A little over two years ago, BZPower Member Baraklava shared a pair of prototype Nui Rama sets they uncovered in red and yellow. Recently they had the time to make a video detailing the sets. They make a thorough examination of each of the prototype parts, explaining the differences and how the parts were used in the development process. As the reviews for LEGO Monkie Kid set 80054 Megapolis City start coming in, a cool hidden reference has been shared across the AFOL community. As you can see in Brickset's review, a sticker representing Onua's Pakari is on a 2x2 curved slope buried in the foundations of the set. The design, which you can get a good look at in the New Elementary review, is identical to the one from the 40581 BIONICLE Tahu and Takua GWP set from earlier this year, just with a new color scheme. I can't wait to see people use the sticker in their own GWP-style Onua MOCs, and hopefully we get stickers representing more masks in the future!View the full article

The new year is sneaking up on us, so it's time to kick off the 2024 Convention Circuit! We've added two brand new events this year, and so far the plan is to attend Atlanta Brick Con, BrickFair Fredericksburg, Bricks Cascade, BrickFair Chantilly, and BrickSlopes. We're hoping some others like Brickworld and Bricks in the Six might work out as well. If you want your MOCs at Atlanta Brick Con, we need them by February 3rd, so get building! Now that Bricklink is back online, they have announced the five Series Three finalists for the Bricklink Designer Program. The models themselves still need to be refined for production, so crowdfunding won't start until October 2024. That gives you plenty of time to drool over the Harbormaster's Office, The Art of Chocolate, Forest Stronghold, Camping Adventure, and Lost City, and decide which, if any, you're going to support.View the full article

This video came out earlier this year, but I missed it until just recently. The music video for the I Fight Dragons song, "Oh The Places You'll Go," is done entirely in stop motion and features some heavily modified Bionicle MOCs. If you're a purist, you probably want to avoid it, but it's a very well-done stop-motion movie that tells a story to go along with the song. Give it a watch!View the full article
