  1. It'll happen soon I promise. There is the judgment of all economics majors tomorrow also known as Armageddon also known as Econometrics test #1 also known as 25% of my grade in that class. Once that's done I'll write it. -MT
  2. So then Chro's Dr. Borg? If you're cool with that, Chro, I'll get the next scene up. -MT
  3. Can I assume the role of Dr. Borg? Seeing as the role means literally nothing except that my identity as Dr. Borg is public I'd prefer to not have an active player assume it, since it would mean the village taking an additional hit (losing Pupwa with no replacement) -MT
  4. So right um. I really apologize for the lateness of this, but first there were papers, and then tests, and now another impending test of doom. Scene WAS going to be up tomorrow...but we lost our dear friend Dr. Borg. Would anyone care to join...and assume the role of Dr. Borg? -MT
  5. Figured I'd join in on this before you all screwed up a list of best evers too badly. Heroes Samus Aran (Metroid) Pit (Kid Icarus) Mega Man (Mega Man) Agnes Oblige (Bravely Default) Villains GLaDOS (Portal) Ridley (Metroid) Majora (The Legend of Zelda) Master Hand (Super Smash Bros.) Reasons: If this were specified as Wind Waker Link, I'd go for him, as I like him quite a bit...but no other iteration of Link has enough personality for me to consider it (even if Pit's personality is obnoxiousness incarnate) Agnes vs. Layton is the battle of the top two blandest protagonists this side of the 21st century not featured in a FPS. That said, I'll go Agnes, because she at least seems to have some character flaws...which is at least worth something I guess. Ganondorf is overused, Ridley less so. If nothing else, at least Ridley doesn't happen to be behind literally every single major plot point in the Metroid series (well maybe that's unfair, Vaati did something somewhere if I remember right) -MT
  6. Am I the only one worried that Pupwa seems to have recently discovered the Metal Gear series? -MT
  7. You were maf, remember? You extorted coins out of people and then got bumped off by an assassin after everyone hated you for it. -MT
  8. All right SO Not quite Thursday evening when I promised but whatever. All roles have been redistributed; if you didn't get a PM/I didn't contact you via Skype, you're a regular engineer. Also note that Pupwa is still Dr. Borg (didn't see much of a reason to redistribute that), so yeah. One more change I made; everyone who has a knife now...no longer has a knife. Sorry, past welder, but if one of those people happened to become mafia, it would be a little unfair (and to be fair, you got roleblocked for two nights anyway, so it didn't make much of a difference). So with that said, there are 4 Nindroids plus the Distractor left. ToaK and RG are revived, and with all that said... THE REAL NIGHT 3 COMMENCES NOW! -MT
  9. Uh-huh. (Yes I know no screenshots, but roles are being reshuffled) Chro wasn't even in the game. Somehow I don't think you needed the screen to prove it. -MT
  10. So after a long delay, here's how things will go down. Both RG and ToaK will be revived. Due to how closely interconnected information was in this game (many people knew each other's roles), all roles will be redistributed as well. I hate taking roles away from people, but as things stood if we left roles as they were (minus the mafia) it would be inevitable that one of the new mafians would know who the important people were. The one caveat to this is if ToaK double posts again, he will instantly explode. New roles will get sent out later today. (maybe someday I'll be able to host a game without having to redistribute roles in the middle) -MT
  11. So here's the deal. The leaker has confessed, and although I'm still really, really confused as to his motive...it would appear that he didn't read the rules beforehand about no betraying your teammates. I'm considering making everyone sign a waiver saying that they read all the rules before playing. He did come forward, so I'm inclined to not be a total jerk. That said, he did ruin the game for a few people, including everyone's favorite double poster, so the leaker will be disqualified from this game, but not for getting roles in future games...provide he complete some community service requirements (notrly). Anyway, that's my final statement on things, and I'd request that everyone leave it at that. Not if you keep double posting. In all seriousness, RG will be resurrected for sure. ToaK may or may not; I'm leaning towards yes on him, but I've still got to figure out just how the mechanics of this will work. Roles will get redistributed after this...I'll see how many people I can leave with their current roles, because I don't want to destroy all the progress that the pro-town roles who have been active have made. -MT
  12. #banpupwa2014 Brief update: The "investigation" has proceeded much more quickly than I originally thought. We should be up and running again by the end of tomorrow. From what's been shown so far...it looks like there's going to be a necessary redistribution of roles, as well as a few tweaks made to the way the game actually works (the mafia's been put at a huge disadvantage) and a possible player resurrection, as it would appear RG's target from last round was directly leaked to Zane. -MT
