  1. I found this awesome article, I thought it would be good for these debates recently. I don't know about you, but I pledge to read this article before I post or reply to anything. Here's the address, in case the link isn't working. http://tinybuddha.com/featured/10-ways-to-have-peaceful-loving-relationships/
  2. So, I wasn't entirely truthful. The Akaku Nuva didn't get made, but I did make HD versions of the Hau and the Miru! You can see the comparison in the middle right! Next up, I'll make HD versions of the rest of the masks, and make some more Nuva masks!
  3. Very cool. Hope you enjoy it!
  4. Where, what for, how's the roommate, is there free food, and how long?

    Now I See

Look, my last entry meant no attack. It meant to oppress no one, it meant to harm no one, it meant to do nothing but point out a way to go about presenting your view or lifestyle in a way that is respectful to all involved, without the use of names or insults, regardless of how appropriate they may be. But it was gonna be an even bigger battle, so I closed it, and this as well, and I'll try my best to stay away from the subject, because there's too much opportunity for conflict.

    My Thoughts

I'm speaking from experience. I've never been oppressed the way you have, certainly. But I do go through struggles, such as at work. I have several coworkers that never fail to insult or belittle me when they get a chance...and instead of snapping at them, I just say "yeah, you're probably right". Even if it doesn't stop them, I know I came out on top. And those around me that are actually respectful human beings see it, and those are the people that matter. I can never identify with the struggle you guys go through...but I do know I hate seeing this site, and this world torn apart by these issues. If we focus on being good people, and treating every single person with respect, regardless of where they stand, we're the winners. Guys, I already don't see this going anywhere productive. I just wanted to state my opinion, and I get told how wrong it is. That's how this will continue, so there's no point continuing. Sorry I tried tocintcontribute to the discussion.

    My Thoughts

There is such thing as righteous anger, yes. But in our culture, we're progressively moving toward a more accepting world...so anger is losing its place in the fight against oppression. It's now at the stage where I feel like name calling does nothing but alienate and degrade people...going against everything this movement stands for. It's time for both sides to be more kind and caring of those that disagree with them. A kind word does so much more than a thousand wicked ones. Besides, if someone insults you, what better feeling then to say "yeah, maybe you're right,". He's now lost all his fuel. Then he really has nothing to come back with.

    My Thoughts

Personally, I think people should stop judging other people for the way they live their lives, or the people they're attracted to. Regardless of whether they were born that way or it was a choice, it's their life, and they have a right to use their life the way they see fit. If they feel attracted to something, it's wrong to judge them based on that. My advice? Before you say anything, put yourself in their shoes. Would you appreciate someone criticizing such a fundamental part of your lifestyle? Of course not. You don't have to agree with them but you do need to treat them with every bit of dignity and respect they deserve. Which is the same amount as everyone. Except maybe me That being said, if someone disagrees with you, what's the purpose of calling them a bigot or a homophobe? I find that it helps nothing...instead, calmly support your position. You may not changed his mind, but now he respects you so much more, because no matter how he insulted you, you were the bigger man, and everyone respects that. So, my thoughts? Love, respect, and dignify every single person, regardless of their gender, attractions, race, religion, beliefs...I guarantee everyone will be happier. Again, that's just one lowly member's thoughts, feel free to take them how you will.
  9. Yeah, at that scale, it was impossible to put the hole I'm the center. Notice the bottom of the saucer section? It's one piece. So that's why I said it was kinda the Vengeance This was all built from memory, which is why the pylons are wrong, too, but I like these ones more. I'm still absolutely loving the deflector array, I can't believe I got it to work. And check out Amazon!
  10. The Rising EP by Five Knives. Nice new alternative rock band, looking forward to their first full release!
  11. I thought we were past this insanity!? D:
  12. -I totally agree, that completely ruined the movie for me. But remember, China helped fund this movie. Therefore, a Yellow Peril Mandarin (as in, the awesome, very Chinese Mandarin) would have severely upset their funders, and therefore, they had to be creative. And that's why it sucks. -Supposedly so he can focus on Pepper...except every single person in this world and arguably all the other worlds know that Tony Stark is Iron Man. Regardless of the presence or lack thereof of his suits, they will try their darndest to kill him. So yes, his brain is totally busted, thanks to a certain redhead. -Yes, this is a blatant disregard for what the other movies said. However, it is the more realistic option. There's very little medicine can't do, but the universe already established that they were irremovable. What I want to know is what they did with the gaping hole in his chest. His sternum would be in two pieces, so he'd need pretty much a new ribcage, as well as several square inches of skin. But it didn't kill Iron Man. The suits are almost entirely self-powered. The early ones may have connected to his chest reactor, but all later ones are self-sustaining. That's how they operate on their own, or on someone without a reactor. -It's PTSD from nearly dying in New York, that's what the flashbacks make clear. He's haunted by the events of the Avengers, and he keeps having flashbacks. He feels insecure without his armor, which is an interesting throwback to one storyline I remember, where Rhodey falls in the water in a powerless War Machine, and he almost drowns. From then on, he feels completely insecure while he's IN the armor. -That's an excellent question, I can't remember them being in the movie at all. Maybe Captain America 2 will answer that for us. But it could be that terrorism isn't SHIELD's field, just like the FDA doesn't deal with cars or buildings. -It's clearly a throwback to Rescue, but making Tony the damsel in distress that Pepper saves was a really poor move. In the end, Iron Man 3 neutered every single awesome character, from the Mandarin to Tony, Rhodey to Pepper...I'll rewatch it on DVD, but I doubt I'll like it any more. ...Incidentally, Iron Man 3 is a pretty flawed movie.
  13. I was never aware a patriarchy existed here, I just assumed it was a bunch of Bionicle fans coming together to discuss Bionicle, and maybe some other off-topic things.

