  1. I have way to many, I dunno what to do with them. -Omi
  2. Look what I got for my Squall minifig!! -Omi
  3. Cuz your can is outta this world!!! Me as Black Mage. -Omi
  4. Aerith Gainsborough is one of the female protagonists in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. She uses a staff as her weapon and wears a pink ribbon in her hair. Having lived in the slums of Midgar for years, she has become street-smart, and has had to evade the Shin-Ra many times. She is portrayed as a independent, outgoing and kind young woman who displays a stark understanding of others at times. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII. Great Gospel Note: Jacket was made by MMCB and bracers were made by Brickforge with some alteration by me. -Omi
  5. Squall Leonhart is the main protagonist from Final Fantasy VIII. The etymology of his name, Leonhart, means "Heart of the lion", descriptive in that while he is cold and aloof, he is also a born hero. His weapon, the gunblade, is one of the most famous weapons of the Final Fantasy series. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII. Lion Heart Note: Hair is custom made by Arealight. Rinoa Heartilly is the female protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. She is best known for her trademark 'Angel Wings' which are printed on the back of her duster sweater and as such her 'character symbol' is a white feather that signifies the wings. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII. Angel Wing Note: Duster sweater and belt were made by MMCB. Seifer Almasy is a temporary playable character turned antagonist in Final Fantasy VIII. He is the rival of Squall. He wields a Gunblade as well. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Seifer Almasy from Final Fantasy VIII. Fire Cross Note: Hair was custom made by Arealight (with some alteration by me), and coat was made by MMCB. Laguna Loire is a temporary playable character in Final Fantasy VIII. Laguna is a lovable, passionate, yet notoriously clumsy man who has played a significant role in the development of the Final Fantasy VIII world. His weapon of choice is the machine gun. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Laguna Loire from Final Fantasy VIII. Desperado Note: Hair was custom made by Arealight, jacket was made by MMCB, and gun was made by BrickArms. -Omi
  6. I wanted to wait until I was finished, but I wanted to show ya guys what I been up to lately. Balthier baby. And before this, I also made: Squall (FF8) Seifer (FF8) Laguna (FF8) Rinoa (FF8) Genesis (FF7: Crisis Core) Aerith (FF7) And because I wanted to, I also made Solid Snake and Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid (to go along with the Solid Snake I have from Metal Gear Solid 2) and Liquid Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid 4. I shall make future entries for them. -Omi

    Tactics

So I bought Final Fantasy Tactics A2, and have been playing it since yesterday. Funny thing is, I been playing it more than FF Tactics, which I don't understand why until now. Tactics may have a great story and such, but Tactics A2 (and Advance) seem to interest me more. Probably because it is the Ivalice I know, or the better jobs, or maybe its cuz of the Law system. And maybe Judges?
  8. Spoony Bard

    Lego Yuna

Yuna is the female lead of Final Fantasy X. She is the daughter of High Summoner Braska. As the Summoner and White Mage of the story, Yuna uses various Rods to cast her magic and is protected by the Rings she wears on her left hand. As expected, her Strength and Defense are quite low, but she has very high Magic, Magic Defense and Evasion. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Yuna from Final Fantasy X. "I fight for Spira." Upper shot of her left. Note: The skirt and obi were made by MMCB Lego Capes. The rod is obviously not Lego, but Mega Bloks. They at least have a better selection of weapons. Enjoy. -Omi
  9. Spoony Bard

    Crisis Core

So I got Crisis Core the day it came out, which was like last month. It is a great game. Since I have a busy schedule, I wasn't able to play much, but I did manage to beat it last night. And the death of Zack is just as brutal than it was in FF7. -Omi
  10. It was such a beautiful day out today, so I couldn't pass up the offer to take some pics outside. The Light Warriors of Final Fantasy Class Upgrades of Final Fantasy The Light Warriors of Final Fantasy III Black Mage and White Mage feeding Chocobo -Omi
  11. So I just got the new Black Mages album (their third one), and I am very impressed with this piece of work. I believe this is their best album yet. -Omi
