  1. This is cool; I was wondering how our hero will manage to be there for most of the history of Bionicle while remaining anonymous. And the tactic of using shapeshifting to store things is always cool (brings up the question though: Could he use his power to create things?). -TLhikan
  2. Nice chapter. I like the excuse Koronga has for the way he eats as a Matoran . One thing I didn't understand: Why did he have to remove his mask to fit through the cave entrance the EP made for him? Is his mask that big compared to his body? Cool, thanks. -TLhikan
  3. Wow, I never even knew there where comics with drawings of the Element Lords (shows you how out of the loop I've been). The Vorox are pretty sad; these are people, people Koronga knows and has befriended, and they know what's going to happen to them. I wonder if that will affect the way the Sand tribe fights the War: They want EP to change themselves back/get the GBs to fix them. -TLhikan
  4. Finally got caught up (Spring break and all that ). The story really seems to be picking up, I like it. The scene where our now-named hero convinces Tuma to go along with the GB's plan was really interesting. I'm kind of spotty on some of the story elements that where revealed in the later serials, so I'm sort of going with what ever your story says on those . Still, I liked the scene with Annoa. Keep it up! -TLhikan
  5. Good chapter. The ruse of confessing to the crime was pretty clever of our protagonist. Of course, we know how this is going to end... I will say that some of the details are a bit on the heavy side; for example, I feel like we get told that the sheriff is obese quite a lot . But all in all, I like you writing style.
  6. I'm really liking the looks into regular Agori life, and the art (both yours and guests'). -TLhikan
  7. We are the fans of Bionicle, and we send this message out to the Lego Group: You passed up the chance to make a Toa Ahkmou set? Really?

  8. It's finally here ! I've been looking forward to you your retelling for a while now, and this chapter looks like a great start. Already, I'm eager to learn who or what this Matoran protagonist is. Looks like it's going to be an awesome story to follow! -TLhikan
  9. I actually like the Captain America set; it seems pretty well priced for a full sized vehicle and motorcycle. The X-men set is probably the best though, even if I do wish the Sentinel was bigger .
  10. They're pretty neat, and like the article said, they have some pretty smart piece usage. I might pick up one of the purple ones when that line comes out.
  11. I wish I had $250 to spend on a set. Or at all . Looks great though!
  12. I like the colour schemes. Some of these work as masks, but a few (like the one with the rhino horn) don't work as well in my opinion. Still, cool project . I hope they put more older Bionicle pieces in LDD soon.
  13. Very nice! I assume you started with a white/clear mask?
  14. I saw it yesterday. It was absolutely amazing and hilarious, and more than a little touching. -TLhikan
  15. Then he joins up with Toa Mazeka for the greatest Bionicle buddy cop story ever .
  16. Yes. And maybe with Vultraz as a counterpart villainous Toa? Yeah, Vultraz as a Toa of Shadow would be pretty cool. -TLhikan
  17. I like Artahka being the Matoran word for Creation itself, so that's how I voted.
  18. Of the three you mentioned, Tar is actually the least questionable for me. Ghost is not based on the Iden, but on "ectoplasma", in the ghostly-material sense. There's some explanation further up on this page I believe. Virus is sort of based on Makuta viruses, but I don't think it's as powerful. Tar, on the other hand, is a substance, just like stone or air, and works a lot better as an element than, say, psionics (sorry, pet peeve ).
  19. Mazeka. The guy is already freaking awesome as a Matoran; imagine how amazing he would be as a Toa of Ice. -TLhikan
  20. I can probably make out anything written in Matoran, but some letters like W and G require me to think for a second. I probably couldn't write anything in it with a cheat sheet .
  21. I, for one, find the appropriation of European culture into the Knights and Vikings lines to be terribly offensive. Seriously though, I agree with Bones (I don't see how his post is at all patronizing, but it's not my job to defend him in particular); Lego is a toy line. Ninjago is fun and funny (well, if you're into that sort of thing. It doesn't have that much appeal for me, but I have friends whose 10 year old son is crazy about the line). It isn't portraying Japanese culture, anymore than the Vikings line is portraying Scandinavian culture or the Knights line is portraying European culture; Those lines are taking themes from those cultures to make their own thing.
  22. Decaf coffee is like mild salsa: Someone is missing the point of why you consume it entirely.

  23. I'd never really been over there until I popped in to look at the rules. They only allow the BZPRPG and the winners of the contest; maybe we could get staff approval? I guess we need the input of someone who really knows how that subforum (and TBRPGs in general) works. From what people have said in this thread, there'd be support for it. -TLhikan
  24. Well, a few ideas: Obsidian: Resistance to bright light (darker eye lenses) is the first thing I thought of, but I like your idea of them having greater physical finesses with their hands/eyes more. Steel: Outer armour is tougher than any other type of Matoran, but they lack the overall enhanced strength/durability of Po/Fe-Matoran. Plastics: Have some mechanical components made of plastic, making them physically lighter while being just as durable as regular Matoran? Oil: Natural affinity for working with/refining chemicals. A question: Would it be possible for us to have an official Expanded Multiverse RPG? I know that the Bionicle RPG forum only allows winners and the BZPRPG there, and I don't know a lot about RPGs in general, but I thought it might be an idea to throw out to everyone.
  25. I concur, it should. Thirded. The Hau is great, and I hope it means more Bionicle pieces get added. I'd love to have the original Mata Masks.
