  1. Running through the jungle on the chase for Chi, Panthar hides in the shadows and strikes with his claws. But what happens when he powers up on some Chi? Then Chi Panthar emerges, the Chima constraction set and the subject of today's review from the buildable action figure line for the summer Legends of Chima sets. From his claws to his large, bladed weapon, Panthar can be a formidable ally...or enemy. Read, and watch, on to see what is in store for this gold and black clad Chima set, and to see how you can win one too! View the full article
  2. The fine folks at BIONIFIGS recently dropped us a line on Facebook to let us know about an event they're holding later this year. They haven't posted any further details, but on November 29th and 30th they'll be hosting BIONIFIGS Con 4, a fan event dedicated to Bionicle and constraction, over in France. From what I've seen of previous events, they look to be a lot of fun! We'll share more news when we have it. View the full article
  3. Earlier this month, BrickFair New England rolled into lovely downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, bringing with it a LEGO-filled Mother's Day weekend. BZPower was there to take in the sights and bring you some coverage of all the MOCs on display (including your own!). To check out what was on display, read on! View the full article
  4. Over on a Japanese LEGO fan blog (I think it's called "LEGO-KEI"?) they have discovered a picture of what appears to be six of the upcoming minifigs from Series 12 of the collectible line. We reported on the purported lineup a little over a week ago, and this new image seems to confirm that the Space Miner, Wizard, Dino Hunter, Battle Goddess, Swashbuckler, and Video Game Guy will be part of the series. They all look great and I have a feeling some of them are going to become super-popular. View the full article
  5. I suppose most people in the LEGO community are familiar with LEGO online trading site BrickLink where you can trade all kinds of sets and indivudual pieces, new and used alike. BrickLink is now expanding their portfolio with their new MOC Shop. You can submit images and digital models of your creations to BrickLink where, after being reviewed by the BrickLink staff, it will be made available to the community to review and comment. The more popular your MOC is in the community, the more likely it is a BrickLink seller may notice your creation and choose to support and sell it for you. Winners of the monthly BrickLink Building Challenges will automatically become candidates for sale and do not need to pass review. Personally I prefer to keep creations for display on my own shelf, but since so many MOCs out there are true pieces of art, this is basically just like trading art, so if you always wanted to enter that market, this may be your chance. 6. The guys over at Brickset have found a new polybag for the summer wave of LEGO Legends of Chima sets. Bearing the number 30265, the set contains Worriz in a fashionably-red outfit and a fire-themed motorcycle for him to drive around on. Currently it only seems to be available at the Russian retailer Mir Kubikov, but I'm sure it will pop up elsewhere soon! View the full article
  7. Both the iOS and Android versions of Calling All Mixels have been updated for the next series of Mixels. 8. We're only two months away from BrickFair Virginia 2014, arguably the largest LEGO fan convention in North America. BZPower will be there in full force, and we want your help to make it even better. If you can attend in person, that's awesome, but if you can't, you can send us your MOCs and we'll display them. Check out this topic in the Convention & Event Planning forum to find out all the details on the BZPower Convention Circuit. We're offering plenty of perks if you participate, and your creations will be seen by thousands upon thousands of people. It's a great opportunity, so please consider helping us make our display even more awesome! View the full article
  9. Last weekend we reported that the Chima Water Park had opened in LEGOLAND California. If you can't make it out there though, you can still check out this map created by Joel Baker and other master builders at the park. Weighing in at 60 pounds and consisting of over fifty-thousand bricks, it's not going to fit in your pocket anytime soon, but it's a great way to see what the new park has to offer without going there in person! 10. We're back with another 2014 LEGO Legends of Chima constraction review. This time Forum Assistant Nuju Metru takes a gander at 70212 CHI Sir Fangar, one of the largest sets in the lineup. 11. The planning has been going on for a while now, but the big day is finally here! Keith Severson, Senior Manager, Community Support of the LEGO CEE Team has revealed the full plans for the upcoming LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN). The LAN is a complete overhaul of the aging LEGO Ambassador Program, and aims to be a huge boost to the way that LEGO interacts with the fan community and how the community interacts with itself. You can see all the details over at the CEE Team Blog, or read on for the full release. BZPower and BioniLUG will both be looking into the new program and hopefully applying for a spot - you can expect to hear more before September! View the full article

  13. If you're afraid of scorpions, you should probably not see this. If you are not, then you should probably not miss this. BZPower's Lord Oblivion has once again posted one of his outstanding creations. This time it's a scorpion, minion of the Egyptian Goddess Serket. Using blue glow-in-the-dark pieces and a detailed construction (just look at that stinger!), it's as accurate as a LEGO representation of a blue, orange and black scorpion with glowing yellow eyes can get and definitely one of our most outstanding creations around the forums right now. Check it out! View the full article

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham features your favourite DC super heroes in an attempt to stop Braniac from destroying earth. 18. Move over USA, Hungary now holds the world record for the tallest LEGO tower, NTD reports. The 34.76 meter-tall (114 foot-tall) tower was constructed in front of Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest, Hungary. The previous record was 34.43 meters (just shy of 113 feet) built by a school in Delaware last summer. If you were hoping to head over to Budapest to check it out I'm afraid you're too late - the tower is being disassembled today. I'm sure someone else will step up soon to try to top this new record though! View the full article