  12. Their new album comes out March 19, and I came upon the track listing: 1. "Opening ~ Bombing Mission" (from Final Fantasy VII) 2. "Neo Exdeath" (from Final Fantasy V) 3. "The Extreme" (from Final Fantasy VIII) 4. "Assault of the Silver Dragons" (from Final Fantasy IX) 5. "Cloud of Darkness" (from Final Fantasy III) 6. "Distant Worlds" (from Final Fantasy XI) 7. "Premonition" (from Final Fantasy VIII) 8. "Grand Cross" (Final Battle theme from Final Fantasy IX) 9. "Darkness and Starlight" (extended arrangement of the opera "The Dream Oath: Maria and Draco" from Final Fantasy VI) 10. "Life ~ In Memory of Keiten ~" (original composition) "Cloud of Darkness" I have already heard, since it is on the FFIII DS soundtrack (and is actually my fave track from them). However, I am looking forward to their renditions of the Bombing Mission, The Final Battle from FFIX, and the FFVI opera. -Omi
  13. The Onion Knight, also known as Onion Kid, is one of the basic job classes in the Final Fantasy series. Like the Normal class, this job has no real abilities, and doesn't even get good equipment. However, their real abilities come from the fact that after reaching level 90, their stat growth shoots up. By level 99, an army of Onion Knights are invincible. They can either only equip the weakest and strongest armor in the game, or have the ability to equip virtually everything. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made the Onion Knight from Final Fantasy III (using the original sprite). Onion Knight Note: The helmet itself was mutilated by me in order to produce the correct design of the Onion Knight's helmet. The armor was custom made by Arealight, while the cape was crafted by Jdutch. The Geomancer is a job class that appears in various games in the series. Geomancers use bells as weapons, and equip light tunics as armor. Their special ability allows them to use the terrain they are fighting on as an attack. They can also walk across lava. As part of my lego Final fantasy Project, I have made the Geomancer from Final Fantasy III DS (using the Refia version). Refia, the Geomancer, on the rocking grounds The Ranger, also known as Hunter, is a job that appears in various games in the series. Rangers are mostly known for their ability to equip various ranged weapons to attack. Their most consistant special ability is called X-Fight, Rapid Fire, or Barrage. With this ability, the Ranger can attack multiple times (generally, but not always 4 times) with each hit doing less damage than the last. As part of my lego Final fantasy Project, I have made the Ranger from Final Fantasy III DS (using the Ingus version). Ingus as the Ranger Note: The bow is custom made by BrickForge. Enjoy. -Omi
  14. Garland is the first boss in the original Final Fantasy. Once the greatest knight in the kingdom of Coneria, he is corrupted by evil, and kidnaps Princess Sara. He is defeated by the four Warriors of Light. However, he is also part of a time loop created by himself and the four fiends. When the Warriors of Light travel to the past, they find him again, and he transforms into Chaos to do battle with the heroes. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Garland from Final Fantasy I. "I, Garland, will knock you all down!" Note: The horns, sword, and bracers were custom made by BrickForge. Matoya is a witch from the original Final Fantasy. She cannot see without the use of a special crystal, which was stolen from her by the sorcerer Astos. The Warriors of Light are able to recover her crystal by defeating Astos, and recruit her help in reviving the Elven Prince. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Matoya from the original Final Fantasy. Matoya, with her backwards-talking brooms Enjoy. -Omi
  15. So after waiting ages for the soundtrack to appear on ebay, I finally got my hands on the soundtrack for the DS remake. And it is awesome. -Omi
  16. NAME: Blue Magus OVERVIEW: The Blue Magus is a class that combines the traits of the Blue Mage, Geomancer, and Mime classes. It can be upgraded from either the Blue Mage or Geomancer, therefore making it a powerful class. The Blue Magus uses magic influenced by the environment around him, whether it be the terrain (Geomancer), opponent (Blue Mage, Mime), or ally (Mime). WEAPONS: Small Swords, Staves, Bells, and Flutes ABILITIES/MAGIC: BluMag (Blue Magic) - These are abilities learned from enemies: Doom - When cast on one enemy, the enemy dies after X number of turns. Roulette - Inflicts Instant Death to a random target, be it enemy or ally. Aqua Breath - Deals Water-elemental damage to all enemies. Lvl5 Death - Causes Instant Death to all targets, who's level is a multiple of 5 Lvl4 Graviga - Casts Graviga on all targets with a level that is a multiple of 4 Off-Guard - Lowers the target's Defense and Magic Defense 1000 Needles - Inflicts 1000 Damage to a single target Transfusion - Fully restores target's HP and MP. ATTRIBUTES: High Magic Damage High Magic Defense Low Physical Damage Low Defense Low Speed High Evasion High Accuracy Personal Note I wanted to create a magic using class that can rival the Sage (who can use all levels of White, Black, and Summon magic). So if a Sage is a concoction of 3 powerful classes (Devout, Magus, Summoner), why not create something opposite that is made from 3 sucky classes (Blue Mage, Geomancer, Mime), which the creation would be superior to most classes.
