Stylization isn't the issue. Marlin and Dory were stylized. But they also still looked like the fish they were.

1. Why was the Mistika's Silver so hated but not the excessive Grey of the Phantoka? If anything, the silver is much, much more preferable to the grey. 

 

 

I highly disliked both. I would have rathered their color schemes NOT be dominated by neutral colors. (Well, Kopaka and Onua have no choice, but you know what I mean. I like exciting, vibrant color schemes, like the Mata had.)

Nevermind trying to say that just because it won a poll doesn't mean it's what all fans would like and we should suck it up and accept it.

 

Well, that's certainly not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that, whether you like it or not, blaming the fan-built combiner on Hasbro is absurd. If LEGO held a series of polls for building a Toa, and your least favorite mask won, would you yell at LEGO for choosing your least favorite mask?

 

Anyway, I should think that, for helicopter to win both polls, there would still need to be a considerable amount of people voting helicopter over the other two options. After all, both cars also had the same choices, yet two different cars were chosen.

 

could have been worse. every limb could have been a helicopter. then Victorion would have been a quadcopter and you would never find her in any store because all the dads would buy her up

 

I mean, if Superion can be all-plane, I think Victorion being all-helicopter wouldn't be too strange.

I think their logic right now is, hey, they've got one serviceable helicopter combiner mold, and there's really not a lot you can do with a helicopter that becomes both a robot and a limb. I think, unless a character DEMANDED a unique transformation, they'd rather put resources into making new vehicles than the same vehicles that just transform in new ways.

 

Plus we'd lose the symmetry and the twins thing that way.

 

(only occurred to me after typing that that you might mean different helicopter models, but again, it's thinking if it's really worth it to reshell the helicopter mold to be a slightly different helicopter just for the sake of variety.)

Well, I'm not QUITE sure about the colors yet (they bug me a little but then again all the photos I've seen look in general oversaturated so maybe they're not that bad in person) but, again, that was a thing fans voted for, so, again, really not entirely on Hasbro here.

That would be quite impossible, as the first one is a Giraffititan(=Brachiosaurus), while the other is an Apatosaurus(=Brontosaurus). They're not even the same genus, let alone the same individual.
