  1. My routine here lately is as follows:

    - Check Front Page for news (Pretty easy to do since my homepage is still that page)

    - Check the blogs for anything interest

    - Check Completely Off Topic forum (Mostly just for General Video Games topic there)

    - Repeat every a hour or so

If I am logged in, I usually added this to routine as well:

    - Check Convention & Event Planning forum

    - Check BioniLUG Forum (I try to check that forum regularly as I feel like it is good to keep up to date on things since I am member and all.)

Honestly I would like add stuff like checking out stories in library forums in my routine, but working 40 hours a week doesn't really leave me motivated to spent several hours on a review like I used to. (Admittedly it might due my experience with the old Critics Club as well since that left a bit of a mental imprint of it being "work" and all.)

  2. Personally I would like to see Johnny Thunder, Ogel, and Chase McCain (Possibly other characters from LEGO City: Undercover game).

I would say Bionicle characters as option too, but I am not sure how well they fit in. I guess they could go with Minifigure style that they use for Hero Factory characters previously though. *shrugs*

If they did appear, I think they should be Gen 2 versions since it only makes sense really. I mean Gen 1 characters probably would just cause confusion for newer fans that only know of Gen 2 and well, they would be LEGO's target audience for this, not old fans like myself.

  3. 1) Technic; Why is this my favorite theme? Because:

    - It tends to have more challenging builds compared to themes like Hero Factory, which one can pretty much build without instructions really.

    - They tend have cool features like moving parts with motors or pistons.

    - They often have GEARS involved in someway, which has always been my favorite feature from BIONICLE in the early days.

    2) Star Wars; Why is this my second favorite theme? Because:

    - It has awesome recreations of events from the movies.

    - Its builds can definitely be difficult if you buy large sets like R2-D2 (Item # 10225).

    - It has great detail minifigures of characters from the films.

Hm...I know you didn't ask for it, but I am going to include my next couple of favorites here as well.

    3) Lord of Rings; Why is this my third favorite theme? Because:

    - Like with Star Wars, it has awesome recreations of events from the movies (Great builds for some too.) and great minifigures. I can't think of any other reason to justify me liking it than that. (After all, I did buy all of last year's wave from Shop at Home mostly because of this reason alone.)

    4) Ninjago; Why is this my fourth favorite theme? Because:

    - It has a decent story much like BIONICLE did, but it was presented in much better way and format. It is by no means as complex as BIONICLE was, but it is definitely has itself an interesting world and mythology around it.

    - I like the design of the sets.

  4. Hm....While I definitely can't attend myself (Only going to be in Virginia for a day and well, I'll be on my way home when this is going to happen.), I would totally be wiling donate some cash so at least those that can check it out can have a good time at this.

But anyway, to answer your question, I probably be willing to donate at least 50 dollars to this, maybe a little more if I am feeling generous at the time. As for event itself, my opinion really doesn't matter much since I won't even be there in first place, but I voted on Nervous Pudding concert and barbecue since it sounds like the chillest of two choices available. *shrugs*

  5. Hm...I don't think I really have a best friend here. If anything, I am kind inclined to say I am not even sure that I have friends here really as I kind feel like I am acquaintance to most people that I interact regularly with. *shrugs*

Well, in terms of years of interact with, I am kind of inclined to say Kanohi Dragon, if only because she and I been friends since I join this site. Although then again, I can't really say I talk to her regularly now since real life has taken her mostly way from this site. So yeah, I don't know really. I guess I'll settle with that as my answer.

  6. Hm...The only nicknames that I can think of, that people here have used for me, are JMJ or J. And well, I can't say I have any problems with those nicknames really.

As for my nicknames for others, here are a few that come to mind right now:

    - Azul = Sis (Because well, she is my sister.)