  17. Apparently FFVII and FFX were remade - for the NES. Both are not hacks or any NES FF ports, but were rather built from scratch. A Chinese company called Shenzhen Nanjing Technology has ported FFVII to the Famicom (NES), and reviewers claim that the port had stayed true to the plot of the story. However, the graphics have been toned down from 3D to 2D, where sprites from other Final Fantasy games for the NES and SNES were used. Also, certain subquests have been removed, meaning there is no Yuffie or Vincent. The music, however, is not from FFVII but from FFII and FFIII. I have seen screenshots and a video of it, and it looks decent. When I get the chance, I'll either download it, or get the hard copy. As for the FFX one. I dunno who made it, but it looks way better than the FFVII one. All sprites and game settings look exactly as they should be in FFX. And instead of reusing the FF NES music, they converted the FFX music to the format NES uses. I saw 2 videos of it, and I'd rather play this one other than the FFVII one. -Omi
  18. Chocobos are a recurring race of avian mounts from many of the Final Fantasy games. They are often used as transportation around the world in a method that keeps random encounters away and increases land speed. They have been known to have various cries throughout the series. The earliest games had them crying "Cooc Cooc," the newer games had them crying "Wark," and the newest games have them crying "Kweh". As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made the chocobo from the Final Fantasy series (by using the basic bit sprites from old school games). Warkweh! -Omi
  19. For those who have played (or know of) Final Fantasy, you learn that Final Fantasy is a series that isn't a continuance of each other. Like for example, Final Fantasy II is not a sequel to Final Fantasy I. The only thing that connects a Final Fantasy game with another Final Fantasy game is common traits and references, such as Chocobos, Moogles, and characters named Cid. The original Final Fantasy did not have that, and up until the Dawn of Souls remake that Final Fantasy did have a Cid (who was only referred to, never seen). Final Fantasy IX was the last Final Fantasy game to be on the Playstation console (before moving to PS2), so FFIX was a salute to all Final Fantasy games previous to it. Obvious references are made to each game, however most of them were to Final Fantasy I strictly. Which comes to the question, is Final Fantasy IX a sequel to Final Fantasy I? I shall break down all theories and answer this question. So lets start with the basics: Geography. Geography These are the world maps for Final Fantasy (left) and Final Fantasy IX (right). At first glance you may see the similarities with the maps and continent formations, however you would be looking at the maps incorrectly. As you can see on the FFI Map and FFIX Map, the world of FFIX (known as Gaia) does not share any common towns or locations with FFI, except for a few locations that were meant to happen. Gulug Volcano was one of them. In the original Final Fantasy, it was called Gulg Volcano. When it returned for FFIX, there was a mistranslation error and it was called Gulug Volcano instead of Gulg, but it was meant to be the same volcano. Even the music for these areas are the same. The other locations are the elemental shrines. In FFI, the elemental shrines were Earth Shrine, Gulg Volcano (Fire Shrine), Sunken (not shown on map), and Floating Castle (Wind Shrine). In FFIX, they were just called Earth Shrine, Fire Shrine, Water Shrine, and Wind Shrine. The Fire Shrines of each game are in close relation to Gulug Volcano. Although not a location, but a common trait, is the race of dwarves. In FFI, the dwarves lived in the Dwarf Cave near the Earth Shrine, and in FFIX, they resided in Conde Petie. Now comes the problem, these locations do not mirror each other, which can debunk my case. But I managed to fix it. By turning the FFI map so that Gulug Volcano is in the right place in FFIX, you now see that the common locations match up. Now how does that work out? Well there is a location in FFIX called Ipsen's castle, which holds the elemental mirrors. Why is this so important? Well the castle itself a direct reference to Escher's Relativity, and may be responsible