  1. 1: In the future. That's all this theory assumes. 2: Don't know. The Toa may find a way to go back and end the war. 3: Bodies of Toa of their own elements (Gali-Water, Tahu-Fire etc.), thus they keep the elements they had prior. There could be all sorts of reasons why Lewa would get a Toa of the Green's body though, eg. Kestora ran out of resources to make a Toa of Air, or they forgot how. 4: I think they might be Agori, but they may be a new species entirely. 5: Okoto could've been formed when Mata Nui used the last of his power to bring new life to Spherus Magna when finishing his mission.
  2. Look, I know it's a hard reboot and this will never happen, but it's still early enough in Gen 2's story that I can think of a theory that could potentially link generations 1 and 2, and I just feel the need to post it despite the repercussions that will follow. My theory involves the Toa, and how they came to be on Okoto with no memories. Let's go back to the tip of the Gen 1 story. According to Greg Farshtey, Takanuva's destiny was intended to be to play a major role in a civil war between two groups of Great Beings: a group led by Velika that wanted to lead SM directly, and a group who wanted to avoid interfering with the new societies at all. This was assuming the story team didn't have their own plans for his destiny, and since they won't be focusing on Gen 1 anymore, that'll almost certainly not happen, meaning the war will likely be canon. Velika's grand plan had something (we don't know what) to do with the Toa Nuva, and required that they remain alive. Meanwhile, the Marendar is on the loose, hunting down any Toa it finds. My theory goes like this: During the civil war, the GBs who oppose Velika use the Marendar to kill the Toa Nuva (by this time Kopaka and Pohatu would've escaped the Red Star) for their own protection, so as to ruin Velika's plans. However they know the Toa Nuva would just be teleported to the Red Star, so they would get Takanuva to retrieve the Mask Of Time from the Dark Hunters (or Voporak if he still has it), and then make an extra attachment to give it even more power and abilities (the 'second half' of the mask that is rumoured to exist). Meanwhile, the Kestora would transfer the Toa Nuva's "AI" (consciousness) into new bodies, those of normal Toa rather than souped-up Toa Nuva. Either the Kanohi Nuva wouldn't be compatible with the new bodies or they were looted between when they died and when they teleported. Either way, there would be a need to give the Toa Nuva new masks to go with their new bodies, hence why they now wear masks with different powers. Although these new bodies have the same powers as their old bodies, Lewa's new body would be that of a Toa of the Green, and his new Mask of Air would compensate for his lost Air powers. This would explain why he'd have both Air and Jungle powers. Velika would no doubt try and bring back the Toa Nuva from the Red Star so he can complete his master plan. To this end, the Great Beings would use the now-2-piece Mask of Time to transport the Toa into the future, and out of Velika's reach. Then the mask would (by whatever means) split back into 2 pieces and be separated, so Velika can't reuse it. Fast-forward to the 2015 era, and the island of Okoto. Ekimu and this new Makuta (who may predate the MU because there's no way the name would be used again after Teridax disgraced it) fight each other, both pass out, and the Protectors learn of the Prophecy of Heroes from Ekimu's whispering body. They recite Ekimu's whisperings from the Temple of Time, and that sends some sort of signal to the Red Star, where the Toa Nuva are cradled after their trip through time, causing the Red Star to eject them onto Okoto, creating the meteors we see falling from the sky onto the island. Obviously there are a number of reasons why this cannot be: It's a hard reboot. There are NO connections between Gen 1 and Gen 2.The Mask of Time transporting the Toa Nuva into the future is close enough to time travel. There is NO time travel in Bionicle. The GBs' war has not been confirmed to be canon at time of writing, as the Gen 1 story has not been written that far yet.The existence of a second half of the Mask of Time is still speculation, and is brought into question by the fact that the mask we know was made by a Toa, not a GB.What happens to MU residents who die outside the MU is unclear. Although the Red Star was said to play a part in Jaller's revival, not even Farshtey knows how it actually happened. https://community.lego.com/t5/LEGO-General/Chat-with-Greg-Farshtey/td-p/6605180/page/429...but I just wanted to get this silly theory off my chest because it sounded like an awesome idea. Feel free to savage it as much as you want.
  3. 2008 would've made an amazing film for sure!
  4. Actually, it said on the latest Australian Lego Club catalogue that we should be getting them in February. I've already got all of them because I ordered the day they were first put on our Lego Shop, which was the 2nd/3rd of January. Also, I'm pretty sure that Lesovikk was sold here. I remember that my older brother got him at one of our local stores. All of the other sets after 2004 I can agree on. The others before that I don't remember anything about when it comes to the release dates. My point exactly. The whole world was promised it would get Bionicle on January 1. Australia was never told of any other date until recently, by which time the promise of the whole world getting it at the same time was broken. Am I right in saying money from buying them online goes to either America or Denmark? If so then that's bad for the economies of countries that didn't get them on January 1, as it would send our money overseas.
