  1. It does, but it's largely among Gen-Xers who watched the show as kids in the 80s, and mecha enthusiasts like myself. Neither is likely to browse this site lol True-I'm sure there are some like myself who saw The Third Dimension and Voltron Force...but those were pretty sorry continuations by most accounts. So have you guys heard about the Voltron movie that's in the works? I am cautiously excited-while the idea of it getting a movie is cool, Hollywood has screwed up many of my once beloved childhood franchises, and I would rather not see it happen again. That being said, you guys have any thoughts on the casting of such a film? The only concrete one that's come to mind for me is I think it'd be cool for Peter Cullen to reprise his role as King Alfor from the original Voltron series in live action-I know he's a dedicated voice actor, but it'd be cool to actually see his face on the screen.
  2. Death by trying to stop Marendar. Cursed Great Being.
  3. We got a third year focusing on the battles between the Toa and the escaped forces of Makuta, undoubtedly involving the release of new forms for the Toa and/or Ekimu or possibly some new Toa being introduced, a set or two for Makuta, a new wave of villains, and more storyline focusing on the Protectors and other Okotans as opposed to everything being about Ekimu and the Toa. Alternate universe where the Hero Factory sets were part of a Bionicle continuation rather than a separate line.
  4. I like Mata Nui as it is now-no need for cleaning. Akamai
  5. If the those who play this game are tolerant enough to accept it, we could start using the prefixes to add to the list of letters in play. Such as the V in "Av". I feel like the suffixes have been used before, and I don't see why it would be a problem. Inika
  6. Well, technically it's just it's just the gold breastplate that came with Tahu, Kopaka...I think that was it...with different stickers. So theoretically you would just have to print the stickers, peel the old stickers off one of those, and stick the new one on.
  7. You can plead, you can beg-but Lego will never release my parts in these colors!
  8. Yeah, that wheel piece is really the only reason you'd need Ekimu, and frankly you can get it from other sets without having to ruin his equipment. I have been looking at the bricklink option and trying to get a parts count-it's definitely no easy task.
  9. This trailer was amazing-I love the fact that they're going to include a bunch of background/supporting characters in it in true MLP fashion. Also liking the look of the redesigned Canterlot castle; it's about time Luna got a throne of her own. I must say the Storm King is...surprising; I wasn't expecting him to be quite so cheery. Then again, I suppose the series has already done intense male villains in the forms of Sombra and Tirek, even if Sombra has been-at least so far as the comics are concerned-redeemed. I am super stoked for the Perfect Pair.
  10. So does Lego just call anything bigger than a minifig a bigfig? I thought bigfigs were like Hulk, Darkseid, and such; macrofigs are Giant-Man and Ares; and then you have deals like Steppenwolf that I'm not sure what you'd call-maybe a buildable fig?
  11. So with the conclusion of the seventh season of Ninjago recently, we're all left wondering what will become of Wu, the Time Twins, and the Vermillion; how the ninja will move forward with Lloyd filling the role of Master; and when the new Samurai X will drop the act and be revealed as P.I.X.A.L. already (the only acceptable alternative, in my opinion, being that it's really Seliel from the Who is the Phantom Ninja? graphic novel finally coming to television). However, the season also raised some questions through its depiction of the Elemental Masters of the past, who appeared both in flashback and due to time travel. The most pressing question is with regards to the previous Elemental Master of Earth, and where he stands in relation to Cole. Given that he appears to be roughly equivalent in age to Ray, Maya, and Jay's as-yet unnamed mother, it would make the most sense for him to be Cole's father. Problem is, Cole's father has already been identified as Lou, leader of the Royal Blacksmiths quartet, who has demonstrated no hints of history as an Elemental Master. Most likely explanations for this are that either he IS the former Elemental Master of Earth and the writers simply haven't written it into the series yet, or he himself might be related to this former master. Going off the weird timeline/aging process associated with the Elemental Masters of old, it would seem most likely that he could either have been the Master's son and already born at the time of the battle with Acronix and Krux, with Lou having Cole around the time that Kai and Cole were born to his father's comrades, or else possibly the brother of the Master of Earth, both of them being sons of a previous Master of Earth with Lou's bloodline allowing Cole to inherit the powers. The second question comes with regard to an Elemental Master of Ninja with no relation to the present group of ninja-in fact, the question is who IS he related to. I'm referring to an Elemental Master who has been seen wearing a gray helmet, some armor with his brown clothing, and carries a spear. Now, previously I've seen some consider this guy the Elemental Master of Gravity, due to his ability to float in the air, and thus an ancestor of the turban wearing and highly unoriginally named Gravis. However, during the most recent season, when he first appears in a group lineup with the Elemental Masters, Wu's list of acknowledged Elemental Powers includes not Gravity, but Metal. Considering that Karloff, the current Master of Metal, uses his powers to encase himself in metal all Marvel's Colossus style, it makes me wonder if this gentleman may not have been the previous Master of Metal utilizing his powers in a fashion more like Magneto, manipulating the metal he wears to lift himself off the ground. Also, it'd be kind of nice to know how the previous Master of Ice-whose clothing gives me a real Inuit vibe-passed his powers down to Zane, given that Zane's...a robot, while the Master appears human.