to how FFI change it's cardinal directions. Either that, or we were looking at FFI upside down the whole time. Now comes to the explanation as to why the continents shifted and changed to match that of FFIX. The most simple answer is that disaster struck. Earthquakes and floods can cause major damage. The only proof of such thing is that in FFIX, when you are in Memoria (made up of memories), you learn of Gaia's history. The layout of Memoria is also built from Memory of others, and it shows areas being destroyed, and a castle-like area being flooded, etc. Civilization and records can be lost and everything becomes anew. FFIX also makes mentions of past wars. This can play a part too. So taking all this into consideration, some of the towns of FF would eventually become towns of FFIX: - Lufenia (Lefein) becomes Oeilvert (labeled as 24 by 30 on the map for some reason) - Crescent Lake becomes Esto Gaza (not labeled on map, but is 25 by 29) - Dwarf Cave becomes Conde Petie - Gaia becomes Daguerro - The Chaos Temple becomes the Iifa Tree/Memoria. All other towns are destroyed and lost. History and Races Final Fantasy I has five main races: Humans, Lufenians, Elves, Dwarves, and Mermaids. Final Fantasy IX has a myriad of interesting species, but the main distinct races are Humans, Burmecians/Cleyrans, Qus, Moogles, and Dwarves. So why would IX had different races than I? Well it mainly involves time. See in FFI, the world was caught in a 2000-Year-Loop caused by Garland. This happened when the 4 Fiends sent Garland to 2000 years into the past. Garland became Chaos and sent the 4 Fiends (of the past) into 2000 years into the future, so they can send Garland into the past, who would send the 4 Fiends into the future. This time paradox-loop caused time to not be able to move forward in a sense. And even if it did, it would just be the end of the world, which isn't FFIX. So when the Light Warriors of FFI broke the time loop by destroying Chaos, the world and time was restored, so no more paradox. So the world was able to shift towards the time that FFIX is now in (with Moogles and Chocobos, which are not present in FFI, probably because of the time loop). Since Lufenians were an ancient race, they may have died out, which would explain why they aren't in FFIX. Now for the history. Well you would expect that the tale of FFI would be referenced to in FFIX, if the worlds are the same, that would mean history would point towards FFI. Wrong. No mention of FFI's story and plotline are in FFIX. However there is a reason for this. And it involves the 2000-Year-Loop. When Chaos was destroyed and the loop along with it, the Light Warriors returned to the present time. Well when they returned, the world, along with the Warriors, suddenly had a memory wipe. Basically everything in FFI was forgotten by the end of the game. No one knew about Garland and Chaos, nor remember about the crystals being drained. And since no one had memory of it, it couldn't be recorded into history, which is why FFIX makes no mention of it. Characters This is the one thing that does a major connection, is the roles of key characters. Garland Picture Comparison In FFI, Garland was the main antagonist, and also the one behind the 2000-Year-Loop. He was a former good knight of Corneria until he became bad. He was sent back into the past where he would become Chaos, the final boss of the game. Chaos was destroyed, and with the loop broken, Garland is swept back to the present time along with the Light Warriors. In FFIX, Garland is a misguided antagonist. His plan was to take over Gaia with the Genomes. It was also said in the game that he "tried to conquer the world once, but failed", which references to his past attempts at world domination. Matoya In FFI, Matoya is a witch. She cannot see without the use of a special crystal, which was stolen from her by the dark elf Astos. The Warriors of Light are able to recover her crystal by defeating Astos, and recruit her help in reviving the Elven Prince. In FFIX, although she does not make a physical appearence, she still gets a reference. When on the quest to restore Cid back to his human form, the 3 potions that Zidane looks for, make reference to the Book of Matoya, in which they get the recipe from to make the final potion. The Four Fiends