  14. New update! Today, I present you a new Miru Nuva! As well as a Nuva chestplate, and a more feminine alternate body! I also made some edits to the other masks, not sure which ones I made in the last one, though. Next, I'll add more detail to the masks and probably the Akaku Nuva! Keep an eye out for the next update!

    Halloween

So, I've begun planning my annual Halloween party, and I wanted to know if you guys had any ideas or tips? It'll be an adult party with no alcohol, and it's zombie themed. Anybody know how to throw a party for adults without using alcohol as a crutch? In other news, found a cool song by an up-and-coming band, Five Knives: And finally, my next post should be a review of my latest purchase, the Hero Factory set Scarox! Stay tuned! OH ALSO IT'S MY BIRTHDAY YAY! Have some cake!
  16. Sure, I'll give you an infected Hau! PM me if you're interested, or if you're looking for another part, or money, or whatever.
  17. Mama Said Knock You Out - Five Finger Death Punch (Featuring Tech N9ne)
  18. It was my very first auction, so yeah, I think my eBay expectations bar has been set far too high
  19. Yeah, I know. I only won by about half a second, too. It was a total fluke.
  20. Just ordered The Wrong Side of Heaven & The Righteous Side of (you know the place), Vol. 1 by Five Finger Death Punch. Thanks to the magic of Amazon's AutoRip, I've managed to listen to the album, and I love it. Very American Capitalist sound to it.
  21. And in this box were several canisters And in these canisters were several Toa Now, at this point, my $28 has been made worth it. Six Toa Mata in incredible condition. But then there was more... 32 Toa heads...yes, 32. Note that neither those heads nor the rest of what I'm about to post were indicated anywhere in the eBay auction. They were a total surprise. Anyway, I spent $28 on what I thought were the six Toa...but I got 32 Toa heads, and even better, I got: A nearly complete collection of Kanohi! Again, this was never mentioned in the auction until I opened the box. I was absolutely overjoyed as I dug through the canisters and the box, finding all the masks. But wait, it gets EVEN BETTER... SIX infected Hau. Yes sirs, for $28, I obtained the six Toa Mata, their canisters, a nearly complete collection of their Kanohi, six infected Hau, and 32 Toa heads. What a deal! Now, I have an offer. I will trade an infected Hau for any of the masks I'm missing. That would be a brown Kaukau, a brown Akaku, a blue Pakari, and a green Kakama. Accompanying Toa heads would be appreciated, but not necessary.
