  1. Make sure you get up early tomorrow, because another new episode of LEGO Legends of Chima will be airing on Cartoon Network. Our heroes now know how the ice tribes are sneaking around Chima, but the question remains of how they're going to fight back. And what is going on in Sir Fangar's secret lair? The Snowball Effect airs at 7:30 AM Eastern, but you should check your listings to see when it starts in your area. Hopefully it doesn't roll downhill and go out of control! View the full article
  2. LEGO has just released some really cool prototype pictures and concept art for the Mask of Creation on their Facebook page and on Google+. Not only does it have a ton of potential for speculation about the story (what could those backgrounds mean? Who is wearing the mask?) but they also give us a glimpse at the new head piece BIONICLE sets will most likely get next year. Check it out! View the full article
  3. Today we take a quick break from Ninjago Month to bring you a review of a licensed set. BZPower Forum Assistant Zatth has decided to share his thoughts on 76019 Starblaster Showdown from the LEGO Marvel Superheroes line of sets. Will you let this set back into your heart or is wanting it just some silly phase you're going through? You'll have to read and watch the review to find out! View the full article
  4. The team behind LEGO Minifigures Online has recently posted an update announcing that the Element System has been incorporated into the game. The five elements are Light, Nature, Magic, Shadow, and Tech, and every minifigure belongs to a particular element. As Bionicle fans, I'm sure we can all relate to the idea, and it's cool to see the team is adding new content and growing the game! View the full article
  5. The following are the winners of the raffle Ninjago Big Raffle: 1. Place: 70724 NinjaCopter
  6. Over on LEGO Ideas a new project has reached its goal of ten thousands supporting votes. The F7A Hornet by nosmigon is based on the Anvil Aerospace F7A Hornet from the videogame Star Citizen. Having had a chance to pilot the ship in-game, I can say this is a pretty accurate representation and it looks like it would be a fun build to boot. It will be a part of the third review session in 2014, and considering the publicity Star Citizen has received in the gaming world, it might even have a shot. I wish it the best of luck! 7. Ninjago Month is slowly winding down, but we still have more information to share! Today Forum Assistant Sisen takes a look at 70726 Destructoid, General Cryptor's command vehicle. Will it slice and dice its way into your heart (right through the ribcage?!) or will it sit unused next to your Slap Chop? More importantly, will you win a copy of this set yourself? Read and watch our review to find out! View the full article
  8. Again, don't get your hopes up - the new BIONICLE website has now been officially released and is accessible from the bottom of the LEGO.com Products section or on lego.com/bionicle (entering BIONICLE.com doesn't seem to work yet). Notably it looks a bit different from the site we uncovered a few days ago, however, in terms of content there isn't more to see - that may change this Friday, though, so stay tuned! It's obvious things are happening behind the scenes so it's only a matter of time before we're presented with flashy new content. View the full article
  9. Bionicle is coming back in 2015, and perhaps with it we'll see the return of the original Toa. But they're too late, because DeeVee is well underway with his own take on the classic favorites! After his awesome Onua, he's followed it up with Lewa, Toa of Air. Pat's take gives him some rather simian-like proportions, which fit the character very well. He did his best to use the classic lime and green colors to evoke our memories of 2001. I look forward to seeing him continue his tribute to the Toa Mata as we get closer to the return of our favorite line! View the full article
  10. The entry period has wrapped up, and now it's time to head over to the voting forum for the Ninjago Monster Contest: Ninjas IN SPACE! There are seven categories to vote in, and you get to help determine who wins some awesome prizes! You have until Thursday, September 25th at 11:59 PM Eastern to vote for your favorite comic, game, story, song, MOC, and piece of art. Then there will be a final poll to determine the overall winner, so get over there and get voting! View the full article
  11. The BIONICLE Facebook page has been updated with both a confirmation that more will indeed be revealed at NYCC in October and with a promise that "a small thing" will be revealed on Friday, most likely either on the Facebook page or on BIONICLE.com, I'd assume. What do you expect this will be? A set picture? A promotional picture showing next year's location or next year's villains? Stay tuned! View the full article
