  1. 2006. No contest. However, I would change that answer in a heartbeat to 2007 just to see Matoro's sacrifice.
  2. When I was a wide-eyed little 6th grader, I joined bs01, and chose my username by slamming together all the things i liked at the time into one name: Jedi Master Snoopy of Galifrey. Within a few months, a user named Matoro Ignika (I wonder if he's still around, I should see) put me in a "friends" template on his page, but abbreviated my name. It's stuck ever since, I've even used JMSOG as a seudonim in other places as well. But yeah: picture Snoopy with a lightsaber, that's what my name's supposed to be XD
  3. It is a pretty awesome feeling...The sheer quantity of stress that I just don't have anymore is crazy...
  4. Just got my first college acceptance letter, to MSU, my current #2 option. Excuse me as I curl up into a puddle of joy.
  5. Despite all the joking on Nick Cage, i think we can seriously agree on one point: he would make an amazing Lesovik. for the prime toa: Tahu: the guy who played him in MoL Lewa: Chris Pratt Kopaka: Hugh Laurie Onua: Patrick Warburton Pohatu: Hugh Jackman Gali: Anna Gunn
  6. I think that he's the current protector, and that the scene shows the previous generation of protectors telling the younger generation, showing that time has passed since the "The legend" episode. I thought so too, but you can see the little guy in the back of the croud during Tahu's arrival.
  7. I watch the videos...I immediatly think Takua is the little villager...I feel so smart, thinking i'm the only one to catch it...nope. XD They're really trigger-happy with vahi references, and I absolutely love it. Am I the only one who likes the voice acting? I like it being told by a single narrator. While gen1 got to the point where it made sense to treat it as a complex, detailed world, the narrator telling the story makes it feel like a legend. I like that feeling so far, which makes me not too upset over a male-voiced Gali. also: "Oh, my back? No, that's not a hunch." "… then what is it?" "Gatling gun." "…" this made me incredibly happy. Picture Vakama doing that when he first met tahu...THAT would have been sweet. EDIT:
  8. Is there a single argument AGAINST Teridax? For second place, though, I would have to say Zaktan. I really found his character intriguing and, to this day, after re-reading some of the story, his character still carries a substantial amount of weight.
  9. Seems fair enough. Such a suggestion should have an official spot to be made, though.
  10. I accidentally voted for both pridak and hydraxon...My actual vote is hydraxon.
  11. http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/f/f8/Talvi_Metru.PNG What about this one? Or is that dark grey? Comparing it as apple-to-apples as I can (with an onu matoran from those same promo cds), that is indeed dark grey. Despite the fact that only one kadin has ever been in a set, i doubt that anyone will bat an eye at a slightly off mask color if it's used in a MOC.
  12. Why do people keep harping on that? I did give a reason... And as said in the topic, that is often how creative work is done; people give a partial idea and others participate by building on it. Then that could lead to a specific tool, and one suggestion did come from that, which I said I liked. (However, overall I think the entire poll is taking it too far.) I can only guess you just saw a post from somebody who had missed that and created a false rumor. Please be careful not to risk passing on false rumors like that and actually read the topic in question. My mistake, i apologize. ...I was not clear with what i meant, sorry about that...I meant a blanket "no more" on the toa tools in general. They could be handled differently. For example: people may wish specifically for the toa of earth to retain an air of mystery, due to the scene where teridax finds his kakama. While on the other hand, perhaps someone could come up with a tool description for the toa of stone which provides some interesting character insight, just as Lhikan's swords/shield (can't remember name) do for him. Blanketly saying that canonization should not happen stifles that possibility.
  13. ...I think that may be why religious topics aren't allowed in the first place...
  14. I got all the toa mata at once, but i think the first one I built was Kopaka (not sure about that one though)
  15. Paraphrasing what i said on the Toa Mangai of the Green's weapon topic... I voted yes. I think that the mangai weapons canonization status should be handled on a weapon-by-weapon basis, not a blanket "NO MORE". With the GAFCP in place now, there is space for random "something wooden" style suggestions to be rejected, but to accept people who submit a well-thought out reasoning for a weapon, and to have the poll based on those. If the majority opinion truly is that they all remain unknown, then in every poll, "unknown" would win. However, the idea that we should blanketly say that there should not be any discussion about the weapons at all is something i am against. This silences those in favor canonization, just like people who had been against canonization had (unfortunatly) been silenced up to this point.
  16. I'm not particularly happy about that poll for the same reason a lot of people aren't happy about the blanket canonizations recently...It should be a case-by-case basis that canonizations be turned down, not a blanket "NO MORE". If that is truly what the majority thinks, then in each weapon poll, "unknown" will be the winning result. Corresponding with the recent "Generally Accepted Fan Canonization Principles" (are we abbreviating it GAFCP?), there was space to begin anew with the weapons topics, and, instead of just throwing out "SOMETHING WOODEN" or along those lines, people could have written out well-thought-out explanations as to WHY they thought a specific tool or tool type would have been best, and we could have voted on those. The blanket "no more" silences people in favor of canonization, exactly as (unfortunatly) people who've been against canonization had been silenced up to about a week ago. In the end, Greg is. If Greg says something isn't canon, it isn't. We could take these polls to him, and he can flat out reject them if he chooses, and that would be okay. I would understand why he could be seen as a "rubber stamp", but keep in mind, nothing is stopping him from not using it if he thinks something is ridiculous. EDIT: misread Fisher's quote...i agree this topic should be closed in favor of whatever comes next, so long as something does come next...My apologies. I do stand by what i said about the poll, though.
  17. Just checked my walmart. Wasn't there, but man was I excited for the few seconds it took for me to get to the lego aisle. Thought: for fun, perhaps we should make a world map, and put markers for all the places they have been seen? there's gotta be a web utility for that...
  18. While I know that it will likely not make a difference, I understand where Maxim's coming from...one day wouldn't hurt.
  19. Kaukau for two reasons 1: From a story perspective, a toa of ice being able to effectivly swim in the material he has the power to freeze sounds like a fairly benificial skill 2: From a fan perspective: He will be MOCable XD
  20. I have a grand plan to, before I head off to college, rebuild all of my sets. This may be an impossible task, due to the fact that I own every set (minus the sand tarakava and the duracell sets)...
  21. That's actually tragic...Because of BZP, whenever someone calls me a cool dude, I instinctualy feel deeply offended XD Thanks!
  22. So, I've been on a 3-year BZP hiatus...Since i'm kinda back now, odd question...what basic policy changes happened? I looked through the rules, but I wasn't sure...What, policywise, is different between 2014 and 2011? I don't want to mess up XD
