  1. G2 had some good sets but the biggest problem was that it catered too much to little kids. The script and voice acting were also lackluster IMO. Bionicle is not just a bunch of sets, it's very story-driven--which means it needs to have better tie-in content. G1 did this aspect very well. These days, there's a lot of entertainment that can be enjoyed by all ages (e.g. Voltron, Avatar, etc.) so production values need to be better.

    • [*]Probably Tobduk.[*]Brutaka would be the most powerful overall, but I'm sure there are others that can beat him. After all, OoMN members have defeated Makuta in single combat before.[*]Depends on the circumstances of the fight. Axonn would win on an open battlefield, but Hydraxon would win if he can get the drop on Axonn.

  2. At this point it's unrealistic to expect the story to continue until Lego brings the sets back. However, we can hope for an open ending--this chapter of the story comes to an end, but it can be expected to continue later on. Kinda like what happened in 2003 and 2005, but with everyone fulfilling their destinies (only if known).

  3. Lol at people saying you have a 'right' to complain about the story not being updated. You have a 'right' to demand that a busy man make the time to write a story he is not being paid for, when he has many other duties, both family and career-wise? Nope. Greg Farshtey continuing to update the BIONICLE serials after Lego finished the line was a privilege, something he was doing for us, the fans. We should be thankful for any update, however few and far-between they may be.

But do we want to wait forever? There's a difference between reminding him politely once a month and angrily demanding that he churns something out every week.
  4. I would be happy if we got a "next chapter" at all. The year is almost over, two serials are still running (at least they haven't been concluded, I'm not sure that running is the right word here) and we don't know if BIONICLEStory.com will still be around next year.

I'm sure they'll keep it running for another year because of what's been happening with Greg. I think Bionicle and BZPower are the main reasons he's doing this course anyway.
But maintaining BIONICLEStory.com costs money and work force - it is an investment by LEGO for a line that has been cancelled for 1,5 years now. I do hope you are right, but I am not entirely convinced.
BIONICLEStory's not that big a site afaik, so it wouldn't cost that much to maintain... would it?
Really depends on how they do things. If they try to maintain it for as cheap as possible, I'm sure it wouldn't cost a whole lot.
  5. But part of being good is being able to control your dark side, not just avoiding it. By wearing that mask, Makuta confronts temptation every day and overcomes it.

There we go. The Melding Teridax is truly and absolutely incorruptible.
  6. If alt. Terry controls light and is good, then why does he wear a Kraahkan?

It could be another Kanohi in the form of a Kraahkan. It wouldn't be the first time we've seen a Kanohi that is just forged into the shape of another. - :t: :l: :h:
I think he wears it to show that he's strong enough to reject darkness even when he constantly has access to Shadow powers. Besides, the Kraahkan allows the user to see moral darkness in others. This might be useful against those who are trained to resist telepathic probes.
  7. That's what I thought too--Sapphire used to have part of the copyright. Thing is though, I don't see why LEGO insists on preventing the game from being uploaded. Just because they have nothing to gain doesn't mean they have anything to lose. Unless, of course, there's something they're not telling us.

I don't think there's some evil conspiracy going on here; GregF described it like this: Let's say you've become a fantastically popular writer here on BZPower. You've made up some awesome characters and a great plot for a series of stories that everyone loves. However, when you were just starting out you promised that you would write a few stories that you described as "awezum!!1!" and they'd be about the characters that later went on to become popular. You still have these stories but they're really bad (you were just a beginner writer then and used leetspeak and no capitalization) but everyone wants to see them. Clearly you might say, "Well, of course I'd give them away!" but you can see how releasing those stories might actually do damage to the stories that you've already written, if, say, a character behaved completely differently than they did in your more recent stories. So in that sense, they do have something to lose. Of course, we might say, "But the game isn't as bad as you claim it is, and it's an important part of the canon!" Remember, though, as it was all Lego's idea, it's entirely their prerogative to decide just how bad the game is and how much it might damage what they've already got going. In the above example, you certainly wouldn't say that your fans have a "right" to see your old stories. Maybe, if you don't think they're too embarrassing, you would post them. But it's your decision to make, and Lego has made their decision.
Well if it's comparable to the Hangover pics at the end (anyone seen that movie?), I suppose it might be in Lego's best interest to keep it locked away forever.
  8. I've always wondered what the Melding Makuta can do that the regular Makuta can't, aside from the obvious light-based powers and Kraata powers. For example, can they form Kaita? Can two Makuta share a single suit of armor, at least temporarily? They are entirely devoted to the light, after all. The last time I checked, they're anything but selfish.

  9. Oh well. I don't think we'll be getting this for quite some time. I guess we can just hack save files until then. BTW, the last time I recall hearing from Deep Brick was December 2010 - about 10 months ago. Any word since then? I thought the legal reply was kind of funny though. What typical legal stuff. Just a long-winded way of saying "Yeah, not a chance".

The LEGO Group is, and always has been, the exclusive worldwide copyright owner for the Game.

Is that true? I thought Sapphire had part of the copyright.