Picture Comparison In FFI, the Four Fiends are Lich (Earth), Malirith (Fire), Kraken (Water) and Tiamat (Wind). You fight each of them twice. Once to restore the crystals, and again 2000 years in the past at the Chaos Temple. In FFIX, the Four Fiends reprise their role and were the Four Fiends of Chaos (aka the Four Chaoses). They are found with their respective temple. The team has to split up and defeat them at the same time, so you only fight Lich (called Earth Guardian). However you do fight all of them in Memoria, and their sprites are different. You also run into their crystal forms as random encounters in the Crystal World, the last section of Memoria. Tantalus In FFI: Dawn of Souls (and PSP), Tantalus was mentioned to be a theatre troupe. You find this out from a dancer in the Lifespring Grotto. Screenshot In FFIX, Tantalus is the band of thieves that Zidane belonged to. They were also great actors, and they perform "I Want To Be Your Canary" in both the beginning and end of the game. Key Elements Items and other elements and symbols that have connection. Rat's Tail In FFI, this was a key item of importance. Found in the Castle of Ordeals, Bahamut sent you out to get it in order to upgrade your job class. In FFIX, this item can be bought at the auction house in Treno. Not much of an important item, but selling it unlocks more rare items in the auction house. Levistone In the original FFI, this item was called FLOATER (as in a floating stone, hence the name change in later incarnations). This item helped raise the airship from the desert. In did return however, in FFIX, as Pumice. The Pumice item in Final Fantasy IX, which is used to summon Ark, the massive, transforming airship, is known as "Fuyuuishi" (ふゆう石, or "floating stone"). In the original Final Fantasy, this item was translated as "FLOATER". Pumice also floats on water. "I Want To Be Your Canary" In FFI: Dawn of Souls (and PSP), this is the play performed by Tantalus. Mentioned by a dancer in the Lifespring Grotto. The lead role is Cornelia, a princess. Screenshot In FFIX, this is the play that Tantalus performs for Alexendria. It is seen in both the beginning and end of the game. The lead role is Cornelia, a princess. Princess Sara Despite being a character, this name is a common element moreso as character. In FFI, Sara is the princess of Cornelia, and was captured by Garland. in FFIX, Sara is actually Garnet's real name. Also note the fact that Garnet is also a princess during the game (and even performed the role of Cornelia in the play in the beginning). Although not captured by Garland in this game, her village Madain Sari, was destroyed by Garland via the Invincible. Jane In FFI, Jane is Sarah's mother. In FFIX, Jane is Garnet's (Sarah) mother. Elemental Crystals In FFI, there were four crystals representing each element: Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. They are in their respective domains on the above map. Restoring the crystals opens up the time portal inside the Chaos Temple (which sends you to the past where Garland awaits). In FFIX, although not in the form of crystals, there were elemental mirrors. Each had to be placed in their respective temple (which causes the fiends to appear. Destroying them opens up the gateway to Terra, where Garland awaits). Job Classes Each original job class of Final Fantasy appear in Final Fantasy IX. In fact, your first team of the four main characters (Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner) is a combo of the original classes from FFI. - Zidane is the Thief - Steiner is the Fighter - Garnet (and Eiko) is the White Mage (Garnet also wears the White magr robes in the beginning). - Vivi is the Black Mage (and is also not the only Black Mage in the game) - Amarant is the Monk. He also shares traits of the Ninja as well. Despite a main character not being this class, Red Mages do appear in FFIX as NPCs. You can find them walking around Lindblum and Treno. Memoria Memoria is the final area of FFIX, and is quite the interesting at that. Usually the final dungeons of Final fantasy are either some dark castle with hellish features (FFI, FFII, FFVI, FFVIII), or some dark realm void of light (FFIII, FFV), or even a deep, dark cave (FFIV, FFVII). Memoria is nothing like the previous dungeons, because