    Linkin Park Suck

Whilst browsing google videoes and another site, I came across a video 'Linkin Park sucks'.

The guy who made it obviously hates them so much that he dedicated his time to expressing his hate towards them

I, for one, do not like Linkin Park. I think they're boring, unoriginal, and above all- they've practically stabbed the rock genre with a sharp knife when they fused rap and rock together. Their songs have bad rock riffs in the background with two nutcases 'singing' rap, and there's apparently another guy who does DJ. None of them are rock stars to me, I think they're all bad at what they do.

But this guy hated them enormously.

I would link to the video if it did not have powerful swearwords in it, but it made me laugh SO much man!

It is in a 'Microsoft Sam Default Voice'. It's basically a long complaint about Linkin Park. But it's also very insulting, perticuarly towards the fans.

But what the heck- it was funny and made me laugh a lot!

    Guitar Song

My guitar lesson starts in about an hour. We're learning 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns N Roses. This song is epic beyond epicness.

The song is harder to play than meets the ear! ( ) the song is tuned down half a step, and has subtle differences in the riff every few strums, making it a hard song to play. But heck, it's been worth it, and I've finished the riff. The chorus is harder, and don't even talk about the solo!

Guns N Roses are such a good band. They're disbanded now, and Axl Rose the saviour has brought together several musicians over the years of his dissapearence to replace Slash.

Most people like the old band. Some people prefer the new band.

In my opinion, they cannot be judged. But what annoys me above all is the fact Axl Rose has kept the name 'Guns N Roses'. Because no matter how hard these guys can play rock, they aren't Guns N Roses anymore. Guns N Roses were Hard Rock, but the new musicians like Buckethead (who has serious issues, but he's cool anyway) play something like metal.

I like both the bands- and Chinese Decromacy is one You can't say that on television! -Kame album. But to call the new guys Guns N Roses is a crime, to me.

    As for Slash...

    Velvet Revolver, anyone?

    5th January update

Ah, Friday. The blissful day of the week when I can finish the week of school and not have to worry about homework.

I downloaded Guns N Roses' November Rain to my Ipod. Itunes is a fantastic invention. Nuff said.

    That's all for now...

I'm thinking about starting a Rock band.

I can play guitar- and I usually fit the role of Lead Guitar instead of Rythym.

My friend plays drums- so drums should be sorted...

My other friend plays bass guitar- bass is awesome.

The only things I'm missing are Rythym Guitarist- I should be able to find one somewhere, and a vocalist.

I couldn't sing to save my life- Vocalist would be the more important out of the two. Nirvana, my fave band, managed without rythym guitar for 99% of their success, but I'd like to have one if I were to start a band.

I'm going over to my drumming friend's house tommorow, to see a sample of how my guitar works with his drumming. If it turns out well (Which it probably will), this may be the start of a rock band.

    Hurray!

The new craze is Guitar Hero.

I personally don't understand what's so awsome about it. I mean, I've played it and it's fun, but it's making people think they can really play the guitar, when they can't.

    My guitar teacher is awsome.

Also, the Glatorian have arrived in the UK with an unneeded increased price! Anyway, I got Metus and Gresh. Both are awsome.

No, it's not a complaint. Hurray!

I was watching the Tahu Nuva animation on www.Bioniclestory.com today. It made me think, seriously, on how things have changed.

