So, back in May, I went and saw Star Trek Into Darkness. And I really enjoyed it. So much, in fact, that I spent a solid 8 hour MOCing session constructing this beauty, based on the USS Vengeance and roughly to scale with the Hot Wheels Enterprise. (Ignore the hand, plox!) From the top: And the front: This is possibly my favorite feature: The rectangular deflector array. That alone took two hours to figure out and execute. I'm so happy with the result. Complete with detachable saucer section! (This was never shown in the movie, but granted, my saucer section is radically different, too) And a view next to the Hot Wheels Enterprise! I'm not quite sure. I know the first time I ever played with them was at a friend's house, but I had to have seen them before, I had already been getting Lego magazine for a while. My earliest memory of an actual set is getting Pohatu Nuva and Onua Nuva from my parents.

Yay, story time! Okay, so, my parents own their own business. And as a consequence, I've worked at this business for years. However, in about 2008, in the haydays of my Bionicle obsession, I was working at a craft fair with my dad. At this craft fair, we had a photo album, and in it was a page with pictures of the kids. And for some of us, he put our nicknames. Except for me. He called me Matthew "Toa". Now, this seemed fun. But then, halfway through the weekend, a woman comes up, and as she's browsing, she looks at the photo album. For the rest of the transaction, she insisted on calling me Toa. And it felt awesome. Looking back, it's vaguely uncomfortable, but stoll awesome. Kinda. What, that wasn't funny enough? I know, I didn't think so either So here's a GIF for your troubles. Kitty Vs. Lizards! I mean, it could just be my upbringing, but I see "for the next week", and that tells me that come the 28th, regardless of whether or not I can post, I should willingly give it up, because they didn't have to let me do it for that week.

Regardless of whether or not you're capable of posting a new entry, the privilege of having a blog was extended for the week of the 20-27. Therefore, simply as a matter if principle, you should respect that despite being capable of posting beyond that.

It's not a matter of whether or not you CAN, it's a matter of whether or not you SHOULD. The privilage of a blog was for that week, regardless of whether you can still make entries after that time.

Just because it doesn't explicitly say "Stop using your blog once BZP's birthday is over" doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. As a regular member, you don't regularly have a blog, so it's a privilage that the staff extends to celebrate the birthday. Once the time limit for that privilage has expired, even if you can still post new entries, it's still wrong to do so. From the birthday news topic, posted on the 20th: The privilage was extended until the 27th, so to post after that would be to abuse that privilage.