  5. That's completely normal if you live in Australia. We didn't get Toa Ignika until August 2008, the 2004 Matoran until early 2005, the 2003 Matoran until 2004, and Toa Lhikan & Kikanalo until ~2006, PLUS we never got Lesovikk at all! The 2015 sets failed to release here on January 1 and we're STILL waiting, so I too expect Australia to get them in August, assuming we get them at all.
  6. 2010 would be better if they had released the baterra as sets.
  7. I keep thinking, if this is a soft reboot (it isn't), it could be set in the distant past, long before the Core War.
  8. The link reads "Bionicle 2014", not "Bionicle 2015"! o.O Either way the link doesn't work for me.
  9. This is Charlie, a Machop who lives in a Glittering Cave on Mont Blanc, in France. He came down to Paris to pay his respects to the human journalists and cartoonists who were murdered by terrorists this week. He may be a Fighting-type, but he knows better than to murder for no good reason, making him more mature than any terrorist. He is also smart enough to know that the pen is mightier than the sword (or in this case gun). A friendly local salesperson gave him a necklace with the peace symbol, and taught him the peace sign, ergo the appearance of both above. I apologise in advance if the image is too controversial to post here, and will remove it at a moment's notice if need be. And yes I noticed I drew Machop's right hand the wrong way. I apologise for that too.
  10. The other three Skull Spiders are now confirmed to be aquatic; have a hard, resistant shell; and be able to levitate.
  11. https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/200230732/custom-made-to-order-lego-bionicle-pin?ref=shop_home_active_23 Someone posted this on the Bring Back Bionicle Club, and I thought you guys might also be interested. It's a dress with images of Generation 1 Bionicle characters printed on it.
  12. Not my kind of combiner. I prefer combiners that are models of whole new characters, like Spiriah, Botar and the Sand Stalker were. Also, where are Wairuha and Akamai?
  13. One:Capital letter I.Two:It's kraata, not karate.Three:After the word, "pet" you need to put a comma. A kraata would be like raising an oversized bug (since they level up) plus, there's a lot to choose from. Skull spiders can possess you and there's only three to choose from. I might say kraata so I can get him a rahkshi suit and help me fight, or a skull spider that's like a faithful companion. I don't think I have a preference so I'm gonna say both. Stupid auto correct This is the exact reason why you NEVER use AutoCorrect. To answer your question I'd prefer a Kraata, particularly a Kraata of Sleep. A Kraata of Sleep can ensure me a good night's sleep and then defend my home from intruders by quickly and easily putting the intruders to sleep.
  14. 2009's soft-rebooted story over-complicated the lore. I confess I almost lost interest when 2009 started as a result, and I see a lot of other fans felt the same way.
  15. Of course The Kingdom Velika was a Great Being. Everything that happened before Matoro's attempt to revive Mata Nui, including the moment where Velika body-swapped into a Matoran body over 101,000 years prior, is exactly the same.
  16. I REALLY hope they don't explore the stars in this reboot. Better to just limit themselves to the planet Okoto is on, at least in the medium term.
  17. As I have stated multiple times before, I used to be a fan of Digimon back in the days of Digimon Adventure, but lost interest because they ended it and then gave the series a hard reboot, just like they did with Bionicle. Well I just heard news that, in honour of its 15th anniversary next year, Digimon Adventure is coming back! I know little about this new Digimon Adventure, but it appears it will be based around the original 8 Digidestined (including Kari), and be set 3 years after the events of Digimon Adventure 02 and the defeat of MaloMyotismon. I will definitely be looking into this, and my interest in Digimon may come back as a result. In addition, this development gives me hope for Bionicle Generation 1. If the creators of Digimon can bring back a continuation that had been amandoned for well over a decade, LEGO can do the same thing with Bionicle! Greg Farshtey has put it in the perfect position to be brought back in the future with a fresh new story on Spherus Magna, so who knows? inb4 "no, Bionicle Gen 1 is never coming back, you can't compare it to Digimon"
  18. Someone made a meme with a pic of Metus from TLR with the caption "That's a joke", but I can't find it anymore. Does someone here have it?
  19. It's only an issue if people are 3D-printing parts that LEGO still has in production.
  20. It is a hard reboot. Bionicle Gen 1 is dead and will never come back whether we like it or not.
  21. Too many to choose! Teleportation... Dodge... Invulnerability... Quick Healing... Chain Lightning... Plant Control... But if I had to choose only one it would be Sleep. Then I could end battles and incapacitate foes quickly and safely.
  22. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks0U-3ZV3Ng Not sure if I'm allowed to double-comment in my own blog, but I just found this video. It reveals that Machop has not been changed to green, but a brighter shade of golden brown. This entry will now close, but not deleted. I'll keep it in existence as a message to NEVER change it to green, lest incur my wrath. To be continued...
  23. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Machop#Sprites This is how normal and shiny Machops have looked between Gens 1 and 5. ALL shiny Machop here are depicted as being brown or golden brown just like the Machop above. Not green. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B3bjPWMCAAIZ6Tg.jpg:large This is the shiny Machop a friend of mine found. It may just be the quality of the photo but it looks green to me, far greener than any shiny Machop seen in the above pics, and far greener than the shiny Machop of X and Y, which used the exact same models.