I think that the main thing that truly drew me into Bionicle was the mix of mysterious island and mysterious beings and... well... mystery. Plus a hint of action and danger, plus epicness.
Back in 2000, Bionicle was released in Europe as a simple and excellent storyline with fun sets to build that tied the two together.
I think that back then, there was just an island. No massive scaled storyline, just an island. An island with a tropical feel to it, one with mystery and tention. If BIONICLE had started with an urban city, I think it's success would somehow be... worse, in my opinion. Tropical nature and mystery was the main thing that drew me in, and I liked that. It was very good, especially storyline wise.
The storyline- speaking of that- was very good. It was simple. There were six Toa, never knowing where they came from, who just happened to wash up on the shores of Mata Nui, who came in time for Matoran there, and their wise village elders, with vicious beasts running loose. The Toa had to defeat them. Simple as that.
After that, the Bohrok came. This was equally as good, and continued with a fine 2003 with marvelous villians like the Rakshi and the first scene of Makuta, the mastermind behind all the attacks.
2004 was when things started going downhill for me a bit. First of all, it was set in a city- I'm not a fan of cities. And one of the things, perhaps the dominant thing that drew me into BIONICLE was it's tropical setting. Without this, set in an urban environment, I was let down.
The sets got better. That's true. I was impressed.
But the storyline went a bit strange. I never really liked 2004 until the end of it when I started getting the hang of the change.
The wise village elders, the Turaga, got practically nothing. Dume was never there until he was found unconcsious, and Makuta lost his mysteriousness.
After this, 2005 came rolling' along. I went through a strange quirk in life, and I stopped liking BIONICLE until the beginning of 06', so I didn't see much of this.
2006- this year, I felt, was an improvement. Back in the open world', free from the hot and stuffy domes of the Matoran Universe. It was like 2001- helpless villigers on a mysterious island fighting all powerful beasts- except these 'beasts' were a bit less sophisticated than the others.
The Piraka- I loved em'. I think they were great, save their backstabbing habits. I mean... what sort of challenge is it when your enemies hate eachother? Just say 'Thok stole Reidak's chocolate', and they'd lose the battle before it began... Not cool.
Then, 2007. I LOVED this year. It resolved so many mysteries, and created just as many. We saw the first true sacrifice. The mask of life was used. The red star was hinted. Many more mysteries occured, and overall I loved the year.
And now we come to 2008- this year. I've seen the spoilers for BL11, so I won't reveal any of that. But I can tell you this- I love the ending of 2008. Better than any other ending. Fabulous.
However. The setting this year was a little screwed. For instance, we were in a massive cave. That's not a great, imaginative thing, is it? Why not a temple, or a mysterious island? A cave is boring. Winter, nothing but clouds and blue. Summer, nothing but swamp and green. That was it. I think this year was by far the worst. 2007 was just a sea, but at least it was fairly creative- after all, you can't just throw air breathing characters into a sea without thinking it through.
The storyline- well, what can I say? It's great. It's resolving all the mysteries created all over the years. It's tying up loose ends, while making fresh ones for 2009 and beyond.
But honestly, from here to 2001- what has changed?
I'm upset about the mystery. It's great, learning the end of all the mysteries, but now?
2001 was on one island. A tropical, unknown, island. 2008, we know at least 10 different locations, plus many, many more. It's good, yes, but there's no natural scenery.
    But the storyline was good.
And 2009- this is what I love about it. We're going back to just one place, with nothing. A fresh new page in a book to write on. The 2001-2008 book has been filled, with locations and mysteries and facts, but 09' is new. We'll most likely get a ton more mysteries, too.

So what can I say? I'm looking forward to it.

I'm asking for an Fender Electric Guitar with a distortion pedal.

Did I mention that they've raised the prices in the UK AGAIN?

This is stupid, now. How hard can it be for Lego to say to the companies, 'Hey, oil's gone down again, can you make them Seven quid again?'

Nine darned quid. £9.00. Nobody try that 'Actually, it's £8.79' because it's Physiological.

That's something along the lines of $18. This is injustice. Lego are HARSH on the UK. Not as bad as some places, I know, but still...

Following Halloween and Guy Fawkes night, I cannot wait for Christmas.

I don't believe Christmas is entirely about presents. It sounds like I'm just trying to avoid making an image of myself as a spoilt kid, but I actually believe in that.

I mean- if I woke up on a plain old' day, I wouldn't be as excited for pleased as Christmas, when it's more about the atmosphere and families getting together.

    Can't wait!

    Urgh... I can't say I'm enjoying it.

The thing is, everyone hates school, without realising that without it, we'd all be mindless weirdo's who couldn't spell or talk properly.

But my new timetable is seriously screwed... makes me shudder whenever I think about it...

But hey, got Bitil a few days ago, he's a pretty good set, probably my favourite of the Mistika, alongside Tahu. I don't really mind the Matoran body, if it was anything else, he wouldn't be unique.

Oh, and he seems to have a deformed neck.

    ~Onua Nuva~

    Introduction:

READ THIS IF YOU LIVE IN THE UK: Guess what? I've been search for them all the time, and I found a few in my local Lego Shop! So, you may be in luck right now. Go check a shop!
So I was Mistika hunting, and I found them, all for £7.99. I also saw Takanuva, who is huge, but the main this is that the Mistika are now out in my country! Yes! They are probably also out in Ireland, too. They were slow, but at long last the Mistika have come to the UK!

