1. Good luck, buddy! It's a big challenge, but you certainly sound like you're up for it! This certainly is quite the undertaking. Translating the robot's design into constraction pieces sounds like a really difficult thing to do, though I'm not a MOCist (MOCer?) so I wouldn't know.
2. These puns are really Kraahkan me up. I'm surprised no-one's Rode a book on them yet. It would be a Mirucle if I could find Ackar to hitch a ride home in, Onewat would be difficult though.
3. I feel like this game was rushed out the door to meet deadlines. Compared to other Lego games, the whole experience feels unpolished. The graphics, for one, are rough around the edges, and the humour rather falls flat. On top of which, many cutscenes are just low-quality rips straight from the movie. Now, don't get me wrong, it's a great movie, but it just makes the game look worse by comparison. Overall, my least favourite Lego TT game, but I'm sure it has its fans.
4. Wait wait wait... $13? You sure about that? That means that before the sale they were about $18/19. That doesn't sound right. Here in the UK, we haven't even got a sale on, but the digital versions are still selling at full retail price (or above), that is, £40 ($60) and up to £50 ($75). Global pricing is weird.
5. I actually really like that, and to be honest, I think I'm gonna step away from drawing female characters in general for a while. You should draw some more, you're pretty dang good at it. Thanks man. Remember, practice, practice, practice!
6. Not sure if non-lego-related stuff is allowed in Buy/Sell/Trade. I'mma go check that out, but in the mean time, good luck trying to get those li'l nfc figures. EDIT: Okay, so the rules state that there must be at least some Lego related items in the list. I'd report this topic to be closed if I were you. You'd be better off trying in a Nintendo forum, but I don't have any offhand recommendations. Happy Amiibo hunting!
7. Thanks Liuth, I might consider that! It was weird, halfway through drawing it, I suddenly realised: 'I like drawing humanized Bionicles!' But anyway, the focus here is D5 Petewa's art, I don't want to steal his spotlight or anything.
8. I'm gonna just come right out and say it, I love this idea for a design, but only as an idea. It could use a little more polish here and there, but it has the foundations of being a great design. Like people have suggested, doing preliminary sketches is vital to making a drawing look good when it's finished. I'd suggest getting together some reference pictures and looking at the proportions of women at different ages. (OK, now I've written that it sounds creepy, but you know what I mean) Also, I started drawing this earlier in the thread when people were talking about a slightly aged-up approach, and thought about how cool that sounded. I essentially took your design, redrew it in my own style, and made a couple of modifications. What do you think?
9. I gotta say, that punchline cracked me up. But man, I lost like thirty seven widgets on that wager!
10. Nice prototype, man! Although, you might want to work on your English a little. No offence, but it's kind of hard to understand.
11. I may be misquoting, but I thought Teridax had the whole thing planned out, even before the cataclysm. He put Mata Nui to sleep so that he could slip in his own conciousness in the brief moment after Mata Nui died, but the death effect of the virus took 100 years to kick in. So he wanted the Vahi to accelerate those thousand years, ('Now it will take a lifetime's journey... to achieve both our destinies!' etc) and told the Toa Metru that his plan was to awaken and lead the Matoran as a cover story so they wouldn't figure out his true scheme. Again, this is based on my recollections, and probably has some headcanon mixed in too, but that's what I saw it as. And as always, BS01 is your friend.
12. Wow, these things are awesome! The possibilities are endless, and I hope this inspires others to take up 3D printing too. On a side note, I wonder how this'll affect business for Vaal...
13. Oooh, I like that. That way, not only would there be an explanation for the 'new continuity' (because the universe literally reboots) but also it would give justification to Vakama's warning back in Gen1!
14. Great set of guidelines, although after watching TTV podcast 122, I feel like another rule should be added to the list. Questions presented to Greg must be open-ended, instead of putting words in his mouth. For example: Instead of "Does the 3rd Ice Toa Mangai wear a Kakama?" We should ask "What Kanohi does the 3rd Ice Toa Mangai wear?" See the difference? This way, we still get clarification on an issue whilst leaving the decision ultimately to Greg. In my opinion, these mass-voting polls are wrestling control away from the author.
15. Interesting thing I found - the video file is hosted on a certain 'www.akamaihd.net' This is, as far as I know, the first use of 'Akamai' since '02. Couldn't find out info about the site, it's all access blocked.
16. What no one realises is that this is in the dimension that Vultraz got dumped in, and he's somehow managed to become their king.
17. TTV called it first. This looks like a pretty certain confirmation. Choo-choo!
18. And as we know, we are an esteemed community - to even think there is a lifeless troll among us would be unholy.
19. Oh, so much. Those lime greens were the bane of 2007 MOC-makers.
20. Now, I haven't been on the forums here in a long time, but all this seems to violate the rules rather a lot. (i.e. discussion of leaked content, mentions of 'that video site' etc.) Have the rules changed? Anyway, since this thread is happening, I might as well chip in. From the display stand image, things seem very legit, else we have been fooled by a very elaborate troll with way too much skill. Personally, I think it's 99% sure for a 2015 return. After all, LEGO wouldn't design display stands more than a year in advance, and we can be pretty sure the autumn/winter 2014 wave won't come out of the blue. Better buy my tickets for the hype train!
21. Me wantee. Seriously, though, well done on undertaking such a huge task. Now all that's needed is to spam LEGO until they mass-produce it. It's like, a box set, only for comics. I love box sets. Although I will side with the majority in that I disagree with the trimming of the classics. I would have scanned them and printed them off smaller.
22. Cool screenies... I'm downloading minecraft right now, just so when this map is downloadable, I won't miss out.
23. WOW. Who would have thunk it? Anyway, thanks, smiley faces and buckets of gratitude to Erebus, and, of course, the man who made it all possible,Greg Farshtey! To anyone having trouble with spoiler tags, a common mistake is using html tags: <spoiler>text</spoiler> instead of BB tags:
text
24. Yayz! They're in stock in both UK S@H and my local Argos, except in Argos, ol' Speedy's missing. Same decent prices on both sites. I'm surprised that Stormer XL costs just 1.5 times the price of a medium set, given his obvious size difference, but I'm happy as long as it doesn't equal a low-quality set.Yayz again, folkes!
25. WOW. An award. Regardless of what for, that's an achievement in itself. Can't wait for the summer update!