    - Kanohi Dragon = KD

    - Lyichir = Lyi

    - Ryuujin = Ry

    - Lady Kopaka = LK

    - Vezok's Friend = VF

    - Electric Turahk = ET

    - Avohkah Tamer = AT

Hm...I also have a bit habit of adding Mister or Miss to begin of usernames since I feel like it is way of showing respect to those that I am talking with. I wouldn't really call that a nickname though. Just well, a weird character trait of mines.

  7. So hey, folks. Today is the birthday of those awesome twins, Aanchir & Lyichir. So how about we all wish them a happy birthday today? Well, I'll do it at least. Happy Birthday, you two. I hope today treats you both well.

Oh, and I would made separate topics for both of you, but I thought it might be easier to just make one topic since they basically feel like they would be saying the same thing. Which make sense considering they're Birthday topics and I don't have anything creative to input in them to make them feel different from one another. So apologizes if that annoys you two. I am sorry.

But anyway, enough rambling from me, go wish them a happy birthday, folks. -JMJ 2013

  8. Hm...I am pretty sure that I first heard of BZPower in 2004, which I believe was back when Bionicle.com actually had a link to this place on the main website (I imagine that annoyed quite a few of other Bionicle forums around at the time. So as result, LEGO removed the link to here after a year so.).

I didn't join though until like a year afterwards since at that point in time, I have very limited internet access since my younger brother and older sister would hog the only computer with internet in our house. Eventually when we moved, the old Gateway got internet, so I decided join a forum since I could use it and all.

I actually originally was going to join a Star Wars forum (Thankfully I didn't do that since I probably would not got along with many people there since I personally didn't think the new trilogy was a pile of trash. But to each his own, I guess.), but my younger self was a newbie to the internet, so that didn't happened. And well, I thought of what else I was interested in and Bionicle came to mind, so I end up "rediscovering" BZPower and had my sister help me get through sign up process.

She asked me what username I wanted and I, being uncreative, said, "How about about Jedi Master J.? (Which was basically just me taking my first initial in my name and added Jedi Master to front of it.)" And well, the rest is history. I been here for several years now and I personally plan to stay on this site until the end since I honestly love the community here and I really don't have anywhere else to go since this is only forum that I use regularly.

If anything, it is only place that feel comfortable, on the internet, expressing myself really. That and well, it is the only place that I can really say I have friends in to certain degree. That's kind of sad, but it is true. But anyway, I think I said enough to answer your question about how I learn of BZPower. You got my backstory as a bonus, I guess. lol

  9. I don't know that we can get everyone's signatures, but how about a signed not of appreciation from myself and some of the other staff?

***Hm...I probably should of pointed out that first question was just a joke about that one perk, you listed, as not being very worthwhile to Lifetime Premier Members like myself is all. XD

Honestly I am fine with just this perk alone, "Your MOCs will be seen by tens of thousands of people, inspiring children and adults around the country," even though I do extremely doubt my MOCs would actually inspiring someone.

You mean a folder included with your MOCs? Yes I suppose that would be fine. As long as you get us all the information we need.

***Yeah, basically what I mean is the information (Return Address, Shipping Fees, ect.) that you folks are requesting to be sent with MOCs would be organized in folder, so that everything you need is all in one place.

If you or anyone else sends in MOCs to four cons, I will personally write you a note that can be used to try to get out of classes/get into class late/get in to swanky clubs, etc., with a little silly drawing on it. And, send your MOCs in to at least three, and you'll get some sweet posed pictures of your MOCs from me! Go check out the topic for more details.

***Hm...I am not sure whether to take you seriously there or not. lol If you are serious, I guess that could be pretty cool to have a note to get out of class, even though I am not in school anymore. XDBut anyway, I am not sure what you mean by check topic for more details. I mean if you are talking about the article, I read it at least twice already and I'll be PMing Black Six when I finally decided which MOCs, I planned to send.Oh...I see what you refering to now. Well, that's neat. I am not sure if I would take advantage of that though considering my MOCs are probably going to be small Matoran size things, so getting professional photos of them would probably be waste of your time. *shrugs* Still a pretty neat perk though.