    The Canister

Canister Picture (PLEASE NOTE THIS: I HAVE OPENED IT BEFORE I TOOK THE PICTURE) (Don't buy it if the paper looks like that, Onua's probably been mugged.)
    The Ignika lid picture

As it's been stated a billion times before, the graphics on these canisters are fantastic. For once, it actually looks almost... 3D... In a way.
The top of the lid is an Ignika, half of it is corrupted and half is shiny and new. Time will tell how much storyline significance this will have, but anyone can guess it's probably just an advertisement thing. It still looks good.
The back shows how Onua can team up with Photok, and the other two Toa and three Makuta. It details how you can fire the Nynrah Ghost blaster, and that this year is set in Karda Nui (See the side of it). That's about it... for the canister, at least.

    The Pieces

    New Pieces picture

The new pieces... pretty cool. However, the red rockets and all are terrible for the colour scheme, though I tend not to notice any more. He has only two pieces exclusive to this set: The Pakari and the Nynrah add on thing. The rest can be found in other sets. Anyway, he's cool- the new armour fits in well with the metru chest plate on the side, it looks like he's muscular and powerful as he is.

    The Nynrah Ghost Blaster

    Nynrah Ghost Blaster Picture
    Add on Pic
    Nynrah with the Add on

...Is great. Apply a small ammount of pressure to it, and it shoots away. It is sooooo fun to play with, and the best bit was when I shot my Cat with it (No, just joking). It makes a really satisfying 'pop' sound when you trigger the launcher, and the ammo is good looking. In my opinion, these even overtake the Midak Skyblasters.
HOWEVER. One thing bad about Onua, is that the big sheild thing on top of the blaster makes it difficult to fire. Easily gotten rid off, take the add on away. The Nynrah is back to perfection again. Ta Dah!

Come to think of it, the add on is pretty good. It's just in the wrong place. And the laster thing fits on well. But seriously, if you turn the whole thing the other way round... well... I'll get to that later. I'll tell you now that it looks good.

    Building

    Onua's skeleton pic... sort of.
    Finished product picture.

Simple, day to daily build of a Toa... though the top of the arms is slightly different to the average toa, and the thighs have modifications... nothing to interesting. For Maxilos mask haters, the Pakari is not for you. . The chest plate fits on well, as I said above, the silver legs and all are quite good for MoCers... but seriously. The legs.

    Onua himself, playibility etc...
    Onua picture
    Photok teams up
    Mask of Shadows/Pakari picture.
When you flip the Nynrah around, it looks better.
    Onua's back

The Legs are too skinny. He should have had some bulky Vahki legs, like Kongu Mahri did. But that's easily modified... Simply replace the legs and turn the Rockets another way round. I, personally, don't give a darn for the legs, though. He just doesn't look like an 'extra strong type' guy, if you know what I mean. It matters not to me.
The Pakari is really cool... in my opinion, of course. Contrary to popular belief, the Pakari isn't really like the Krahkkahn (That's not how you spell it, but I'm not looking it up...)- for proof, see the comparision. Then imagine the mask as red, or something- barely any simularities.
The sheild gets in the way a tiny bit, but mostly it's just fun. In my opinion, it should have been bigger, but it doesn't matter much. The wings a pretty neat, just miniture- then again, some jet planes have those sorts of wings. The great thing about Onua is that any con I can think of has some sort of reason behind it- so it's not pointless. The colour scheme is pretty rubbish, that's the major let down. But hey, who cares... the guy is cool.
Not only that, but he proves himself again in the story- read BL10 for details .
One last thing- Photok cannot team up with Onua without breaking his neck. He cannot looks down- not good for his health. Therefore, Photok, there is a hazard of breaking your neck whenever you go with Onua- stay with Pohatu for now.

    Overall

    Pros:
Mask is cool (Some opinions may differ) The Nynrah Ghost Blaster is probably the best launcher The Nynrah attachment is usefull for other things The silver and other things are good for MoCists. The Nynrah, flipped around, looks amazing Cons: Photok attachment is rubbish Colour scheme's a bit dodgy Too Skinny for Onua All in all, Onua is not as bad as the general public has been led to believe. He's pretty cool, has good MoCing pieces, his mask is amazing and the wings suit him pretty well. Buy him- he's pretty much worth £7.99. He will probably do well in awakening Mata Nui, too.
    Some other pictures:

Onua's got the mask of Shadows on!

