    Who Remembers This?

People went so crazy about that, it was beautiful. The early, innocent, crazy days.
  4. I wanted to make a Duke Nukem Forever joke, but that actually came out. So did Chinese Democracy.
  5. Gotta be honest, I'm probably just going to be in it for the new sets and pieces. I really hope they go back to the old Mata-style days where you had actual unique characteristics to each figure and gear mechanisms and springs and all that cool stuff, instead of just being glorified action figures with different masks and color schemes.

    Happy birthday!
  7. Proud to be quoted And yeah, looking at one's ancient blog entries can be...well, embarrassing, to put it lightly.

  9. My laptop is fixed, and all is right in the world. Gigantic thank-you to those who bought music to help cover the cost of the repair, including one particularly generous individual - it covered it and then some! I hate asking for things like that, so I try not to do it often, and I can't say how much I appreciate people helping out when I needed it. With that out of the way though, back to our regularly scheduled content!

I don't see why they shouldn't. If they don't, then it can be a cool underground retro thing!
  11. I did think about going with that, but I decided against it because A. while I intend to use my phone and tablet instead of carrying this around, there are still classes where I need my computer with me, and I don't have room in my bag for a laptop, textbooks, notebooks, and an external keyboard, B. it'd make my already-cluttered desk even more claustrophobic, and C. problems like these, in my experience, are usually the precursors of more serious, system-killing defects, so since I need this thing to last until I get a job - as said, I don't have much money right now, so if it did die, a $600 budget clunker that'd be outdated in two weeks and unable to actually do any of my music processing would be all I could realistically afford - better safe than sorry.
  12. So my laptop's keyboard stopped working last night. Got someone to look at it, and will cost about $250 to fix. MUCH better than I thought it'd be - I figured at least $500 - but that doesn't negate the simple fact that I don't have much of any money. Most of what I had from previous summer jobs and music sales I spent on college textbooks. With my internship I don't have the time to get a summer job, and I was so busy last semester that I couldn't work during the school year. Long story short, repairing my computer pretty much wipes out all but $12 of my money, which includes canceling a lot of plans and recouping a lot of money I had planned to use. I'm also completely dead in the wateer if it ends up A. being more serious or B. having water damage(Never spilled anything on it, but I'm nervous about it), because then the cost jumps to $1,200, at which point it just makes more sense to replace it outright. Anyway, enough beating around the bush, I hate doing this, but I don't have time to get a job to pay for it right now, and not only do I not want to be completely broke, but I also want to be able to actually have a computer if it ends up worse than they think. If any of you would be willing to buy some of my music and help me out with this, I'd be hugely appreciative. It doesn't have to be anything huge, every dollar helps. Anyone that's willing to pitch in, I'm in a big debt to
  13. IC: "Smart money says we're in for a fight." Ovechkin answered. The botanist was already dressed in combat armor and firearms, having gone straight to the armory after the ship's personnel check. "Use stun weaponry, even if they're impeding us, these Engi will be police officers, and the resulting fallout of killing law enforcement likely does not need explanation."
  14. OOC: I see you and I had the same idea. My mom got to pick the movie this time, so we watched Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. IC: "Now we get ready for a fight." Ovechkin bellowed. He climbed out from behind an overturned table, picking it up and carrying it onboard the ship. "Mess hall could use a table this size."
  15. IC: Ovechkin's tablet sat on the floor of the crew quarters, howling guitars and blaring drums emanating from its speakers. The Rockman was lying on his bunk, head bobbing to the rhythm as it played. As the last few notes of the song ceased, the computer's message came over the main speaker. With a groan, Ovechkin clambered to his feet, picking up the tablet and heading to the hangar.

If this is not a toy line composed of nothing but incredibly friendly Kopakas I am going to be supremely disappointed.
  19. Most people think puzzle games through and figure them out through intelligence and wit. I just smash the square peg into the round hole until it breaks the hole big enough to go in.
  20. BLANKETY BLANKETY BLANK Seriously, all I bought was Rogue Legacy. No summer job means my money's spread thin. I am really enjoying Rogue Legacy though.
  21. IC: Ovechkin's eyes darted around, hands gripping his shotgun, the gatling gun on his back now. The message seemed to suggest that any resistance wouldn't be from beings that could be saved. There was little use in stun weaponry, and depending on how far-gone the Engi were, death might be the merciful ending. "Major, if we are to remain here longer to recover more data, I suggest we fortify the room." The Rockman said. "Engi are not particularly loud, an ambush is a possibility, and as it stands, cover in here is scant."
  22. The fact that you are a musician has somehow eluded me until now. What instrument?

Really appreciate all the info - anything I can get to help is appreciated! Not all of it is applicable since, at the moment, my money's being stretched thin too many ways, and I have an internship instead of a summer job so can't add to it, so buying weights is out, but the rest of it I should be able to apply
  24. Everyone's posting about going to this and that convention, and I'm still trying to decide if I can justify going to my first one
