chain swing your way to places on the map.

So yeah, A Hat in Time is looking pretty good. I look forward to seeing the finished product. It should be fun. Like I said, that’s pretty much the only video game that I played this month. I should probably play more of Majora’s Mask or any other unfinished games that I have. XD

Alright, that’s enough on that topic. Hm…I guess the next topic is how my convention circuit MOCs (Dragon’s Head) are coming along. Honestly I hadn’t made any process since I have been waiting for parts for over a month now to arrive. They supposedly ship out two weeks ago, but I have yet to receive the package.

So yeah, it has been on hold. Although I am starting to think the Dragon project is too complex for me, so I might just disassemble it and starts over with something else. It’s hard though trying to come up with something that moves or has lights *shrugs*

Okay, I think that’s enough rambling for this entry. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.
