  1. But you are planning to use all the commands suggested, right? If so, then maybe you could the rep system to see if you should use a command sooner rather than later? That just my two cents on this. Anyway... [bulltop]: Fly like an eagle, into the future! [bulltop]: Look for a bigger ship. [bulltop]: Wonder what the big red button does. Planning to, but who knows if I'll ever end up getting ALL of them in (and believe me, there is some craaaaazy suggestions). But yeah this would be like, if I see a lot of upvotes then I'll make sure to use that update in the next few panels instead of like, two hundred down the line. In any case, just so you all know I've got the next next update all planned, just don't have time to finish the drawing yet...so no worries, the blasting into space is still coming You can never have enough song lyric commands after all
  2. Do something with the Lego movie, maybe Emmett building the logo or something.
  3. Also I'm considering integrating the Rep system into this a little bit, maybe if a particular command gets a lot more upvotes I'll make sure to use it? This might backfire on me but hey why not give it a shot.
  4. Haha you dork. Fun fact: the list of commands I still need to use is now about 6 pages long, 10 double spaced. Good job everyone! Will I ever find a way to twist them all into the story? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT. In any case, for those who thought the road trip update was long gone...well...I have bad news. It's back, and this time, it's brought friends. So let's get this ship on the road!!
  5. Sorry folks, I kind of got burnt out that day, the update was supposed to be everything you'll see today, but I only got halfway done and crashed so I didn't want to post it till everything was done. Also protip this isn't a perspective switch, I'm super tired of drawing that grey room The image links to the beginning of the whole update; if you've read what I posted yesterday click this text.
  6. Yes, it sure would be terrible if this turned into a competition for people to produce content that others will like. Truly a shame. You say that sarcastically, but how would that be in any way desirable? People will always exist who desire to create content that others can enjoy or appreciate, with or without a "rep" system, and that's where the really good stuff comes from; but a competition to create like-able content is a competition to create content that appeals to the widest assortment of people while expending the least amount of creative ingenuity or expressing only broadly accepted opinions. Now I'm not saying that's the sort of situation that a rep system will create, but if it is I personally won't be glad to see it happen. Incentivizing people to create "good" content will not necessarily cause more "good" content to appear. I don't really have much to say here, you literally are arguing with yourself. If people will always exist who desire to create content for others to appreciate, how is giving people a method to show their appreciation not going to encourage those people. How is content that appeals to the widest assortment of people going to expend the least amount of creative ingenuity? Have you ever tried making things that people will like? It's REALLY hard! And it takes a ton of creativity! And that last sentence...if an incentive doesn't encourage an activity, by definition it's not an incentive? I don't know for sure the rep system will do anything, but my gut says it will because people love internet points, and will do whatever they can to get it. Which is a good thing, since creating activity on this site is exactly what we need right now?

  8. Yeah, these are pretty bad. Lego's got such a weird way of doing things - The Lego Movie demonstrates they know somewhere in their hearts that you can market to kids without talking down to them, but then they pull this stuff. Oh Lego.
  9. Do not fret my friends, your mighty stream of out of character, silly, and outright ridiculous commands has not been ignored and we will be seeing at least a few of them in action shortly; the exposition fairy merely had to make a brief deposit. We shall return to silly shenanigans soon.
  10. Yeah, it's really terrible how they made the strong character look strong.
  11. Black...Six? Huh, I guess that his shirt kind of does look like a six! Weird! Gotta love it when those happy coincidences happen haha! Anyway, this one is a little small, but enjoy....
  12. Hapori Tohu would ask to eat us if he were here. ...Ask...?
  13. ...So we are now banned from giving ourselves commands? I'd like to see how that works. No come on, you aren't banned from giving -you- a command, you're banned from giving you a command! It's so obvious. <3
  14. Don't know what you're talking about, you all didn't see anything. *fixes link* Anyway, enjoy the.... Ornery Admin update
  15. He's an alien, not a baby! Anyway, let's bid adieu to this nasty alien guy, and say hello to someone even weirder!
  16. Hapori Tohu is hungry. So...very....hungry.

    IGNITION

Lack of purple blood specks everywhere loses two points to the cosplay.
  18. The only shock here is that you were expecting anything better
  19. Woof, sorry for the delay y'all. Hope you're prepared for the ROAD TRIP update. That's right. Ten or so pages of flying. IT'S GOOD STUFF. Are we there yet??? I had to build up a lot of stuff but now it's mostly done so you should be seeing another update late tonight/early tomorrow. ..which happened, and then.... ....And Part 3 of the whole shebang went up. This is one of those times where I have pretttty much nothing planned so go nuts, as long as it's in character I'll probably use your commands haha.
  20. Hapori Tohu is roughly 130 miles in Diameter, slightly smaller than your average Death Star I.
  21. The one day late update Sorry for the delay on this, this part and the next one coming up are pretty resource intensive, lots of drawing assets need to be made haha.
  22. See the thing is when people unintentionally offend they still offend. The Washington Redskins aren't intentionally being offensive to the natives but it's still coming off that way. Yet I hear very little of people complaining about it. Maybe because it's not actually offending anyone? This is going to seem a little off topic, but I feel like jumping in on this comment will illuminate the problem many of you are having with understanding what some critics is trying to say. The post above me illustrates ignorance of an issue due to lack of visibility - this person obviously does not live in an area where Native American people are prevalent. Not unsurprising, when the vast amount of them live in places like Oklahoma. This also happens to be my home, and thanks to that, I have a front row seat to the reaction to these sorts of things from the actual people they offend. I'm not native myself, so I can't speak for them, but I can echo what I've heard said, which is that VERY UNDERSTANDABLY sports team names like these are in VERY BAD TASTE. Not only do the mascots and logos tend to be racist caricatures that diminish what is a wide swath of cultures and peoples, but they literally dehumanize native people by making them equivalent to animals or sock colors or whatever given minor entity is usually chosen from a sports team's name. Frankly it's a disgrace these kinds of things are still around and not some silly sidenote in a history textbook - but they are, and all too often they're defended by people because it's "all in fun", a "tradition", or something that has become part of "american culture". All in good fun, but at the end of the day the microcosm of ideas these racist caricatures perpetuate in people's minds (right alongside many other forms of the same thing; Disney has some particularly funny ideas about what native peoples are like in Peter Pan for example) will begin to form a grander picture for them that damages their understanding of reality to such an extent that they think it must be truth. The Ninjago argument isn't really about Ninjago. Ninjago is just a microcosm of grander forces at work - thousands of pieces of media each giving off their own misunderstandings and misappropriations of Japanese culture because "it's cool". And sure, taken one by one, none of them could be perceived as particularly harmful. The problem is the grander understanding created in people's minds by these memetic ideas, and I don't mean just "the dumb ones" when I say people's minds. I mean many of you arguing in this thread, I mean some of the most intelligent people I know. It happens, it's unavoidable, and the best thing you can do is try to correct the misunderstanding in whatever small way you can. That's all this is about, it's not a witch hunt for people who enjoy the toyline or call to riot. Let's try to keep it in perspective shall we?
  23. Sorry about the delay today guys, had some stuff come up - this is about half of today's update, I'll try to get the rest done tonight but for now... Part 1 of the Minion Update
  24. Well I'm a little late on this one, but I proudly present: The rudest update ever! Man this guy's mean!
  25. Not gonna lie, the days when the Rayg kit ruled the comics forum were good times.
