Nearly four months later, I am sad you didn't post more Jurassic World rants.

Well, that leads into an interesting discussion of how outdated Linnaean taxonomy is. Because it's true that birds should be reptiles, but similarly, it's true that reptiles should be amphibians, and amphibians (and by extension, reptiles, birds, and mammals) are all fish. This is why, more recently, scientists prefer to use a different system called cladistics, which forms rankless nested groups based on shared common ancestors.

Hm. Not really saying anything new in that article; it's long been the idea that theropods were the primary feathered dinosaurs. It's only been recent discoveries that have shaken this idea, and I think we need more data before we can say for a fact they were merely exceptions. After all, Matt Martyniuk suggested once that all dinosaur scales may have been derived from feathers: http://dinogoss.blogspot.com/2013/09/youre-doing-it-wrong-dino-foot-scales.html

Please stop talking. Every new thing you say erases room for theropod facts in my brain.

Uh...where's the joke in the your signature? Because I read it several times and found it super unfunny.

Well, it is honestly pretty stupid to ignore the incontrovertible evidence of feathered dinosaurs and the link between dinosaurs and birds, and it does an excellent job illustrating the usual thought process behind people who reject such things.
I focused on a Dina comic because I can relate to Dina a lot. I chose this comic in particular because I have far too often found myself in her shoes in that instance and it can be, quite frankly, infuriating.

Really? I found it hilarious, in a depressing sort of way. The last panel really illustrates how people will ignore new discoveries about dinosaurs in favor of their personal preconceived notions on what they should be, regardless of footing in scientific fact. Plus it fits with 50% of what I post almost as perfectly as the previous dril tweet did.

I'm guessing the name change is because of me? LOL I didn't mean for it to go that far!

Well great, thanks for chasing me off of tumblr for having an opinion you don't like

I'm going to be moving all of my Bionicle/Lego related stuff from tumblr to here, I cannot stand these ###### sjw's injecting their vile filth of an opinion into the bionicle tag.

Are you under the illusion somehow that discussions of gender are any different here? You'll be hard pressed to find a topic about gender where the hideous imbalance of gender doesn't come up, and that's the most moderate you're going to find. You'll see all sorts of "vile filth" opinions, such as "gender should never have been decided by element", "Greg Farshtey only writes at most two types of female characters", and, worst of all, "men and w...