  12. Well, I guess we got excited too quickly. As Christian Faber says in his blog: "I just want to point out that I NEVER post any official or current or coming story or material on this site. This is to be considered as a piece of fan fiction. NOT OFFICIAL, NOT CANON, just a comment to the great news of Bionicle returning seen from a 2001 point of view. Turaga beach is a metaphor for the place where all the old fans see the news. They have great knowledge but can't predict the future". On the plus side, it seems Faber actually reads the BZPower news! It's still really cool to look at and sets the mood right for the return of BIONICLE. -- Adrian View the full article
  13. Shadows of the Past Catch Rays of the Future on Turaga Beach. Such is the text on the latest Faber File (in classic Matoran lettering as if it wasn't good enough already) depicting a small Turaga-like figure standing on a beach with a staff whose top shows the symbol of the Three Virtues. Is this a preview for 2015? The bottom left corner of the image dates it on this year, so that seems likely. Does this hint at a continuation of the story? The excitement is barely containable! 14. Member Brickeens admits that he has taken a two year absence from the MOCing scene, but his recent creation Aptera shows that he is back in full-swing as the Bionicle resurgence news reaches new hype levels. While the MOC lacks a backstory, which I imagine involves an alien bug-jungle tribe and maybe the Galaxy Squad, it is not without character. The head stands out especially, but the way the armored legs contrast with the lanky yet clawed arms is also worth noting, along with lime green on the black figure. Check it out! 15. Former BIONICLE comic and book author Greg Farshtey has stated in the "Chat with Greg Farshtey" topic in the LEGO Message Boards that "[his] understanding is there will be books at some point next year, but [he does] not know if a writer has been selected for them yet." BIONICLE books were the main medium of storytelling from 2004 to 2008 and it's interesting to see them return despite declining sales in the end, but whether they tell the main plot or just side stories as well as who's going to write them remain to be seen. Still, BIONICLE's return is getting more exciting with every reveal! View the full article
  16. From now through next Saturday, September 27th, Toys 'R' Us is offering a free polybag with any LEGO purchase of $40 or more. You can get yourself a copy of the LEGO Legends of Chima Sykor's Ice Cruiser, which is the only way to get the Sykor minifig, as well as some nice trans-light blue parts. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, head over to your local TRU soon before they run out! View the full article
  17. Over on Steam until September 22nd you can go take advantage of the Warner Bros Publisher Weekend sale! Among the many games on sale are several LEGO ones: The Hobbit and The LEGO Movie are $7.49 each while The Lord of the Rings, Marvel Superheroes, Batman, Batman 2, and Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 are $4.99 each. 18. Don't get your hopes up, there isn't much at all to see yet but what there is to see is still pretty nice anyway. BZPower member TBK reports that for a short time frame, a new BIONICLE website was accessible through http://www.lego.com/en-us/bionicle. That link doesn't work anymore but the website still works here. It's really just a new picture of the Mask of Creation so far but it's nice to see that everyone's favorite website (after BZPower of course ) is so close to making its comeback. 20. You've heard the rumors, you've seen the leaks, but now it's official: BIONICLE IS BACK! LEGO is officially announcing the return of Bionicle today along with some details about the Mask of Creation - yes you read that right. More information will be revealed at New York Comic Con, but you can read on to see what they've said so far. I am now officially pumped! I think it's safe to say, if you can find a way to get to New York City on October 9th, you should do your best to do so! View the full article
  21. In addition to the blurb we posted, LEGO has also tweeted a link to a video of the Mask of Creation! Also, make sure you check out the official LEGO Bionicle Facebook page and the post on Google+. Today is a pretty awesome day to be a Bionicle fan! View the full article
  22. Tomorrow morning we'll get to watch the next episode of the LEGO Legends of Chima TV show on Cartoon Network. Set you're alarms for early, since 'Cool and Collected' begins at 7:30 AM Eastern/6:30 AM Central. Check out Cartoon Network's schedule to verify when it's on for you. Last week our heroes managed to hold off the mammoths at the ice fortress while G'Loona and Flinx routed the saber-toothed tigers and vultures, keeping them from getting their CHI. Will they be so lucky again this week? We'll have to watch and see! View the full article
  23. Allen over at The Brick Fan has reported that 30265 Worriz' Fire Bike is showing up at Target stores. Currently the set is only available if you spend $50 or more at a LEGO Store or on S@H. If you're looking to pick up more of these, this is definitely a cheaper means - so head over to Target to grab them before they're gone! View the full article
