Just saw one of your posts in "An open letter to Greg Farshtey". As a southerner and a grammar nerd, I feel obliged to point out that "y'all" should have an apostrophe in it.

The leaving out of the apostrophe is intentional as I've mentioned before (somewhere, I forget where but I think the blog). Since Standard American English does not have a "plural you" that is distinct from singular "you", I think it should. And the apostrophe makes y'all unnecessarily lengthy, so "yall" is my proposed plural you for SAE -- turned into one word with the contraction y'all as its...