  12. Don the Mask of Ultimate Power. If we had gotten Toa Dume, Toa Nidhiki, and Shadow Toa Ahkmou instead of Toa Norik, Toa Iruini, and Twilight Takanuva. Be stoked!...what's ARA? ARA is a shortening of A Rude Awakening, you can go directly to the topic from the link in my sig, since I am the main artist of the project, or you can go to the wikia. Here: http://ara01.wikia.com/wiki/A_Rude_Awakening_WikiaOh, okay; I was familiar with it but hadn't heard it referred to by that shortening before.
  13. Hey guys, it's me again. For those who don't know, I recently started up my own YouTube channel, and have made a couple of Bionicle-themed videos. This post is with regards to my latest playlist, Wiriamu's reviews, in which I do toy reviews and may move on to others. Only have a couple up so far, and only one of them is Bionicle based, but I'm planning on more and hoping you guys will check it out and tell me what you think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcTU5tuqamo
  14. Death by One-Eyed One-Horned Flying Purple Lego Eater Korgot
  15. A story role for her alternate model. Toa Ignika
  16. Lewa: Perfect-I can attack her from behind. Gali: *under her breath* Prepare to get Rafiki'd.
  17. Be stoked!...what's ARA? If Kung Fu Panda became a Lego theme.
  18. Artakha winning the Mask of Creation was the best thing that ever happened to me. Artakha
  19. Anyone else on here a fan of Deltora Quest? I've been a fan of the series for years, and even now I love going back and reading the books. So six years ago Emily Rodda, author of the series, announced that she had sold the movie rights for the Deltora Quest books. Sadly, there's been no word on it since, and thus no indication whether or not we might actually be getting some movies or not. But the subject does make me wonder: what would a Deltora Quest film series be like? There has been an anime adaptation of the series, but-in my personal opinion-the films would want to stay as far away from that as possible. I actually wouldn't be opposed to these films being animated, but that doesn't seem to be the way most book adaptations are going these days. Now, the Deltora Quest books I believe technically fall under juvenile fiction-they're not the lengthiest works. As such, I figure that there are one of two routes that could be taken with them: Make shorter films-more like 90 minutes or so than the 3 hour format of Harry Potter or the Tolkien novels.Combine the plotlines of multiple novels into fewer films. The only problem with this is that you throw off the narrative a bit or risk not giving various events the weight that they deserve. Of course, it would help to mitigate the fact that there are fifteen books to adapt, sixteen if they decided to adapt Tales of Deltora as a separate film. Now, the question of films naturally leads one to wonder: who would you cast? I've only had a few ideas so far, with some in spoilers due to plot elements if you haven't read the books but are interested in the series: King Endon-not sure which actor would be ideal for the role, but I figure you could get a couple roles out of this guy Lief-again not sure of the actor; somebody young since at the start of the series he's sixteen years old. Jasmine-basically a similar situation to Lief. Barda-Manu Bennet: he's definitely got the stature for it, and would be nice for him to be in a good fantasy adaptation after the travesty of The Shannara Chronicles.Steven/Nevets-Chris Hemsworth: mainly because he's the only actor I can think of who's pretty built and also has blonde hair-plus he could do the motion capture for Nevets.Joyeu-Maggie Smith; I love the idea of a dragon with a cultured British accent.Honora-Tilda Swinton; the Emerald dragon's personality calls back her performance as the White Witch.Thoughts? Feelings? Wondering what the heck Deltora Quest is? Comment below.
  20. A lot of toy companies save money by rereleasing old products in different colors or with slight modifications.
  21. Oh, the memories. I grew up with Power Rangers, and watched pretty much the entire series up through to Ninja Storm. I ended up picking it up again with Dino Thunder-went back and watched Ninja Storm later-and stuck with it through to Mystic Force, at which point I decided I was done again...only to go back and watch more. Pretty much every series has had aspects that I like-I've always been a fan of the Zords/Mecha. However, I must say that my view of the series has changed as I've gotten older and had the chance to review it with (hopefully) wiser eyes. I would say my biggest complaint is the way in which various female characters are depicted: the belly shirts, the low necklines, the suggestive armor/monster costumes, the tight outfits-not a fan in the slightest. The sad thing is I know a lot of it does come from Super Sentai and the differences in the Japanese culture-not that that makes it okay-but a lot of it is also purely American.
  22. Yeah, it's torture, especially since we're two episodes away from an episode I REALLY want to see Despite that, the majority of the season seven episodes have been pretty awesome. I liked the introduction of Daybreaker, though I was somewhat disappointed at their failure to include or even allude to Luna's personal guard while Celestia was handling Luna's duties; it's like they're determined to pretend that those guys never happened. I'm also curious as to how Daybreaker might make a return appearance-she's way too cool not to show up again.