  10. Hm...If someone decided to sent some MOCs to attend four or more events and they already have Premier Membership, can this member instead get a paper with all the signatures of Staff members that attended each event? :P

Can I organize information like return address, pictures of MOCs, and fees for shipping in a folder? Just wondering as I know last time I send something I was told I went a little overboard by including like an excel sheet with Part Qty and stuff.

  11. Hm...Honestly I wouldn't mind meeting just about any BZPers (As long as it is a public place, of course.) in real life. Although if I had to be specific, I would say I would like to meet the following BZPers in real life, if I could:

    - Black Six

    - Kohaku

    - Hahli Husky

    - bonesiii

    - Friar Tuck

    - xccj

    - ChocolateFrogs

    - Takuma Nuva

    - Ta-metru defender

    - DeeVee

    - Nukaya

    - Nuju Metru

    - Sumiki

    - Eeko

    - Gatanui

    - Aho-Chan

    - Gato

    - Tilius

    - Kanohi Dragon

    - Motago

    - Vezok's Friend

    - Chols

    - Bambi

    - Swert

    - Janus

    - Phyoohrii

    - GregF

    - Alku

    - Andrew Arthur

    - Nikira

No doubt I forgot some people, but you get the idea that I wouldn't mind meeting a lot of people from here. Will I? Probably not since as my BrickFair trip shown, my social anxiety has a habit of making meeting new people extremely difficult.

    - JMJ 2012

  12. Well, officially I have only met one BZPer and that is my sister, Azul. Which personally I don't think counts since she only join this site to watch me initially (Since this was first forum I ever joined and my sister was more knowledgable about the internet than I was at the time.) and she now only comes on once in blue moon really.

So yeah, I don't know any BZPers in real life. I wouldn't mind meeting some though. Although like my BrickFair adventure this year shown, my social anxiety can make doing that difficult unfortunately. Hopefully if I ever attend one of those things again, I'll try to do a better job at meeting people there.

  13. So today is the birthday of that awesome Reporter guy (xccj). Ergo, we should all wish him a happy birthday here for turning 24 today because you know it is kind of proper thing to do for birthdays and all.Well, I'll do it at least. Happy Birthday, man. I hope today is good to you. And thank you for your continue service to BZPower for the past nine years of your life. -JMJ 2012

  14. Anyhow... release day. I won't get mine for a few days. Any superfan that has one now? =P.
Yeah, I have it. XD Oh, and its Black 2 version.I also got lucky and got a shiny Oshawott as my starter. :)
So I just got Black 2. Can someone help me trade some eggs over? If you help me I'll give you six FDW, I have a big selection so just ask. someone halp
I'll help you, sir. PM me with your Friend Code.-JMJ 2012
  15. Well, I have like two unfinished epics (The History of the Tuggles [Which I regret writing as it became more about my Toa self than the subject matter of the Tuggles.] & The Origin of Angry Nidhiki [The only good thing that came from this story was my Professor Kano character.]) posted in old forums. Oh, and I got an unfinished epic called The Dark Chronicles sitting in a folder on my computer [i only wrote like two pages of it in word document. So yeah, that's going nowhere.]. I also have an unfinished prequel epic in that folder, which was supposed to deal with a side character from my second epic that I posted on BZPower. Again, that's going nowhere. As for Short Stories, I only got one unfinished work that I can think of and it is an old untitled story that I was writing for BZPower Short Story contest. It is really the only story in my folder of unfinished works that I think has a chance of actually getting post here. Well, that only if it gets out its state of development limbo and gets heavily edited first, which knowing me is probably not going to happen. But yeah, to answer question, I have plenty of Bionicle written works that just never got off the ground and likely never will. - JMJ 2012