I've recently made a series of epics of the island of Zehdam Nui, one I created. It will also be followed up by a game, and a MoC topic. They can be found in my signiture's links.

But I need help- every single epic and MoC topic I've done, no matter how good they are according to some people, never get more than 10 replies. In fact, only 1 person has replied to by MoC topic, and I spent weeks on it, I just don't understand. I looked at this turaga ranked members topic of a (No offence) not so great titan MoC, and he had loads of replies.

So I ask Bzpower- how do you get comments? For me, no one seems to be decent enough to just reply. I've honestly never made a MoC topic bigger than a page.

Can you help? Or will no one reply to this Blog post as well?

I don't approve of these 'Pinch Punch First of the Month' things, though it was fun to laugh at some people who did it repeatedly.

For reasons even I don't know, I'm looking forward to the summer holidays far more than usual, normally I dislike hot sunny days due the head aches they provide me- and theres always the fact I love winter (you can guess this by looking the the right of the screen). But maybe it's the devil who has possessed me. Who knows?

To add the the summer holiday false anticipation, I'm certainly looking forward to buying a Mistika. Krika, to be presice.

Sets get heavily pounded with complaints and angry comments every year, but the truth is this- it's aimed at 9-11 or something like that, and if you cannot accept the fact that they are not going to be complex and perfect for teenagers, then he/she should quit Bionicle- you're not going to change anything.

Another thing going on currently (In the UK, that is)- Doctor Who! It's a great show, though a little to childish for liking. (But just a tiny, TINY bit.)

I've finished the final book in the Saga of Darren Shan, Sons of Destiny. It's really interesting, especially the ending... so anyone should read it, given the chance.
And in 2009/ 2010, there is going to be movie for Cirque Du Freak, The Vampires assistant and Tunnles of Blood. That should be good, as well.

    That's all for now.

    Ah, that film...

    I shall see it.

When I first saw Batman Begins, it was really good and grabbed my attention. This was because, in stead of jumping in the fight and beating up the bad guys, the 'new' batman uses fear and stealth as weapons. Rather more efficient that becoming another juggernaut, hmmm?

So I'm looking forward to the Dark Knight sequal film. I shall see it.

    My opinions on Toyfair

    Toa Nuva
The Toa Nuva are very different for their original forms, but since there's a storyline reason for this, I don't care. The Hau Nuva has kept it's basic features, the Pakari Nuva is really cool and stealthy, the Kaukau Nuva's crazy. It's very strange, it seems Gali's got 2000 left eyes! I like it because it's different and unique. Now for the bodies. Usually, I'm not bothered about this Piraka body overuse thing, but it's getting a bit out of hand, now. I reckon they should use more Makuta body peices like on Krika. The legs on each one of them are ok, Tahu's is very Wolverine styled. I'm dissapointed by the lack of unique weapons- Lets see, Tahu's got a spinning shield thing, Gali's... Oh, wait, Onua and Gali both have sniper rifle styled Ghost blasters. I don't care- as long as those two have different types of upgrades for their blasters.

    Makuta
The brotherhood of Makuta's three agents seem very cool. My least favourite's Gorast, she lacks something... I'm not sure what, though. Bitil is my favourite, he's really cool and looks like a wasp. As for Krika, he's just amazing. He's massive, his heads awsome despite looking like a girl with his ponytail, and he even has a new chestplate instead of the Inika ones. I'm certain that these guys were mutated. Very good.

    Prices

Darn it. This is the worst thing that's ever happened in Bionicle, sets now cost as much as an Exo-Force normal set. This is ridiculous. Plus, there isn't any added amounts of peices, either. A great letdown. Oh well!

All in all, I'll give 2008's summer canisters 8.9/10.

No, I havent got him. But today, I just thought back last year when we had our first look at Icarax.

Back then, this was the usual gossip:

    "Icarax is terrible!"
"Icarax has amazing legs and rubbish arms!"
    "Icarax is completly new-piece proof!"
"They could have atleast have some kind of new mask!"

    Yep. Take it!

BUT, Today as I scanned the various posts in the official 08 topic, I saw this:

    "I NEED ICARAX!"
    "WHERE DO YOU BUY ICARAX!"
"HELP! WHERE IS ICARAX! I NEEEEEED HIM!"
    "MUST GET ICARAX! NO!"

    People were yelling for Icarax!

What a change in direction, eh?