it is a place built of memory, hence the name. When the party is here, they encounter memories they experienced (and also ones they did not experiance as whole. Take Quina's "drowning" incident, which s/he was remembering her time in the ocean, when the others were baffled). However, not only is it built on the memory of the party, it is also the memories of the souls and planet (which is what Zidane mainly sees). How Memoria is involved with FFI? Well, you do fight the Four Fiends here. Even though they are encountered earlier on, this can also clue in to them being figments of the past (from FFI's time). How Final Fantasy V Connects Even though this entry is about FFIX being a sequel to FFI, it never hurts to bring in some more support from yet another FF game. The game itself has connections to both FFI and FFIX, so lets take a look at them. First lets go with the geography of FFV (right) and compare it to FFI (left). These maps are somewhat similar. Only strong similarities are what I circled. The bottom circle of each map I circled for a reason. In FFI, that is where you obtain the airship. In FFV, the airship is also here. No locations are similar, however I can only find one location that can be shared with FFV. Bal Bal was a kingdom/castle in FFV on the Second and Third worlds. Galuf was the king of this location. No appearence in FFI, but the city Bran Bal shares the name "Bal". Bran Bal can be found on Terra, the "second" world. Now for characters: Gilgamesh Gilgamesh first appeared in FFV as the right hand to Exdeath. After a screwup, Exdeath banished him to the Void (only because he confused two swords which are alike - The Excalibur and Excalipur). He manages to escape the Void (though he didn't escape in FFV. He escaped in FFVIII, and now has the ability to traverse other realms.) Gilgamesh is seen not just as a warrior, but a treasure hunter and sword collector, which makes sense for his appearances in FFI and FFIX. In FFI (Dawn of Souls and PSP), Gilgamesh is in the Lifespring Grotto (same place with the dancers mentioning Tantalus and the play). He attacks you when open a chest. His sprite is that of the one from FFV. In FFIX, Gilgamesh is under the alias Alleyway Jack, who is the best treasure hunter ever. He has four arms (which alludes to Gilgamesh when he has multiple arms). When you reach the Rank S, he reveals not only his true name but also admits that he isn't really the best treasure hunter (which alludes to how Gilgamesh exaggerates his skills) Atomos Atomos' first appearence was FFV as well. He is found at the top of Barrier Tower. He is extremely tough. In FFI (Dawn of Souls and PSP), Atomos is in the Lifespring Grotto. You must fight him in order to leave the dungeon. In FFIX, Atomos was a summon associated with the Gravity element. He is first seen when Queen Brahne uses him to finish off Lindblum. Gogo Gogo's first appearence was in FFV. He was an enemy and also a mime, and the only way to defeat him was to mimic him. Beating him gives you the Mime class. He makes no appearence in FFI (and its remakes), however his does get a mention in FFIX. When obtaining the Magical Fingertip, the description makes mention of Gogo, who makes very lifelike dolls. Necrophobe Necrophobe is a boss from FFV, and is one of the Demons of the Rift. He is located in the Void. He isn't in FFI, however he does make a comeback in FFIX as Necron, the final boss. Necron is located in Memoria. Both Necrophobe and Necron are very similar in appearence, as you can see here. Not only that, but Necron's signature move, Grand Cross, is also used by Neo Exdeath, final boss of FFV. Now for key elements: Two Worlds, One Planet The world of FFV used to be one world, until it was split into two (due to the split of the crystals). Exdeath merged the worlds back into near the end of the game. Nothing strange like this happens in FFI, but in FFIX it does. Gaia and Terra are two seperate worlds, and were also two seperate planets at one point. It is unknown how they merged (though the purpose was so that beings on Terra can populate the world on Gaia). Gaia is the planet we see on the outside, while Terra itself is found inside Gaia The Four Mirrors The Four Mirrors of FFIX were allusions to the four crystals of FFI. However they make good allusions