  16. Short Story Critic, Jedi Master J., here reporting for duty, sir. No doubt you are probably wondering why I am here because you have technically not made a request to get a review from the Short Story Critics. Well, the reason for that is we have recently open the gates at SSCC to have Charity reviews done for works such as yours here and as such, I am here to review this work. I hope my review is to your liking, sir. But anyway, on to the story itself, I personally think you did a very good job at developing environment and lore about this world because it helps the world feel very much alive to reader and that there is more to world than just this one story. I do feel though that it might been too heavy in descriptive stuff as the parts at the end with drunk elf and she-elf did not stand out near as well to me. I say this because I felt like there wasn't enough focus on these characters for me as the reader to actually make a connection with them. Then again, your intention was probably just to show us a day in the life of this world that you created, so I am probably just reading too much into things. *shrugs* But yeah, outside of that complain, I would say this work is quite good and I personally find the world you created to be rather interesting. Hm...And well, I don't really see any grammar or spelling mistakes, so I think you are good on that front as far as I can tell.Alright, that's all I have to comment on really. Once again, I hope this review is to your liking. If not, feel free PM me any criticism that you might have of it and I'll take what you said under advisement. Finally I hope you continue writing, sir. And thank you for choosing SSCC. - JMJ 2012

  17. As requested, I have reviewed "What We Create". Thank you for choosing the SSCC.

He reviewed my last story...but I suppose I'm not allowed to request someone else. ._. Oh well, thanks anyway. ^^
Ma'am, I believe you are mistaken. I don't believe I have review any of your works before this point. If my review is not to your liking though, feel free to send me any criticism by PM or here, if you so desired. - JMJ 2012
  18. Short Story Critic, Jedi Master J., here reporting for duty, ma'am. And as you requested, I am here today to give you my review of this work. To start off with, I really like how you went a different route with this character study. The reason I say this is because if there is one thing about previously two character studies that I didn't like (Which by the way, I will review other two later in the week. Unless of course, you don't want me to.), it was that Toa Mahri versions of characters often came off harsh to their younger selves, which greatly contracted with how I viewed their characters. At the same time though, I can understand how your previous version of Toa Mahri characters were like that because their world did gradually became much more darker when they start their journey to Voya Nui, so your take on them is justified in a way. Especially if we were to take these dreams as being more than just foreshadowing of their dark future to come. I say this because I think their subconscious worries about future also play a big factor in what they see in these dreams. A good example of what I mean is how in the stories for Nuparu and Jaller, there is the common thread of Rahkshi being active threat to the Matoran Universe, which I believe the Rahkshi in these dream futures kind of like what they expected must of bested of Toa Nuva on Voya Nui for they really know of no other threat more dangerous or destruction to the Matoran way of life. Of course, I am probably just reading too much into this. *shrugs*But anyway, I really like how this character study has younger version of Nuparu sort of rekindle his spirit in his older self by reminding that he still does create something in this world and that was hope. And well, as a whole, it makes me like this story best out of your other two character studies because there is kind of comfort in knowing that even though things are bad in this future, it does not mean you give up faith that things will get better. Hm...I probably explained that poorly, but basically what I am saying is I kind of like the more optimism outlook to this work compared to the other works.Alright, outside of my personal opinions on the work, I did notice a few errors here and there with your sentences, which I think you probably would of caught them if you reread the work a couple of time. Unfortunately I can only find one of the errors that I found, which was this:

"So Nuparu," the toa said ",do you remember what happened before you found yourself in the tunnels?"
But if you want me point out any others that I notice, I'll see about leaving you another reply to this topic with whatever I can find. That's only if you want me to though. Although I imagine some of them were probably what Grand-Sud pointed out above.Well, that's all I have to comment on really. I hope this review is to your liking. If not, feel free PM me any criticism that you might have of it and I'll take what you said under advisement. Finally I hope you continue writing, ma'am. And thank you for choosing SSCC. - JMJ 2012