  13. All right so Remember when I said I suspected someone wasn't following the rules? Well I just got some conclusive evidence that someone most certainly was not following the "don't betray your friends" rule, and was actively outing mafia to some of the players. To which I have to say: SIGH. I don't want to make blanket accusations here, but come on guys. The game only works if you all strive towards the same goal. It's absolutely no fun if you're outing each other, and if I find out who the traitor was, I'm going to exercise all of my host related powers and recommend that they be banned from ever having a role in a future mafia game. 2scaryrite Srsly tho, quit betraying your sides. Game is currently on hold until I figure out what to do about this mess. -MT
  14. NIGHT 3: DUEL OF THE FATES Burnmad was a popular kind of guy. Back in Borg City, everyone always wanted to be with Burnmad. People wanted his autograph, his novel, his toothbrush: he was just that kind of a person. Unfortunately, being popular doesn't serve you well in space, and a Nindroid was about to make him painfully aware of that. ...or was he? “Yo. Wassup?” Burnmad called out to the menacing looking shadow on the wall. “You all hatin' on me, but ain't nobody gonna mess with da Burn.” A low hiss followed, and the shadow moved closer. “...hey, back off, man,” Burnmad said, trying to keep the composure that made him so popular. “I'm not...uh...uh...please go away...please?” A sword was raised high in the air. “...no pls,” Burnmad whispered, covering his eyes so as to not see the killing blow. Which never came. A throwing knife flew out from the hallway and sliced the Nindroids' blade in half. The Nindroid turned and looked angrily at the direction of the knife. There stood Zane, champion of justice and user of corny one liners. “Back off, Nindroid,” he said, confidently. Then he added, “...or I'll back you off.” The Nindroid looked confused at the botched attempt to be as cool as Burnmad, but quickly recovered. Before long, the two warriors had each drawn weapons, and were battling each other up and down the halls of the space station. Meanwhile, Burnmad, the coolest guy in Ninjago world, made a very cool escape down the air conditioning shaft. Burnmad, An Cool Dude, attacked by Nindroid, saved by Zane The next morning, the remaining staff members found the end result of the battle. Another Nindroid had been taken down, this one without any electrocuting required. Another stroke of horrible luck had passed here, or, as the host began to suspect, maybe someone wasn't following one of the rules quite as well as they should. Whatever the case, there was no desire to lynch anyone, as everybody loved Zane for his good deed. RG, Nindroid, killed by Zane Night Roles, PM! -MT
  15. So now that I'm featured I guess I have to post the scene huh. Sorry about the delay; I had a couple of huge tests that took priority. I promise it'll be up by the end of today. (It's also a kind of complex scene to write) -MT
  16. Is there a prize for second place? Like...a Kai fighter with a cool stick figure comic attached to it or something? -MT
  17. Stuff happened, people died, ToaK double posted. Next round will probably be a little bit after the 48 hour deadline; all the roles have sent in what they need to (I believe); I've just been busy with stuff. Sorry about that. -MT
  18. Pulse's vote does count; voting ended at 3:30. Time for a double electrocution. DAY 3: BACK TO BACK Voting had ended quite dramatically. ToaK, who had been crippled with some disease that forced him to repeat what he wanted to say twice, had wound up seriously irritating everyone. In their usual loving way, the rest of the crowd had decided the best method of dealing with this annoyance was to kill the guy responsible. In this case, it worked out quite well. ToaK was tossed into the electrocution chamber, even as he yelled: "My partners will destroy you!" "My partners will destroy you!" And then silence fell. There would be no more repeating sentences in this space station. ToaK, Nindroid, Silenced Permanently "...I knew he was fishy," RG said. Enthusiastic with their results from last time, the engineers grabbed Underscore, who had been revealed by the late MoC, and prepared him for the electrocution chamber as well. Underscore simply accepted his fate and allowed himself to be thrown inside. Underscore, Nindroid, Electrocuted And so that was that. What had started off as a very positive beginning for the Nindroids had quickly unraveled into a nightmare. All it took was one trap sprung perfectly by MoC and an unfortunate glitch. FINAL COUNT Pulse: 1 Voltex: 1 Underscore: 7 Jag18: 0 ToaK: 7 Burnmad: 0 MT: 1 Null: 1 Roles, PM! -MT
  19. Unfortunately, the constitution has not been ratified to include suffrage for the dead yet. Terribly sorry. Pulse: 1 Voltex: 1 Underscore: 8 Jag18: 0 ToaK: 7 Burnmad: 0 MT: 1 Null: 0 -MT Vote changes used: RahkshiToa88 (1), iBrow (1), Ehks (1), Burnmad (1), Pupwa (1), Quisoves (1) -MT