to FFV as well. Each mirror has a description of a location (where in the games, it is a location of a seal). The Mirrors of FFIX broke the seal to terra (allowing travel to it), while the Tablets of FFV broke the seal to the legendary weapons. Descriptions are similar. FFV Tablet Descriptions: "One rests with the souls of the past, protected by the earth." "One is in an island shrine, protected by the wind." "One is in a place deeper than the floor of the sea, protected by flame." "And the last behind a waterfall, protected by water." FFIX Mirror Descriptions (in the order corresponding to the above): "My power is protected under the shaking ground." "My power is protected by a tornado." "My power is protected high atop a fiery mountain." "My power is protected underwater, surrounded by the earth." It should also be noted that the locations described on the Tablets in FFV become the new locations of the crystals in the end of the game. Spellblade The Spellblade ability was an ability in FFV used by the Mystic Knight job class. It allowed them to apply magic to charge their sword with the magic. This ability only made its return in FFIX as Steiner's Magic Art ability. Does the same thing, however he can only perform this with assistance from Vivi. The Void The Void is the final location for FFV. It is also the place where all evil gains power from, and where the ultimate evil, Enuo, gave up his immortality in order to gain the infinite power housed there. His plan failed and he was engulfed by the Void. The Void mirrors that of Memoria (final location of FFIX). First, each area of the Void looks similar to regular locations of FFV. So in a sense, the Void is a mesh of many locations (alluding to it absorbing the world). The final stage of the Void is very crystalline in appearence. Memoria is just the same. Each stage is just a different area (because it is composed of memory). The final stage of Memoria is the Crystal World. Necrophobe is found in the Void, and is in the final stage of the Void. Necron is at the very end of the Crystal World in Memoria. Gilgamesh was banished to the Void. In Memoria, when obtaining the secret sword Exacalibur II, there is a note left for him: "To Brother Gil - Bro, I found the sword, like you told me. But there were two. One of 'em had a lame name, Something II. It was a dingy, old thing with flashy decorations, something you'd probably like. So I went with Excalipur. I'll be back after I find the Tin Armor." —Unnamed This would also make sense as to why Gilgamesh is in Gaia. Final Conclusion After going through the evidence, it sure is likely that FFIX was meant to be a sequel to FFI. FFV could be added somewhere along the lines as a prequel, sequel, or interquel, however the thing that disproves FFV from being connected to the worlds of FFI and FFIX is its name. The final merged world of FFV was called Planet R (only mentioned in Legend of the Crystals, sequel to FFV). And since FFI had no name for its world, it is still up in the air. However the evidence that the Void = Memoria stays remotely the same, and can be used to support the connections. However the only thing that debunks this entire entry is the fact that there is no official word of FFIX being a sequel to FFI, but just a game with lots of references to salute the games. -Omi

  21. Been putting off the airship for a bit. Cloud is also being put off for now. Right now I am finishing up the Summoner from FFIII. I have also made another Job class from FFV, and a character from FFI. And right now I am starting on a special job class from FFIII. Should be a no brainer if you wish to guess. And also another character from FFI. So basically simple figs. I'll even take some requests to do figs from FFI-FFVI, to keep me busy. -Omi
  22. Adelbert Steiner is a character in Final Fantasy IX. He is the leader of the Knights of Pluto and is assigned to protect Princess Garnet. Steiner's job class echoes the classic Knight. He uses swords and heavy armor. As part of my Lego Final Fantasy Project, I have made Adelbert Steiner from Final Fantasy IX. "Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude?" Note: The pauldrons and bracers were custom made by Brickforge. The sword, is well, Mega Bloks. It is cool regardless of what it came from. -Omi
