  1. That was me after BZP.new first launched in late 2011, but I gradually visited the site less and less. I'm back, though (hopefully I don't drift off again).
  2. It's been so long that I can't remember anymore. All I know is that I discovered BZP in early 2007 but didn't join until mid-2008.
  3. Before Bionicle ended, BZP was much more active. There were more comic makers, more GD threads, and more everything. I remember when I posted so much that I broke 2 posts per day for my PPD count. Posting and proto essentially meant everything; they were the equivalent of being a Mythic member over at Bungie years ago. Honestly, old BZP was one of the most active forums I've ever seen.
  4. I'd go with Mata Nui. Metru Nui would be cool, but I think it would start feeling like a drag after a few days, like a trip to New York CIty would. On the island of Mata Nui, there would be a lot to see and it would all be spread out. Plus I think it would feel much more peaceful than a busy city.
  5. I got my hands on Rotor first mainly because of the orange and black color scheme.
  6. Exo-Toa. I've been trying to get my hands on that set for as long as I can remember.
  7. I've never been embarrassed to talk about Bionicle in public. Back in sophomore health class (jeez that was nearly two years ago now), we had to do something called an "identity box" and fill it with things that represented our personalities. In addition to putting in drawing materials, games, and such, I put in the six kanohi of the Toa Mata sets as a tribute to my childhood years. Bionicle had an immeasurable impact on my life and I never found it hard to rant about. Maybe that's also because I hang with pretty open-minded people but still..
  8. Any of the OG rahi would be great choices. To be more specific, I'd go with the Tarakava; I would have gone with Muaka and Kane-Ra, but they may be too complex for a newcomer. Close runner-up choices would be Boxor or any 2006 warrior set.
  9. If I had my way at 343, the remastered maps would be Prisoner, Derelict, Danger Canyon, Midship, Lockout, and Ice Fields. There hasn't been much love for Halo PC maps at all, aside from the Timberland remake for CEA. I can't wait to do pistol duels in CE on XBL dedicated servers. Nothing really comes close to such skill-demanding gameplay; Halo has been in easymode for too long. Plus I'm bored of the same servers running the same maps all the time on Custom Edition. And at the above, a game night sounds great. Which game would it be?
  10. I've already seen Gurren Lagann and watched the movies, but I'll probably watch it again when Toonami starts airing it. To be honest, I really thought they would've aired it sooner, but I guess it's better late than never.
  11. I finished reading Debt of Honor by Tom Clancy a couple weeks back, before I left for Germany. Currently, I'm reading The Once and Future King for English next year and am nearly done The Sword in the Stone/the first 208 pages. Hopefully I'll have more time to read Executive Orders when my summer work is done.
  12. I may be a little late to the party, but I really hope the return of Bionicle doesn't affect the community like Reach and Halo 4 did. Instead of appeasing both the old fans and the younger ones, Reach and 4 caused the community to split and become highly polarized...hence the Reach forum. Lego shouldn't try to tailor to two different audiences. Back in 2001, everyone was in the same boat, regardless of age, and experienced the launch of a massively popular toy line. Thirteen years later, there will probably be yet another situation similar to this, except now "veterans" will be there. At the very worst, we "veterans" won't feel the same sense of mystery because we have already experienced it and have the nostalgia to prove it. And we might even view new Bionicle as "dumbed-down". But we can still guide the new fans, because they will be bound to have questions about the story.
  13. I've always liked the zamor launchers and the rhotuka spinners. Both got incredible range and could easily be integrated into creations. While that's also true for the thornax launcher, I found that it just looked too bare when connected to a Glatorian hand with just two axle pieces.
  14. 2007's lime green molds were easily the worst. Was it a bad batch or something that caused them to break so easily? Anyway, 2008-2010's sockets were pretty brittle, too, but surprisingly, all of my Av-toran limbs have held out. As for that above picture, I'm surprised that Lego hasn't come up with a thigh mold like this yet. It would be among the most versatile Hero Factory pieces, along with the 2.0 torso.
  15. I'm adding a purple kaukau to my list of "masks that I want but aren't actual set pieces". That would look boss on a being of gravity.
  16. I still remember it for the most part after all these years. I used to feel like a genius for translating stuff from it and writing in the Matoran language myself.
  17. I've seen the proto-Manas before, but I've always wondered if people out there actually owned them. That said, I would only want one for those Raus. But the Sand Tarakava is a different story. Was there ever a given reason for it not being a final product?
  18. Way back in 2001, my mom got McDonald's for lunch while we were on our way to my grandmother's house. Luckily, this was when the Tohunga were promotional toys, and I got Macku. If you want to count store sets, it was Pohatu and Onua.
  19. Naturally, the sizes are way off as you progress through Bionicle's years because of changing pieces and limitations. Like Onua Mata only being as tall as Nuparu Inika/Mahri's legs. It would be awesome to see how big the rahi from 2001 would be compared to an Av-toran, though.
  20. I want this to be true more than that H4 DLC remake thread I saw on another forum.
  21. Probably Kopaka. We're both loners, but we know how to get the job done. Also, we're both good problem solvers.
  22. I was with it from its very beginning until the end, or from when I was four until I was 13. I loved the sets, whatever amount of the story I could comprehend, everything about it. I still build with my sets and play from time to time, but it just isn't the same without the story or my childhood.
  23. Surge is my favorite of the 2013 sets. He just looks awesome.
