  1. I finished my costume. Almost six years in the making!
  2. Someone asked in the Discord server and B6's response was: So it might just be taking a while for everyone's stats to update. I know mine jumped from 7k (my old post count) to 9.5k within the past few days or so.
  3. I've been a busy boy. Slowly chipping away at making my Mandalorian armor and my Spirit costume. I want to have Spirit done by Halloween and I might even be able to do it. I've also been making a vacuum forming box for the makerspace. Been mulling over cool BIONICLE stuff to make with it. Oh and my LEGO Ideas project finally got approved. You can find it at ideas.bfaho.me. Check it out if you like Miraculous! Or even otherwise.
  4. i like how this one line is still cut off in the blog list, modern web design is so great you guys
  5. Yeah I'm sure some of them are messed up, haven't bothered to check and don't much care really. When I say "possibilities" I mostly mean "hey these'd be neat to store special things in" so I don't have any plans to try and build anything with them yet. Unlike RoboRider and BIONICLE canisters there don't seem to be any connection points at all, which is a shame. As for discs they all seem like a generic variety, but the gold Millennium one looks neat.
  6. Recently came into possession of all these. They were all empty, though one had a fun surprise inside. No idea what I'm going to do with them but the possibilities are exciting.
  7. The longer this goes on without actually saying "bionicle" the less inclined I am to think it's BIONICLE related.
  8. So I've made my way into the real world and with that comes restrictions, in this case space restrictions. I'm not living in a place where I have enough space for everything, including my LEGO collection. So for the moment it looks like I'm going to be prioritizing other hobbies and creative outlets over my LEGO stuff. Gonna see if I can get back on that Mandalorian armor and some other things I'd abandoned. Basically I came to this realization when I decided to plan a short trip back home to grab some stuff. I felt like I could either bring the LEGO stuff or the costume stuff, and the fact that it's coming up on summer coupled with the fact that I have a workspace and access to tools again, and on top of that the ability to actually go places now, means that for the short term I'm gonna try with the costume stuff. I still come here every day and I'm not gonna stop buying new LEGO stuff though. So it may not be the darkest age but still a bit of a step away.
  9. Honestly I'm down for whatever Faber does, even if this doesn't turn out to be a real BIONICLE thing.
  10. I suppose this is a good way to justify the new molds in the Steamboat Willie set.
  11. Went to Goodwill yesterday and found this. So now I have Gresh, and it only took uhhh *checks calendar* oh
  12. Got the Darth Maul set today and man am I looking forward to using those "cloth" shoulder shells in a bunch of ways. First time I've actually built something in a while. Feels good.
  13. I've mentioned in a couple places that I'm not really a fan of the big Apocalypseburg set, and I just realized what the best comparison to make would be. This is pretty much how it looks to me: too structured to be a properly "chaotic" environment, but with a bunch of stuff on it making it look just kinda messy. In the words of Annie Hughes, "it seems kind of slapped on".
  14. Deal. Don't accept this power only to turn on me in a fateful twist brought upon by my own hubris.
  15. Got the convention circuit perks and I don't feel like doing a contest or anything for it. First person wins I guess.
  16. Well it is a daunting build. I built one bag per day so I didn't have to dedicate a giant block of time to it doing a lot of repetitive stuff.
  17. I have no idea where I am going to put this.
  18. That’s true. The Staff of Light wouldn’t even fit into a 2009 fist, would it? Depends on how you build it. Connecting the Staff of Light in that particular way relies on the through-hole connection of the single socket joints, which the hand pieces lack. You could build it in such a way that it would fit, just like it could fit into the basic socket hands in the other way.
  19. Depends on what I'm making. If I'm going for a lot of detail I'll just build articulated hands; the Mixels really opened up a world of possibilities for those. If I just want them to be holding something I'll use the current fist piece, because it makes for a good looking grip. The thing is probably over half the things I build (or rather, built, past tense, haven't been able to do much of it in the past couple of years) don't even have hands, so it's not something I really have to choose between that much.
